David's Start of a New Adventure by triplex

Story Notes:

Hey everyone! I'm TripleX and I've been reading on AGNPH for a while now, and the stories I've read are awesome. Even though I love reading fanfics, especially Pokemon fanfics, I would like to write and publish my own ideas of pokemon stories to AGNPH. But I was too afraid that they were not good enough or too amateur for you readers out there.Anyways, as I was reading some of my favourite author's stories, I've notice that the some of authors are updating their stories less and less, or slowly and slowly, and/or even sometimes to the point that they have to postpone their stories for a long period of time. I and many others understand that they are too busy doing other important things, or having huge writers block. But it gets frustrating for me and other readers out there to have to wait and wait for the authors to update their amazing stories, and it has come to the point that I can't wait any longer for the authors to update their stories. So I bravely decided to write and publish my stories out to AGNPH and other fanfiction websites to see how good my stories really are and how well you readers like my stories. So please comment or give me a good review of my stories, and rate as well. Also if you have time, comment on my stories on how to improve on my stories better to other readers out there so that they would want to read more and more of my stories. I will try to do my best to write and publish my stories as fast as I can, but also try to make them as great as possible. It's going to take awhile for me to write and publish my stories, but I got ideas going and they come fast, so please bare with me with the whole waiting part and see if my stories are excellent for all of you readers out there. :)I'm going to be starting my first pokemon story; it's called, "David's Start of a New Adventure". Rated XXX for Romance in later chapters, OCxPokemon. WARNING: there is yaoi involved and probably some more of it, so try to bare with it. If not DON'T READ IT!! But there will be a lot of friendships in this story and heart warming events. So I would recommend you at least read some it and I also think it's worth reading. If you want more information about me or more info about my characters of my stories you can click here, TripleX's Profile..........

Having A Rough Start

..........

It was now in the morning in the Pokemon world as the sun was rising from the horizon while everything in the forest in route 203 came to life. Within the forest David and his companions were getting ready for another day ahead of them just as they were finishing packing up the camp supplies.

Once they're finished, they began to walk out of the forest and into the path again that would lead to Oreburgh Gate and afterwards, their destination, Oreburgh City.

Although they kind of hit a snag while they were traveling on the path of route 203. You can't exactly go through a route peacefully without other trainers on the same route as you while they're looking for a battle. Trainers are considered lucky if they had no other trainers walking along the same path and want to battle them.

You got to admit, it gets a little annoying when every route you go to there's at least one trainer in the same route that wants to battle you. Sometimes it'd be nice to have a peaceful walk once in a while without being asked, 'Hey you, I challenge you to a battle.'

But David thought otherwise as this would be a good opportunity for the gecko Pokemon to gain more experience, and also that the trainer needed more cash.

..........
(Somewhere along route 203)

While David uses Treecko to battle a male trainer with his Bagon, David was surprised how the gecko Pokemon was doing so well and how he improved so quickly. The trainer thought that Treecko battling Logan's Bidoof was great, but seeing Treecko now, it's like he's a whole different Pokemon with more confidence.

'Wow, I never thought Treecko could have so much confidence so fast.' David thought in amazement as he witness the gecko Pokemon jumping high in the air while doing a double front flip and brung his tail down, attempting to use 'Pound' towards the rock head Pokemon, Bagon. And with Latias cheering the gecko Pokemon on in the sidelines, it makes it all the better for him.

So as Treecko and David were busy battling their opponents and Latias cheering the gecko Pokemon on, there were two other Pokemon on the sidelines with the cheering Latias. They stand (well float for one of them) beside each other, watching the battle as well, but they felt awkward and uncomfortable in each other's presence.

"So......" Latios began, his gaze were set on the battle between Treecko and Bagon. But the blue Eon Pokemon was not exactly focused on the battle as he was focusing more on what he should say to the aura Pokemon. 'What should I say to her?' He thought to himself while somewhat watching the battle. And it looks like Treecko was winning at the moment. 'How in Arceus am I going to get to know her better if I can't even talk to her?' He asked himself again while looking at the ground, not focus on the battle anymore as he looks at a patch of grass on the path as if it was the most interesting thing in the world, thinking on what to say to his 'rival'.

"So......" Lucario said just as awkward while crossing her arms in frustration, also not knowing what to say to the blue Eon Pokemon. 'Oh for the love of Arceus this is stupid. Not only I have to be beside this 'overgrown-floating-lizard', I have to 'talk' to him too.' The aura Pokemon thought while she too gazes down at the ground. 'Why do I have to do this again?' She mentally asked. That's when a mental image of David came into view in the aura Pokemon's mind as if he was the answer, which it is. 'Oh yeah......'

And as if on que, they both though the same thing in union, 'What am I going to say without being offensive?'

Back in the morning when everyone was helping packing up David's camp supplies, the trainer suggested that both of them should just talk to each other so they can know each other better in order to have a good start on their, 'not-so-good-relationship' into a more...... peaceful relationship.

Since they're going to be traveling, David plus everyone else wouldn't want to have a scene when in public, two Pokemon start bickering about 'something' or rather than 'someone' that no one would have no clue on, only the trainer himself (because of the translator), and if someone else would have a translator on them, but that's mostly unlikely. It would pretty much look like two Pokemon ranting to each other, and you go to admit, the scene would look rather....... ridiculous and embarrassing to the trainer and to everyone else.

So everyone (unfortunately including Latios and Lucario) agreed on that the sooner both of them start getting along with one another, the better it is for everyone.

Although, it's easier said than done as Latios and Lucario are having a rough start as just having a simple conversation is more difficult than they thought. Like, how awkward and uncomfortable can it be for two individuals that hate each other to have a simple conversation while trying and not offend one of them or get them angry AND while trying to get along with each other at the same time? Very much as the blue Eon Pokemon and aura Pokemon can relate to that.

"Well uhh...... nice weather we're having." Latios said awkwardly as Lucario looked up and face the blue Eon Pokemon with a confused expression. 'Nice weather we're having? Nice going Latios, way to start the conversation.' Latios thought sarcastically while mentally slapping himself for thinking up such a cheesy line to begin with.

"Uhh yeah it's...... nice and...... calming." The aura Pokemon replied uncomfortably while looking away from the blue Eon Pokemon. 'Yeah it's nice and calming even though there's a FRICKEN BATTLE RIGHT IN FRONT OF US!' Lucario screamed in her thoughts, flicking his tail in frustration.

..........
(Later on......)

"Treecko use Quick Attack!" David called out to the gecko Pokemon. He did as he was told and went towards at a Roselia at high speed, making silver trails in his way for going so fast.

"Roselia dodge and then use Poison Sting!" A brunette girl from across David order the thorn Pokemon. Roselia manage to dodge Treecko at the last second before he could land a hit.

This is David/Treecko's sixth battle they had along route 203 and they admit to themselves that after today they're going to be very exhausted, especially the gecko Pokemon. David was lucky that he still had his potions with him to treat Treecko's small wounds easily after each previous battles. But if the numerous battles keep coming at them, he's going to eventually run out of potions and then he would have to use his other companions to battle in Treecko's place, which the trainer didn't want.

But it was nice for Lucario to be in a battle or two so the gecko Pokemon can have a break. Even Latias joined in a couple of battles just for the heck of it. But David wanted mostly Treecko to battle alone just for the pure experience of him battling alongside with his trainer, his friend.

In a way they're actually bonding even if they don't necessarily know it. It's like an ultimate trust between a Pokemon and their trainer. You can't exactly order your Pokemon to do anything in a battle if they don't trust you. Even though David sometimes didn't show it, he's always blown away of how amazing an actual Pokemon battle can be once he experienced it for real. Everything about the Pokemon world never ceases to amaze him whenever it comes to Pokemon. Sometimes on the inside, he felt like he would explode out of excitement of what new adventures he and his companions would be taken each day.

He was soon interrupted by a small explosion not far where he was, the loud noise bringing him back to reality. The trainer saw Treecko with his back in front of him as he was kneeling with one knee, panting from exhaustion. Although that Treecko may be at a disadvantage, because of Roselia being part Poison type. David felt, no, he KNEW that Treecko can get through this and win. Because he trust the gecko Pokemon.

"C'mon Treecko don't give up. I know you can do this." The trainer said with reassurance in his voice. With some energy he had left, the gecko Pokemon manage to stand up and eyed the Roselia with determination.

"Still not down, eh?" The brunette questioned her opponents, mostly to Treecko. "Alright it's your funeral...... Roselia use Toxic Spikes!" She commanded while the thorn Pokemon quickly reveals a small purple orb between it's out stretched pedal hands as it was getting bigger. Once it was set to its limits, the Roselia launched the purple orb. While in the air, the orb then somehow was divided into multiple spikes than headed straight to the battle floor, most of them heading where Treecko is.

"Treecko hurry, jump out if the way!" David suggested as Treecko quickly obeyed and jumped out of harm's way from the spikes, landing a few feet in front of the trainer.

'Damn it I don't know how long I can last.' Treecko thought in worry. His fatigue body aches from exhaustion while breathing heavily from his mouth, still exhausted from his previous battles.

.........
(On the sidelines....)

"C'mon Treecko you can do it! Kick that Roselia's flowery ass!" Latias called out between the battle. Treecko looking embarrassed from the red Eon Pokemon's support, but gave a small smile towards her. Roselia on the other hand felt offended from the rude call as it's face turned red from anger.

"Hey, watch your mouth missy I'll come over there and kick your butt to wherever you came from you freak!" Roselia said towards Latias, the thorn Pokemon's voice sounding feminine, clearly a female.

"Ohhh I'm so scared of a flower Pokemon." Latias said as she pretends to cower back with 'fear' in her voice. "What are you going to do? Attack me with those pretty pedals of yours?" She said while pointing towards Roselia's pedal hands in a mocking tone.

"I'll have you know that these 'pretty pedals' can rip your feathers to shreds!" The thorn Pokemon said, bringing her pedals up and face them towards Latias.

"Is that a threat? I heard more intimidating threats than pretty little pedals cutting my feathers." Latias replied scornfully. The red Eon Pokemon smirked to herself in accomplishment as she saw the Roselia shaking in rage as she was now starting to trash talk towards her, completely unfocused on the battle she had between Treecko.

"Roselia what are you doing?! Focus back on the battle!" The brunette girl ordered her Pokemon, but the thorn Pokemon unfortunately couldn't hear her trainer and kept on trash talking towards the clam Latias, who was smirking the whole time.

The brunette girl is feeling nothing but a mix of confusion and frustration towards her Roselia. Never once that her Roselia would ignore her orders, let alone getting her Pokemon to at least pay attention.

Now, seeing her Roselia ranting towards an innocent Latias was completely unexpected to her. But the young female trainer wasn't worried about Roselia's unexpected ranting; she was more worried about the battle at hand. If she doesn't get her Roselia to focus on the battle, her chances of losing could be crucial, and she doesn't want that.

While the brunette trainer tries to get her Pokemon to snap out of her ranting, David one the other hand only face palmed of what was happening before him. He was fortunate again that only he could understand what the Pokemon were saying previously. Latias' comments towards Roselia were not only unnecessary, but something he wouldn't expect from the red Eon Pokemon.

'What is she doing?' David thought the question to himself. He took his hand out of his face and gazed towards Latias. The red Eon Pokemon manages to notice the trainer's questionable gaze and only gave him a smiled while giving him a quick wink before she turned her attention back at the furious Roselia.

David recoiled somewhat at Latias' gesture. Was she up to something? If so, then what could it be? The trainer knows that he sometimes cannot be the sharpest tool in the shed, but he knows one of those 'winks' when he sees one. The, 'I'm-helping-you-out' kind of wink. (How does he know this, I don't know xD)

But when he tried to found out what the red Eon Pokemon was doing to help him, he quickly put the thought at the back of his mind and focus back on his unfinished battle.

'Speaking of an unfinished battle, what happen to Treecko?' David thought. The trainer was so focused on the events between Roselia and Latias that he completely forgot about the gecko Pokemon's condition.

When his gaze found Treecko, the gecko Pokemon's position was still remained where he was previously. Treecko seem too have recover from his exhaustion and was now standing, barely panting. Even if he's still recovering from his breathing somewhat, he doesn't look as tire from before, so that's a relief to the trainer.

The battle was still unfinished as far as it looked like. With Roselia still ranting at Latias and with Treecko mostly recovered now, the trainer could use this to his advantage. As much as it seemed unfair, the battle isn't finished and it has to end at some point. Besides, he was starting to get tired and wanted to get this over with and to continue with his and his companion's journey.

"Treecko quickly while Roselia is still distracted, use Pound." David ordered as Treecko heard his demand and did what he was told, running towards the distracted thorn Pokemon.

"What, hey?!" The brunette girl shouted towards David, obviously not prepared for this. "Roselia watch out! Focus on the battle!" She yelled at her Roselia at the top of her lungs while the gecko Pokemon's distance between him and Roselia became closer.

Roselia was somehow brought out of her ranting from the yell of her trainer, bringing her back to reality. The thorn Pokemon shook her head, getting her senses more aware of the current event that she was previously distracted from. When she got her focus back, Roselia turn her head and look back at the battle field, only to find her opponent missing. She just saw her opponent's trainer from across the battle field in front of her. The thorn Pokemon looked left and right, trying to find any possible way the gecko Pokemon could be hiding.

"Roselia look up!" The brunette corrected the thorn Pokemon from her confused awareness of her opponent. Roselia did just that and saw the gecko Pokemon high up in the air, the sun behind him. The thorn Pokemon had to cover her eyes with her arms to shield the blindness of the sun, completely blocking her view of her enemy. "Roselia hurry use Poison Sting!" The brunette said in desperation before she thinks it's too late. Roselia struggles to aim her pedal hands out towards Treecko. Due to the sun blocking most of her view, her accuracy is going to be quite slim.

As Treecko was still airborne, he distantly saw Roselia aiming her pedals at him. He knows that something was going to be shot at him from those pedals, but he had nothing to worry about since he had to sun behind him to his advantage.

Once the poisonous purple barbs came out of the pedals, they were all shot out to mostly at Treecko's direction. Even though they were heading directly at the gecko Pokemon, they were missing their target and weren't even close to touching Treecko as he was now falling towards the blind Roselia.

Everything seem to go in slow motion as the poison stings from Roselia aimlessly kept continuing as Treecko fell closer towards Roselia. Doing a couple of front flips and then aiming his dark green tail at the thorn Pokemon's head.

When they finally impact, clouds of dust and dirt flew all around the two Pokemon, making the situation unpredictable for anyone around them to see what was going on.

The clouds of dust cleared off shortly and everyone saw Treecko was on his knees, panting heavily. Roselia though on the other hand was on her back with dizzy swirls displayed on her eyes and with a small red bump appeared on her head.

"Nooo!" The brunette yelled in despair while her hands grabbed each side of her head and grips her hair tightly. She can't believe that she lost and knowing that she had the advantage made it all worse to be defeated. But she shortly accepted defeat and quickly sends her Roselia back in her Pokeball to rest.

Treecko wasn't aware that the battle was over and didn't know he won the battle as he was tired out from all that energy he had to put in that Pound attack. But when he was suddenly lifted off from the ground and was placed on someone's shoulder and seeing the smile on his face made him realized that he indeed was successful on his win. Knowing that made him smile, feeling relieved it was over and that he can finally rest again.

"So I guess you won, huh?" The brunette trainer said as she walks towards David with the resting Treecko on his right shoulder.

"Yeah...... I guess so." David replied while rubbing the back of his neck in awkwardness.

"Well I don't know how you and your Treecko did it, but you won nonetheless. So I guess I should give you this then." The young female trainer said while pulling out some cash and then handed them to David. The brunette then runs around the trainer and stops a few distances before she look back towards him and his Pokemon. "Next time you won't be so lucky when we meet again as I get my rematch." She stated with a smirk.

"Uh, yeah sure thing." David complies with a nod. The girl waved goodbye and then ran off in the opposite direction.

With that, David and his companions continued on towards their destination.

..........
(Later on....)

Luckily for David and everyone else there weren't any more trainers for them to battle as it seems while they were continuing on their travels on route 203.

"You did awesome today Treecko." David complemented while patting the gecko Pokemon's head, getting a, 'uh-huh' reply from him. "How did you know to use the sun to your advantage?" He asked curiously while facing Treecko on his right shoulder.

"I don't know..... it just happened." The gecko Pokemon said tiredly. "Hey David can I sleep for a little bit?" He quickly asked, his eyes drooping slowly.

"Sure thing buddy, you deserve it." David replied as he was about to grab Treecko's Pokeball from his belt. But he then stops when he felt the gecko Pokemon's head lean against his as the trainer heard light snoring from the tired Pokemon.

David smiled to himself as he decided to let Treecko sleep against his head. He puts away the Pokeball and then gently began petting the gecko Pokemon's head, earning a soft sigh from the sleeping Treecko.

"You and Treecko did great in that last battle." Latias said when she came up to David's left.

"We sure did, but I know that you had something to do about it." The trainer said while looking at the red Eon Pokemon with the corner of his eyes, grinning the whole time. "But why thought?"

He's not mad at her or anything; he just wanted to know why she helped him.

"Well I wanted to stall that Roselia long enough for Treecko to recover because I know he wouldn't last long if I didn't distract her." The red Eon Pokemon pointed out. "(giggles) I never knew that cute little Roselia could be such a potty mouth." She giggled while cover her mouth with her claws.

"He-he yeah, some parts of me wishes I didn't hear what she said to you." David manage to chuckle out.

"You don't even know how hard I had to sit there and not laugh." Latias said while having a mental image the ranting Roselia. A short reminder that things that seem to be cute and adorable sometimes aren't always what they seem to be.

..........

Time seem to fly by because before the trainer knew it they were at the entrance of the cave, known as Oreburgh Gate. By the looks of it, the cave looks pretty dark inside.

"Hmm..... What now?" The trainer asked himself. Thinking of a way to get some sort of lighting or anything for them to go through the dark cave without going in blindly.

"Something wrong love?" Latios asked sweetly as he floated up to David with Lucario close behind.

"Yeah, something wrong sweetheart?" Lucario also asked the trainer, getting a quick glare from the blue Eon Pokemon.

"Just thinking of how we could go in with any sort of lighting or something." David replied. "Lucario, Latios...... you two have been quiet when I left you guys alone to talk. Did you work out some things?" The trainer suddenly asked the two Pokemon.

"Uhh......" They both said in union as they hesitate whether or not to tell the truth that they barely talked throughout the whole time or lie and hoping that things would go better along the way.

"Did you?" David cocked an eyebrow in suspicion.

"Uhh yeah...... yeah! We did!" Latios quickly replied as he floats over to the aura Pokemon and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. "See look we're best buddies now!" He said while having a nervous smile across his face.

"Yeah...... best...... buddies." Lucario manage to say through her teeth, ready to send out a punch at any moment to the blue Eon Pokemon for such a contact of how close they were again.

"Well...... as long as that you two are getting along that's great." David said with a halfhearted smile and then went up to them and hugged both of them. "I'm proud of you guys." The trainer whispers to them, getting a nod from both of them...... and the feeling of guilt. David then part ways from their little group hug and went ahead at the entrance of Oreburgh Gate again, figuring out on what to do with their current situation.

Once that David went back to the entrance of the cave and was out of ear shot, both Latios and Lucario shoved each other away from their 'hug' and dusted themselves off.

"Best buddies Latios?! Really?!" Lucario whisper loudly to Latios, not wanting their lover to hear.

"Well what do you want me to do about it?! Just tell him that we didn't talk and ignore each other the whole time?!" Latios said with the same tone as well as his temper was starting to rise. But Latios soon calmed down and breathed in and out before speaking again. "Look...... arguing about this is getting us nowhere. Why don't we just pretend that we're getting along...... for David's sake, okay?" Latios asked in a tone that's almost pleading. The blue Eon Pokemon looked at Lucario straight in the eye, hoping to get a good or a reasonable response.

"(sigh) Fine, but I'm not sure how long I could 'pretend' before we beat each other to a pulp." The aura Pokemon said with crossed arms, not sure if this 'pretend thing' would work well enough for not raising any suspicions from anyone, especially David. The aura Pokemon then walks towards where everyone else was at, seeing if she could help out, leaving Latios behind in his thoughts.

..........
(Latios' POV)

Oh, who am I kidding; I wasn't sure myself that pretending to get along with Lucario would last long. I knew very well that it will be short-lived. I wasn't really that good at 'talking'. I mean, I can talk to David and my friends, but talking to someone like Lucario? That's like talking to a mere stranger to me. I know I've talked to her in the past, but that was before I knew what she did to my David. I still can't live it down that not only Lucario basically RAPED him behind my back, but knowing that David confessed that he actually liked it? He might as well choose her over me and leave me in the trash to rot!

But...... I know he wouldn't do that. He's a too good of a person to do something that horrible. He would do anything to make everyone happy, especially Pokemon. That's one of the things I love about him. (And when making out, but that's a different story) ;)

So anyways, I still don't know how to solve this stupid situation. I mean c'mon, it's just one simple task. Talk to him and get to know him better so we can get along. But so far it hasn't been going very well as you can tell.

I need someone that is good at talking and 'getting-to-know-each-other' kind of thing. Someone who's really good at socializing, someone I can trust and who's willing to help me out no matter what.

I then thought about it for some time, but then it hit me. I remembered someone said that they would do anything to help me, and it's someone I can definitely trust. She also said that she supports my relationship with David. (Could you guess who it is? xD)

'I need Latias to help me out on this one......'

.........
Chapter End Notes:Oh my god, I'm finally done this chapie! WHOO!!!

Okay so that's Ch.21 for you. I'm so sorry for the ultimate-late update. I was very booked these past months (school) and with Christmas and everything. ^^;

But anyways what do you guys think? What would happen when David and his companions finally arrive at Oreburgh City? (Later on there's a guest that will arrive later on. A request from a friend of mine, cough-cough 'Masterface' cough-cough) (P.S. I'm not looking for any requests at the moment)

So anyways moving on, how is Latias going to help her older brother Latios? Would it do any good, or would it end in disaster. Would Latias even help her brother? Of course she is, right?

Find out next time in Ch.22 of 'David's Start of a New Adventure!'

David & Latios: Comment, rate, and review please!

Latias: And Happy Holidays! ^^
