Untold Tales of Travelers by testa

A Wonderful Time of Year

A squeal rang out around the area, a valley snug deep in the mountains that was currently covered in snow. The trees within it were adored with small lanterns upon their branches, also with several other different trinkets. The local pokemon always celebrated something around this time, which was why the trees were adorned with such things.

A raichu's head popped out of the snow, she had been the source of the squeal, as she plummeted into a large pile of snow. She glared at reason why she had ended up in the snow, a mightyena who was gulping. "Rika...all I did was yell to get your attention..."

"You caused me to slip Bane..." she launched at him, tackling the male to the ground. "Eat the snow!" She shoved some of the white powder into his face. "Taste good? I didn't think so."

A houndoom chuckled, shaking his head at the two. Next to the male was a female absol, and why it didn't really show, she was pregnant with his pups. Inferno had decided that while they headed to his and Rika's home so Sky could give birth to his pups in peace, they'd stop by this particular area, to celebrate something that Sky knew quite well.

"Thanks again Inferno...it's been so long I actually got to celebrate Christmas." The absol nuzzled him, licking his cheek.

A winged and tentacled mightyena approached them, a floatzel on his back, holding his neck lovingly. "So what exactly is Christmas? I never really heard about it from any of the humans I've been around."

"Yeah...just what is Christmas?" A typhlosion, with black upon grey fur, spoke out, nestled against his back was a tyranitar with black crack like markings. The typhlosion continued to speak, "Neither me or Tia have ever heard of this Christmas."

Sky giggled, "You've all been missing out...Christmas is a wonderful time of year. It's filled with snow and red and green. Candy canes, stockings, snowmen, carols, and best of all...Santa Claus!" She was practically jumping with excitement. She went on to tell of all the things that happened with Christmas, from the gift giving to singing Christmas carols, from decorating Christmas trees to the belief of good will towards your fellows.

The others all had gathered around her, listening intently to her stories, even the winged Death. Sky smiled big, "But the most important thing about Christmas is being with loved ones. And that's the best part about Christmas too...spending the whole day doing nothing but lounging with the mon you love." She giggled, remembering happy things from her previous life.

Sky remembered this holiday very fondly, it was the best time of year that she spent with her trainer. She had greatly enjoyed the fun and merriment that came every year at this time. She knew that there were other holidays that other people celebrated, but all of them were basically the same thing, enjoy your time with those around you. And the others were quite content to follow with that meaning of the holiday.

Rika let out a yelp, as a snowball collided with the back of her head. Death chuckled, "Wow Bane...good shot." Death's brother just blinked, looking around, before glaring at his winged sibling. Rika rolled up a snow ball of her own, and smacked Bane square in the face. "It wasn't me!"

Rika rolled up another, "I don't believe you!" she threw it, but Bane redirected the shot into Death. The tentacled mightyena murfed as he was struck by the ball of snow, quickly using his tentacles to make a snow ball and nailing Bane in the rear. Death was soon struck from behind though, his tail getting a smashing blow from a snow ball. Death quickly span around, glaring at his mate Ferra, who was giggling as her paws had another snow ball ready for launch. Death ducked under it, letting the ball hit Rika's face as he made one and nailed Ferra right in the tummy.

The floatzel eeped, smirking at her male, as the raichu unleashed a double attack of snow balls, one smashing into the back of Death's head, the other just missing Ferra. The typhlosion Blaze just rolled his eyes, shaking his head before a snowball smacked the side of his face, a laugh coming from Tia. The tyranitar grinned as he turned to her, a big snow held above her head. The typhlosion gulped, and ran for cover as she let the snow ball fly. The giant mass of snow landed with a crash, hitting Blaze, Bane, and Death. The three males grumbled, as the snow went flying. Bane managed to stay in the conflict thanks to his iron tail, since he lacked any means of making snow balls like the others, no bipedal walking meant no free paws and he didn't have tentacles like Death.

Inferno and Sky watched the chaos go, both of them laughing it up, before Sky nudged her mate, motioning to the tree branches that were loaded with snow. The houndoom snickered, nodding at her, the two unleashing weak attacks to knock the snow off and onto their friends. One by one heads popped out of the sudden snow storm that buried them, eyes turning onto the expecting parents. A hail of snow balls soon were launched at the two, who quickly ducked behind cover, unleashing their own snowy retribution. Sky's ice beam was really nice in the fight, as an iron tailed up bunch of snow combined with it made a massive wall of snow balls.

The fight had turned into mates against mates, snow flying left and right as the group battle for snowy supremacy. Bane unfortunately was getting hit the most, since Rika used him as a meat shield, the male not exactly overjoyed at the prospect. Death and Ferra had made a fort of snow, allowing them to not worry about using vertical trees for cover. Tia, despite her size, was able to dodge and avoid snow balls with ease. Sky was doing the best not to get hit though, even though she had become a major target thanks to her icebeam, her agile movements dodging and weaving through the flurry of snowy doom.

Laughter rang out from the group, as they all enjoyed the time together, despite the attempts to pelt one another with frozen water. Or in fact, because of attempts they were enjoying the time. But all good things come to an end, and as Sky's attention instantly snapped skyward, Inferno could tell that it was time for the fun to end. The absol turned to her mate, "A big storm's coming."

Inferno nodded, "Hey guys...Sky says a storm's coming...let's find shelter." The others nodded, grumbles coming from those who were having real fun with the winter war, namely Death and Rika. The group quickly went to find a cave so they could take shelter from the coming storm, and they had found one just in time. As they went into the cavern, the clouds darkened, and the wind picked up as the snow began to fall in more copious amounts. Blaze started a small fire in the middle of the widest part of the cave, which was thankfully pretty deep in and not near the entrance.

The warmth quickly spread into the small space, the glow casting a soothing spell over the gathered mon, and the blizzard outside raging unhindered. The couples curled up together, watching the flame dance in the center, the only sounds being the crackling and the howl of the wind. Then, Sky let out a chuckle, "This is nice...all of us here...snug together...this is what Christmas is about...being with family and friends."

Death scoffed, "Bah...being stuck in here is only because of a blizzard." He got an elbow to the side, Ferra smiling, "Okay...fine...yeah...this is kinda nice." He looked away, his floatzel nuzzling up to him, licking his cheek. The female grinned at her lover, feeling his tentacle wrap around her, holding her tight to his body.

Rika was practically buried into Bane's side, letting out a content sigh. The mightyena smiled at his raichu, licking the top of her head, which got him licked back. Bane chuckled, smiling even more as he felt her slowly crawl forward so that she was in front of him, her paws holding his cheeks. The two's lips met in a deep tender kiss, which lasted for several seconds, before Rika broke it, "Yeah...this is real nice."

Tia was blushing lightly, which mirrored Blaze, the tyrantiar's paws scratching his belly gently. The male murrled lightly from it, leaning into his love more, which made the female smile. Giggling, Tia kept scratching his belly, "This is great...I like Christmas." The male nodded in agreement, licking at her. Tia smiles at him, licking him back, still scratching his belly to get more happy murrs out of him.

Inferno had nudged Sky onto her back, and he quickly occupied himself with licking the absol's belly. Sky giggled, blushing from it, though the action wasn't new since the houndoom made a habit of it after learning she was pregnant. It did still embarrass her all the same, and Inferno loved doing all the more because of that fact. Eventually though, his licking stopped, his head going to hers to plant a kiss. The absol murrled, smiling big as she kissed back, her paws wrapping around his neck carefully. Inferno chuckled lightly, "Merry Christmas Sky."

She smiled, kissing his cheek, "Merry Christmas Inferno...I'll give you a great gift tonight." She gave a lustful murr. The same idea had come to the others, as the cave began to fill with sounds other than the crackling fire and the howling wind.
