1 Down, 2 to Go! The Pride of a Ninja!
"That's enough, Phoenix!" shouted a voice as vines shot forward and stopped the Combusken's leg in mid strike, sparring Lopunny the fate of having her head caved in by the enraged pokemon. Phoenix stopped his strike as the fire dissipated around his leg and he turned to see Mandragora slowly approaching the scene.
"She's already beyond hope of challenging us and the Cyndaquil isn't even capable of speaking let alone fighting. We won, I don't think they'll be challenging us anymore." said the Ivysaur with a grin. Phoenix just scoffed as his leg was released and began to walk away from the Lopunny.
"It's no fun when they can't even beg for their lives anyways..." he muttered. He was heading back to the area where Brimstone had been tied up too and planned to release the rest of his anger on the stake she was bound to.
"I'm going to let you off this time..." said Mandragora as he approached the quivering Lopunny with a frown of absolute seriousness to prove he was not going to take any jests to the subject, "but only because you are so weak that you don't even pose a threat to our goals. And if you ever interrupt us again during sex... I'll just let Phoenix kill you..." he said flatly as he turned and began to walk away with Swamp following closely behind him.
"H-h hold it..." muttered a weak cry, causing both Mandragora and Swamp to slowly turn to see Lopunny struggling to prop herself up on her knees. "You... c...called me weak...?" she stuttered, her entire body was shaking from the damage she had received, yet she was miraculously pushing on as she now managed to stand up.
"I am the leader of Team Charm...A Ruby Rank team... and I'm not... not going to be beaten by a bunch... of perverted punks like you!" She said. Mandragora's eyes squinted in fury at having his offer to let her go rejected and turned fully around to face her.
"Fine... I guess I'll have to show you why I'm the leader of this squad..." he said as he raised up onto his hind legs, causing Lopunny to look at him in surprise.
"Forbidden Killing Technique... Fissure" he said and then slammed his front legs onto the ground, causing a massive tremor to rip through the battlefield, speeding straight for the two injured Pokemon.
Lopunny gasped in horror as she recognized the technique. Horn Drill, Guillotine, Fissure, these are some of the names for pokemon techniques which were forbidden from being used because they were specifically designed for the purpose of killing the opponent rather than simply knocking them out. As the crack spread underneath Lopunny and the unconscious Brimstone, the field began to split open, creating a large chasm intend on drawing them down into the earth below!
Lopunny watched as she and Brimstone began tumbling down into the fissure and watched as the earth around them began to slowly close back up, ready to crush them in between the walls of earth and stone. Suddenly vines shot down into the crack and grabbed both of them, yanking them back out of the fissure just as it finished closing, saving them from the horrible fate!
"Made it just in time!" shouted a voice as Lopunny looked to the vines to see a Bayleef had rescued them, accompanied by a Croconaw and an Eevee.
"What the!?" shouted Mandragora in shock, "There is no way those kids could have found our evolution crystal!" he added, turning to Swamp whom even he had a look of confusion on his normally calm and calculated face. Aroma set Brimstone and the Lopunny down beside her feet gently as Derek stepped forward, clenching his claws in rage.
Back to Derek's point of view....
"You're isn't the only crystal in the world, you know!" I said as I looked at the serious injuries done to Brimstone. It was a marvel that such a young girl could survive the damage she was in. If we didn't get her some healing quickly, she'd soon be the newest ghost type to our team instead of a fire!
"I'm going to need to report this... Swamp, finish them off while I alert the boss that we missed one of them..." said Mandragora as he moved one of his vines to tap his badge and teleported away. Swamp nodded and stepped forward as he raised his arms into the air.
"Ninja Art.... Sand Storm!" he shouted as seemingly out of nowhere, a huge cloud of sand spewed forth from under him and whipped up into the air, shrouding the battlefield and blinding us. The sand whipped at our bodies like sandpaper and I felt flood pooling from my scales.
"What the heck, he's a ninja!?" I shouted, but my voice was practically drowned out over the rushing wind and sand, I could just faintly make out the image of Aroma standing next to me as she tried to shield Lopunny and Brimstone from the storm with her large body by standing over them.
I suddenly felt the ground beneath my feet give way as I was dragged down by the hands of Swamp himself. He gazed straight into my eyes and prepared to strike. Even my newfound strength was little help under this hole with the storm blowing around outside. Until I remembered what he had done to Brimstone, and I felt the red aura pulsate around my body.
"Rage!" I roared out as the technique activated, and my stored up anger fueled my body to it's limits, I punched the surprised Mashstomp off me and leapt out of the hole before staring straight back down into it, "Water Gun!" I shouted and exhaled a thin but concentrated stream of water from my jaws.
By now, Aurora had located me by the hole and came rushing to my aid just as Swamp burst forth from the ground. The sandstorm was dying down now and some level of visibility was returning. I watched as Aurora leapt right between the two of us and launched an attack of her own.
"Glare!" She shouted as her eyes flashed. Swamp gasped and then went stiff as a board, causing the storm to halt instantly as the sand just fell down around us. He had been caught full force and was totally unable to move from Aurora's attack! "Strike him, before it wears off!" she shouted to me and Aroma who were relieved to finally see again.
"This is for Brimstone!" shouted Aroma as I saw her swing her neck like a whip and unleash a flurry of leaves from the large one on her head "Razor Leaf!" she shouted. The blades of grass flew and struck their target dead on, he was sliced repeatedly, but nothing was severed or severely injured. At least not until I launched off my own attack.
"Bite!" I shouted while charging and leapt for Swamp, clenching his right arm in my jaws and clamping down with all my might. There was a sickening cracking sound as he let off a wail of agony and slumped to his knees, the paralyzation had worn off, but he was in too much pain to react.
"Wow... I think my bite just upgraded to crunch instead!" I said while releasing his arm, I could see that my newly upgraded jaws had snapped his arm at the joint, even with the powerful items and healing abilities of pokemon, it would take weeks before he could effectively use it again.
"Damn, damn, damn!!" he groaned while clutching his injured arm, tears streaming from the pain, "This isn't over..." he groaned as he shakily moved his working arm and performed some strange hand gesture with it. "Secret Ninja Art.... Explosion!" he shouted as his body began to glow brightly. "Death before dishonor!" he added as his body began to swell up along with the glowing.
My eyes went wide as I recognized the suicidal technique and grabbed Aurora as I tried to escape the blast radius. "Aroma, use our badges, quick!" I shouted as she nodded and grabbed Lopunny and Brimstone with her vines then proceeded to activate her badge. I managed to do so with mine just in time as I heard the massive boom and felt the rushing of super heated air brush my back, then I was safely back at the dungeon team association with Aroma and the others.
We quickly checked to make sure we all had our body parts in tact and then Aroma, Aurora, and me began to quickly rush Brimstone and Lopunny to the closest medical clinic.
Meanwhile...
"Intriguing...." said Lust as his tail smacked into the earth, causing a dent, "So it seems there is one crystal left in the world that Poke Whores doesn't own. I told that dumbass, Bondage to do a more thorough checking of the world map..." he added. Mandragora was kneeling in front of him... or at least kneeling as best a frog could do with a flower on it's back.
Suddenly, a flash of light appeared behind the Ivysaur and a frantic Phoenix burst onto the scene raising a ruckus and flailing his arms.
"Mandragora, those kids defeated Swamp!" He shouted, "no, scratch that. Swamp is dead!" he quickly added. Both Mandragora and even Lust himself looked at him in stunned awe.
"Bull shit!" shouted Mandragora as he yanked Phoenix to him with his vines and glared at him as if ready to kill his only surviving partner, "A bunch of kids could never kill Swamp, he was our tactician, he's smarter than them!" he roared hysterically, tears brimming at the sides of his eyes.
"I just heard a massive explosion and went back to check it out... apparently they injured him in such a level that he used his Explosion technique in an attempt to take them out. I didn't find any trace of the kids, but Swamp was..." said Phoenix trailing off at the end. Mandragora roared out and tossed Phoenix to the ground while storming off into the woods, leaving both Lust and Phoenix behind.
"I'm the one who left him there to die..." he growled once both Phoenix and Lust were out of eye sight. He then turned to look up into the sky with a look of absolute madness in his eyes both from anger and emotional instability, "Team Sea Forest Fire, I swear on Swamp's name that I will kill every last one of you!" he roared with such force that wild pokemon in the entire area rushed off in an attempt to escape the noise.
"Phoenix..." said Lust emotionlessly as he looked in the direction Mandragora had wandered off, "It is no secret to me that Swamp and Mandragora were having a relationship outside of just work... But I'm going to relocate your squad, I can't have Mandragora going on a killing spree, and you're not mature enough to control him." said Lust, causing Phoenix to flinch at the last part, but not dare speak out against his superior.
"You two will be assigned to guarding Mt. Steel, but before you go, I want you to use this... I think you'll need it after today..." Lust added while producing a box from beside his throne. The Combusken took it and looked inside with a gasp, it was a shard of an evolution crystal!
"Train with the fighting and steel types there... never once has any of our troops lost a single battle... Mandragora will have his vengeance... but I want to make absolutely sure that no more blemishes to our reputation happen in the future..." Lust explained as Phoenix nodded and followed after Mandragora to explain their new mission.
