Story Notes:
There are about 30 chapters so far and more to be posted if I get some good reviews to this story.
Chapter 19
Ch. 19
And with that the dream ended. I opened my eyes to see a young trainer shaking me.
"Hay mister...you ok?" I looked at the kid. He seemed to be a couple years younger than me.
"Ya kid. I was just having a conversation with my Gardevoir here." I motioned to Jenavee that was sitting next to me. She waved to the boy and he waved back. "Say kid, maybe you have heard the legend of the Pokemon that could control time or the other that could bend space?" The kid took a step back and his face turned to a scared look.
"Uh Uh Uh Uh I I I I don't know anything about a Pokemon like that. BY!" With that the kid ran off at full tilt, probably that same way he had come.
"Well that was quite odd." I nodded. I turned around and recalled Feebas to it's ball and picked up my pack.
"Well since we didn't get any good information from that kid. Hopefully we can in the next town." Jenavee nodded and we continued on our way to the next town side by side. Along the way we met up with several other trainers. But once we stopped battling them and asked them about the two legendary Pokemon, they took off just like that kid did. When we did this to the first one, he had escaped without paying for the defeat. I was starting to wonder if we would ever find anything about this legendary Pokemon. Finally after many hard battles and disappointments we stopped off at a new Pokemon center for the night. I check in Rena and Feebas to the nurse but Jenavee assured me that she was in fine condition and the only thing she needed was a nice hot bath and a good night sleep.
So the nurse gave me a room key and said she gave me a beeper. The beeper she said would go off when my Pokemon were ready to be picked up. I thanked the nurse and headed up stairs to the trainers rooms. I set down my pack and saw Jenavee head over to the bed and sit down.
"You continue to amaze me Jenavee. A whole day and you didn't loose a single battle." I walked over and sat down next to her on the bed. She leaned over and gave me a quick peck on the cheek.
"Well that is because I have such a great trainer and lover, who watches over me." She gave me another peck on the cheek. "Now I am going to take a bath in a while so I think that it would be a good idea that you go clean up your cloths." I sniffed my shirt sleeve and realized that I had been sweating pretty bad that day. Not to mention but I hadn't really gotten my other cloths cleaned in quite a while.
"Ya your right." I said with a small chuckle. "Well I'm going to head down to the laundry and wash up my cloths, then I will help you with that bath." We gave each other a quick kiss, then I ran down to the laundry and cleaned out my cloths. I was about to throw the rest of them into the drier when nurse Joy walked into the laundry room.
"Well hello there. Your that trainer that brought in that Feebas and Riolu right?" I nodded. "Well, their ready to be pick up." So I followed her out and she handed me back my two pokeballs and I returned to the laundry. 'Few, the timer on the laundry hadn't gone off yet.' Just then.
"DONOVIN GET UP HERE QUICK!" I thought the worst as I ran full tilt up the stairs to our room. I nearly kicked the door in, but when I entered the room I saw Jenavee looking at the TV. "Look here." She pointed at the TV. I sat down next to her. There were two men sitting down next to one another. They seemed to be arguing over something.
"And I say that, that Pokemon does exist. There have been numerous findings that describe these two Pokemon in almost perfect detail." The older man stated to the younger man. The elderly gentleman was dressed in an adventurers outfit, while the other in a business mans outfit.
"And I say that that is nothing more than an old mans tall tale. Everyone knows that people back in those days would make up just about anything to describe something they couldn't understand. Now Mew on the other hand, that is a different story. Just recently we have found scientific proof through a fossilized piece of hair that after much scientific analysis proved that Mew does or did exist." The two men argued back and forth for what seem like fifteen minutes. Finally the show goes to a commercial break.
I start to laugh. "If only they knew the truth." I fell onto my back laughing.
"The truth about what Donovin?" I place my hands on my sides because I was laughing so hard. I slowly stop my laughing and sat back up. I look over to Jenavee who has a curious look on her face.
"The truth is that Mew does exist and I know where or at least the place where you can find Mew." Jenavee's eyes went wide.
"You mean to tell me that you know where Mew is?" I nod to her. "Do you also know where the other legends are?" I nodded to that as well.
"The only problem is that they can't really help us and they don't stay in one place for very long. The only one that can help us is the one with those pearls on it's shoulders. Did you by chance see what that mans name was?" She shook her head.
"I was just sitting here, minding my own business, when I sat down on that thing and this box turned on. Let me tell you... Oh look it it back on." We sat there and watched the TV for quite a while until they closed out their arguments. Then the young man thanked the older man for sharing his findings.
"Come on give us a name, or at least something."
"Well thank you doctor for visiting us today. So where are you off to next?"
"Well I'm off to Mt. Cornet to do some research on this mysterious Pokemon. I hope spending some time up there will reveal some clues to my research. And prove that my finding in the past are sound."
"Well thank you doctor, and may you have good hunting, or digging as the case may be. Next week on Pokemon fact or fiction......" The TV turned off. I looked over and saw Jenavee had leaned on the remote again.
"Ops. Sorry Donovin."
"That's alright Jenavee. We now know where we need to start our search."
"You mean we have a destination now?" I nodded.
"The only problem is that we are going to need a lot of help getting through Mt. Cornet. So starting tomorrow, I'm going to try and get Feebas to evolve into a Milotic. And if I can I would like to help Rena get over her fears of battling so that she can help us too." So with that I gave Jenavee a quick hug and went back down stairs to pick up my laundry. While I was down there I began to plan ahead as to what moves and what types of attacks would help us along the way in Mt. Cornet.
Once my laundry was done I headed back up stairs to help Jenavee with her bath.
