There are about 30 chapters so far and more to be posted if I get some good reviews to this story.
Chapter 20
Journey to Another World 2
Ch. 1
The next day I got up early and went down stairs to grab some breakfast. While down there I started to think on how I was going to get a Feebas to evolve into a Milotic and how to get Rena over her fear of battling. So I pulled out my Pokedex and started doing my homework while I munched on a piece of buttered toast.
It turned out that to evolve a Feebas into a Milotic you had to feed it plenty of berries and give it something to improve it's beauty. Once it's beauty was high enough then Feebas would evolve into a Milotic. The only problem was I couldn't feed a Feebas the berries it needed to improve it's beauty. It said that I needed to have it eat Poffins. 'Now where in the world do I get or make these Poffins?'
In the case of evolving a Riolu into a Lucario, it was quite easy. All a trainer had to do was get your Pokemon to really like you, then it would evolve on it's own. But that still didn't help with Rena's fear of battling. That part was probably going to take some time and careful thinking. So I decided that the first step was to find out where I could find the right berries to make into Poffins, (However that's done). I looked around and didn't see anybody around this early so I loaded up a tray of breakfast foods and took them up to our room.
I looked into the room to see that Jenavee was still sleeping. So as quietly as I could I walked into the room and set the tray down on the nightstand next to Jenavee. I sat down on her side and leaned over and kissed her. A smile crept slowly across her face, then she opened her eyes with a dreamy smile.
"Well good morning to you to Donovin."
"And a good morning to you to Jenavee. Sleep well?" She smiled, closed her eyes, and stretched.
"I did, thank you for asking. So what is the plan for today?" She slowly sat up in the bed.
"Well first is breakfast in bead for you. Then I plan on finding out where I can get or make some Poffins, to help our little Feebas evolve into a Milotic. Finally if there is time left in the day, try and help Rena overcome her fears of battling."
Jenavee nodded and we had a nice breakfast between the two of us. Once we were done feeding each other, I let Rena and Feebas out of their balls and gave them something as well. Once all our stomachs were full I recalled Feebas and picked Rena up and set her down on the bed.
"Ok, I need to ask you both something." Rena and Jenavee looked at each other for a moment then I could see Rena give Jenavee a hard look, then turn back to me. Well if nothing else I could see that Rena didn't much care for Jenavee. "I need to know if either of you know anything about Poffins?" This got a curious look out of Jenavee, but Rena nodded to me. "Do you know something Rena?" A sneaky smile crept across her muzzle. She looked up at Jenavee and waited for a moment for something.
"Well it would seem that I know something that miss high and mighty does not know. Boy am I going to have fun with this." She turned back to me and gave a little happy bark.
What I heard probably was her thoughts and she seemed to be content with just having Jenavee translate. With that she started to talk with Jenavee for some length. Jenavee listened and I could see her facial expression change half way through the conversation from thinking, to calm, to upset, then finally to anger.
"Why you. Who do you think you are talking to me like that?" I saw Jenavee start to pull back her hand and I knew what was about to happen. She was about to slap Rena. So reaching out I caught her arm before she could attempt to slap her.
"I don't know what you were about to do Jenavee, but I don't want to see a fight start." I released her hand and she took a long sigh and relaxed with a nod. "And Rena." She looked up at me with wide eyes. "I don't want you to start any fights. Is that understood?" Rena nodded. She looked up at Jenavee and I could see that same smirk cross her muzzle.
"Well I am glad that I finally got something over miss all mighty, now I might have a chance to get to know my master a little more, and possibly thank him for saving me."
"So Jenavee, what did Rena say?" Jenavee looked down at her and Rena looked back up at her. Rena gave her a big smile and Jenavee sort of surprised me when she gave her a harsh look. Without turning to talk to me she said.
"Before she was so rude, she said that she heard from her captor." I gave her a confused look.
"Her captor?"
"The trainer that you rescued her from." I nodded. "She said that he was going to a place called Hearthome City." She paused for a moment to look hard at Rena as Rena started talking to her again. "She also says that he did not have the proper berries to make the Poffins that he needed. And that is all she knows." So I thought for a moment, then it started to fall into place. I needed to get to this Hearthome City where you could probably make these Poffins, and I needed a certain type of berry to give Feebas.
Step one would be to find the proper berries to get Feebas to evolve. Step two was to get to the city, Rena mentioned. Step three would be find where I could make these Poffins. And finally step four would be to feed the Poffins to Feebas and see the result.
"Well I guess that answers where we are off to next." Both Jenavee and Rena nodded as I got up. "So first thing we need to do is find out where this city is, then how long it will take us to get there." They both nodded to me. I remembered that there was a map down in the lobby of the center, so we packed up everything and the three of us walked down stairs together. Jenavee walking on my right, and Rena bouncing on my left.
Once down stairs I noticed that the center was getting a little more full and I looked around for the map that I had seen the previous day. I eventually saw it on the far wall and we started making our way towards it. Along the way I accidentally bumped into another person wearing a large brown trench coat. The person turned and he stood a good foot shorter than me.
"Sorry about that." I said to the person.
"Not as sorry as your going to be bub." He pulled back his fist and was about to throw a punch when someone caught his arm. And whispered.
"Not here, and not now." I looked over and I could see the other person was dressed in the same trench coat and I could have sworn that under one of the sleeves, he was wearing one of those latex skin tight getups. It even looked silver to me. I shrugged the thought off and looked at the other person and I could see the sleeve of his coat had been pulled back, revealing the same silver sleeved latex getup.
"So what are you guys, some sort of gang or organization." The man holding the others arms eyes went wide.
"Shit we've been found out. RUN!" He said to the other man. The two men took off at a dead run for the doors.
"Well that was certainly strange." Then a thought hit me. I remembered seeing on the back of the box to the game that there was an evil organization of some kind in this game. So I thought for a moment to try and recall what the name of the group was, but I couldn't remember. It would probably come back to me when I least expected it. I never really read the instructions on new games. So I walked over to the map and looked at it. It said that we were in Jubilife City, and a long way off from Hearthome City. It also showed that there were two ways of getting there.
The first was to the North, it was a round about way but easier. It would take me through Floaroma Town, then through Eterna Forest, next down through route 206, finally across route 207 and 208. The second was East, it was harder but quicker. First it would take me through route 203, then through Oreburgh City, then up to route 206, next through 207 and 208.
I thought for a moment and thought it would be better to take the long rout since we still needed to collect the proper berries for Feebas and get Rena over her fear of battling.
