Chapter 13

Absol tells all

Ash, Brock and Dawn just stood there. Ash however was taking the news a bit hard. 'Marina was kidnapped by Sektor Sieben. I promised I would protect her from them, but I failed. Now I may not see her again.' Ash thought. "Ash, are you okay?" Dawn asked. "Yeah. I just need some time by myself." Ash replied. He walked off as the news had him very worried. Absol, who was strong enough just to walk, followed him. When he was sure he was far away enough from his friends, Ash broke down and cried. "I can't believe Marina was kidnapped by Sektor Sieben." Ash said to himself. "Don't worry. We will get her back." a deep voice said. Ash looked around and only saw Absol standing there.

"Are you talking, Absol?" Ash asked. "Well no one else is here besides you and me, so yes." Absol said as he sat next to Ash. They both sat in silence for a time. Absol said "I am sure we can get Marina back from them." Ash said "Yeah. But why do you want to help?" "Well it is my duty to protect you and your mate." Absol said. Ash's face went red with embarrassment before he said "But I and Marina aren't mates." Absol laughed and said "Of course you are. Trust me. It's not hard for me to tell you two have mated. Besides, what is wrong with Marina being your mate?" "Well, it's very unusual for a human to fall in love with a Pokémon, right?" Ash said. "Unusual yes, but not unheard of." Absol replied. Ash looked at Absol and said "Are you sure that it's not unheard of?" Absol laughed and said "Of course. There is a myth about it from this region."

This sparked Ash's interest and he asked "Really? Can you tell me?" Absol seemed to think before he said "Okay, here it is. There once were Pokémon that became very close to humans. There once were humans and Pokémon that ate together at the same table. It was a time when there existed no differences to distinguish the two." Ash looked in shock at Absol and said "If that's true, then what happened? Why are humans and Pokémon no longer like that?" "I can't remember. We Absol talk about myths and legends so we won't forget. However, while I don't know it fully, I can remember some parts of the myth." Absol replied. "Can you tell me them?" Ash asked. "I will try. You know how some humans and Pokémon can see into the future? Well there was a group that could see into other universes. In one there was a mighty battle. Humans and Pokémon fighting side by side against an army of men that were made of metal. The metal men were led into battle by creatures that looked like the Legendaries only they were made of metal as well. Their leader was a ruthless fighter. He battled against several of the strongest warriors of that universe. One was a humanoid Salamence that was female." Absol stopped as he tried to remember the other parts.

Ash was deep in thought. In his mind he brought up that dream he had a while back and remembered a female humanoid Salamence. "The other warriors included a Latios, a Latias, a Sneasel that used these strange orbs of dark purple energy, a Bayleef that was covered in armor, a Mewtwo, a figure in silver armor that used the same strange purple energy as the Sneasel and a 13 year old that looked like a human boy. But he could use the attacks of Pokémon." Absol said. "But what does this have to do with why Pokémon and Humans aren't like what they were?" Ash asked. "Well, during the fight great waves of energy left that universe and into others, causing various effects. The energy 'ripples' as you might call them changed just a little bit of the other universe. For ours it is the reason why humans and Pokémon aren't like that anymore. And in another it only affected a female Lucario causing her to grow up slightly deformed. The energy ripples changed her only to have her not have the three spikes a Lucario would normally have." Absol said as he stopped again.

Ash's mind went yet again to the dream and he remembered the slightly deformed Lucario. "I can tell you the rest later. Right now we must find a way to save Marina." Absol said. Nodding, Ash said "But how are we going to do that?" "I am not too sure. But I suggest we find and attack Sektor Sieben's Headquarters." Absol said. "We'll discuss this with the others." Ash agreed.

Ash and Absol walked back to the camp to see several grunts from Team Magma and Team Aqua awake. He walked up to Tabitha and said "Do you think you can ask Maxie for some help?" "I might. But what do you mean by help?" Tabitha asked as he faced Ash. "Marina and Dawn's Buizel have been kidnapped by agents of Sektor Sieben. And as for the help I have in mind, I plan on finding Trainers, soldiers and members of Team Magma and Team Aqua. I plan on having them to help us find and attack them at their HQ." Ash said. "But even with all of them we might not find their HQ." Tabitha frowned. "No, but I have some friends that may want to help out" Ash said. "We may be able to do it if we have enough strength." Tabitha said. "Well, I have a feeling that the HQ may be underwater." Ash said. "Okay. Everyone pack up! We're moving to the nearest city!" Tabitha shouted. "It's time we bring the fight to them." Ash said to Tabitha, who simply nodded.

Several hours later. Ash watched as Team Aqua and Team Magma members went around the city looking for Trainers and soldiers that would want to help. Brock came up to his side and said "I've contacted several Gym Leaders. All of them are gathering Trainers and soldiers and most will join us when we begin the attack. Others will arrive later." "Thanks Brock. Now if you excuse me, I have a few friends to talk to." Ash said.

Ash hiked a while out of the city. Facing the ocean, he waited and saw the surface ripple as Lugia and Kyogre appeared just above the surface. "Luiga, I need your help." Ash said. "Let me guess. You want several Legendaries to help you in the attack on Sektor Sieben's HQ. To help save your mate." Lugia said. "Yeah, and to help rid the world from them." Ash nodded. "Well I know of some Legendaries that will help you in the attack. I can contact them." Lugia said. After a moment of silence, Lugia spoke up again and said "Several of them will help. An old friend of yours is with them. They should appear right now." Lugia grinned. Ash turned and saw Mewtwo and Mew appear. "It's good to see you, Mewtwo." Ash said. "And you." Mewtwo replied, flashing a very rare smile. "So only four to help?" Ash asked. "We are the only ones that will help. The others can't help as it will be difficult for them to come underwater." Lugia said. "Okay. Listen, can you search the waters for their HQ?" Ash asked. Lugia, Mew and Kyogre nodded before diving into the water. "What about you, Mewtwo?" Ash asked. "I will help you in the attack. But I must say this, your mate must be pretty important to you if you are going on this attack personally." Mewtwo said. "She is important to me." Ash replied. "Might I ask what species is she?" Mewtwo asked. "Her name is Marina and she's a Buizel." Ash explained. "We might as well go back to your friends. Mew will tell me if any of them have found the HQ." Mewtwo said.

When they entered the city, Ash and Mewtwo saw a large group of soldiers and Trainers. Ash recognized some of the Trainers in the crowd. Ash also saw Maxie and Archie talking to several Team Magma and Team Aqua members. Mewtwo said "A lot of them have turned up to aid in the attack." "Yeah. I just hope we've got enough submarines to get there." Ash said. "I think you do. Besides, with the forces you have, you should have no problem in the attack. " Mewtwo said. "I agree." Ash said. "Mew has just contacted me. They have found their HQ." Mewtwo said. "Where is it?" Ash asked. "Several miles away from here." Mewtwo replied. Ash ran down to the large group. "The HQ of Sektor Sieben has been located. It's underwater several miles away!" Ash shouted. Everyone stopped and looked at Ash. "I think we should begin the attack on Sektor Sieben's HQ at once." Ash said as everyone began to board the submarines. The attack was about to begin.
