The Contract
*BEEP, BEEP, BEEP, BEEP* *groan* "Just five more MINUTES!!" I'd screamed while slamming on the alarm clock and crawling back into by bed only to have another annoyance pop up. "Hey Mike lets go it time to go get that contract signed."
I responded with an annoyed tone "Look Richard, man I'm pissed off because I couldn't find any important information on my damn team last night other than the fact that they have two managers." I said while pointing to the computer. Rich looked at the computer and only laughed.
"What's so funny man?" I said in an annoyed tone while going back under the sheets.
"Dude you do know that you were searching on that 'Poképedia' website right?" He said with a smirk.
"WHAT?!?!" I said while jumping out of the bed to look at the computer only to see that he was right. "Ah SHIT no wonder I couldn't find information on my team!!" I said in an enraged tone.
"Dude didn't you're teacher ever tell you to not use that website because people can change the information at any time man?" Said Richard who was about to break out laughing.
I only replied while shaking my head. "Man I don't even know how I even pick this website."
"Don't worry about it remember you can get your answers when we get to the train station and go to Goldenrod alright?"
*sigh* "Alright."
"Good now get dressed man we need to get to the train station in an hour and being in your trunks ain't gonna help" said Richard as he left out the door. As I went to the shower I started to remember my time with my best friend. (Richard was my close friend since my freshman year in high school. We helped each other out of most situations whether it was homework to girls we had each other back through the toughest of events. When he graduated from college he became a sports agent and of course he became my agent after I graduated a year later and went to the draft).
After washing up I decided to wear a pair of blue denim jeans and a red t-shirt with a football on it with the saying "gotta catch em all" above the ball. I met up with my family at the dining hall to have some breakfast with them and to say my goodbye's to them before me and Richard left for the train station.
While walking past the bright and vivid city I saw trainers and pokémon alike getting pumped up to try to win against the Elite Four this year. As I looked up in the summer sky I noticed a rainbow-colored bird fly by the Pokémon stadium leaving me in awe as I had just seen the legendary bird Ho-oh. I immediately signaled Richard as I pointed up to the marvelous bird. "Dude look a Ho-oh a damn Ho-oh!!" I screamed out of excitement. He only look up with his mouth agape in pure amazement as he was speechless.
Of course we weren't the only ones awestruck as at least 20 trainers with pokéballs in their hands and their Pokémon by their side all try their chance to catch the majestic pokémon. After 30 minutes of a one-sided ass kicking the Ho-oh was still flying untouched while all the trainers who attempted to catch it were all crying or swearing because of missing their chance at catching a legendary pokémon. Meanwhile me and Richard decided to take a seat at one of the nearby café looking at the beat down it front of us as we got a drink. "Well that's was one hell of a show don't you think?" I said while drinking a glass of orange juice.
He started laughing as he only nodded while taking a sip of coffee as the event started to die down. As we started to continue to the station I looked back at Ho-oh and gave it a wave goodbye. It gave a smirk and started to fly off as I caught up to Richard.
"You know they say that seeing a Ho-oh is supposed to bring good luck right?" Said the agent in a cheery tone.
I replied with a nod and a smile as the rainbow pokemon flew out of sight. It only took five minutes as we made it to the train station. The purple walls and golden décor gave off a 'rich' feeling to it as I saw portraits of each region's Elite Four with their most trusted Pokémon. As we were walking to the ticket stand we were still talking about the brawl we just saw. "I still can't believe Ho-oh took out 10 pokémon with just one Flamethrower attack." I said still shocked at the power of that pokémon.
Richard replied in a disappointed tone. "I still can't believe that it took out 120 pokémon in just 30 minutes *sigh* looks like I owe you 20 bucks man."
*laugh* "Nah but you are paying for lunch when we get to Goldenrod." I said in a happy tone.
When we reached the ticket stand we were greeted by the Gardevoir from yesterday and a Lucario was next to her. I was able to tell that it was the managers of the Amazons. As I got closer to I was able to see her and her companion easier. The Gardevoir was 5'10" instead of the normal green hair she had a blue curved hair. Also her figure was more of a human's than a Gardevoir's. The only difference was the red horns that stuck out of her back and chest, but it's hard to see the front horn since a pair of D cup breasts had sandwiched the front horn.
Meanwhile the Lucario was 6'1" and almost the same figure as the Gardevoir but what set it apart from most normal Lucario was that the front chest spike was missing from it chest (although most people wouldn't notice it because of the DD cup breasts in their face). Where there was normally yellow fur was replaced by sliver fur. Also instead of ruby-colored eyes they were an emerald-colored.
I stared in awe at the two beauties in front of me for a good 30 seconds before Richard was able to snap me out of it. The two ladies both giggled before the Gardevoir spoke up. "Mr. Savior good afternoon it is good to see you again." She said while extending her hand for a hand shake. I responded by shaking her hand which felt smooth and soft to touch.
"It's nice to see you too Miss..." It was then that I didn't even know her name. She only smiled as she saw my puzzled state.
"Star.' 'Miss Evelyn Star." Said the Gardevoir with a reassuring smile. "My friend here is Miss Eva Rush" the Lucario only smiled and nodded to both me and Richard. "And who are you kind sir" Evelyn said pointing the question to Richard.
He cleared his throat before replying in a determined voice. "My name is Richard Scott.' 'I'm Mike's agent and it is a pleasure to meet you."
"Likewise.' 'Ok Mr. Savior it's time to talk about your contract." Said the excited Gardevoir.
"Ok but first I want to ask a few questions about the Amazons." The excited look on her face turned to a serious expression as she looked towards her partner who only gave a slight nod.
"Alright but first it would be best if we go to our train first ok." Evelyn then gave a reassuring smile to go with her cheery, excited tone again. As the two ladies started to walk in front of us I whispered in Rich's ear a little nervous. "Rich did you see the way they looked when I asked them for questions?" He only nodded and reply in a whisper "Yeah it might be best to be careful with your questions man." I nodded back as we reached the train.
The train was different from the other ones around it because instead of having multiple passenger cars it only had one other than that it was your simple white magnetic train with dark-stained windows. The inside of the train was a different story though as the floor was lined with red carpet while the walls were white with red flower décor on the background. In the center of the train were four recliner chairs and a table all of which were bolted down to the soft carpet.
Evelyn and Eva took a seat in front of us then I and Richard joined them. As soon as we joined them the doors closed and the train left the station. On an intercom the conductor of the train spoke up.
"ETA to Goldenrod City 45 minutes."
When the voice ended on the speaker Evelyn handed me my contract. After looking though it for 20 minutes Rich had found no loopholes of anykind in the contract (knew I could trust him). He showed me how much I would make and I was impressed at the amount: $30 million for a 4 year contract. I smiled and happily signed the contract. When I did both Evelyn and Eva both smiled and said "Welcome to the team" simultaneously.
After the whole short celebration I cleared my throat and asked "Now about those questions."
Eva decided to talk for them as she spoke up. "What would you need to know Mr. Savior?"
"First of all just call me Mike I never liked formalities." I said in a serious and determined tone. "Second of all why out of all people and pokémon in the draft why pick me; and to an all-female team?"
She replied "First of all we needed an improvement at our Tight End position and your stats from college made you a high candidate for our team" I nodded in agreement (I guess breaking the record for most receiving yards and touchdowns by a tight end with 2,974 yards and 32 touchdowns would do that to anyone). "Also you had a talent for cooperating with everyone on the team and keeping everyone in positive spirit as the team captain. We saw all these credentials and it was a unanimous decision we needed you."
I felt a little better after having that question answered but I still had one more question to ask. "Why are there 2 managers for this team when most of the other teams have only one?" Once again she replied "The last manager was our friend and master; we helped her with everything dealing with the team for the last 15 years. When she passed away she left us in charge of the team in her will. We've been the co-managers for the team for the last 4 years now."
After hearing my questions answered I let out a sigh of relief. "Any other questions Mike?" I shook my head as she asked it. The next 5 minutes of the train ride was silent as nobody had anything to say until the conductor was on the speaker again. "We've arrived at Goldenrod City." As we neared the door the screams of fans cheering can be heard from inside the train. As Evelyn put her hand on the doorknob she looked back at me and said "Welcome to the Amazons Mike" before opening the door.Chapter End Notes:One again reviews and comments would be nice in helping me improve this story people but it will be awile before I update it because of Halo Reach but I'll make sure to come back to this story
