Conveniences of the Heart

“Why is it like this?!” A pink form shouted to the empty hall that was known as the Hall of Origin. This Pokémon was the Pokémon of dreams, Cresselia. She floated through the empty hall. “Why did he leave?” She asked to the empty space around her as she was proceeding to the meeting room where Arceus, the god… or Goddess of all Pokémon, had summoned a meeting for the handful of legendary Pokémon. Cresselia was angry enough that Ash Ketchum, the boy she wanted in her life went and left as Arceus allowed that to happen. As soon as she reached the door she used her psychic power to open and close the door.

Inside was the assortment of legendary Pokémon, a few rare ones, and new comers to the Hall. Presiding as the main leader is the God of all Pokémon, Arceus, looking down at everyone that was present. With a calm but authority demanding voice, Arceus spoke. “Everyone may I have your attention please?” She started as everyone quiet down to hear the Goddess. “I have called you all here for a certain issue we must discuss.” She stated, looking at the gathered group. Murmurs started to arise as the legendaries spoke hush as to what that issue is.

“Is it the recent actions of the humans?”

“Are we making final Judgment?”

“I hope it’s not another one of those disaster plans again.”

“Is it us?”

“You’d think she decided on a mate already.”

“Another meeting…”

Ideas, suggestions, rumors and even gossip spread as they wonder as to what this meeting is about.

Through this long pause Arceus started to think on how to move this small council. (Is it wise for me to tell them of my love over a mortal?) She wondered. (They might not agree. It may as well be risky for me to admit it.) Making up her mind to the events that had happened within the halls, much to the ladies efforts on getting Ash to be their mate was not to leak out.

“I will be leaving the council for a while.” The legend of all Pokémon, the God of all Pokémon was leaving the council. The shock that had appeared on the faces of those present was genuine.

Far into the Sinnoh Region, after several days of waiting, Ash’s friends saw him appear out from nowhere in front of the Pokémon Center they were staying at. They did not question how or why that happened but they knew it was as always just Ash’s luck.

Weeks passed and Ash Ketchum, the boy who had such a unique adventure, continues on in his journey. Successfully getting all eight badges and preparing to face the Pokémon league of Sinnoh. Ash and co. move towards the road to adventure once more. But as fate would have it, literally, he and his friends will meet an unlikely band of girls just waiting to make their move.

*insert theme track for season here* “A Whole Lot of What?” *end theme track here*

Ash and company have been traveling through the forest as they set of for the Pokémon league but sadly,

“What do YOU mean WE’RE LOST?!” shouted the only female of the group, Dawn.

“I was sure this was the way or this map was made last year.” The worried Brock said to the mad girl.

“Calm down guys we have until next week before we have a problem.” Ash, as usual not worried these last few days which keeps his friends wondering, how did that happen?

“Let’s set camp here.” Ash suggested, as he set his backpack down, and Pikachu leaving his best friend’s shoulder. Setting his camp, Ash still wondered about the events that have transpired when he was at the Hall of Origins. (It’s been days now. Leaving the girls was one thing. I hope I didn’t break their hearts that much.) Ash thought as he stuck the pin to the ground marking the boundaries of his tent. His friends follow suit and started to make camp.

Back in the Hall of Origins, Arceus looks out the large windows of her abode, looking at the beautiful blue sky remembering the exact same thing as Ash. (He needed to leave, not to break our hearts or to say goodbye forever. He left because he does have a lot in his plate.) She thought looking to a mirror nearby that created itself from nothing.

She looked at the mirror, eying herself, her form, even her own face. The white, gray and yellow were looking right back at her. (It has been so long since I have placed much faith in a human, or the first time I did such a thing. Ash, you are one unique child, one that can change the way humans and Pokémon will ever collide.) She looked deep to herself, her eyes sparkle with want, need and even the hint of lust, though knew that needs to wait for a while. (His journey is far from over; wishing to be a Pokémon Master was one large gamble human. But then, that same wish did and will cause so many changes in the world.)

A knock came from the door, surprising Arceus a little. “Who is it?” She asked softly to the knocker.

“It’s Giratina, Arceus, can I come in?” Giratina asked through the door, her voice muffled by the door between the two.

“You may enter Giratina, no one is an enemy here”.

The large, white doors swung open and closed as the form entered. A dragon of almost equal size to Arceus stood firm on her 6 legs in front of her. Giratina, The Pokémon of the reverse world, looked at Arceus, with worry. “Arceus, why did you-?” “I left the council for the very reason that we all crave.” Arceus interrupted her. “You mean, you want to be with him that badly?” Giratina asked shockingly as Arceus said such a thing with a straight face.

“I know it maybe against the laws we all have decided upon. The others will soon learn of me and my intentions, but one thing I am certain of.” Arceus spoke with determination as she was prepared to break a fundamental law with the whole council’s awareness.

“Ash Ketchum is that one human which will change everything. Everything about the relationship of Human, and Pokémon, the People and their beliefs, even how we all will live, Ash will change everything once he reaches that one dream he is working so hard to achieve, to be a Pokémon Master.” Arceus was certain and well determined about this.

“And I will never miss it for the world.” She added, shocking Giratina with the whole “will never miss it” part.

“Arceus, have you lost your mind somewhere? You stepped down from the council until further notice, you made a giant gap in the council itself to make a large enough problem here for the others to get suspicious and you think that going with the man of our dreams is the best course of action?!” Giratina asked in bewilderment about Arceus’ plan of action. “Yes, I am planning on going to do such a thing that crazy.” Arceus responded with pride. “What will you do about it?” She asked the younger but equally powerful Giratina for an answer.

A second of pause for the two enormous Pokémon ensured, waiting for Giratina’s response. When Giratina did respond, it was something entirely unexpected. “TAKE ME WITH YOU!” Giratina pleaded. She was down on the ground, her front two legs curled at Arceus’ fron legs as she looked up to Arceus with pleading eyes. Arceus was clearly not expecting this type of response but then, they both have the same reasons for loving such a human. “Don’t worry Giratina, you and the other girls are like sisters to me. You can come with me.” Arceus comforted Giratina’s pleas.

Giratina smiled at Arceus as if it was a second chance at life. “But then the council will notice two largely important Legendary Pokémon missing.” Arceus said, worrying Giratina for a moment. “So we have to get ready.” Arceus smiled at her equal as she stood up, helping Giratina back on her feet. “Can we let the others join?” Giratina asked the Goddess of all Pokémon.

“Giratina, we both are from the two sides of this world’s coin, if one of us is gone, we leave the other to vanish quickly. If both of us are present or not we leave the world stable. The others have also their own duty, though I know some are just Special Pokémon, they too still have a role to play. We can’t drag them into this whether they want to or not.” Arceus responded worried about how the world will come to pass. Giratina on the other hand was tapping her front legs together for a while, few trickles of sweat rain down on her face.

Noticing this, “What’s the problem Giratina?” Arceus wondered. “About the other joining, I, um… how can I say this…?” Giratina was nervously tapping her front legs some more. Before Arceus could ask further, the door bursted open and a few yelps of pain, discomfort and piling up bodies of Pokémon females entered the room unannounced. This small event shocked Arceus to stare at the mass of females that have seemed to be leaning on her door.

“They were with me” Giratina explained as the girls fixed themselves up. Ho-oh, Cresselia, Latias, Shaymin and Mew stood and stared with worried about how Arceus would react. Arceus was stunned and had no such words to say. (This is something that would never work…)

Unknown to them, two dragon like form stood at the end of the hallway seeing the small mass of legendaries enter Arceus’ room. These two were none other than 2 of 3 dragon legendaries of Isshu, Reshiram, the White Yang Pokémon and Zekrom, the Black Yin Pokémon. “Do you think their intentions are good?” Zekrom asked Reshiram about the “good” they might be doing. “Their hearts are in the right place but then you should know the bad things they think about him.” responded Reshiram to Zekrom. “What I’m interested is in the boy, Ash Ketchum. You know, the boy that made such an impression on us” Zerkrom started to rub part of her leg together, close to the torso. “I remember. It’s no wonder they fell for him.” Reshiram copied Zekrom’s action.

“Ash is such a young boy.” Zekrom started. “He has seen the good and the bad.” Reshiram continued. “But in all, Ash is The Chosen One. The only one who will break all limitations.” They both said in unified state. “But then, we cannot just join our fellow legends.” Reshiram stated. “What we can only do is follow them.” Zekrom responded. Both legends, though different, are at an agreement.

Faced with a disadvantage, Arceus does not know how to pull this off. In her room, in front of her, stood the few assorted rare Pokémon, a few of which are legendary like her. They plan on leaving, to follow their hearts. “Girls, can you please understand, we are all in a difficult situation here. All of us have our own roles to play in keeping the world as is.” Arceus started to explain. “Even if one of us does somehow leave, we cannot ensure that the world’s safety is in order.”

“I have recently been a problem to the world, when I plan to destroy the world, or when that should have happened. Just one small mistake and we can all plunge this world, our home, into oblivion.” Arceus pulled all she can think of to stop her fellow legendaries from leaving their place and roles. Unfortunately, even she herself could not deny her heart of the feelings it embedded itself.

“I’m sorry Arceus,” Cresselia started, “But we just can’t let this opportunity slip by us. Ask yourself this, when was the last time you have felt a bond to something, that you don’t want to ever let go? That you know will always be smiling back at you even when you are weak and down?” Arceus was struck by how deep Cresselia felt with all of this. “I suppose my Plates would suffice as an answer.” Arceus said with theoretic ideas.

“But then they are plates that define you as THE God of all Pokémon, not as an individual who want to be an equal to something.” Shaymin continued, surprising majority of them to Shaymin’s courage in defiance to her docile nature in land form.

Latias soon flown at the face of Arceus and spoke her piece. “Look at Giratina.” She said, her voice that of begging. “She is acting differently every day.” Latias’ worrying tone arose. True to the fact, not many knew of Giratina’s pregnancy and Arceus knew that a father figure, if not a male should exist in a family.

With all of the girls, vouching to go for Ash, Arceus was overwhelmed by the emotional output of the girls. In this way, she too was swayed. In a long pause of Arceus’ response, all the girls were silent and excited, anticipating the final call of Arceus to their group.

Raising her head high, and tears streaming down her face, Arceus looks at the legends before her. “Then we must leave all at once.” She answered to her companions, earning a heartfelt cheer that they would soon leave until Giratina asked. “Who will be incharge while we are gone?” “Don’t worry Giratina, I have a pair of legends great for the job.” Arceus grinned slightly.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY’RE GONE!?” Screamed one of the Legendary Dogs, Entei. “I assure you, Entei, I checked their rooms, they were all empty.” Answered the fellow Legendary dog, Raikou. “THIS IS A DISASTER!”  Entei continued to shout as the council was in disarray and murmuring to one another about this situation. “But how could they leave also their own posts?” Groudon asked as he looked down at some of the legends. “For that to happen, they would have left willingly and not forcefully.” Kyogre answered as she fixed herself on her spot. “Did they at least leave a message as to why they left?” Regigigas asked from his seat, glued to it until he was needed to do such action. “Actually, I found this note on Arceus’ door.” Answered Raikou.

“Let me see that.” Entei said as he read through the small note. The legendaries were waiting for Entei to either say it or pass it around. Soon Entei started to read it aloud for everyone to hear.

“We Legendaries who are leaving the council until further notice are currently following what we deem to be our Path. We are sorry for causing panic, harm or problems to all of you but our hearts are more important than being shackled to our work that we ourselves could not just leave. But rest assured, we have made sure to keep our work even if the circumstances differ from what we are used to.

To the council,

Arceus, Giratina, Cresselia, Ho-oh, Latias, Shaymin, and Mew”

As Entei finished reading the letter part there were some added listings under it.

1) WE do not know when we will return, but we will return in due time.

2) Arceus asks that the Legends would understand when they would understand what we are going through.

3) Giratina asks that this is a personal matter.

4) Ho-oh asks that her travels to be more lively.

5) Latias asks to tell her uncle sorry for leaving.

6) Shaymin has nothing to say.

7) Mew asks that you would all understand.

8) And I leave the Hall of Origins to the hands of Time and Space, thank you.

By the last mention of Time and Space all the Legends present all moved their eyes at Dialga and Palkia. In reaction, Dialga faints, falling flat on his side while Palkia covers her head with both hands.

Meanwhile, Arceus’ group had finally found Ash and company. They were excited but they knew that their forms will attract more attention. At that moment, Arceus suggested, “Why don’t we transform ourselves as humans? That way, he will never realize that it’s us.” Her suggestion was applauded upon and soon, they started transforming.

Back at camp, Ash and friends was making their lunch. Brock was busy making the meals, both for them and their Pokémon, Dawn was setting up the table and Ash was stalling the Pokémon from eating the food right away. Their tranquil moment was disturbed by a rustling of bushes and the appearance of a few robed ladies.

“Hello there.” Ash greeted to the ladies, waving a hand to them as well. “What would you ladies be doing way out here out so late?” The one in the front, dressed in white but rainbow-like effect robed, answered the boy, “We are just ladies who enjoy traveling to faraway places.” She said, a smile creeping in her face. (It’s so nice to see you again.) She thought to herself.
