Chapter 17: Insanity?
Krystal immediately dashed towards Rebecca at full speed, once she got close to her she kicked off the ground at blinding speeds. Tackling Rebecca sending the both of them pass my father and into a nearby tree. Krystal stared at Rebecca over top of her, but there was a white glowing sphere that was in between the two of them.
Krystal jumped backward as Rebecca stood to her feet and continued hold her palm out towards Krystal not saying a word. Her wings began changing colors into a bright green color, her hand began shaking fiercely.
"With the power of understanding..." She said loudly.
As soon as she said that I immediately recognized what she was going to do.
"Krystal get out of the way!" I yelled to her at the top of my lungs.
I wanted to run over to where she was, but I didn't want to take my eyes off the bastard who stood in front of me.
"Sasha...!"
"I'm on it!" She said as she quickly dashed off to where Krystal was running right pass my father.
"I summon Solar Beam!" Rebecca yelled as a large yellow beam shot from in front of her palm.
Krystal tried moving out of the way, but the beam was far faster than she could reflexively have moved. With a large explosion, that made me shield my face from all the dirt and debris that flew towards me.
Once everything settled I looked for Krystal and Sasha, and then back to where my father was. To see that he was now gone, but that was the least of my worries right now. Finding my Sasha and Krystal was my top objective.
As the dust start to settle on the spot where they were, the first thing I saw was the sparkling wings of Rebecca which were now reduced in size. She still had her hand out from her previous attack, the anger inside me start building rapidly. I could only hope that nothing has happened to them for Rebecca's sake, but I would have no problem killing my own sister if she brought harm to Krystal or Sasha...
Now the dust in the entire area was gone and there stood both Krystal and Sasha. With a glowing white wall that were in front of the both of them.
Sasha must have made it over to where Krystal was in time to use that shield to stop the blast from killing her. I began calming down once I saw the two of them unharmed and started looking around me for the problem of my life.
But he was nowhere to be found, I thought he may have taken the time to run away while we were distracted by that massive attack.
"Dammit..." I said to myself as turned to face Krystal and the others.
I quickly charge over to where Rebecca was swiped at her. She ducked my attack and then jumped into the sky flapping her beautiful wings. I no longer felt the need to be hell bent killing her anymore just want to beat the crap out of her.
Suddenly I heard a series of footsteps quickly approaching me. I quickly turned around to see that it was Krystal and Sasha running towards me at full speed. They both jumped up towards me, Krystal using my face as a stepping stone with her heavy boots. While Sasha used my left shoulder as a lift off station as well, this caused me to fall backwards with the combine force of them both stepping on me. I then looked up to see what they were doing.
Krystal took the lead as the both flew towards Rebecca.
Rebecca suits eyes began glowing purple as she started charging for an attack.
"With the power of understanding I summon Extrasensory!" She yelled as a glowing beam shot from her forehead.
Krystal smiled as she saw the beam coming, she swung her foot around which had Sasha attached to it. Sasha flew towards the beam very fast, as her claw started turning darker than what they were, Krystal yelled out, "Night Slash!"
Sasha did a complete three sixty to add extra power into her swing to which she completely able to deflect it. In the same motion she fired off a Shadow ball which came at Rebecca at a high speeds.
"That won't work on me!" She said as she extended both her hands out in front of her catching the shadowy blob, which started to push her backward. She used every ounce of strength in her body to push it out and to keep it from hitting her body, but instead threw it above her.
Rebecca was so focus on stopping the ball she didn't notice that Krystal used Sasha as another stepping stone to reach her.
By the time Rebecca noticed her, Krystal was already above her. Coming down with a very powerful axe kick Rebecca used her right arm to block it. Once it connected felt like a shockwave had swept the area, sending Rebecca crashing down into the lake below.
My eyes widen as it seemed if though it all happened in an instant. I narrowed my vision to see Sasha land in the water soon after and Krystal to follow. I immediately dive in after them to see if they were alright.
Swimming at my top speed I reached them in no time grabbing hold of Sasha first, and then Krystal who wasn't too far away. Sasha grabbing hold of my prongs on the upper back spine holding on tightly as she could, and then Krystal grabbed a hold of my face as tightly as she could which reminded me of how strong she is. It felt great to have the both of them with me safely though I know I won't be for too long, but I mean what's the worst they can do to me.
As soon as we reached land the both of them jumped off of me. I just remained on all fours expecting the wraith of the small ebony girl.
Sasha fell to the ground panting heavily while Krystal stood in my face with the most inflamed look in her eyes. She bald up both her fist tightly and raised both her arms in the air.
I closed my eyes to brace myself to take the massive amount of pain she was going to deliver on me, but nothing happened...
"I should kill you right now..." I heard Krystal say as I began opening my eyes.
When I gazed up to her, she still had the mean expression on her face. Everything that I've put her though she deserved to do whatever she wanted to me, and I would have no right to resist.
"So what of it..." I said trying to provoke the anger out of her.
She brought both of her hands down to her side, and began laughing loudly. This caused Sasha to come out of her exhausted state and to look into our direction confused.
"What did you do to Head Lady?" Sasha asked concerned.
"Head what now?" I said confused.
Krystal stopped laughing then looked over to Sasha shaking her head to her, then back over to me.
"It's a long story, but you on the other hand are a great mystery in itself..." She continued staring at me obviously fighting back the tears that now occupied her eyes. "This is the second time I sworn that I'd fucking break you if I caught you...Max..." She said as a tear escaped her eye.
"So you figured it out did you? Well 'Head Lady' for all the shit I put you through you have every right to beat/kill me. I promise you I won't fight back, I only ask that you move on with your life Krystal, and follow your dreams." I said closing my eyes satisfied with those words even if they were my final ones.
Just then I felt a small hand go across the left side of my face so hard it caused me to tumble over, and then hit ground very roughly. I grabbed stinging pain area of my face with my left hand holding it tightly.
"So this is what forgiveness feels like, and I have to say I don't like it...One half of me is saying kill you and the other is thanking God I finally found you. For both Max and Ferali." She said as she began walking over to where I was.
"Krystal?..."
"I knew that you two were in love." Sasha said making her way over to where we were. "Or else I think Head Lady would have killed you by now, but I think this is her way of forgiving you Ferali...or Max was it?"
I then looked to Sasha and shook my head still holding my face, and then look back to her saying, "Since I don't have that body anymore I won't keep that name. From now on I'll go by Ferali and also you two will be my new family only if you two will accept me?" I said throwing myself at their mercy.
"Its fine with me, but I won't be so forgiving if you pull this again." Sasha said looking away from me holding her right paw out.
I immediately reached out for it, taking it in both of my hands shaking it happily. I notice that Sasha had a slight blush on her face. I couldn't help but smile at the sight of it.
"Just remember I'm not looking for a mate..."
"Well damn I was just about to ask you about that." I said teasing her.
We both started laughing, and then smile to each other. Turning our attention towards Krystal who was still looking away from the two of us pouting with her arms folded. I calmly stuck my hand out to Krystal for a hand shake of forgiveness, but was left hanging for a moment.
She turned to me and looked down to my hand; she unfolded her arms and slapped it away, stepping closer to me. She buried her face into my chest which caused my heart to start beating rapidly. Slowly placing her right hand on my chest, I instinctively lowered my head down to her level in order to hear her better. She stood up on her tip-toes and gave me a long kiss on the side of the face where she had slapped me earlier.
I kept my head down for as long as the kiss lasted, which was for quite a while. Once she was done she quickly turned around away from me and took a few steps.
"Not that I mind at all but what was that for?" I asked her confused.
"A thank you..." She said tilting her head down.
"'A thank you?'" Sasha said squinting her eyes at Krystal.
"Sasha you may not know, but this is that fat ass's second time saving me from that situation like that..."
"Oh yeah now that I think about it that room service guy...and the alley fight. But you know two things happened that made this time much better." I said placing my hand underneath my chin.
"And that would be?" Krystal said still looking away from me.
"That it wasn't your fault and I didn't surrender." I said pointing to Krystal and then hammering my right hand into my left palm.
She begins laughing loudly once again this time grabbing her forehead with her right hand and bending over holding her stomach with her left.
After a moment or two of just laughing loudly Krystal stood to her feet wiping the tear build up from her eyes. Sasha and I look to each other and shrugged lightly confuse by her nonstop laughing. Krystal then looks towards the two of us smiling.
"Wow this must what it feels like to go insane, and I must say it's not as bad as I thought it would be." She said with a continuing smile on her face.
"Sasha I think our leader has completely lost it." I said closing my eyes and lowering my head. "But I think that happened a long time ago." I said raising both my arms in the air in an 'I give up' motion. I started walking away from the two of them back into the woods.
I started thinking about what all just happened, like how could my family have done this to me. How did that voice know to send me to The Lake of Rage? And where could Shine have gone to when Rebecca shot that beam. Speaking of Rebecca I'm pretty sure something like that couldn't have killed her.
My mind was running a million miles a second.
"Shit and now that we're out of the danger that bastard Shine is still running around, but with a wound like that he'll most likely go somewhere and get that fixed." I said to myself mumbling continuously walking forward.
"Ferali!" I heard someone yell.
Their voice caught my attention which me stopped then turned to face the voice of who could have been calling me.
"Huh what?"
"You may have not been with us in a while, but we operate as a team. That means we walk together as well, so no more of this solo crap ok..." Krystal said placing her right hand on her hip.
I shook my head at her and smiled saying, "Oh yeah I almost forgot about that, but now that this is over Krystal I have a one question for you."
"And what would that be?"
"Where are we going from here?"
"Simple." She said turning to Sasha who was behind her smiling. "We're to start our adventure."
"Interesting so we're going to start having fun while a mad man wreaks havoc on everywhere he goes. Not only that Krystal your parents might be in trouble." I said staring at the ground in thought.
"What would make you think that?" She said half eyed glazing at me.
"Well he told me everything...though it was sad, it is really no reason to pull this stunt on kids. Plus it was your parents who funded him for his project."
"Yeah so what?" She said.
"And they may be the reason why everyone thinks he's dead..."
"What the hell are you talking about Ferali?"
"Dammit Krystal think about it do you think the suits he built cost a few Pokédollars?"
"No, well I assume they must have cost a lot. Though I don't see what you're getting at." She said placing her hand on her chin thinking.
"Well what would do to someone you invest a lot of money into, but don't produce any results for you nor your company." I said taking my right hand and placing it on the left side of my neck, and then taking my finger running it across my neck.
"Oh I see, so my parents must have tried and have him killed because of the money they invested in him?"
"Yeah that or..." I mutter to myself not wanting to tell her the truth.
"Or what...Ferali tell me." She said with a concerned tone.
I looked at Sasha who was sitting behind Krystal looking at me very confused, about our entire predicament. I shook my head and sighed dejectedly not wanting any more of this crap to continue, but we'd get through this I just know if we stay together nothing will do us any harm.
"Ferali!" Krystal yelled catching my attention back towards her and stopped my day dreaming.
"Huh-what were we talking about? Sorry I'm sort of out of it, you know."
"Head Lady we should rest for a while maybe it'll do us some good. I mean I'm kind of in the dark here and I'm confused and tired about all this." Sasha said sleepily.
"Fine, we'll rest for a bit but Ferali I want you tell me everything that's on your mind. I'm a big girl so I think I could handle the truth." She said smiling to me.
I smiled back to her stepping closer to her and looking down to her. She once again buried her face into my chest giving me a deep hug saying, "Welcome back."
I blushed slightly from her affection, and then look back to Sasha who was off her feet on ground sleeping. Breaking the much welcomed hug with Krystal to walk over to Sasha and pick her up. Krystal just looked at me with a hand on her hip not letting the smile off her face.
We started making our way back to Route 43 it was only a little ways off from where we were. Sasha looked so peaceful why sleeping; I didn't want to say anything to wake her up. She truly amazed me at what she done today, how she was able to stand up to her previous owner. If I were a Pokémon first I think she and I would have had something more than friends.
I then looked in front of me to see Krystal happily skipping ahead of us, like a kid who just got a piece of candy. I wonder what she could be thinking inside that small head of hers. Though the conversation we were having earlier isn't over and knowing her she's not going to let it go that easy.
That reminds me I need to ask her since when did she and Sasha become such a great tag team. I mean that's something you can't just improvise on the spot.
About thirty minutes passed by before we came to a stop, Krystal had stopped and I caught up to her. She was looking around area as if scouting for something she took off running in a specific direction into the woods, which was just confusing to me. I assume she must have been up to nothing good or just playing around so I silently followed behind her to not disturb Sasha from resting.
"Here it is!" Krystal yelled as she bends over digging through a large bush which was twice the size of her. When she pulled back she almost falling over, but was holding her backpack.
I shook my head at the sight and said, "So fearless leader where do you want to setup camp?"
"Well I'm sure holding Sasha must be exciting for you, so we're going to camp right here for the night. I'm sure that we'll be fine here and it'll give us time to talk with each other." She said smiling to me.
Another thirty minutes passed as we setup the tent and got a fire started I was pretty tired myself and wanted to relax for a while. Krystal sat next to me by the fire leaning in against me; she was just staring at the fire quietly. Sasha was on the other side of the fire still sleeping quietly; she must have really been more tired than I thought.
"So you wanna know about our situation?" I asked Krystal.
"I guess you can tell me what it was you were mumbling about earlier." She said still staring at the fire.
I looked down to her and sighed deeply turning my head away from the fire, "Krystal the man faked his own death so he could further his own research without having to pay your parents back. Not only had that he completely used us as test subjects for that purpose."
"What are you talking about he never used you in any of his experiments." She said looking up to me.
"Umm...Remember the first time we met." I said looking down to her.
She took a finger and placed it at the bottom of her lip in thought, "Let's see, I was on a cliff doing something..."
"You were crying and yet you look so beautiful." I said placing a hand on her head.
She blushed slightly looking up to me smiling saying, "Yeah and you look like a bum trying to offer me a hand."
"So that made you attack me for no reason? Luckily I was wearing Dr. Shine's prototype suit..."
"So wait you mean to tell me the only way you were able to keep up with me was because you had the suit? Now that I think about it I've never seen you wear it before or seen you use any special abilities like the others can use." She said going into a deeper thought.
"I always wore the suit just wasn't apparent to the naked eye. It was an organic suit that adjusted itself to suit my needs. So basically I didn't need to change clothes or anything like that."
"So you didn't take baths..." She said cringing at the thought.
"I took baths silly just when it came to things on the field such as fighting and hunger. I wasn't affected by it as much making me more effective, when it came to exploring and learning about Pokémon."
"How would those things help you on the exploring and Pokémon?" She said looking back towards the fire again.
"Well you see the suit allow me to survive in harsh environment. It wasn't meant to duplicate powers of Pokémon like the suits those two were using. I guess he must have made some upgrades." I said taking my hand off her head, and then placed it on her waist.
"Interesting, but why didn't Dr. Shine just tell my parents about the result he got on the suit when he used it on you?"
"Good question and this is the kicker. He wanted me to collect lots of information on Pokémon, but I was so caught up with my Feraligatr and you I didn't do too much learning. I have to say I don't regret a second of it." I said leaning down licking the side of her cheek.
"Heh Heh stop it, ugh I think this is how I fell for you then. You're a Pokémon now so we can't do that..." She said teasing me.
"So what you don't like me now?" I said teasing her back, getting off topic.
"Maybe, but only because you're my Pokémon now and I can do whatever I want with you."
"I think I'll welcome that...But Krystal you know I really care for you. I want to know right now, how you feel about me being like this?" I said sincerely.
"I don't know what to think Ferali; this is a little much for me to just swallow in one day. How about we take our time like we did when we first met ok?" She said burying her face into my stomach nodding off to sleep.
'You can take as much time as you need my sweet beast, I'll always be here for you.' I thought to myself as I fell asleep.
"You're insane you know that?" The voice in my head said returning.

"Shit and now that we're out of the danger that bastard Shine is still running around, but with a wound like that he'll most likely go somewhere and get that fixed." I said to myself mumbling continuously walking forward.
"Ferali!" I heard someone yell.
Their voice caught my attention which me stopped then turned to face the voice of who could have been calling me.
"Huh what?"
"You may have not been with us in a while, but we operate as a team. That means we walk together as well, so no more of this solo crap ok..." Krystal said placing her right hand on her hip.
I shook my head at her and smiled saying, "Oh yeah I almost forgot about that, but now that this is over Krystal I have a one question for you."
"And what would that be?"
"Where are we going from here?"
"Simple." She said turning to Sasha who was behind her smiling. "We're to start our adventure."
"Interesting so we're going to start having fun while a mad man wreaks havoc on everywhere he goes. Not only that Krystal your parents might be in trouble." I said staring at the ground in thought.
"What would make you think that?" She said half eyed glazing at me.
"Well he told me everything...though it was sad, it is really no reason to pull this stunt on kids. Plus it was your parents who funded him for his project."
"Yeah so what?" She said.
"And they may be the reason why everyone thinks he's dead..."
"What the hell are you talking about Ferali?"
"Dammit Krystal think about it do you think the suits he built cost a few Pokédollars?"
"No, well I assume they must have cost a lot. Though I don't see what you're getting at." She said placing her hand on her chin thinking.
"Well what would do to someone you invest a lot of money into, but don't produce any results for you nor your company." I said taking my right hand and placing it on the left side of my neck, and then taking my finger running it across my neck.
"Oh I see, so my parents must have tried and have him killed because of the money they invested in him?"
"Yeah that or..." I mutter to myself not wanting to tell her the truth.
"Or what...Ferali tell me." She said with a concerned tone.
I looked at Sasha who was sitting behind Krystal looking at me very confused, about our entire predicament. I shook my head and sighed dejectedly not wanting any more of this crap to continue, but we'd get through this I just know if we stay together nothing will do us any harm.
"Ferali!" Krystal yelled catching my attention back towards her and stopped my day dreaming.
"Huh-what were we talking about? Sorry I'm sort of out of it, you know."
"Head Lady we should rest for a while maybe it'll do us some good. I mean I'm kind of in the dark here and I'm confused and tired about all this." Sasha said sleepily.
"Fine, we'll rest for a bit but Ferali I want you tell me everything that's on your mind. I'm a big girl so I think I could handle the truth." She said smiling to me.
I smiled back to her stepping closer to her and looking down to her. She once again buried her face into my chest giving me a deep hug saying, "Welcome back."
I blushed slightly from her affection, and then look back to Sasha who was off her feet on ground sleeping. Breaking the much welcomed hug with Krystal to walk over to Sasha and pick her up. Krystal just looked at me with a hand on her hip not letting the smile off her face.
We started making our way back to Route 43 it was only a little ways off from where we were. Sasha looked so peaceful why sleeping; I didn't want to say anything to wake her up. She truly amazed me at what she done today, how she was able to stand up to her previous owner. If I were a Pokémon first I think she and I would have had something more than friends.
I then looked in front of me to see Krystal happily skipping ahead of us, like a kid who just got a piece of candy. I wonder what she could be thinking inside that small head of hers. Though the conversation we were having earlier isn't over and knowing her she's not going to let it go that easy.
That reminds me I need to ask her since when did she and Sasha become such a great tag team. I mean that's something you can't just improvise on the spot.
About thirty minutes passed by before we came to a stop, Krystal had stopped and I caught up to her. She was looking around area as if scouting for something she took off running in a specific direction into the woods, which was just confusing to me. I assume she must have been up to nothing good or just playing around so I silently followed behind her to not disturb Sasha from resting.
"Here it is!" Krystal yelled as she bends over digging through a large bush which was twice the size of her. When she pulled back she almost falling over, but was holding her backpack.
I shook my head at the sight and said, "So fearless leader where do you want to setup camp?"
"Well I'm sure holding Sasha must be exciting for you, so we're going to camp right here for the night. I'm sure that we'll be fine here and it'll give us time to talk with each other." She said smiling to me.
Another thirty minutes passed as we setup the tent and got a fire started I was pretty tired myself and wanted to relax for a while. Krystal sat next to me by the fire leaning in against me; she was just staring at the fire quietly. Sasha was on the other side of the fire still sleeping quietly; she must have really been more tired than I thought.
"So you wanna know about our situation?" I asked Krystal.
"I guess you can tell me what it was you were mumbling about earlier." She said still staring at the fire.
I looked down to her and sighed deeply turning my head away from the fire, "Krystal the man faked his own death so he could further his own research without having to pay your parents back. Not only had that he completely used us as test subjects for that purpose."
"What are you talking about he never used you in any of his experiments." She said looking up to me.
"Umm...Remember the first time we met." I said looking down to her.
She took a finger and placed it at the bottom of her lip in thought, "Let's see, I was on a cliff doing something..."
"You were crying and yet you look so beautiful." I said placing a hand on her head.
She blushed slightly looking up to me smiling saying, "Yeah and you look like a bum trying to offer me a hand."
"So that made you attack me for no reason? Luckily I was wearing Dr. Shine's prototype suit..."
"So wait you mean to tell me the only way you were able to keep up with me was because you had the suit? Now that I think about it I've never seen you wear it before or seen you use any special abilities like the others can use." She said going into a deeper thought.
"I always wore the suit just wasn't apparent to the naked eye. It was an organic suit that adjusted itself to suit my needs. So basically I didn't need to change clothes or anything like that."
"So you didn't take baths..." She said cringing at the thought.
"I took baths silly just when it came to things on the field such as fighting and hunger. I wasn't affected by it as much making me more effective, when it came to exploring and learning about Pokémon."
"How would those things help you on the exploring and Pokémon?" She said looking back towards the fire again.
"Well you see the suit allow me to survive in harsh environment. It wasn't meant to duplicate powers of Pokémon like the suits those two were using. I guess he must have made some upgrades." I said taking my hand off her head, and then placed it on her waist.
"Interesting, but why didn't Dr. Shine just tell my parents about the result he got on the suit when he used it on you?"
"Good question and this is the kicker. He wanted me to collect lots of information on Pokémon, but I was so caught up with my Feraligatr and you I didn't do too much learning. I have to say I don't regret a second of it." I said leaning down licking the side of her cheek.
"Heh Heh stop it, ugh I think this is how I fell for you then. You're a Pokémon now so we can't do that..." She said teasing me.
"So what you don't like me now?" I said teasing her back, getting off topic.
"Maybe, but only because you're my Pokémon now and I can do whatever I want with you."
"I think I'll welcome that...But Krystal you know I really care for you. I want to know right now, how you feel about me being like this?" I said sincerely.
"I don't know what to think Ferali; this is a little much for me to just swallow in one day. How about we take our time like we did when we first met ok?" She said burying her face into my stomach nodding off to sleep.
'You can take as much time as you need my sweet beast, I'll always be here for you.' I thought to myself as I fell asleep.
"You're insane you know that?" The voice in my head said returning.
