Chapter 2: is this a new starting point?
"Hmmm... It would seem that I know you." I said to her in a questioning manner. I stared back at her from the back of my eye. She had somewhat of a shocked expression look on her face as if she had seen a ghost. She looked at me and said that, "Why would some giant water Pokémon know me?" she said wrapping her arms around my neck. For someone her size she was really strong, and hell even for someone my size would even have to admit that. I started to gasp for air, so she eased up for a bit making sure I wouldn't try anything. I began to cough catching my breath and wanting to breathe a little more than I was I tried to shake her off. She instead stepped on me in the back of my head and jumped off.
As I laid there thinking back to what she just asked I thought to myself why I would I know the name of some small girl I just met. Perhaps I may have met her before all this craziness happened to me; I better ask her something to just be sure.
"Excuse me Miss Krystal was it, can I ask what you were doing here?" I asked like a big kid. She looked at me with a dumb look frozen on her face and snapped up and said, "Oh yeah! I was looking for someone I was hot on his trail till he vanished in the forest." She said then started getting a worried look on her face. "Last I remember that was three days ago, including what happened last night makes it four days."
Her eyes started too trailed off looking into the sky and mumbled "I hope that he's ok." I looked at her and said "he must be very important to you if you were out here for thre...four days. " I said correcting myself. I started to look at her intensely, but the more I did that the more questions I had for her. I decided to leave it alone, for now I needed to know what I was going to do.
That's when I noticed that she was starting to stand up on her tip-toes and reaching out for a nice long stretch. I notice that she didn't have too many features that would make me want to do anything, that and the ridiculous amount of strength she had would ward me off easily.
She looked back at me and said "why are you staring at me like that?"
I closed my eyes and stood up wondering what I should tell her, she sort of put me on the spot when she asked that I wasn't really prepared to answer that yet. So I said the first thing that came to my mind. "I was wondering if I may follow you for a while?" She looked at me as if I was speaking other language, but to my knowledge of the conversation that we just had she should be able to understand me clearly. I looked to her and asked, "Was there something wrong?"
She looked at me in my eyes and shook her head and said "oh no, Mr. Feraligatr I was wondering what was a talking, nice Pokémon such as yourself doing out here."
Then it was me to have the dumb look my face, was it so weird that I was nice, or the fact that I saved her life from the Scyther's attack. I looked her in the eye and said "I'm not really sure myself the last thing I remember was that I woke up in a clear meadow on the other side of the forest. I have no memory of how I got there or why I'm like this." She just looked at me with her arms now wrapped around the back of her head.
"Okay!" she said suddenly
I snapped at attention and looked at her with a worried look on my face. "It's ok if I come with you?" I asked with a shining glimmer in my eye. Hopefully that I'm with her I should be able to find some answers to what's going on.
"But!" She said hold her index finger out to me with both her eyes close. She continued, "I don't usually travel with Pokémon, normally they do nothing but slow me down, but you there's something about you that have a lot of potential. Mainly the fact that you saved me in Ilex Forest has peaked my interest in you, not only that but the fact that you can talk is something else I'd like to look into more. Also seem to want to use me so I'll use you back." She said very bluntly.
I just stared at her with a blank look on my face wondering how anyone could be so cold and straight forward with someone they just met, I just listened as she continued.
She opened her eyes at me and got this devilish grin across her face. It caused me to take a step back in caution, wondering what she might try to pull with her insane speed and strength.
"You'll have to fight me so I can gauge you more. Hell I can probably knock your head straight and give you the answers locked in that head of yours." She said with an evil laugh.
As soon as she said that my eye's shot open because I realized how dangerous she was. Not only for what she did to me earlier, but no sane person would dare start a fight with a monster such as me.
I had no time to react she was already standing an inch or two in front of me. She placed her hands on my large blue chest and said, "This is a freebie I'll let you slide this time, but if you don't come correct I'll kill you...."
With that she jumped back and dropped into a fighting stance. If I didn't want to end up dead I would have to start taking this seriously. She had a look in her eye's saying that she would not try to be reasoned with and this is her form of reasoning. Guess I was going to have to earn the spot to travel at her side.
So I took a form fighting stance myself, so I got down on all fours seeing as how I could move around much quickly like this. In an instance I began by shooting several streams of water at her to my surprise she use the back of her hands and the heel of her left foot to knock them all away from her, and shot off running towards me faster than the water I just shot. When she got within muzzle range of me I opened my jaw and snapped down as hard and quickly as I could. When my vision focused I could only see that she was doing a handstand on my snout, and push down on me hard enough as to where my head was in the dirt. She used that moment to jump up in the air and come down with a hard axe kick similar to the one she used on that scyther from yesterday. I immediately rolled out of the way to the left, when she came down I felt the ground rumble a bit before I stood up. When I looked back to where she was her foot was in very small crater she had made, she was still looking at the ground as I stood up.
Thinking to myself 'Wow I starting think she was trying to kill me with that one.' I thought sarcastically
But then notice that her guard was still down, so I charged at her as quickly as I could with a mighty slash attack to the front of her right side. She easily spun around the attack and countered by grabbing my wrist and arm by twisting them backwards.
With that I knew she had won the fight now to wait and pray that she doesn't break my arm.
She spun me around with the momentum of my attack and threw me into the air. I flew for about three seconds before roughly hitting the ground. She calmly walked over to me breathing rather normally for someone that I just put my best into defeating. I on the other hand was passed tired my body wouldn't do what I told it to do.
She stood over me, I just closed my eye's waiting for her to do her worst to me next thing I knew that she reached into her small pouch that I didn't notice from last night, it was hanging around her waist and she pulled a round blue object. I closed my eyes feeling that this could spell the end of me.
Next thing I felt was a light tap on my forehead it felt like I was being dragged away somewhere very cramped. I fought as hard as I could to get out, but I was far too tired to get out of the small space. For a few seconds I felt calm as if I didn't mind being here, and then came a large rattle within the tight space I closed my eyes once again. Everything went bright I starting opening my eyes again I was standing in the same spot that I had disappeared at.
I turned my head around to see the small form standing behind me, smiling like there was no tomorrow. She looked at me and said "You pass!" I was somewhat relieved to hear that, I really didn't have any more fight left in me to continue with that small beast...
Blinking a few times I stood back looking at her and asked "I'm not to find any more surprises right.... I can now travel with you without you trying to kill me?"
She looked at me with a smile on her face and said, "Sure you can travel with me but I'll be training you along the way for helping you defend yourself, and that may include you dying so 'no' I will be trying to kill you by training you, understand?" She said with a very Kawaii smile on her face.
I took a nice long sigh and thought to myself well this is better than nothing I guess plus since she is so strong I won't really have to worry about her being in danger or something like that.
Once I was done thinking I looked up at her and asked "What was that thing you used on me it felt familiar and weird at the same time."
She had another dumb look on her face. "What you don't know what a pokeball is?" She said waving the ball around in her hands.
My eyes followed the ball not letting it out of my sights, and then snapped back at her when she tossed it to me. I caught it and started to examine it as if it were a strange meal or something really valuable.
She stared at me as if I were some child who needed to be taken care of, and shook her head looking at the ground. She said "That there is gonna be your safe haven away from me and a resting spot for you. And also so that nobody else can capture you, your quite valuable my friend and no one is gonna take you away from me. Only because you passed my test that is." She said smiling walking towards me. She stood as close as she did before the fight and placed her hand on my chest and her head down to the ground and asked, "I can trust you right?" I placed my hand on her head.
I looked down at her and said, "Shouldn't I be the one asking that question. I'm not sure of myself at the moment and will need some time to sort something's out, but I do know I can trust you so you should be able to trust me ok."
She looked up at me and said, "Ok!" with a very cheerful smile.
I started to blush because then I saw very cute girl inside the beast...
With those words of understanding one and another as far as trust goes we were good, but I still had some questions for her but I'll have to ask her another time. She pointed in a certain direction and told me to go that way to the nearest town after that she was out cold. I got down on all fours, grabbed her and put in my back and, started making my way down the clearing.
