The Benefits of Slavery by boss_snikrot

Chapter 1 - Royal Plot

Tali strode through the halls of her personal palace, a simple building carved out of a stone mountainside in between the regions once known as Kanto and Johto. It was sparsely decorated with patterns along the wall, illuminated by the sunlight streaming though holes in the opposite wall. She held herself tall, her silky fur appearing to be on fire from the sun's rays, although this only lasted scant moments before she reverted to walking on all fours. While it was relatively undignified for the princess to do such, it was infinitely more comfortable. Besides, the other two with her wouldn't dare utter a word about it.

Behind the Ninetales princess came a Mightyena, a well built male hired to be her escort whenever it was required. He remained upright, the bodyguard needing his hands to hold the arm of the second person with her. His charge was Tali's personal human slave, a young adolescent with sandy blonde hair which fell down to his chin unevenly, the result of a Scyther's attempted hair cut at her request. He had deep blue eyes, although she only knew this as a result of ordering him to directly look her in the eye, a necessity thanks to the behavioural training that all humans were made to take during their upbringing. He was slightly shorter than her, but she suspected that he wasn't quite finished growing. He wore only a tattered pair of loose, dark blue fabric boxers, a rare privilege given only to slaves of influential masters. His name was Sam, though Tali insisted on calling him Samuel for a touch of formality.

The only sound was their feet contacting the stone ground, the bodyguard staying silent through discipline and the slave due to status. She glanced behind her as they walked, noticing that both of them had been staring at her hindquarters, her many tails never covering that area properly. Sam noticed her stare, quickly averting his gaze to the ground as a blush spread across his cheeks. She smiled at his modesty before looking over her opposite shoulder to see Mightyena's lustful leer. He too noticed her stare, but this time it wasn't a mild curiosity that graced her features but an unimpressed scowl. He looked out the window, well aware of what her father King Lester might do if she complained to him. The royal palace was barely a few days travel on foot, but he also knew any of the psychic pokemon in his court could see the king arrive in a matter of moments after receiving the word.

"Samuel, I would like you to accompany me into my personal chambers." Tali said, another hard stare at the bodyguard letting him know that only the slave was welcome. As the Ninetales princess moved through the hanging ferns which afforded her room privacy Mightyena shoved Sam forward with little grace, the sneer on his face letting the slave know just what the bodyguard thought of Tali affording him more respect than the pokemon. Sam didn't care, knowing that to respond to the bodyguard in any way was not going to end well.

As he entered Princess Tali's chambers, he took in the sights as always. The floor was covered in straw to soften the hard rock ground, while a generous pile of leaves served as her bed against the far wall. One wall had a sizeable window, the rest of the walls covered in complicated patterns carved into the rock and highlighted with naturally made paints. He wasn't sure what they meant, but he liked them. Finally his gaze returned to the bed, where Tali was lying on her front and staring at him interestedly.

"I feel tense, so I would like you to give me a massage." She said, one foot swaying gently above her as she folded her arms and rested her head on them. He moved towards her unconsciously, taking in her well rounded breasts and backside as he obeyed the order thanks to the conditioning some human children went through to make better slaves. Tali didn't notice him gulp nervously as he got on his knees, slowly reaching over to rest his hands on her upper back. He hesitated for a second at the warmth and softness of her fur, although he had done this several times in the past. Slowly he began to rub her back, taking great care not to cause her discomfort by rubbing her fur too hard.

"Is this alright, mistress?" he asked nervously, rubbing his palms just below her shoulders.

"Yes, it is very nice." She murmured, the sincerity he could hear in her voice putting his own mind at ease. He kept up the massage, working his way gradually down her back until he finally reached the base of her tails. He paused, unwilling to touch her backside for fear of reprisal. Tali glanced over her shoulder when she felt him start to work on her legs, seeing him blushing through his hair. She smiled, wondering just what thoughts had passed through his mind at the sight of her most intimate places.

"Samuel, you may leave." She said abruptly just as he was close to finishing her other leg, raising her head at a faint sound from outside the window. He nodded at her proclamation, leaving the room with his head low in respect. She drew herself up into a sitting position reminiscent of her canine ancestors as he left, ears listening as Mightyena escorted the young slave back to his personal holding quarters. Once the sounds of their departure grew silent, she drew out a small rock from under the bed of leaves and cast it against the wall below the window, letting it fall to the ground with a soft clatter. It didn't take long for the result to manifest, her handmaidens climbing in through the window and into the room. First was Danielle the Charmander, followed by Mel the Minccino.

Danielle was closer to Sam's height and age, probably shorter by a few inches and not quite as curvy as Tali, but still beautiful in her own right. She strode over to the Ninetales princess with all the grace she had been taught, bowing deeply before Tali before lowering herself gracefully onto the leaf bed. Mel was shorter by a few inches again, although her ears seemed to make her appear taller than she was. The princess saw her as more cute than beautiful, her blasé attitude reflecting her looks as she plonked herself down in the same seating position as Tali with a bright smile at the Ninetales, her breasts bouncing slightly at the motion. Her lack of elegance earned her a glare from Danielle, but the Minccino simply ignored it.

"Good morning princess, I hope you are well." Danielle began, bowing her head again to Tali.

"How've ya been?" Mel said, drawing another disdainful look from the Charmander. The Ninetales princess smiled brightly at her though, inwardly glad for the Minccino's contrasting personality.

"Very well, thank you both for asking." She replied, giving each of them a small nod of gratitude. "Have you any news?"

"The border disputes between Johto and Kanto have settled down." Danielle started, while Mel leaned back and zoned out. "Your father has reinforced along the entirety of the border, but I'm afraid he still yearns to take back Kanto from Prince Garreth."

"The Empoleon still stands by his terms for an alliance?" Tali asked. The Charmander nodded, grimacing slightly.

"Yes, he still wants you as his bride, but your father still respects your wish to not associate with him in the slightest." She replied, while Mel let out a short laugh.

"As if anyone would." The Minccino giggled, drawing an amused smile from the princess. "He's butt ugly! Not to mention the other thing..." she trailed off at the look Tali gave her, knowing she had reached the boundary.

"Father claims that Garreth may have spies in his employ." She murmured, gesturing for both girls to move behind her. Tali waited until they were out of the way before letting loose with a burst of fire, raising the temperature of the room until she could hear Mel panting. She listened carefully, though only the Minccino could be heard breathing. Satisfied, she relaxed, confident that no Kecleon had infiltrated inside her bedroom. "To mention my interest in Samuel out loud without first making sure we are safe is unwise. It could ruin my family, and the stability of Johto." Her handmaidens nodded, understanding.

"Sorry." Mel said, embarrassed. Tali put a hand on her shoulder to comfort her, before continuing.

"Unfortunately, I feel Samuel is still not responding to me, at least not consciously." She said, glancing out the window wistfully. "I have seen him staring, but even alone in my personal chambers he dares not make an advance on me. I do wish I could tell him outright, but to do so with so many others listening would invite disaster. Still... the way his hair falls around his face, his sturdy hands, his wonderful frame..."

"He's got a big dick. Say it right, princess!" Mel interrupted, giggling.

"Not all of us are as shallow as you, Melissa." Danielle snapped, earning little more than a poked out tongue from the Minccino. Tali raised her hands, quieting them down before the argument could escalate.

"I will admit that I am... inturgued... by that particular thought." The Ninetales said, though her expression changed from thought to despair. "Though I am afraid that the point is moot. To declare my interest publically would ruin my family, and to order him to fulfil my more base needs would suggest to him that I do not think of him as anything more than property to be used."

"Perhaps you can find a way to make it a reward for something?" Danielle suggested, Mel snapping her fingers in response to the beginning of an idea.

"I know how you can do that!" she giggled, scooting closer to Tali and beckoning the Charmander closer at the same time.

"Wake up! Quickly now boy!"

Sam groaned quietly as he was shaken awake by another slave, a man who was more than likely in his sixties and much lower in the princess' favour. Everywhere he could hear the exultant cries of other slaves running about, mingling with the confused shouts of the guards who were trying to restore order. Sam looked at the slave again, wondering who he was and what was going on.

"What's the matter?" he asked groggily, giving the man pulling him off his moderately comfortable bed a resentful look.

"The princess is gone! Now's our chance to escape!" he replied, his voice laden with relief. "We can make it to Pallet Town within a day and end our slavery!" Sam didn't hear the last part, still focussing on what he had said first.

"Princess Tali is gone?" he demanded. "How? Why?"

"Who cares?" was all the response he got before the old man let go of his arm and dashed out of the small chamber given to Sam by Tali. The young slave didn't move, conflicting thoughts swirling through his head. Was she okay? How did it happen under the guards watch? Should he just join the other slaves in their flight to Pallet Town? For a long while he stood in the small chamber, paralysed by indecision. Tali may have been his master, but she had never really treated him like a slave. He had always felt like a personal servant instead of oppressed, and from that he felt a surge of loyalty course through him. He had to find her, make sure she was okay.

Sam raced out of the palace grounds, through the skirmishing guards and slaves until he made it to the forest, using all of the training Tali had insisted he go through to make sure he was in top physical condition. He ran, paying no attention to any of the others in his headlong dash.

Mightyena watched him make his way through the second ring of guards, the one he had set up to make certain that only Sam escaped. He sneered at the human's retreating form, still trying to figure out what the princess was so interested in him for.
