Sacrifice Reveals the Truth

Having acquired his first seven badges, Ash along with Misty and Brock try to
find the eighth Pokémon gym. Not one of them knows where it is. They decide to
sail from Cinnabar back to Pallet Town to seek the aid of Professor Oak. When
Ash returns to his home town, he makes a quick visit to his mom and then heads
off to Professor Oak's lab. Ash buzzes in from outside the gate.
Oak: Who's there?
Ash: It's me professor, Ash Ketchum.
Oak: Ash? Since when did you become a professor.
Misty and Brock laugh.
Ash: No, I was referring to you.
Oak: Oh. Well in that case, come on in.
Professor Oak unlocks the electronic gates and the three trainers enter his
estate. Once inside, Professor Oak greets them.
Oak: Welcome back to Pallet!
Ash: Hello professor. You remember Brock and Misty don't you?
Oak: Of course I do. Greetings to you both.
Misty & Brock: Nice to see you again Professor.
Oak: Well Ash, how's your journey going?
Ash: See for yourself.
Ash flashes his badges.
Oak: Wow, that's great, but you still need one more to qualify for the
Pokémon league Tournament.
Ash: I know. That's one reason I came back here.
Oak: Oh?
Ash: None of us know where the eighth gym is located.
Oak: I'm sorry Ash, but as an official Pokémon League representative, I
cannot tell you that.
Ash: Ohhh... Does Gary know where it is?
Oak: Last I heard, he was driving around looking for it so I believe it's
safe to assume he doesn't. I can tell you, however, that the eighth badge is
the earth badge.
Ash: Thanks Professor.
Oak: No problem Ash, now what was the other reason you came here?
Ash: Oh, I just wanted to see my Pokémon in person.
Oak: Oh, they're all doing great. Just go through that door.
Ash: Thank you professor.
The three trainers go through the door and find a beautiful artificial jungle.
Misty: Wow Ash! This place is amazing!
Brock: It must be a Pokémon paradise!
Ash: I can't believe I've never seen this place before.

Ash yelling: Krabby, Muk, Tauros, are you here?
Soon enough, Ash's Pokémon come running towards him. All of them are happy to
see him and all try to hug him. Ash releases his other Pokémon and they all
start playing together, except for Charizard. Ash, Misty, and Brock find a
clearing and set up a picnic. Togepi and Pikachu play around them.
Ash: What do we do now? I really wanna get that last badge before Gary.
Misty: I'm tired. Why can't we stay in Pallet for a while?
Ash: Come on Misty! This is really important to me.
Misty: It's not like I'm saying you should stop all together. I just
want to rest a while.
Brock: Calm down you two! You'll disturb the Pokémon!
Ash & Misty: He/She started it! Hmph!
Brock: You know, my dad might know where the eighth gym is. As a gym
leader, he's aloud to tell us stuff like that as long as he doesn't give away
too much info.
Ash: Great! What are we waiting for, let's go!
Misty: Ash! Let's at least eat lunch first!
Ash: Oh yeah, I guess I forgot how hungry I was.
Misty: It's a good thing you had us with you or you'd have Pokémon in
your mind all day and forget to eat, sleep, or even go to the bathroom!
They all have a good laugh. When they finish eating, Ash gathers up his
Pokémon, says goodbye to Professor Oak, and leads his friends out of the
estate. They head to Viridian City. Walking through the forest, Ash, Pikachu,
and Misty replay memories of their first encounters with each other.
Ash: This is where I had to drag Pikachu along because he wouldn't obey me.
Pikachu: Pika pi.
Ash: That's the tree where all the Spearows were before they attacked us.
Pikachu(A little worried): Chu...
Misty: And that's where I was fishing when you stole my bike!
Ash: I knew this would happen if we passed through here again.
Misty: And by the way, you still owe me a new bike!
Ash: I know I know but I don't have enough money yet!
Misty: You should take a break from Pokémon and get a job so you can
pay me back.
Ash: I can't do that!
Misty: Ash you're always thinking of yourself!
Ash: I think about others too!
The argument continues through Viridian City and then to Viridian Forest.
Ash: Why can't you forget about that stupid bike! I'm sick of hearing about
it!
Misty: It wasn't a stupid bike! It was a great bike! And you won't
stop hearing about it until you get me a new one!
Ash: Why should I get you a new one? I let you have Togepi!
Togepi: Briii?
Misty: You didn't let me have Togepi, Togepi chose me!
Ash: That's only because you pushed me and Brock away when it was about to
hatch.
Misty: Well that was a good move because I'm the girl so I'm more
capable of caring than you.
Brock: Sorry to step in but I'm a Pokémon breeder and I think I would
have been the most capable.
Misty: Brock, this is an argument between me and Ash!
Brock: Ewww.....
Ash: And I won the tournament so I should have kept Togepi anyway!
Pikachu: Chu chu pika chu pika! (Please stop fighting!)
Ash: And Pikachu wouldn't even be here if I hadn't stolen your bike!
Misty: You didn't have to total it!
As they continued arguing, they hadn't noticed that their screams were
upsetting the local inhabitants of Viridian Forest. Neither did they notice
that Togepi had been walking away from them. Togepi had never seen Kakunas
before and had moved in for a closer look at one. "Briii toge toge!" it said as
it started to examine one, hands on. This upset the Kakuna and it starts to
glow. Pikachu is the first to spot Togepi.
Pikachu: Pika pi! Kachu pika! (Togepi! Get back here!)
The three trainers turn to look and see Togepi next to an evolving Kakuna.
"Togepi!" Misty screams as she raced towards it. She grabs Togepi and starts to
run just as the Beedrill emerges from the cocoon. "Help us!" Misty screams.
"Pidgeotto, I choose you!" Ash exclaims as he sends out a pokéball. Pidgeotto
flies out awaiting a command.
Ash: Pidgeotto, get that Beedrill! Use your quick attack!
Pidgeotto: Pidgeo!
Just as Pidgeotto approaches Beedrill, Beedrill shoots its pin missiles.
Pidgeotto easily dodges them and overcomes the weak bug. The pin missiles,
however, were not aimed at Pidgeotto. They were aimed at the original
disturbers. Ash spots this in the nick of time. He runs towards Misty and
Togepi screaming, "Get out of the way!" He pushes Misty and sends her rolling
along with her baby Pokémon. Neither Misty nor Togepi are hurt but Ash takes
three pin missiles right in the chest. He almost immediately faints as a result
of the poison stingers.
Misty and Brock: Ash!
Pikachu: Pikachuuuuuu! (Ash!)
Togepi (crying): Briiii! (Mommy!)
They all rush to Ash's side.
Misty: Oh my god! Ash! Wake up!
Ash doesn't respond. He is still unconscious. Brock grabs a Pokémon first-aid
kit out of Ash's bag and uses some tools to pull out the stingers. He exposes
Ash's chest. Misty, Brock, and Pikachu are shocked when they see that Ash's
skin is turning dark purple around the three puncture wounds. Brock looks
through the potion bag and find only a small vial of antidote. He pours it onto
the wounds but because Pokémon generally have stronger immune systems than
humans and the antidote was intended to be used on Pokémon, it barely helps
slow down the spreading.
Misty (hysterically): Ash! You saved me!
Brock: Misty, snap out of it! We have to get Ash to a doctor!
Pikachu: Pika!
Pikachu gently shocks Misty. She snaps to her senses.
Misty: What do we do?
Brock: Pidgeotto return!
Pidgeotto: Pidgeooo! (Please help him!)
Pidgeotto returns to the pokéball. Brock returns the pokéball onto Ash's belt
and sends out his own pokéball.
Brock: Onix come out!
Onic: Roar...
Brock: Onix, help us! Carry Ash to Pewter City! We'll try to keep up.
Onix does as it was told and starts slithering to Pewter City. Misty with
Togepi, Brock, and Pikachu quickly follow behind Onix. When they all arrived to
Pewter City, they head to the Pokécenter.
Joy: Misty, Brock, welcome back!
Brock: Joy! You have to help us!
Joy: What's wrong?
Onix comes in with Ash lying on top of his head.
Joy: What happened to Ash?
Misty: He was stung by a Beedrill!
Joy: This is a Pokécenter. I don't have the supplies to help humans but I'll
do what I can. In the mean time, call an ambulance to pick him up. Chansey,
bring him to the ER!
Chansey: Chansey! (Right away!)
Brock calls the hospital to send over an ambulance while Misty stares at the
glowing operating signal. "He'll be all right. He'll be all right," Misty
repeats to herself. About ten minutes after the ambulance arrives, Nurse Joy
and Chansey rush out wheeling Ash on the bed.
Brock: How'd it go?
Joy: I managed to slow the spread of the poison somewhat more but he needs
to be rushed to the doctors.
Misty: We're going with him.
Misty and Brock wheel Ash the rest of the way to the ambulance. They all enter
the ambulance together, except Joy and Chansey, and ride to the hospital.
Joy: Hang in there Ash! You have to pull though!
When the ambulance arrives at the hospital, the paramedics immediately wheel
Ash into the ER and report the situation to the doctors. Misty tries to follow
them into the ER but is immediately stopped by a paramedic.
Paramedic: I'm sorry. You're not allowed in there.
Brock: Misty, he'll be all right. He's a strong guy and he'll pull
through.
Misty: He did it to save me.
Brock: He's a hero.
Misty: A dumb, foolish hero. My hero.
Misty begins to cry. Brock, Pikachu, and Togepi all try to comfort her.
About two hours have passed when the doors burst open. Misty and Brock
immediately jump up. A doctor goes up to them to explain the situation.
Doctor: There's good news and bad news.
Brock: What's the good news?
Doctor: He's ok and will recover in a day or two. He was lucky that the
stingers hit his breastplate and a rib. The poison didn't reach any of his
vital organs.
Misty: And the bad?
Doctor: Beedrill poison normally affects human nerves the most.
Misty: Meaning?
Doctor: Ash might not have any feeling in his chest for a while.
Brock: That's awful!
Doctor: Normally, Beedrill would completely destroy sensory nerves. However,
the process takes a while and because of the antidote you gave him and the
potion that Joy administered, his nerves have not been affected too badly and
will recover fully.
Brock: That's great then, isn't it?
Doctor: Indeed it is, however, we don't know how long it will take. Your friend
had a very unique situation. It could take hours or maybe even a month.
Brock: Thank you for all your help.
Doctor: That's what I'm here for. You can't disturb him right now but as early
as 7:00 AM tomorrow morning, you'll be allowed to visit him.
Brock: Thanks.
The doctor walks off.
Brock: Did you hear that Misty? He'll be as good as new in no time.
Misty: He'll be all right. He'll be all right.
Brock: Why don't we go back to my house? We'll come back in the morning.
Misty: No, I want to be here so I can visit him as soon as possible.

Brock: Ok. But Misty, you have to take care of Pikachu and Togepi and promise
me you'll get a good night's sleep.
Misty: Ok Brock. I promise.
Misty lies down on one of the benches and sleeps with Pikachu and Togepi lying
on top of her. Brock returns to his house for a long-awaited reunion. All of
his brothers and sisters run up to him and hug him.
All: Brock!
Sister1: We didn't get a chance to say goodbye.
Brock: I know, I'm sorry.
Father: You don't have to apologize. I sent you.
Brock: Father! It's been so long.
Father: How's your adventure been?
Brock: Ash has 7 badges. We couldn't find the eighth gym.
Father: You mean the earth badge? That's in Viridian City.
Brock: It is?
Father: Yes. You can get there by tomorrow afternoon if you left
tomorrow morning.
Brock: That's great but Ash had a little incident.
Father: Really? How is he?
Brock: He'll be all right.
Father: That's good.
Brother1: Brock, tell us about your adventure, please!
Father: Brock should rest now. Maybe he'll tell you tomorrow.
Brothers and Sisters: Awwww...
Morning came and the sun rose brightly. There isn't a cloud in the sky. Brock
wakes up a little late. He leaves his house at about 8AM in a rush to get to
the hospital. When he gets there, he saw Misty, Pikachu, and Togepi still
asleep. He tries to wake them up.
Brock: Misty, Pikachu. Wake up.
Misty: Huh? What's going on.
Brock: It's 8:30. We can see Ash now.
Misty: Ash!
Pikachu: Pika (Ash!)
Togepi: Briii
They run into his room. Ash is still asleep. They rush to his side to see how
he's doing.
Misty: Ash. Wake up.
Ash slowly opens his eyes.
Ash: Misty? Brock? Pikachu?
Pikachu: Pika! (Hurray!)
Togepi: Briii!
Brock: How do you feel Ash?
Ash: I feel all right, why? Where are we?
Brock: You were stung and poisoned by a Beedrill.
Ash: Huh? Oh, I thought that was a dream.
Brock: You're in the Pewter City Hospital now.

Brock: The Beedrill's poison is doing that. You can't feel anything at all.

Brock: It's only temporary but we don't know how long it'll last.

Brock: Right Viridian Forest! We have to go through there anyway! The last gym
is in Viridian City! Let's go find me a girl!

Joy: Well, the doctor said if you felt all right, he would give you one more
test, then let you go.
Ash: Great! Let's go!
Ash slowly gets out of bed. He holds Misty's hand and they rush to the doctor's
office, followed by Brock and Pikachu. Misty is still holding Togepi in her
free hand.
Joy: Wait! He's supposed to come to you. Oh well. There they go.
Nurse Joy is about to leave when she takes one more glance at the bed. She
notices a blood stain on the sheets where Ash's groin was. At first she is
worried, but then she smiles and walks away. "Kids these days," she thinks to
herself.

Having acquired his first seven badges, Ash along with Misty and Brock try to
find the eighth Pokémon gym. Not one of them knows where it is. They decide to
sail from Cinnabar back to Pallet Town to seek the aid of Professor Oak. When
Ash returns to his home town, he makes a quick visit to his mom and then heads
off to Professor Oak's lab. Ash buzzes in from outside the gate.
Oak: Who's there?
Ash: It's me professor, Ash Ketchum.
Oak: Ash? Since when did you become a professor.
Misty and Brock laugh.
Ash: No, I was referring to you.
Oak: Oh. Well in that case, come on in.
Professor Oak unlocks the electronic gates and the three trainers enter his
estate. Once inside, Professor Oak greets them.
Oak: Welcome back to Pallet!
Ash: Hello professor. You remember Brock and Misty don't you?
Oak: Of course I do. Greetings to you both.
Misty & Brock: Nice to see you again Professor.
Oak: Well Ash, how's your journey going?
Ash: See for yourself.
Ash flashes his badges.
Oak: Wow, that's great, but you still need one more to qualify for the
Pokémon league Tournament.
Ash: I know. That's one reason I came back here.
Oak: Oh?
Ash: None of us know where the eighth gym is located.
Oak: I'm sorry Ash, but as an official Pokémon League representative, I
cannot tell you that.
Ash: Ohhh... Does Gary know where it is?
Oak: Last I heard, he was driving around looking for it so I believe it's
safe to assume he doesn't. I can tell you, however, that the eighth badge is
the earth badge.
Ash: Thanks Professor.
Oak: No problem Ash, now what was the other reason you came here?
Ash: Oh, I just wanted to see my Pokémon in person.
Oak: Oh, they're all doing great. Just go through that door.
Ash: Thank you professor.
The three trainers go through the door and find a beautiful artificial jungle.
Misty: Wow Ash! This place is amazing!
Brock: It must be a Pokémon paradise!
Ash: I can't believe I've never seen this place before.

Ash yelling: Krabby, Muk, Tauros, are you here?
Soon enough, Ash's Pokémon come running towards him. All of them are happy to
see him and all try to hug him. Ash releases his other Pokémon and they all
start playing together, except for Charizard. Ash, Misty, and Brock find a
clearing and set up a picnic. Togepi and Pikachu play around them.
Ash: What do we do now? I really wanna get that last badge before Gary.
Misty: I'm tired. Why can't we stay in Pallet for a while?
Ash: Come on Misty! This is really important to me.
Misty: It's not like I'm saying you should stop all together. I just
want to rest a while.
Brock: Calm down you two! You'll disturb the Pokémon!
Ash & Misty: He/She started it! Hmph!
Brock: You know, my dad might know where the eighth gym is. As a gym
leader, he's aloud to tell us stuff like that as long as he doesn't give away
too much info.
Ash: Great! What are we waiting for, let's go!
Misty: Ash! Let's at least eat lunch first!
Ash: Oh yeah, I guess I forgot how hungry I was.
Misty: It's a good thing you had us with you or you'd have Pokémon in
your mind all day and forget to eat, sleep, or even go to the bathroom!
They all have a good laugh. When they finish eating, Ash gathers up his
Pokémon, says goodbye to Professor Oak, and leads his friends out of the
estate. They head to Viridian City. Walking through the forest, Ash, Pikachu,
and Misty replay memories of their first encounters with each other.
Ash: This is where I had to drag Pikachu along because he wouldn't obey me.
Pikachu: Pika pi.
Ash: That's the tree where all the Spearows were before they attacked us.
Pikachu(A little worried): Chu...
Misty: And that's where I was fishing when you stole my bike!
Ash: I knew this would happen if we passed through here again.
Misty: And by the way, you still owe me a new bike!
Ash: I know I know but I don't have enough money yet!
Misty: You should take a break from Pokémon and get a job so you can
pay me back.
Ash: I can't do that!
Misty: Ash you're always thinking of yourself!
Ash: I think about others too!
The argument continues through Viridian City and then to Viridian Forest.
Ash: Why can't you forget about that stupid bike! I'm sick of hearing about
it!
Misty: It wasn't a stupid bike! It was a great bike! And you won't
stop hearing about it until you get me a new one!
Ash: Why should I get you a new one? I let you have Togepi!
Togepi: Briii?
Misty: You didn't let me have Togepi, Togepi chose me!
Ash: That's only because you pushed me and Brock away when it was about to
hatch.
Misty: Well that was a good move because I'm the girl so I'm more
capable of caring than you.
Brock: Sorry to step in but I'm a Pokémon breeder and I think I would
have been the most capable.
Misty: Brock, this is an argument between me and Ash!
Brock: Ewww.....
Ash: And I won the tournament so I should have kept Togepi anyway!
Pikachu: Chu chu pika chu pika! (Please stop fighting!)
Ash: And Pikachu wouldn't even be here if I hadn't stolen your bike!
Misty: You didn't have to total it!
As they continued arguing, they hadn't noticed that their screams were
upsetting the local inhabitants of Viridian Forest. Neither did they notice
that Togepi had been walking away from them. Togepi had never seen Kakunas
before and had moved in for a closer look at one. "Briii toge toge!" it said as
it started to examine one, hands on. This upset the Kakuna and it starts to
glow. Pikachu is the first to spot Togepi.
Pikachu: Pika pi! Kachu pika! (Togepi! Get back here!)
The three trainers turn to look and see Togepi next to an evolving Kakuna.
"Togepi!" Misty screams as she raced towards it. She grabs Togepi and starts to
run just as the Beedrill emerges from the cocoon. "Help us!" Misty screams.
"Pidgeotto, I choose you!" Ash exclaims as he sends out a pokéball. Pidgeotto
flies out awaiting a command.
Ash: Pidgeotto, get that Beedrill! Use your quick attack!
Pidgeotto: Pidgeo!
Just as Pidgeotto approaches Beedrill, Beedrill shoots its pin missiles.
Pidgeotto easily dodges them and overcomes the weak bug. The pin missiles,
however, were not aimed at Pidgeotto. They were aimed at the original
disturbers. Ash spots this in the nick of time. He runs towards Misty and
Togepi screaming, "Get out of the way!" He pushes Misty and sends her rolling
along with her baby Pokémon. Neither Misty nor Togepi are hurt but Ash takes
three pin missiles right in the chest. He almost immediately faints as a result
of the poison stingers.
Misty and Brock: Ash!
Pikachu: Pikachuuuuuu! (Ash!)
Togepi (crying): Briiii! (Mommy!)
They all rush to Ash's side.
Misty: Oh my god! Ash! Wake up!
Ash doesn't respond. He is still unconscious. Brock grabs a Pokémon first-aid
kit out of Ash's bag and uses some tools to pull out the stingers. He exposes
Ash's chest. Misty, Brock, and Pikachu are shocked when they see that Ash's
skin is turning dark purple around the three puncture wounds. Brock looks
through the potion bag and find only a small vial of antidote. He pours it onto
the wounds but because Pokémon generally have stronger immune systems than
humans and the antidote was intended to be used on Pokémon, it barely helps
slow down the spreading.
Misty (hysterically): Ash! You saved me!
Brock: Misty, snap out of it! We have to get Ash to a doctor!
Pikachu: Pika!
Pikachu gently shocks Misty. She snaps to her senses.
Misty: What do we do?
Brock: Pidgeotto return!
Pidgeotto: Pidgeooo! (Please help him!)
Pidgeotto returns to the pokéball. Brock returns the pokéball onto Ash's belt
and sends out his own pokéball.
Brock: Onix come out!
Onic: Roar...
Brock: Onix, help us! Carry Ash to Pewter City! We'll try to keep up.
Onix does as it was told and starts slithering to Pewter City. Misty with
Togepi, Brock, and Pikachu quickly follow behind Onix. When they all arrived to
Pewter City, they head to the Pokécenter.
Joy: Misty, Brock, welcome back!
Brock: Joy! You have to help us!
Joy: What's wrong?
Onix comes in with Ash lying on top of his head.
Joy: What happened to Ash?
Misty: He was stung by a Beedrill!
Joy: This is a Pokécenter. I don't have the supplies to help humans but I'll
do what I can. In the mean time, call an ambulance to pick him up. Chansey,
bring him to the ER!
Chansey: Chansey! (Right away!)
Brock calls the hospital to send over an ambulance while Misty stares at the
glowing operating signal. "He'll be all right. He'll be all right," Misty
repeats to herself. About ten minutes after the ambulance arrives, Nurse Joy
and Chansey rush out wheeling Ash on the bed.
Brock: How'd it go?
Joy: I managed to slow the spread of the poison somewhat more but he needs
to be rushed to the doctors.
Misty: We're going with him.
Misty and Brock wheel Ash the rest of the way to the ambulance. They all enter
the ambulance together, except Joy and Chansey, and ride to the hospital.
Joy: Hang in there Ash! You have to pull though!
When the ambulance arrives at the hospital, the paramedics immediately wheel
Ash into the ER and report the situation to the doctors. Misty tries to follow
them into the ER but is immediately stopped by a paramedic.
Paramedic: I'm sorry. You're not allowed in there.
Brock: Misty, he'll be all right. He's a strong guy and he'll pull
through.
Misty: He did it to save me.
Brock: He's a hero.
Misty: A dumb, foolish hero. My hero.
Misty begins to cry. Brock, Pikachu, and Togepi all try to comfort her.
About two hours have passed when the doors burst open. Misty and Brock
immediately jump up. A doctor goes up to them to explain the situation.
Doctor: There's good news and bad news.
Brock: What's the good news?
Doctor: He's ok and will recover in a day or two. He was lucky that the
stingers hit his breastplate and a rib. The poison didn't reach any of his
vital organs.
Misty: And the bad?
Doctor: Beedrill poison normally affects human nerves the most.
Misty: Meaning?
Doctor: Ash might not have any feeling in his chest for a while.
Brock: That's awful!
Doctor: Normally, Beedrill would completely destroy sensory nerves. However,
the process takes a while and because of the antidote you gave him and the
potion that Joy administered, his nerves have not been affected too badly and
will recover fully.
Brock: That's great then, isn't it?
Doctor: Indeed it is, however, we don't know how long it will take. Your friend
had a very unique situation. It could take hours or maybe even a month.
Brock: Thank you for all your help.
Doctor: That's what I'm here for. You can't disturb him right now but as early
as 7:00 AM tomorrow morning, you'll be allowed to visit him.
Brock: Thanks.
The doctor walks off.
Brock: Did you hear that Misty? He'll be as good as new in no time.
Misty: He'll be all right. He'll be all right.
Brock: Why don't we go back to my house? We'll come back in the morning.
Misty: No, I want to be here so I can visit him as soon as possible.

Brock: I know, I'm sorry.
Father: You don't have to apologize. I sent you.
Brock: Father! It's been so long.
Father: How's your adventure been?
Brock: Ash has 7 badges. We couldn't find the eighth gym.
Father: You mean the earth badge? That's in Viridian City.
Brock: It is?
Father: Yes. You can get there by tomorrow afternoon if you left
tomorrow morning.
Brock: That's great but Ash had a little incident.
Father: Really? How is he?
Brock: He'll be all right.
Father: That's good.
Brother1: Brock, tell us about your adventure, please!
Father: Brock should rest now. Maybe he'll tell you tomorrow.
Brothers and Sisters: Awwww...
Morning came and the sun rose brightly. There isn't a cloud in the sky. Brock
wakes up a little late. He leaves his house at about 8AM in a rush to get to
the hospital. When he gets there, he saw Misty, Pikachu, and Togepi still

Brock: It's 8:30. We can see Ash now.

They run into his room. Ash is still asleep. They rush to his side to see how
he's doing.

Ash slowly opens his eyes.
Ash: Misty? Brock? Pikachu?
Pikachu: Pika! (Hurray!)

Brock: How do you feel Ash?
Ash: I feel all right, why? Where are we?
Brock: You were stung and poisoned by a Beedrill.
