Blood Brothers

By the time I got there, the last train had left, that was the week they would close for an emergency stop, but I didn't know. My Absol and I, decided to walk the tracks ,which were gated off for public safety, instead of waiting for the morning. My Absol was the only thing close to family I knew, my family had apparently died before I was born and I had no siblings. I was living in an orphanage where no one liked me,  and I wanted a Pokèmon, badly. I had eventually found a pokèball when Absol suddenly appeared, not too long after, and I had caught him so easily, it was almost as if he let me. He became my only family, and I decided to go on a Pokèmon journey. I lost his Pokèball soon after I caught him though.

Some other guy decided to follow me onto the tracks.

"Hey, you a trainer too?" he said as he caught up.

"Yeah, I'm Gavin, you?"

"Nice to meet you, I'm Dan. Hey, your Absol, does he
have a nickname?"

"No, so where are you headed?"

"Me? To the next stop, how about you?"

"Stop after that."

"That's nice."

"So, your Absol, how long have you had it?"

"Him? I've had him as long as I can remember... We are best friends, and he's my only Pokèmon."

"That so? I catch as many Pokèmon as I can, they are all are my friends especially my Servine." he says as he sends out his Servine. His Servine seemed to not like him much, but then he obeyed Dan's every command, saying "Servine" or "vine" after every command Dan issued, to show off.

"I only need my Absol, I've known him long enough that we can look at each other and know what we're thinking."

Absol then gave me that "shut up before you say something stupid" look, either that or it was his "You didn't need to say that" look, either way, I got the message.

I then said "So, Dan, how long have you been training?"

"Not too long, not all my Pokèmon obey my command though, so Servine is special."

Obviously if only one obeys his commands then he's not a very good trainer. I thought. Dan returned Servine to its pokèball for the rest of the walk.

We were both unaware that we would not reach our destinations. Because about an hour later we found trouble.

"Hey, Gavin," Dan said "what's that ahead?"

I could hardly see, I sent Absol to scout ahead, when he came back he said, panicked, "Sol-Absol!"

"What Absol, is it a train?"

"Ab" he nodded as we ran toward it. It was a disaster, the train was a wreck, the gate to our left was split, and opened to the forrest, as if something had come through and destroyed the train. I started toward the opening.

"Are you seriously going to go out there?" Dan asked

"Yes, if we don't we may never get there within the month.

He hesitates then follows me, he didn't seem comfortable going where something else had just been. "I know I'm going to regret this but I have no choice," Dan mumbled. If I had listened to him.... I'll save that thought for later.

"Well, this is going very well." Dan said sarcastically.

"You're a downer aren't you?" I said.

"I'm just concerned that something might happen..." He said.

All of a sudden a creature attacks us from the bushes, it moved too fast for me to see its figure but it also knocked us out, and set free all of Dan's Pokèmon.

I awoke to see Dan standing as if ready to catch a Pokèmon, and Absol was nowhere to be seen.

"So where's the Pokèmon Dan?"

Ignoring me, he starts talking to himself "Well, you look strong, I knew that something bad would happen, but to me, not this time, I'M the fortunate one, your Absol brought you bad luck. This will be an easy catch!" that last he yelled as he sent out the only Pokèmon that didn't run away, his Servine, surprisingly.

I quickly realized, I was the Pokèmon, but only half with Absol's head-blade on mine, white hair over my body, and instead of white hair like what's on the head of an Absol, it was black like my old hair. Dan understood me, but was too focused on catching me, he had ignored me. I tried running but his Servine quickly blocked my path. *You're not getting away!* Servine yelled.

What're you doing Gavin? You know my attacks! I swear I heard Absol, but I didn't know where he was. If you don't I will! I lost control of myself. My body attacks the Servine with a very powerful... Hyper Beam? I realized then what happened, I became one with Absol. I regained control, just as Dan decided to throw the Pokèball because he had run out of other options.

It was dark, I struggled within the ball... it's hold was strong, probably an Ultraball. Although it was strong, I broke free quickly, and easily. The moment I was free, I just ran, much faster than I had ever run. It didn't matter where as long as long as it was away from him.

Absol? Are you there? I thought.

Took you long enough... Stop thinking and start heading toward that cave, we can talk there He said.

Alright A little confused from his response, I didn't know that he was in my head. He was talking about the cave under the stump ahead. Dan, hopefully, gave up on me. I hid in the cave. Luckily my bag was undamaged it had some matches, I pulled them out and lit one. It wasn't very deep, and I pulled out some magazines to burn and lit them with what was left of the match.

So, how did we get this way?

I don't know, and this is stranger than anything I've ever seen.

So, do you remember the shape of what attacked us?

Sorry, Gavin, whatever you remember is what I remember.

How did you know to tell me to attack?

I figured that out the moment you talked to Dan, and when I noticed I had no control over, what is now, our body.

So now I've seen what it's like being in a Pokèball, and I have to run from a fellow trainer.

Just a reminder, you aren't a trainer anymore, so Dan is now an enemy. You haven't seen it when it's lit up from being caught, and I don't plan on seeing those again.

I guess you're right, I yawn like I hadn't slept for days. I think we need some rest.

You think? We've had a long day. I guess I'll hear you later.

-----------

We had a dream, together, because we were the same now. In the dream I was myself and Absol was beside me, just like it used to be. "Well at least we're separate in our dreams." He said.

"Yeah, I get to see who I'm talking to, rather than think to myself." I said.

"Well this was a success," a voice came out of nowhere echoing as if the sound was bouncing off chasm walls "Let me introduce myself, I am Lugia." He appeared out of nowhere, looking nothing like Lugia the Pokèmon, except the wings spurting from his back, but other than that he was human, human arms, legs, wearing nothing, so the blue hairs on his head (and everywhere else for that matter) were obvious.

"Are you named after the beast?" Absol said, although his head twitched a bit as he asked it, he had never done that before.

"What was a success?!" I asked.

"No, he's named after me, and you were the success. You see, we, the gods, were looking for a new hope, there is a scientist using his technology to make Pokèmon more and more powerful, eventually more powerful than even us. Only you can do it, one gifted with a portion of the gods power."

"Wait, GODS? Power?!" I asked.

"Where is this 'scientist' you mentioned?" Absol asked.

"Please one at a time. Yes, the gods saw your relationship as stronger than most, you communicated without speaking, so the gods decided to lend some of their power to you, but the body of a single Pokèmon couldn't hold it, and two Pokèmon don't work well enough together to use it without great consequences, so you two were chosen to stop that menace, if he succeeds, the universe is at hand. He is not far from you. Once you wake, it's up to you to stop him. But beware, if that fool 'Dan' catches you, you may be weak to the scientists tricks!"

"Why can't you do it?" I asked.

"How do you use this power? It seemed like when I attacked, I was at my old power." Absol asked.

"This is a very delicate situation, if we intervene, we might end up helping him by powering his machine, we need someone who can destroy it without risking using too much power. That is for you to learn, not for I to tell you."

"There's such a thing? Never mind." I said "Well if the gods ask that, then we have no choice, will we be separated at the end?"

"That I cannot answer, but I do have in mind a reward for you." Sounded more to me like he didn't want to answer....

"Why can't we meet in person?" I asked.

"I cannot come at will to a person, I have duties to attend to, you shall wake very soon."

Suddenly a wind blew, cherry blossoms flying everywhere, and with that, he vanished.

---------------

We talked to Lugia more in our dreams, learning that his full name is Lugia Nakayama (the other Lugia getting the name due to his wings) and that we were a days (without sleep) run from the lab (Absol took control of our body every hour and I would every other one) , he still refuses to answer my questions, as though he wants to keep something a secret. I would dream every time he was in control, as did he when I was, we didn't always meet with Lugia. One time I had a dream that Absol and I were separate again, it seemed so real I wanted it so bad that I believed it, but how could I forget that dreams don't tell the future.

Here we are, Absol announced.

Well I should take over.

Just as I thought, cameras and security everywhere. How are we getting... my thought interrupted by a thud and a sound like a Pokèball returning it's Pokèmon.

"Didn't know I could find a bird Pokèmon so fast did you?" I knew that voice, and instantly dodged a Pokèball flying at me and turned to face Dan.

"You missed, moron."

"No," I turned to face another Pokèmon, a Lucario.... How did he get these Pokèmon so fast? Something was wrong... his Lucario looked very strong... but how did it get so strong in the first place? "You won't escape this time! The Professor gave me these and so I won't lose to a wimp like you."

The professor?

Could he...

*I will protect doctor Ueda, and Master Dan at all costs!* Lucario said it as if he was a robot programed to say it. The Lucario charged at me without warning and hit me with a Force Palm so hard I was quickly up against a tree.

"Doctor Ueda?" I asked after regaining my breath.

"Yes, he told me that he has Pokèmon so strong that the Elite Four would buy them!"

I quickly tried to hit the Lucario with a night slash, it missed. I tried hitting him several times before he knocked me against a tree again. Feeling almost too weak to run I didn't know what to do. That's when it happened. He threw another Ultraball at me, he hit. While inside the ball I felt as though I was done for sure. Suddenly a wave of indescribable energy came over me, screaming was all we could do. The wave of energy building I thought I would have no release. I released it so violently that I obliterated the ball. I had discovered how to use the power: concentrate my anger into myself. I did this again to knock out the Lucario, and to restrain Dan, as my power died down I walked over to him and said. "So, what did Ueda tell you?"

"He's expecting you, he wanted me to bring the descendants of Lugia Nakayama to him." he said "He told me to tell them the cameras are already disabled."

Descendants?

Of Lugia's? something was odd about Absol's voice this time, but I couldn't exactly tell what it was.

Well we need in there so I guess we might find out when we do.

"We're in a hurry, so we'll finish you later!" I said

"We?"

"I meant me. I'm in a hurry!" I ran toward the building, just as he said the cameras were disabled, he was expecting us, but who are these "Descendants?" he talked about, only one way to find out... Force it out of Dr. Ueda!

We entered, the place was filled with scientific equipment, from microscopes, to lasers, to a mysterious machine in the back. A man stood at the back, a lab coat long black hair, with his back to us, Dr. Ueda. "Ahhh... I've been expecting you..." he yelled, as he turned around to us, "But I expected there would be three of you."

"How do you know us?" the next words weren't me, Absol had obviously forced them out of my lips, "How do you know Lugia? And who are his descendants?"

"Aaahhhhh.... I see there are two, and you are both here, but in the same body, then where is the other... I'll answer your questions, but you must help me a little by answering mine. I've known since your birth. I'm assuming you mean Lugia Nakayama... Yes, he came to me the day of your birth. Why, you're his descendants. Now my questions, did he come to you by dream? Have you ever wondered why you can't remember your parents? And, have you come to stop me? I can answer two of those myself, you're lucky. Yes, by dream, and yes you've come to stop me, he can't interfere with human actions, now answer it."

He said WE are his descendants? I thought we had an unusually strong relationship, but brothers?! And there is another?

I don't believe it either. his voice wavered a little, as though lying.

"Yes but, how did you know I didn't?"

"You see, he didn't want you to know, he's your father and your brother is an Absol, you would never believe, being an orphan was the only thing that you ever knew, no parents, no siblings, however, Absol, you knew didn't you? You knew all along, fighting to find him, giving into capture, protecting him until the end, he knew YOU'D believe, but a human wouldn't. What's worse to you two? Finding out your father's a god? The fact that one knew but didn't tell you? Or that you have to kill the one that can answer all your questions?"

How could you never tell me?

I thought you wouldn't understand, But I didn't know there’s three of us!

It hurt, all of it. I couldn't help but get angry. I was full to the brim with rage. All of which I was fighting for was lies, the one who protected me was a liar, and I had been standing in front of the worst part of it, the person who wanted to kill my father, of whom I'd just learned was my father. I felt it again, pure energy flowing.

------------

Unfortunately Gavin doesn't remember the rest of what happened in the lab, so I, Damion (to him Absol because I had forgotten to tell him my name), will tell the rest of it.

Gavin was using the powers again, but I tried to stop him, but the last time he didn't hear me when I tried to talk to him, and it was impossible to take control when he was in a rage, Dr. Ueda was tricking him into powering his machine, but I couldn't stop him. Then, the machine Ueda was wanting us to power, raised up! Gavin was using the powers to lift it!

"Don't think I'm falling for that trick, I know what you're up to you bastard! Just try to trick me into charging that infernal device!" He knew! I was surprised, I thought he was going to accidentally fire energy into the device. Ueda picked up something, I couldn't tell from this distance what it was, but I thought that it couldn't hurt us, but I was wrong. It was a Pokèball, inside was a Raichu. He called it out.

"Raichu thunderbolt!" Ueda commanded.

*Yes master,* it said. Raichu took a stance raised its tail and directed an unimaginable amount of electricity at us. The electricity was too fast to dodge, yet it seemed as if it was heading at us for hours. Suddenly it hit our lungs, they felt as thought all of the electricity was concentrated at them. Gavin collapsed, as the machine dropped onto its side, and Ueda began to walk. The burning worsening with every breath as Ueda approached us, with Raichu closely following. I thought for sure, that with how much it hurt, and how breathing began bringing less air into our lungs, that we were going to die. "You would have made a perfect specimen, too bad your mind was corrupt." the last words of Ueda infuriated me beyond belief. I felt energy pulse through my body.

Is this the feeling you had? I was concentrating my emotions as hard as possible, in hopes to find strength to kill Ueda. I felt my lungs return to normal. How is that possible? Quickly I noticed, because I had been protecting him for so long, his powers were for attacking, but mine were for healing and protecting him, not to kill, I kept my emotions concentrated, as Gavin rose and lifted the machine over Ueda again, and began uttering what seemed like nonsense.

"How did you survive? A shock that powerful to the lungs would have killed anything!" Ueda yelled.

"That is for us to know, and you to never find out." I said with Gavin (simultaneously). Raichu began launching more thunder bolts at us, I was able to redirect them at Ueda, another power I learned I had, and electrocuting him with power we had survived. Ueda was dead upon contact with the electricity, now his skin was black, clothes almost completely destroyed, and the Pokèball Raichu had been in was destroyed. Raichu had run off, yelling about how he had accidentally killed his master.

--------------

I awoke from my trance. By the time I awoke, I had apparently I decimated the building to "prevent any others from finding it and using it's evils" according to Absol. Ueda's body, lying in the middle of the field as black as can be, he had been dead for quite a while, Absol didn't want to describe what had just happened.... yet. Dan had escaped, when we had nearly died, it was for the best too.

As I look up to the moon high in the sky, a hand touched my shoulder. "Good job, son," it was Lugia, for once I had met my father in person rather than in a dream, "now, I want to tell you, I've always been proud of you, even though I never told you I was your father. I want you to know that I had to put you and your brother together to help you understand, and Ueda had acted up at the perfect time. Now I shall separate you two as you wished."

"I don't want to, I feel I've come close to Gavin now since we've started." Absol said.

"I guess if Gavin agrees." father said

"I agree with Absol." I said

"You mean Damion, that's his name, didn't he tell you?"

Seems I forgot.

"No, but finally I know my brothers name. Oh, what was that that attacked us in the forest?"

"That was another one of your siblings, but she has been watching you two from afar."

"Wait she? There are others? Ueda mentioned her then,

how many are there? Where is she?!"

" Yes, seven. I don't know where she is right now, but, believe me, Wherever you are, she's bound to be near. I would like you to find the others and protect them, just as you two have protected each other."

"One more question father, was she also the one who attacked the train?"

"No, she fought something, and accidentally let a blast of energy go too close to the train. Unfortunately, whatever she was fighting, destroyed the train more after she did that. I must be going, remember, if you ever need me, I will be in your dreams." He vanished as he said those last words.

We decided to do as he said, look for those relatives, seek more answers, and hope that we can keep protecting each other and any others we meet along the way, but for now, we rest, until the sun rises in the morning. As I slept I knew, from that day on, that I was no longer alone, I had a father, a sister, and a brother, whom will always protect me, as I shall them.

Interesting idea, I like this story! I'll be looking forwards to your next chapters or stories! Though... I wish there was a way to reduce the spacing... it really annoys me when I read...

Well, for a first timer...I suppose this is excusible. I in no way am bashing your work, so make sure you know that.

The story barely made any sense, as none of the characters were introduced very "properly".
As for the characters themselves, you didn't give very much detail as to their personalities and nature. Which really helps give a reader a better perspective of them.
Your grammar wasn't very good either as your biggest issue was your sentence structure. Plus you misused words as well.

Overall, I'm kind of dissapointed. But I'm glad when I look at your writing now to see you've improved a great deal.
