Chapter 15: Together we stand!



The next morning I awakened with a slight anxiety coursing through me for some reason. It's as if something was waiting for me, but I didn't know what it was. Rolling over to my right side I could feel someone next to me. I could tell who it was simply because of the warmth emanating from her. My vision wasn't fixed all the way, but I could tell that it was Kelly.

The familiar scent of her shampoo coming from her hair smelled divine. It was something any man who is a man would want to wake up to. I didn't want to wake up to soon and disturb her from her rest especially after what happened last night. I closed my eyes to think about what she could look like at this moment.

I decided to just snuggle in closer to her and breathe in more of her scent. I noticed that the warmth coming from her was now beginning to turn into a hotter sensation. I think she must be embarrass or something.

Now starting to flicker my eyes a bit I said, "Come on baby it's not like it's the first time we've been this close before.”

I waited for a moment to hear her reply, but when nothing came I just assumed that she was still asleep or something. Though I've been sleeping with Kelly for a while now and I know that she is a light sleeper. Something wasn't right...and I decided to pull the covers backwards. What I saw all most made me jump out of the window.

A pair of crimson red eyes stared at me as if expecting something. I almost fell out of the bed, but I stumbled over something before I fully came out.

"Ugh! What the hell is going on?” I could hear a familiar voice.

"Brian?!” I yelled in complete surprise.

"Yeah what?” He said annoyed I could tell that he was still groggy and cranky.

What I didn't understand about all this is that if he's lying here...who the hell is lying to my right? Pulling the cover back off of the person I thought was Kelly, the thing that was running through my mind was that I must have cheated on her. My mind began to think about a thousand excuses of how I could apologize to her.

Once the covers were fully back I could see who it was...and my anxiety instantly faded. It was Ruption lying right next to me with a towel of Kelly's wrap around his neck. He was staring at me with a slight smirk on his face.

"Oh you think it's funny huh?” While underneath the covers I began to cock my legs back and gather my strength. With one leg pointed toward Brian who was now trying to sit up and rub the sleepiness out of his eyes, and the other toward Ruption who seem like he didn't want to move. I made sure my legs were at their peak of strength build up before I unleashed my attack.

Once that I felt that it was ready, I kicked out forcefully with both of my legs, pushing both Brian and Ruption out of the bed. Unfortunately the bed was up against the wall on Brian's side so it only caused him to smash his face up against the wall. Ruption on the other hand made a grunt of surprise as he was forced out of the bed. Upon hitting the ground roughly I could hear him quickly scrambling to his feet.

Once Ruption was able to steady himself he let out an annoying hiss, but stopped once he saw the look on my face. I was up for no games and wanted to know why the hell I was spooning with my brother and my Pokémon!

"Brandon if you don't explain what the HELL is going on with you, I just might be willing to not kill you!” Brian yelled.

Jumping from my bed I landed on my feet next to Ruption, who was now taking a long stretch and was rearing up on his haunches. I took my index finger and pointed towards Brian and said, "What am I doing lying next to you and Ruption! I almost had dream sex with him...”

"Oh so you're into Pokémon now?” I heard a familiar voice coming from behind me.

I turned around to see that it was Kelly standing at the entrance of the doorway with Diamond at her side. Both of them had concerned/confused looks on their faces, (By the way is a very hard face to read.)

"Huh? Wha-what are you two doing with each other? Okay someone explain to me what happened last night?!” I said becoming slightly enraged and annoyed. The last I checked last night I came into the center with both Diamond and Ruption. I first went to the rooms where we were sleeping last night. I remember both Diamond and Ruption were still with me, but when I entered the room I immediately went to sleep.

"Dude you seriously don't remember what happened last night?” Brian asked.

"I wouldn't be asking so many questions if I did!”

Brian then threw his legs over the edge of the bed while saying, "First off lower your voice we're right here. Secondly you didn't rape Ruption if that's what you're thinking.”

"Okay then tell me this, why does Ruption smell like Kelly?”

Brian then stood out of the bed with a nice long stretch, he then reached down reached down towards the bed head and pulled a towel from where we were sleeping. "Kelly's shower didn't work in her room last night, so she used the one in ours.” He said with a sigh then turned to look at Kelly, "I guess you must have left your towel in here.”

Kelly just gave a simple shrug, and then my gaze ran down towards Diamond that was standing near Kelly's side. "Ok, why is Diamond with you?” I asked.

"The air conditioner in my room didn't work so I asked Brian here if I could borrow her for the night.” She said adding a slight sigh at the end.

"I'm sure that you would want Ruption and Diamond to spend an entire night with each other. Isn't that right girl.” Brian said teasing Diamond.

If I wasn't so sure that Diamond didn't have any emotions I could have sworn that she was blushing. Ruption had a triumphant smirk on his face. I could faintly hear Diamond mutter something under her breath, though it could have just been her breathing. She began to looking around the room for some reason, I decided not to pay any mind to her.

"How did I end up spooning with you two?” I said pointing towards Brian and Ruption with my index finger, waving back and forward between the two of them.

Brian sighed slightly and retorted, "You banged on my door last night talking about how you couldn't get into your room. You just ran into my bed and past out along with Ruption and Diamond.”

"Yeah that was my bad I actually woke up when you knocked on the door, but you were already in Brian's room when I opened the door.” She let out a cute yawn then continued, "That's when I realized that I needed an air conditioner I was doing more sweating, than I would after a night with you.” She added jokingly. "Anyway I figured that I could borrow Diamond from Brian before he went back to sleep, so that she could cool the room off some.”

"Well whatever I don't care anymore,” I said walking over to Kelly trying to give her a kiss, but she blocked my face with her hand.

"It may be okay with you to kiss people with a yuck mouth, but it's not ok with me. Restroom now mister.” She said teasingly. Reaching up on her tip toes she planted a small kiss on my face.

I smiled at her and nodded. Turning around to see Brian and Ruption standing near each other making fake gagging noises. I gave Brian a stern look and stopped him, Ruption stopped as well though I'm sure that it was Diamond who was backing me up. Ruption probably would have stopped if I told him to do so, but he did it on his own, though I couldn't see why I can safely assume that it was Diamond that stopped him. I started making my way towards the restroom just before I walked away from Kelly she patted me on the butt. I just shook my head with a giggle.

After an hour of cleaning up and getting dress Brian, Kelly, and I were ready to get going. Brian and I had both recalled Diamond and Ruption back into their ball's before we left. We figured that they'd been out enough for one newly formed relation.

We began to make our way out of the hospital; Kelly had a smile plastered on her face. Brian and I just remained nonchalant about everything atleast till we made it outside.

"Wait! Hold on!” We heard someone yelling from behind us. Turning to see that it was Nurse Joy rushing towards the door catching up to us. "Here I have something for you young lady.” She said holding something up for Kelly.

Kelly took a step forward to intercept the nurse and held out her hand. The nurse placed a small golden pin in her palm. Kelly pulled it back towards her person to examine it closer; I noticed that her eyes lit up like Ruption when he's mad.

"What is that?” I asked getting sick of the anticipation of her response.

"H-how...but...I shouldn't.” She said stuttering her words out in a random fashion.

"No worries dear.” The nurse said with a smile growing on her face. "The brother trio woke up this morning and said that if anyone deserved that badge it's you.”

With a sudden burst of excitement Kelly jumped into the air with a loud squeal of joy. She was so happy that she ran up to the nurse and hugged her as well. The nurse also let out a squeak in surprise from the sudden burst of excitement.

I walked over to Kelly who was still holding the nurse, and patted her on the shoulder. She had her eyes closed, but opened them when she realized what she was doing her face turned red from embarrassment. She immediately let go of her and turned back to face me, she was rubbing the back of her head, "Umm...sorry about that,” she took a couple of step towards Brian and then turned back adding, "Thank you. And could you tell the brother that as well, and also sorry.”

"Of course, you all have a wonderful day!” The Nurse said as we walked away from her.

As we made our way further and further away from the Center and closer towards the edge of the town. We chatted a bit as we neared our destination, just about what if Diamond was to get pregnant what kind of Pokémon it would be. I personally would like to see another little Cyndaquil hopefully taking after his father, but Brian would like a Eevee, simply because of the idea of having another Eon seem appealing to him.

"So what kind of Training are we doing today professor?” I said changing subject.

"Today ladies and gentlemen we shall be going to Accumula Town!” He said taking a few steps in front of us; he took a majestic bow towards Kelly and me. "We shall 'not' battle this time.”

I jerked my head back in surprise and looked towards Kelly. She only gave a simply shrug when her eyes met my gaze. "What do you mean not battle this time?”

"Actually, what I said.” He said straitening himself. "Do you not speak English anymore?”

I was now beginning to become annoyed about his smart-ass attitude. Now I really wanted to battle him and wipe the floor with him. Even though honestly I need to get better for father once we meet him in Nuvema town. I just huffed and turned away from him and pretended not to be paying him any attention.

"Anyway I don't feel like battling at the moment.” He said with a long sigh. "Actually I just want to talk.” I could tell that he was mainly directing the statement towards Kelly, but I wasn't going to say anything about it.

"Oookay...what was it you want to talk about?” Kelly said as we all started making our way out of the city and into the forest.

Brian didn't say anything for a while he just continued walking through the forest he seemed to have a lot on his mind. I guess he really didn't want to battle anymore today, he didn't really seem like himself and that was starting to cause some concern to me.

After twenty minutes of none stop walking and silence I continued to wait for Brian to say something, while he was stalling for time. Kelly finally broke the ice by saying, "Well what's the deal with the two of you anyway?”

Brian stopped since he was the one in front of us, Kelly and I just continued walking until we caught up to him. He had a confused look on his face, as if he just got robbed and didn't know what happened. He was staring dead ahead looking into nothingness, I decided to wave my hand in front of him to see if that would snap him out of his weird daze.

"Huh-what?”

"Hey you okay? Kelly just asked a question.” I said growing concerned and a little creep out about his behavior.

"Oh yeah well...” He said masking his voice in a way to catch my attention. I guess he didn't want to explain to her that he didn't want to talk about it.

Though I really didn't mind after all, Kelly did tell us about her past it's only fair if we were to do the same. But to be sensitive to my brother I just better be vague with what I answer to her.

"So what do you want to know?” I asked just so we won't drag things out.

"Like you guys' entire deal like what are the two of you doing why are we doing this?” She said stopping in front Brian, I stopped beside her. "I mean know you two have a father, but what's he like? How you two were, when you guys were younger?”

"Oh that...well, Brian?” I motioned at him questionable silently asking him if he wanted me to answer her. I got the feeling he didn't really want me telling Kelly about our personal lives without his permission.

He gave me a slight nod, but then looked out in the direction as if he didn't want to be a part of the conversation.

"Umm...where do I start?” I said not sure how she wanted me to begin.

"When you guys were kids, where did ya'll grow up from?” She said sounding really anxious, but then corrected her tone. "Just saying I want to know that's all. I mean I sleep with you...”

Once she said that I knew that she had a point, so with a slight shrug I begun by saying, "Well we grew up in an orphanage in the Johto.”

Her eyes widen with surprise, "What?! I thought you guys have a father?”

"We're adopted Kelly...Haven't you notice that we don't really talk about our parents, that's because we don't have any.” I placed my hand on my chin and rubbed on it slightly.

"So you're similar to me then...” She said walking closer to me and then hugged me gently around the waist. She then kissed me gently on the cheek she looked up to me with a smile. I could tell that she was sympathizing with me rather than patronizing me. She released me and slowly made her way over to Brian, who was actually looking towards the two us the entire time. When she made it over to him she held out her arms, looking at this made me feel somewhat awkward.

Brian looked at her confused. I could tell that he was uncomfortable as well, but the two of us really don't outwardly display our emotions. Only through battles do we actually display our love and dislikes for each other. I decided that it'll just be a better idea to just get it over with, so I just nodded to him to hug her.

He complied and gave back the small embrace. When he hugged her I could actually see how just mentioning the subject really affected him. I know we never knew our parents, but I would never let it get to me personally. I mean can't miss what I never had right?

As she began to let him go I notice that he tried to maintain his grip on her. If I didn't know any better I think he wants human companionship just as bad as I did. I think he just very difficult way of showing it. I guess the fruit doesn't really fall to far from the tree, the thought of Diamond entered my mind, and I chuckled lightly.

"I'm sorry Brian if you don't to talk about its fine, we can talk about something else.” She said talking to Brian even though I was the one who was telling the story.

"No, it's okay Kelly. This need to be heard by someone else other than the two of us amongst each other.” He said stepping away from her and closer to me, then taking a deep sigh a relief. "Though it does feel good to let things out every now and then you know?”

"Yeah.” She agreed nodding.

I gave a slight nod towards Brian and continued by saying, "Well, Brian and I we never separate from each other. He's had my back and I'll always have his, though he can try my patients...”

"Brandon!” He retorted loudly.

"Okay, Okay...anyway like I said we grew up in an orphanage for most if not all of our lives, and let's just say we weren't the most liked boys there.” I said with a bit of regret in my voice. "Not sure why, but we really didn't take any shit from anyone there. The staff that ran the place was all good people, just very shallow if you know what I mean.”

She nodded and then beckoned me to continue.

I then tilted my head forward in the direction towards town signaling them to follow suit as we continued our conversation. We made our way in the deeper part of the forest, before I continued, "So, back to what I was saying.” I said trying to remember where I had left off. "Oh, yeah things were going pretty good for a while, but then someone had to go find their first Pokémon...and then turn into a big head hot shot.” The way that that came out of my mouth sounded like an insult more than a recollection of the past.

"Yeah, I know good times, right?” He said sarcastically.

Ignoring him I gave a small leap over a rock to pretend like I didn't hear him. Kelly was following right behind me and gave a small leap over the rock as well. She had actually tripped over it and stumbled forward into my back where I had landed. I stumbled forward a bit myself, but manage to catch myself. I gave a slight chuckle from the thought.

Slightly turning to my side I grabbed Kelly around her waist and pulled her closer to me. She let out a light giggle as I went on saying, "Moving right along with the story, I couldn't be the only one of us without a Pokémon so I went out and captured one myself.” I didn't want to tell her how I really met Ruption and what I did to his home.

"Yeah you did Brandon...” I could hear Brian's smug remark coming from behind us.

Very slyly I reached behind my head with a free hand and rested it there, as if I were scratching my head. It was so that Kelly didn't see what I was doing with my hands, and that was giving Brian the bird. He was really now starting to get on my nerves with his extra comments that weren't needed. I wasn't going to show how I really felt in front Kelly and ruin this whole relaxing walk from me.

I then heard a very smug laugh come from behind me. Once again ignoring him I continued, "We basically grew up in that orphanage until we were about twelve or thirteen. That's when we met our adopted father he was looking for a suitable kid to take his place on the throne of his company.”

She gave a short gasp in surprise and suddenly stopped. "Wait, you know within this last week of us knowing each other Brandon, and Brian...I never knew what you guys' last names were?”

We both laughed lightly at the surprised sudden comment and reaction, and then in unison we both said, "We're the Silver Brothers.”
