Chapter 13 - Escape

I felt really bad when I came too. My head was spinning, my arms and legs felt like they'd been encased in cement, and my heart was beating painfully hard in my chest. That was the second time I'd been knocked out in the few days I'd known Eve. And once again I found myself tied down when I awoke. Rather than ropes this time, there were several leather straps securely fastening my legs to the ones on the chair. My arms where bound behind the back of the seat. There were more straps there, tied so tight that the dug into my skin a little; more wider ones went around my torso to make sure I couldn't move at all. This was a little different that when that crazy professor tied me down. Whoever did this didn't seem to want me to get up for a long time. It would even take them a long time to untie all this.

I waited until my vision cleared before taking a look around the room. It didn't look like another lab, thank goodness. It was a small room-a little stuffy, but otherwise pretty cozy. It had a nice red carpet with a single bed that had covers to match. There was a small bookshelf in one corner, along with a mini-fridge. Seeing that, I guessed I was in some hotel room. That was good. At least I was still somewhere in Vermillion City. But then I noticed the scenery outside the window. Although it was dark, I should have seem some kind of lighting from nearby buildings. Instead, all I saw was a cloudy night sky; and the light from the moon and stars that were visible shone down on water. A lot of water. Way too much for us to be anywhere near land. Either I was mistaken and I just had a nice view of the ocean from a hotel room, or I was somewhere at sea. Judging by the nausiated sensation in my heightened senses, I was guessing it was the latter. I had to be somewhere aboard a ship.

Worse than that, Team Auro was the reason I was here. Whatever they planned on doing with me, I had no choice but to go along with it while I was tied down like this. They'd probably keep me locked up like this the whole trip. Undoubtedly, they stripped me of my gear and my pokeballs, leaving me nothing by my clothes. I couldn't begin to imagine where they were being kept, not to mention where they were holding Eve. Poor Eve. She probably felt as miserable as I did from being apart from each other. I had to get out of here. I had to find her and my Pokemon. Bit and Dusty were in bad shape. Who knew how long they'd actually last like that. I should've known better than to try something foolish like taking on a gym leader with my current skills. All that and all I did was totally screw us all over. I didn't have anything to show for it either. Team Auro stole the gym badges I'd collected so far too.

Fern...that conniving bitch...I should've never trusted her. I wondered what else she had lied about. Was that crazy professor really her uncle? No, that had to be true. They had too much in common not to be related. I could even see a little bit of a resemblence in her. I think it was the ears or the nose. But if she was really with Team Auro and not him, who in the world did he want me to hand Eve off to in the first place? Maybe they were both working for them. Or maybe he was with another organization. Or maybe...

I let out and agonized groan. My head was killing me and all this thinking wasn't helping. Whatever I'd been drugged with must have still been running through my system. I felt almost completely disoriented, but at least I had the focus and strength to hold my head somewhat steady and see straight. How could Fern think of using this stuff on Eve? That Eevee-girl was too sweet to try anything crazy. It was totally unnecessary to try drugging her.

The noise I made seemed to have alerted somebody else in the room with me. "Oh, you're finally awake." said a voice coming somewhere behind me off to my left. It was Fern. If I wasn't tied down and sedated like this, I don't know what I might've done to her. That's probably why she did it too-so she could have a chance to say whatever she wanted. My hazy mind recalled her saying something about having a talk.

"You really need to relax." Her voice sounded a lot closer now- right behind my head. I flinched a little when her fingers slid lightly over my shoulders and massaged them lightly. For once those stronger sensations I had felt put me at a disadvantage. Her touch was soothing and it did calm me down a little bit more in my sedated state. "That's better." she said quietly, draping her tanned arms around my shoulders. Her lips brushed lightly against my ear as she whispered into it. "The more you struggle and don't relax, the longer it'll take for that drug to run through your system."

I tilted my head slightly away from her face. I was completely disgusted with her right now. My voice felt a little raspy when I spoke, but I was still able to say what I wanted to. "You lied to us."

"Yes. Yes, I did lie." Fern replied quietly. Despite how much I resented her, she still kept her tone down and tried to coax whatever resistance I could muster away. What she was calming me down for I don't know what. I was already tied down, what could I do? "I didn't really have to do much though, boyscout. You're too kind of your own good. If it helps any, I'm sure that Staryu is grateful for what you did though."

"Where's Eve? Where are we?"

"Don't worry, lover-girl's fine. She's very special to us, so we'll make sure nothing happens to her. As for where we are, we're aboard the S.S. Anne, on our way to Johto."

"...and what about me? You could have just gotten rid of me and done whatever you wanted with her. Why am I here?"

Fern fell silent for a moment. I could feel one of her hands slide from my shoulders and run across my chest. "You've been showing so much promise lately. You could say we're curious."

"Promise?" I glanced down at her hand and tried to move away from it. Being tied down as I was though, I could hardly move. Still, Fern felt me tense against her hand and simply pressed it more firmly to my chest, starting to rub in slow circles that calmed me down even more. Even without the drugs, it felt way too nice. A lot better than I'd ever felt before. I couldn't understand it.

"How have you been feeling lately, Kyle?" Fern's voice sounded a little more stern this time, but still a gentle whisper in my ear.

A dumbfounded expression appeared on my face. Even though I wasn't facing her, somehow I was sure she knew I was confused. "What?"

"You've been feeling a little different ever since that night at my ranch, haven't you? Heightened senses? A better sense of smell? A little more sensitive maybe?" Saying this, she ran a finger lightly over my chest in a way I could only describe as sensual. My body tensed at the feel of it, but it was a pleasuring kind of touch. Even if it felt nice, it still made me uneasy. Fern didn't seem to care. She just went on. "You look a little stronger too, not to mention you are. You should've seen the look on poor Alan's face when you flipped his Machoke." She giggled quietly and ruffled my hair with her free hand. "Yes, you're showing a whole lot of promise."

I thought back to the events that happened at her ranch. Could she have done something to me while I slept? I didn't really get that much sleep so maybe not. She seemed a little preoccupied then too anyway. Maybe at breakfast. She might've drugged the food. She had to have done something! After thinking about it for a while, I decided to ask. It wasn't like I had anything to lose by doing so now. "What did you do to me?"

"Uh uh. Not me." she said. "You. You did this to yourself."

"What?"

"Oh, come on. You can't possibly think that little romp you had with Eve would go without consequences, can you? Are you that naive?"

I felt my face turning red when I thought about it. What could that have done though? And how did she-

"Not only do you two look cute together, you also make a lot of noise." Damn. That was kind of embarrassing. If the situation wasn't as bad as it was now, I'd actually be blushing a lot. I could feel Fern shifting around me. She rested her head over mine, and I could feel her chest pressing against the back of my neck. Something was wrong though. She felt soft, and unusually warm for any kind of clothes that I could think of. It felt like...bare skin...

"Fern, what're you-"

I was cut off by the feeling of her breasts pressing harder against me. There was also a small fragrance coming from her. It smelled like some kind of sweet flower and it was slowly starting to make me drift further away. The scent was kind of familiar. It reminded me of a Bulbasaur or...Ivysaur. Ugh. "I've been watching you, Kyle. Ever since we met on the road, it's been my job to watch you as well as Eve. And that night at my ranch made me a little curious. I'm a bit jealous of Eve, that she has somebody that can make her scream like that. After that night, I noticed a few changes in you and I started to wonder-" She paused as her hand moved from over my chest. My eyes widened when I felt it sliding lower along my front, instantly knowing what she was aiming for. "I started to wonder what else about you might've changed."

I couldn't believe this. Never in my life did I imagine somebody would try to take advantage of me, but this was low even for Fern! That doorman was right- she was kind of sick to even think about doing this to somebody my age. Grimacing at the thought, I tried to shift away from her hand as it slid over the button to my jeans, but it was no use. I was tied down too good and her arms wrapped around me helped to keep me pinned. "So," I muttered with a scowl. "You have to sedate and tie an actual person down before they'd dream of screwing around with you, huh?"

"Not exactly." Fern replied as she leaned down to give my ear a small nip. Luckily I could still move my head enough to pull away. "But you're a special case. Seeing as it's a long trip to Johto, we can't have you trying to escape and alert somebody on board, can we?"

Giggling, she reached around with both hands and swiftly unfastened my pants. I tried fighting her off again, but all I managed to do was slide the chair across the floor a little before I tired myself out again. I heard her giggle behind me again as she closed the distance I'd pushed away from her, which was hardly even an inch. "Like I said, you can't do anything unless you let that drug run through your system first. Just relax, boyscout. You'll have as much fun as I will."

Somehow I doubted that. This wasn't right at all. I didn't want to do this to Eve, even if I didn't have much of a choice on the matter. There had to be something I could do to get out of this...I grimaced again when I had a thought, but I didn't like it at all. Much to Fern's delight though, I stopped in my struggles and just sat there. Her hands slipped underneath my jeans at the sign of my surrender, pushing them down just enough to where she could get at me.

"Good boy." she cooed. My boxers were next. She simply pushed them around a little until her fingers caught my semi-hard member and pulled it out into the open. As much as I hated this, I had to admit it felt...a little good when stroked it. No, this was different. Whatever this heightened sense thing she was talking about made being bound to this chair torture when she touched me. As much as I tried not to give into this, my body wasn't doing a thing I wanted it to. My shaft was quickly becoming painfully stiff while her hand moved over it. I tensed involuntarily as I tried to stifle a sound emerging in my throat, but it still came out with a small gasp as she gave my member a teasing squeeze. "I can see why Eve was so loud the other night. Who wouldn't have fun with this?"

Until now, I had been looking up or keeping my eyes closed. Anything to keep from looking down at her hands, but now I couldn't help but look. I was different. It wasn't a big change, but my member had grown a little. At least from the size I remember it being that night with Eve. This was getting disturbing. Had being with Eve really done this to me; and if it did, what was next?

Another quick breath escaped from me as Fern's grip around my shaft tightened a little before she slid a finger up the underside of it, collecting a bit of pre from the tip as she pulled her arms from around me. I heard her sucking lightly behind my head, guessing she tasting what she gathered. And while she was busy with whatever, I tried taking another glance around. The moment I tried to turn my head though, fingers grabbed hold of my hair and roughly yanked my head back until I was looking up at her from beneath her bust. She licked her lips as she looked back down at me with a lustful glare in her eyes that I almost found scary. I tried to pull my head away, but she kept a tight hold on my hair. "Give it a rest, boyscout." she said lowly, her tone making it sound almost like she were growling. "Until we reach port, you're my little fucktoy, so deal with it."

Having said that, she lightened her grip and moved from behind me. I managed to get a little glimpse of more of the room when she moved out of my sight. All I managed to see was the top of the door and a coatrack from an upside-down view, but what was hanging from the rack caught my eye. My belt was there next to hers, along with my pokeballs. At least I knew Bit and Dusty were safe for the moment. I just hoped they'd be okay long enough for me to get them some help.

I didn't have long to look. Fern's fingers grasped my hair again as she roughly pulled my head forward. I was about to cry out from the sudden jolt of pain that went through my head, but it was muffled when she pressed her lips to mine firmly. Her tongue slid straight into my opened mouth and I could feel her weight pressing down on me as she moved into my lap. I couldn't help letting out a moan as she started grinding herself up against my throbbing cock. She wasn't wearing anything at all. I could feel her soaking cunt sliding up and down my member as I was forced to kiss her, getting her "toy" ready. As much as I resented her, there was no way I could say I didn't like how it felt. I couldn't take it. I had to get out of there now if it was at all possible. It probably would have been wiser to make my move when she wasn't on top of me; but if I could do something to stop this and didn't, I didn't feel like I could ever face Eve.

The rough kiss was broken as Fern pulled my head back, grinning at the mixed expression of pleasure and disgust on my face. "You look cute like that." she said, slowly shifting over me, making sure I felt her entrance gliding along every inch of my shaft before she positioned herself over me. As she started pressing down, I made my move. If she was right about that "super-strength" or whatever that I was getting, breaking out of this chair shouldn't have been too much of a problem. I was still feeling out of it from the drug, but not so much as before now. My limbs didn't feel like dead weights anymore.

The first low moan from Fern as she took the first inch of my length into her turned into a scream of surprise as I kicked both legs forward with all the strength I could muster. I didn't break the binds around my legs; instead, I broke the front chair legs clean off. That sent us both falling backwards, her tumbling out of my lap and onto the floor. I was reeling from how hard I hit the ground on my back, but I didn't let it stop me. Seeing as I was able to do that much, I put a bit more energy into my efforts and tried to get my arms free next.

"Why you--!" Fern was already up and she didn't look too happy with the stunt I just pulled. She seemed determined to screw me one way or another, but I wasn't going to just stand by and let that happen now. As she started to approach, I let out a short, loud whistle. On cue, Dusty and Bit's pokeballs snapped open and released them onto the floor. They both seemed a little disgruntled that I summoned then while they were trying to recover, but the scene they woke up to made them both give a wide-eyed stare. Fern stopped for a moment too to look back at them, so there was kind of an awkward silence until I spoke up.

"Would guys help or something?" I shouted. They both snapped out of their daze at that and started moving. Luckily, they seemed to have recovered enough to be of a little bit of help. I needed all I could get right now. Growling in annoyance, Fern turned to call Ivysaur out, but didn't get to say much. At the first syllable, Bit fired a Water Gun in her face. He was still weak, so it had about as much force as a high-pressure garden hose; but it was still enough to silence her and knock her back down. While he kept her busy, Dusty went to work on tearing off the leather straps that had me tied down until I was able to get up on my own.

Bit's little assault didn't last too long, but it was still enough. Once I was up, I didn't waste any time. Fern was pretty much distracted, so she didn't notice when I grabbed one of the torn leather straps from around the chair and moved behind her. Before she could try calling her Ivysaur again, I used the leather to gag her so all that came out was a muffled shriek. By the time she recovered from her surprise and started trying to fight me off, Dusty and I were already trying to drag her off towards the bed. The next few moments were pretty chaotic. Even with this newfound strength I had, it felt like it was taking forever to pin her down. Dusty had been thrown off into a wall and Bit was still trying to catch his breath by the time I managed to tie her up with her own bedsheets. It did feel good getting back at her like this though. I wish I had the time to mess with her head or something just to get more payback out of this whole ordeal, but finding Eve was the only thing taking priority in my mind.

Fern was still struggling to put up a fight even while she was tied up. With the noise she was making despite the gag, she might have alerted somebody in the hallway. Although if things had gone her way, she might've done that in her own little way anyhow; but now that I was free, things weren't going to go like she planned at all. Gathering up her writhing form, I dragged her across the room to the closet and pushed her in. Giving a slight wave, I slammed the door in her face and, with a little bit of force, broke the doorknob clean off so she'd have a hard time escaping even if she did get free. Once that was over, I took a few deep breaths, only then realizing I was still under the influence of that sedative. The world started spinning, so I took a seat on the bed to calm down, regain my senses and try to think about what I was going to do now.

I was in the middle of the ocean now with who knows how many people from Team Auro on board this ship. Eve could have been anywhere, and who knows what they were doing to her. Bit and Dusty were in no condition for us to fight our way out; and it was hard for me to move around much without getting dizzy all over again. Looking up, I could see both of my Pokemon looking at me worriedly. Even though they were in bad shape, they looked more concerned about how I was doing rather than themselves. Smiling lightly, I gathered up enough strength to stand and fasten my jeans once I'd "calmed down" enough to fit in them. I still couldn't believe Fern tried that. As much as I hated her for it, it was a little arousing even if it didn't feel right at all. Shaking the thoughts off, I looked over to my belt hanging by the door. "Okay," I told myself as I grabbed it and strapped it around my waist. "Okay, first we need to find Eve. Can you two walk?" It probably wasn't the best idea, but it might have been better if I had them on hand in case something else happened. Neither of them had an objection to it, though I could clearly see the exhaustion on both of their faces.

After taking a few more deep breaths and straightening out my clothes, I reached for the door to the room and slowly turned the knob. "Alright. You both just stay close behind me." I told them. I opened the door a crack and peeked out into the hallway. It seemed clear. I thought there might have been guards, but apparently, Fern didn't want anybody near her door. The entire hallway was clear of people. I guessed it would have been since it was probably late at night by now. Most people were probably still asleep. Signalling for my Pokemon to follow, I stepped out of the room and shut the door behind us. The air in the hall hit me like a slap to the face, but it was pretty refreshing. That scent Fern had on her was nowhere out here, so the little haze I got from it was gone and I was able to think more clearly. Even better, I was able to sniff Eve out. The air had a lot of smells from the ship's passengers in the hall, but there was no mistaking hers. If I was able to catch it that easily, it meant she had to be close by.

I took a glance around at the surrounding doors. There were seven on either side of the hall. By the time I searched all of them, Fern might've broken loose, or even worse, Team Auro members might've spotted me and my Pokemon out here. This whole "change" going on in me was actually turning out to be a big help though. Like Fern had said I was able to hear a lot better, which made it a little easier to know who was behind what door. Before I could figure out what to do, Bit and Dusty were already moving down the hall to one side, stopping outside every door. I looked like they had the same idea in mind that I did, so I went to the other side of the hall to check the rooms. It felt a little weird leaning in towards every door. I was glad nobody came by while we were searching. Team Auro or not, it'd be hard explaining this.

The first door I came across, it sounded like whoever was inside was asleep. I didn't even have to lean in to hear the snoring. The second room...I couldn't help but turn a little red when I turned an ear to the door. There was a couple inside this one. I could very distinctly hear the sounds of bedsprings creaking and other noise that gave me the idea of two people screwing the life out of each other. I figured it'd be best to move away from the door quickly before my Pokemon started giving me dirty looks when they understood out what was going on too, so I continued down the hall. When I came across the third door, I could hear about five people inside. One of them sounded like a Pokemon...a Machoke I think.

"That bitch had better be worth the trouble we went through to get her." one voice said.

"Look on the bright side." said another. "We all get raises for delivery. And if this project of Mr. Aegis goes well, it'll put Team Auro above the Rockets!"

"Still, we're going through a lot of trouble for a simple delivery." snapped a third Auro member. "That kid almost ruined this whole escape route for us. And did you see what he did to my poor Machoke?" I could only guess that was the guy who sent that Pokemon at me in the first place.

"That's because your Machoke's a wuss. Anybody could flip it." THIS was a voice I remembered. It belonged to that doorman in Lieutenant Surge's gym. I wonder what the gym leader would've done if he knew this guy had doublecrossed him.

In any case, it sounded like they were all in that one room, or a good deal of them at least. Dusty and Bit had finished their sweep of the other side of the hall; but had no luck. Frowning, I moved away from the door and continued my search with my Pokemon following behind me now. The next two rooms sounded like they were empty, but the sixth door was where I stopped. It was silent inside the room, but Eve's scent was definitely stronger here. She had to be in this room! But the door was locked. I wanted to try calling out to see if she was okay, but that would probably alert the others. The key was most likely in that room with all the Team Auro members; or worse, somewhere in Fern's room. I didn't have the time to go back and either way, I knew getting it was going to be trouble. There had to be another way to get in here.

Searching around the door a little, I did find one- there was a vent grate near the ground. It was too small for me to fit into, but Dusty and Bit would have had no problem. Motioning for them to come closer, I had them help me get it off as quietly as possible. They seemed to know the drill, because they were already on their way in before I could tell them what to do. After they were out of site, I closed the vent up and tried acting as casual as I could in case somebody came by. I wasn't left waiting inside. I heard Eve let out a faint squeak of surprise after a minute or two, which told me Bit and Dusty had made it into the room. Once the door was unlocked from the inside, I hurried in and shut it behind me.

Eve was laid out on the bed at the other end of the room. She looked kind of sick, but she seemed to perk up when she saw me. The room was a bit of a mess and her clothes were gone, but otherwise she was unscathed. At first I thought maybe somebody had taken advantage of her, but no, I would have caught another scent on her if that was the case I figured.

As I came closer, I realized why she wasn't moving around as much. She'd been sedated like I was. They must have removed the clothes because they were in the way or something. Or maybe Fern wanted her outfit back. I didn't know, nor did I care so long as the Eevee-girl herself was safe.

Eve's eyes never left me when I moved to the bed and started helping her up. As she threw her arms around me, I knew I wasn't imagining things earlier- she really had said my name. I knew now because she was right there whispering it into my ear, though she sounded exhausted. How much did they drug her? At least I was able to walk around by now. It was taking all her strength just to keep her arms wrapped around my neck. As she whimpered my name again, I gave her a reassuring nuzzle and kissed her cheek. "We're getting out of here now, okay?" I was sure she understood me in some way. As I spoke, her hold seemed to get a bit tighter in response. It was then that I noticed something else different about her too. I didn't catch anybody else's scent; but hers was a lot stronger, and not just because of my "new" nose. I'd always thought she was an attractive girl, but there was something about it that drew me in even more. It was pretty intoxicating- like that night we'd spent at the ranch. Had it not been for Dusty's urgent chattering behind me, I would have completely forgotten about the situation we were in and gotten too caught up in it.

I'd never carried another person before; but Eve was surprisingly light, so I had no trouble lifting her into my arms. I used the bedsheet she was laying on to cover her too. It was probably cold outside and that was where we had to go so I wanted her bundled up. The only way I could think of escaping was to take one of the lifeboats. I could get Bit to ask passing water Pokemon for directions to shore later. We couldn't have been that far. When I turned to check on my two Pokemon though, I found that somebody was opening the door. I stood there paralyzed. Someone must have been coming to check on things. I didn't have anywhere to hide with the Eevee-girl in my arms either.

It was the guy from Surge's gym. As the door opened full and he saw me standing there with Eve, he started reaching for a pokeball at his belt. "How'd you get in here?" he shouted. "Everybody! We got--"

Bit and Dusty shut up him up by double-teaming him. In two quick blows- one to his gut and another to his jaw-he went down, falling out into the middle of the hallway on his back. Unfortunately, he'd still said enough to get someone's attention. I could hear the door to the room the other Team Auro guys were staying in open. "Time to go." I told Dusty and Bit, returning them to their pokeballs. We needed to run, and they were probably too weak to keep up now. And I was going to have my hands full carrying Eve to help them.

Once we were set, I carried the Eevee-girl into the hallway and took a quick look around. Luckily, Team Auro hadn't made it out of the room yet. The people that did weren't looking our way, so it gave me time to get a head start. Turning the other way, I ran for the corner; but then I heard another door open. "Hey, there he is!" It was Fern. How'd she get out of the closet so fast?! I didn't turn back to check what was going on, but from the sound of it nobody was moving. I guessed that she was still nude and they were gawking at her, because her next outburst was a little more angry. Still, it gave me enough time to turn the corner and run.

Following the signs, I made it out to the deck in no time; but there was a problem-it had started raining. Hard. There wasn't a star in the sky now and it was so dark I couldn't see anything beyond the ship and a bit of ocean. Sheltering Eve under my body the best I could, I moved along the deck until I was able to find a lifeboat, but unfortunately, I couldn't reach it. I don't know how, but Team Auro had gotten ahead of me. Two men were standing up ahead to block off my escape route. I tried to turn to run, but there were another two coming from behind, along with that Machoke. After they closed in, there was no way for me to get by any of them.

Nobody moved for a while. It seemed like everybody was trying to keep their footing on the slippery deck so they could stay in place. I was doing the same; but I started to get an idea. If I could make one of them slip, then I could--

"That's far enough, boyscout!" Fern's voice sounded over the howling wind as she moved around the group that came up behind. She was dressed in her uniform now and had that gun aimed at me again. "Give the girl back, or this next dart'll put you down for the rest of the trip."

There was no way I was letting that happen. She'd probably just stick me with another dart after I surrendered anyway. That or tie me down better for whatever screwed up games she had in mind. I took a small step back as the group started closing in further around me; but seeing Fern take better aim caused me to stop. When one of the men reached for us though, the wind suddenly picked up. The sheet I had draped over Eve started to whip around in it until it flew off. As it blew in the wind, I realized it had everybody distracted for a brief second. More importantly, it was blocking Fern's view. This was my chance...at least I thought it was. The weather seemed to have other ideas.

The second I tried to move to get away again, a strong wave collided with the ship, causing it to tilt. It threw everybody off balance. I wound up crashing into the railing myself, but I wound up losing my hold on Eve.. The yelp she gave made me go pale when I discovered where she had fallen-she went overboard. "Eve!" I didn't even stop to think. While the others were trying to regain their footing, I climbed up the railing. As I dove after the Pokemorph, I felt something pinch at my ankle. Hearing one of the Team Auro grunts behind me, I figured one of them were trying to catch me, so I paid it no mind. Even though I went after Eve, there was no way I could reach her before she hit the water.

But then I got a sudden idea. Reaching to my belt, I grabbed one of my empty pokeballs and threw it ahead of me. Just as I'd hoped, it hit Eve on her hip and rebounded back towards me, snapping open to engulf the Eevee-girl in a red light in the process. Once I managed to catch it, Eve was tucked away inside. It was a dumb idea, I knew; but at least it worked and I was able to shield her from the painful splash into the ocean. By the time I recovered from it myself, I was a few feet below the surface with a trembling pokeball in my hands. When I came up for air, the boat I was on wasn't too far away, and I could see Team Auro trying to think of a way to get me back on board. Judging by how hesitant they were about taking lifeboats, I figured that it was a really bad idea to be taking those out in a storm.

I was so intent on getting off the ship that I didn't realize just how dangerous taking a lifeboat on these rough waves would have been. And now that I didn't even have that, there was nothing to stop me from getting tossed around in the sea. To make matters worse, I was starting to feel unusually tired after trying to stay afloat for only a few seconds and the weight of my backpack wasn't helping any. I now knew what had hit me when I dove overboard. It wasn't a Auro grunt; Fern had managed to get her shot off before I got away. I kept a tight grip on Eve's pokeball, even as my body started going numb. I was at a loss for what to do now. I had no idea which way or how far land was, and I couldn't reach my belt now to at least get Bit to help however he could. The rain continued to come down heavily, but now I couldn't feel it. I couldn't feel anything as I went under again; and this time, I didn't have the strength to go back up. I couldn't believe this- I was going to die. I was going to drown; and the last thing I wanted to do was bring my Pokemon down with me. And Eve. I couldn't tell if everything was getting dark because of how deep I'd sunk or because I was losing consciousness. Either way though, something told me this was going to be the end of everything...
Chapter End Notes:(Sorry this took forever to put add on. Had some issues to work out. Thankyou for being patient and there's more to come soon. =P
