Chapter 6-Fern's Ranch
Chapter 6
Thankfully, the trip for the next day and a half was fairly uneventful on the road. At least from anything that would be any serious trouble. Aside from Fern's random jabbering and Eve's clinging to me day and night, there was nothing too special about the trip. After the first five hours of walking on the day I met Fern, I figured we must have given Team Rocket the slip, so I had calmed down. I didn't say all the way though. I was still suspicious about this breeder that appeared at my tent. Sure, she seemed like a bubble-headed girl, but she couldn't have possibly been what she said if she was acting like that, could she?
On the second day that I met her, we arrived at her ranch, which was somewhere halfway between Vermillion and Lavendar Town; and it was close to sunset. It was a good ways off the road, so I didn't have to worry about any more surprises. Or so I hoped. Fern's ranch looked pretty cozy. There was a small, red house which was where she stayed, and then the rest of the area was one huge, fenced in area. Half of the area was a thick forest with a small path winding through it, and the other half looked like a plateau. I could see lots of grass and ground Pokemon wandering around in the clearing. Aside from the few bugs I could spot in the wooded area, I noticed there was an Ivysaur that had been following us towards the house along the fence with a disgruntled look on his face. Was that the one Fern had accidently mistaken her Psyduck for?
Once we made it inside, Fern told me to have a seat and make myself at home while she went to take care of something out back. There wasn't really much of a place to sit though since Eve took the only chair in the room, which was pulled up to a small table in the kitchen. I let her have it without a fuss, figuring she must have been really tired from the trip. I had to carry her on my back while we made our way up the path to Fern's house after all. Fern must have lived by herself here. It looked nice on the outside, but the house was way too small to fit more than one person. The only other rooms besides the kitchen were the bathroom and her bedroom it looked like.
Fern didn't come back for about thirty minutes, by which time her face looked kind of flushed and her close were a little bit dirtier from before she stepped out. There was some kind of sap all over her apron that made it look like she'd been knocked into an old tree or...I dunno, something. "What happened to you?" I asked.
"Hm?" Fern looked at me as if I had just arrived, then smoothed out her hair with a shy smile. "Oh, nothing." she muttered. "I just needed to run a small check-up on a few Pokemon and there was a...uh...accident you could say. A little work does get done around here while I'm gone, but I still have to make sure everybody's taken care of the moment I get back."
"I see." I eyed her a bit suspiciously, but didn't question her any further about it. Eve didn't have any problem at all. The moment the breeder stepped inside, she was clinging to her as if greeting a long lost friend.
Fern smiled and gave her a light hug in return, then took a seat in the chair Eve was sitting in a moment ago. She let out an exhausted sigh as she looked up at me. "It's good to be back even though I was only gone a few days. No place like home, right?"
"Yeah, I guess." I shrugged my shoulders casually. One reason I left to become a trainer was to get away from my older brother. Our parents had died in an accident a few years ago and he wound up looking after me. We got along pretty well; but a few months ago before I left, we got into a big fight and haven't spoken to each other since then. I don't really like thinking about it all that much, so I tried changing the subject so I could get out of there as quickly as possible so I could get back on the road. "Well, Eve and I should get going. I want to cover as much distance as I can to Vermillion as soon as possible."
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Fern asked. "It's getting late, isn't it?"
"That didn't stop us last night."
"But wouldn't you rather rest somewhere you're sure is safe? Team Rocket may still be wandering the road."
"Don't worry. We'll be fine."
Fern fell silent for a few seconds while she stared at me, then glanced at Eve. Sighing quietly, she rested her head in her folded hands and shut her eyes. "I'm not worried about you." she said quietly. That expression on her face...she looked like an entirely different person now. I didn't know why, but her sudden seriousness reminded me of someone. I couldn't figure out who though. "I know you're a trainer and can manage; but this isn't about you. I want you to leave Eve here with me."
"What?" Well, that was pretty unexpected.
"I don't want you to take her to Vermillion." Fern said. "You have no idea what you'll be getting her into if she's taken there."
"What're you talking about?" I looked over to Eve, who was making her way back over to me. I smiled lightly as she draped her arms around my neck and clung to me as usual and gave my cheek a small lick. Her presence nearly made me forget what Fern had just said.
The Pokemon breeder watched us for a moment. "My uncle didn't tell you what happens after she reaches Vermillion, did he?"
"Your...uncle...?" She couldn't have meant...that psychotic guy in Lavendar was her uncle? There was no way that could be...actually, no. That would've explained the little personality change she just had. From bubbly to serious, just like how he'd been all giddy when he saw Eve.
"Yes, my uncle. The professor that you met in Lavendar Town. He sent me a letter around the time he met you asking that I keep an eye on you until she's there."
"Now that I think about it, what's so important about bringing Eve to Vermillion City?"
Fern fell silent.
"Tell me! You have to have a reason to not want her to go there, don't you? What's going to happen to her?"
She continued to stare at me and Eve, then let out another sigh. "You know she's an experiment from Team Rocket, right? Did my uncle ever tell you what for?"
I shook my head slowly.
"There was another experiment of theirs that escaped a while ago, but I don't know the name what it was or what it was being used for. The main reasons Eve and the others like her still being researched are for recapturing or destroying it altogether."
"But I'm taking her to Vermillion to keep her away from Team Rocket, aren't I?"
"In a way, yes. What my uncle really sent you there for was to deliver her to another organization like theirs. Ever hear of Team Auro?"
I shook my head again.
"It's another group similar to the Rockets that's forming in Johto." Fern stood slowly as she went on. "My uncle defected from Team Rocket to join them, and he's planning on using Eve as a bargaining chip. I don't know what they'd have planned for her; but if there's one thing I can't stand, it's seeing Pokemon getting used like that. So I don't want you taking her to Vermillion."
I had only heard a few stories about the regions outside of Kanto. To think that somebody'd come all the way here from Johto, whether bad news or not, seemed very interesting to me. Why would Professor Elric go through all this trouble just to defect? He told me that he didn't like what Team Rocket was doing, so was this Team Auron any better? From what Fern was saying, she probably had no idea what he was actually thinking. I did believe her though. It made some sense at least; but that didn't mean I trusted her. I wasn't leaving Eve with her either. The question was, where was I going to take her?
Fern shook her head. "I probably shouldn't have told you any of that, but I didn't know how else I could keep you from steering clear of that city. I just want Eve to be safe."
"What do you care?" I asked. "You just met her."
"Probably the same reason you care so much about her."
"H...hey!" Yeah, she was definitely Professor Elric's niece. She had a way of reading people like an open book, just like him. I didn't know why, but I did find myself getting very attached to Eve even though we'd only been together a few days. I didn't mind her clinging to me at all now- it was as if she'd been doing it for the longest time. Whenever I looked at her, I had this feeling come over me that I didn't ever want to leave her side. Especially when our eyes met; I wondered if that was she seemed to be looking for this whole time-somebody who wouldn't abandon her. Maybe something happened before Team Rocket did this experiment to her, I dunno. But the way she always held onto me, how she'd always kept close, how she always trustingly came back to my side whenever we were apart for even a few seconds...it felt like she needed me as much as I wanted to be there for her.
Seeing Eve half-asleep and still holding onto me made me think twice about leaving Fern's ranch...for now at least I mean. We wouldn't get very far with her exhausted anyway, and I had to think about where we were going to go since Vermillion was out of the question. We couldn't exactly go back to Lavendar town. That crazy professor would probably be waiting for us if we did; or even worse, Team Rocket. Fern seemed to be waiting for an answer from me, so I gave her a slight nod and asked, "Can I give you an answer tomorrow morning?"
The breeder's mood lightened a little. "So that means you'll be staying here tonight?" Upon recieving another small nod from me, she gave a light smile in return. "Alright then. Sorry, but you'll have to pitch up a tent out back. There's not really much space in here for more than one person to stay in case you haven't noticed. You should be fine outside if you stay close to the house. The Pokemon usually make their nests away from here, but they wouldn't bother you without a good reason anyway."
"Alright." I could tell she was still looking at me skeptically, so I gave her a reassuring smile. "Don't worry. I'm not going to try slipping out while you sleep or anything."
"I wasn't exactly worried about that, but thanks. If you'll excuse me, I have something things I need to do before bed."
"Okay. Good night then." I nudged Eve to wake her up. The Eevee-girl let out a small whine and licked my neck before pulling away slightly. I watched her as she yawned and looked at me, laughing as she ran her tongue across my cheek. Fern didn't seem to be watching us anymore. She was already heading for her room. She left the backdoor open for us, so I halfway carried Eve outside and began setting up my tent near her a pond in her backyard. It was reasonably close to her house and out of the way of any Pokemon on her ranch.
Once I had everything put up, I crawled inside with Eve behind me. I didn't have much time to turn around before she pounced and pinned me flat to the ground underneath her. Although she looked like she was about to fall over a few minutes ago, she seemed a bit more awake now. Her tail was wagging playfully behind her as she began slipping out of the clothes and dropping them off to the side. Even though she was comfortable in them, she still had a habit of doing that at night. Maybe I should've tried teaching her about keeping something on, but then again I wasn't complaining. It wasn't as if some people didn't sleep in the nude; and besides, I liked the feeling of her fur when she cuddled with me.
We laid there in each other's arms until I was certain she was asleep. I couldn't doze off myself. I was too busy thinking about where we could go now. Sure, I would have been off the hook if I just left Eve with Fern or this Team Auron, but there was no way I was doing that. The only other option I could think of was heading further south to this town my brother had always talked about visiting when I was staying with him. I think the name of it was Fuchsia City. It was times like these I wished my Pokedex had a map built into it because I had no idea how far it was from here, nor did I have a map. The longer I stayed on the road with Eve, the more trouble we were bound to get into. And I still had to find a way to get that injured Staryu to a Pokemon Center as soon as possible.
Gently slipping out from underneath Eve, I left the tent to get some fresh air and let my head clear a little. As much as I wanted to help Eve, I wasn't going to let that Staryu sit in a pokeball and suffer for who knows how long. Fern really wanted me to stay away from Vermillion with Eve, but I didn't see any other choice right now. I could've left her on the ranch until I returned, but I was sure the she wouldn't like being away from me like that. I didn't like the idea myself. Besides, Eve's disguise was decent enough. So long as we kept our distance from people, we should have been fine for a while.
Having made up my mind on that, I started heading back for the tent, but stopped when I heard screaming coming from the house. The backdoor was still open, so I quickly hurried inside to see what was the matter. It sounded like it was coming from Fern's room. She sounded like she was in pain. I tried opening the door, but it was locked. Whether it was something she did when she went to bed or what, I didn't know; but I knew I had to find a way to get in there so I could help her. I remembered seeing a window in the backyard that might've led in there, so I ran back outside to check. There wasn't a blind or curtain, so it was easy to see inside. Even though she had her light off, I could make out Fern's writhing silhouette on her bed, along with another figure. Squinting a little, I could make out that it was a Pokemon. It looked like the Ivysaur that'd been following us when we arrived at the ranch; and it didn't take me much longer to realize Fern wasn't crying out because she was in pain. She was in bed having sex with her Ivysaur...
Through what light the moon offered, I could see the Ivysaur between her legs humping wildly at his trainer. I noticed that what I'd mistaken for sap on Fern's apron earlier was actually his cum. She was probably having fun while we were waiting for her earlier. It was all over her now so they must have been doing this for a while now before I found out. Fern was laying on her back, struggling against the vines that held her down. I would have thought she was being raped, but then I saw the pleasured expression on her face between the cries she was letting out. My guess was she was into getting tied up like that. While Ivysaur had her pinned down, his vines were working at her steadily, constricting and loosening around her stomach and chest in rhythm while they bucked against each other. One of them had coiled upward even further to bind Fern's wrists together over her head; the tip of the other one was brushing against her peaked nipples and running across her breasts, bringing a moan from Fern with every pass.
They seemed way too caught up in what they were doing to notice me either. I knew I shouldn't have been watching this, but now I just couldn't take my eyes off of them. I never expected to see anything like this and it was pretty shocking, and at the same time very arousing. I could feel myself getting hard after just watching for a few minutes. After a while, Ivysaur pulled out of Fern and untangled his vines from around her. I thought they were done, but then he just caught her in them again and forced her onto her stomach. He was back over her in an instant, his vines seeming to hold her much more firmly this time. I could make out the Ivysaur's shaft as he positioned himself over the breeder's rear. For a Pokemon of his size, he looked pretty big. Even Fern seemed a little nervous about the way he had her, but she couldn't resist him at all now. Ivysaur let out a loud, "Saur!" as he pumped his hips forward, Fern's renewed cries nearly drowning him out as he began forcing his way back into her. This time it really did sound like she was in pain, but after a while I could hear her saying, "Harder, Ivysaur! Fuck me harder!"
Her Ivysaur did just that, his vines pinning her down into the mattress while he slammed his hard cock up her ass even harder. Fern's screams shortly turned into long, lusty moans as she began trying to move back against him whenever he thrust into her. The Ivysaur's own growls of pleasure signalled that he was close to a climax; and only moments after that, his and Fern's voices raised again as he rammed himself back into her. Fern moaned loudly and wriggled around in her Pokemon's hold as he shot his load into her, moaning about how much she missed getting fucked by him and some other things I couldn't hear. I could seee Ivysaur's seed leaking from around his length while he still had it buried up her rear, and by the way he was starting to hump her again, I could tell they were far from done.
When I was finally able to pull myself away, I started heading back for the tent. I couldn't believe I'd actually stuck around for that. I should have given them their privacy the moment I knew what was going on. Now I couldn't get that image out of my head, and the new bulge in my jeans I'd gotten while peeking through the window wasn't helping much either. I did my best to try and think about the crisis at hand though. I had to keep focused on that, for Eve's sake.
When I had made it back inside the tent, Eve was sitting up and watching the opening with a worried look on her face. I felt my face turn red as I looked down at her. I know she probably had no clue what I was doing, but this felt pretty embarrassing to me. I had gone out for some fresh air, but I wound up coming back with a hard-on. It seemed she'd noticed something different about me too, which made be blush even more. Her eyes weren't fixated on mine as usual this time. Instead, she was staring right at my crotch...
Thankfully, the trip for the next day and a half was fairly uneventful on the road. At least from anything that would be any serious trouble. Aside from Fern's random jabbering and Eve's clinging to me day and night, there was nothing too special about the trip.
