Introduction: This is part five of "Who are we?". Previously in episode 4, Seb caught a Gastly to use in Pokémon battles, unfortunately it has a MPD (Multiple Personality Disorder), so he has no idea for certain of what moves it knows. In a battle against a trainer using a Croconaw he discovered that Gastly was able to use Ice Beam. We ended part 4 with Seb, Kaela, and Zoe (the trainer of the Croconaw, no RL personality) walking into Mahogany town with the Croconaw on ice over Seb's shoulder. We begin as they head into the Pokémon centre.
Who Are We (Part 5)?
by Silencer
"Who did I kill to earn this guilt?"
The nurse looked shocked when I put the slab of ice on the counter.
"And what are we supposed to do with that?"
"Unfreeze the Croconaw thats stuck in there."
"Oh, I can barely see it. How did this happen?"
"My Gastly knows Ice Beam apparently since this is the by-product of it's attack. I'd only just caught it so I didn't know what it knew for certain. I told it to go for it on it's own and it used Ice Beam."
"Why did you use a Pokémon that you didn't know the abilities of?"
"Because I can't use my other Pokémon. I can control it, but I can't release it to fight. It's too dangerous, it wiped out over 20 Gastly using Psychic. And it severely injured many of the others. That's when I caught my Gastly."
"Ok. Well we'll do what we can to recover this Croconaw for it's trainer. I assume one of these girls is the trainer."
"Yes. I am, plus I need to recover these Pokémon."
"I need the same for my Gastly. My other Pokémon is fine."
We waited on the bench for several hours before the nurse finally returned.
"The Croconaw is fine. All of the other Pokémon have been healed up. Please don't do anything so stupid again, sir."
"Like I said if I'd had another choice I wouldn't have used Gastly to begin with. It's personality disorder is all I can figure on being responsible for it's knowledge of Ice Beam."
"How did you know it's got a personality disorder?"
"I can communicate with it telepathically. It's got a MPD, different facets of it's personalities are all I can blame for it's strange knowledge."
"You're Psychic?"
"Some what. Enough that I can receive thoughts directed at me. It's pretty late, is it possible to organise a room for Kaela and myself. I don't know what Zoe wants to do."
"If possible I'd like to sleep nearby them."
"We don't have much space here. But since so few people come this way we're fine for rooms. Here are the keys to the rooms. Have a nice evening."
"We're going to turn in early Zoe. Let's talk tomorrow, we haven't had much chance for sleep for a few days. The last place we camped was filled with Zubat paying very close attention to us. There are just somethings you can't do while several hundred eyes are watching you."
"I understand, you've been travelling for a while. And whenever you want to have sex, something gets in the way."
"So vulgar a tongue for such a young lady. But yeah, that's about the extent of it."
"Pretty obvious how you pair feel about each other, I've never seen anything so obvious in all my life."
"Watch it Zoe. He is very patient, but he doesn't like being told how obvious he is at times."
"Great, I'm being ganged up on. If you pair are going to be like that I'm going for a walk with Gastly up to the Lake of Rage."
With that I left them, carrying only my Pokéballs and left the girls to continue their chat and putting away everything. Humanity was strange, I guess. Kaela was pretty much human if you watched her in there talking to Zoe. Who'd have guessed she was really one of the most powerful Pokémon in existence. I just wandered along the path without bothering thinking too much about where I was going. I just wanted some air, I loved Kaela dearly, but being around normal humans was rapidly changing her attitude towards things. How long would it be before things between us really would be totally changed because of the human influence? I released Gastly, and it looked mournfully at me. It could sense my mood, and understood the cause.
~ It hurts for things to change so quickly, doesn't it? ~
~ Yes it does Gastly. Nothing seems to make sense. Did I do the right thing in bringing Kaela with me like that? Should we perhaps have waited until she was more used to things before thrusting her into the real world? ~
~ We do not know. It doesn't matter much now though, the damage is done. It cannot be undone by just wishing it so. ~
~ True, but you can't help but wonder about such things Gastly. She's all I've got apart from a desire to know the truth. And frankly she means more to me than discovering the whole truth. She became my reason for living after I met her, before then all I had was the desire to find out the truth at any cost, even my own life. ~
~ Then you would have died quickly, without really discovering anything. ~
~ Exactly. But the change she is undergoing seems to be changing her core personality. ~
~ What if you're wrong. And it's only something temporary? ~
~ I've no idea. I'll always have the fear I guess. ~
~ Quit worrying for now, and just pray for the best. That's all you can do, besides maybe her personality depends on her form somehow. I know that Ditto behaves differently whenever it uses transform. ~
~ It's an idea. Well lets head back. Hopefully they've finished picking on me. ~
I returned Gastly to it's Pokéball. For such a messed up Pokémon, it had a good mind for logical deductive reasoning. When I returned to the room we'd been given only Kaela was there. I could sense Zoe was elsewhere. I closed the door and locked it.
"She really likes you. You do realise that don't you?"
"I'd be a fool not to have at least a vague notion of that fact."
"I don't mean as in just friendship. Mean much more than that."
"Oh. I hope you set her straight."
"Why? As much as I love you, I doubt we could ever have children. I'm a Pokémon and you're a human."
"Why would I want children? To give birth to children is unfair to them with people like Giovanni out there waiting to take advantage of them. And you can bet he'd be waiting for some sort of leverage to control me."
"I hadn't looked at it that way. I suppose while I'm the only thing other than yourself that matters to you, you're pretty safe from blackmail."
"Exactly. Now let's satisfy your curiousity once and for all."
I undressed and watched as she did the same. I moved over beside her and kissed her on the neck and dragged my tongue down her spine. She turned around impatiently and dragged us down onto the bed, somehow winding up on top.
"Cheat."
I whispered into her ear. She'd obviously been waiting for me in expectation, I could feel her excitement raging at a point that was dangerous for all involved. If somebody had knocked on the door, I'm fairly certain they would have disappeared on the end of her Psychic attack. She moved slightly and I entered her. God she was tight though, who would have thought anything could be that tight, yet still allow my dick inside. She set the tempo I was content to just lie there, she knew what she wanted at the moment, and I had no intention of denying her right now. I felt strange as she continued, something didn't feel right. Something was wrong, and she caught on as well. Stopping was almost painful for both of us. But we couldn't ignore the feeling. Dressing hurriedly I opened the door and stepped out. The sensation was getting stronger with each step. I could sense Kaela not far behind, but she wasn't human any longer, she'd returned to her normal form. We looked down the stairs, and saw the last thing we could ever have wanted to see.
"Capture everyone in the building. I want to see all their Pokémon as well."
The dark figure at the back said, I recognised the tone of voice. How could I not have.
"Quick get everyone out of here. I'll hold off the Rockets while you get them out."
She nodded and disappeared while I sat at the top of the stairs. I hit the switch to engage my armor. The feeling of the metal covering my body felt strange after so long without using it. But it still felt good.
"Hey, who's that at the top of the stairs."
"I am the one who strikes terror into man's heart. The one who inspires tales of desperation. I am the spirit of War. I am death incarnate, and you are the harvest I shall sow."
The words sprang to my lips without warning. I was in my element I pulled a staff off the wall and sent it whistling through the air.
"And you interrupted a good fuck, bastards."
I jumped off the landing, and landed amidst the group of Rockets and smashed one of them around the head before leaping out again to near the door. The lack of lighting prevented them from identifying me for who I truly was. The Rockets chased me out the door, without stopping. The idiots were doing as I'd wanted. I jumped onto the roof of the Gym and smashed an armored fist through the roof and tore up enough of it to drop inside. The Rockets went scrambling for the nearest door. Obviously I had their undivided attention.
~We're clear. Get out of there, now. ~
~ Ok. I'm coming. ~
I thought back at Kaela before jumping back out the hole I'd made. The Rockets would be kept busy by trying to find me inside the gym. I met Kaela on the edge of the forest, only Zoe was with her, and she wasn't wearing much more than a shift. Though she carried all of her gear. I figured she'd been woken up and decided not to take the time to dress. I disengaged my armor. I was getting tired of having to escape from Pokécentres.
"Nice time we sleep in a hotel. Those Pokémon centres are just too much trouble. That's the second time we've had to escape in the middle of the night."
"Would you please explain what is going on here Seb? Where is Kaela?"
"She's standing right next to you. Meet dangerous Pokémon I didn't want to use in a battle against anyone."
"Kaela is a Pokémon?"
"Yes. We've been trying to remain undetected, but it seems with little success. Now you really are going to have to come with us. We can't let you tell anyone that you saw us. I'm sorry to have to force this. Kaela, you might as well assume human form again. It's going to be a long walk. Was there anyone else in the centre?"
"No. I'd say the nurse lives elsewhere, making it a perfect time for them to break in. Though I'd say she had quarters there for when there were emergency cases admitted."
"Fine. The fewer the better. Now lets get going."
We set off, all of us were tired. If we kept on running into snags I doubt we'd be able to walk another step before long because of exhaustion.
End of part 5.
