Stories of a Trainer: Zeke's Tale by repede

Story Notes:

*jumps in randomly* HI! Well bringing my work here now after the suggestion of a few friends, hopefully everyone will enjoy it. Anyways a bit of history, this is the first chapter of a series I posted late last year at a different site. Only have 6 chapters done thus far, the series is far from done but I'm going back and doing rewrites, SO expect me to post a finished rewrite of a chapter here now and then. ^^

Zeke's Tale Chapter 2: A New Beginning.

Disclaimer: All characters, settings and various other things are property of their respective owners, I do not own Pokemon, if I did I probably wouldn't be caught dead here. *tear* On that note I don't really have anything to do with them, but I'd often like to, because frankly it would be fun. Any characters they don't belong to me I'll have gotten permission from their respective owners to use. (aside Pokemon, I'd hate to send the e-mail asking them to use their characters in a story such as this.) No Copyrights lawsuits plz.

Chapter 2: A new beginning

Zeke and his new Buizel companion set off towards Pewter City through a large forest which was just north of Viridian City. As they walked along Zeke noticed his new friend was walking next to him very closely, just a few inches from his right side, slowly waving her two tails around with a very cheery smile on her face.

She was in an overall great mood today, she had a new trainer that was nice and cared about her a lot, enough to give her the Wacan berry that she had on the necklace she was wearing. And, well...last nights' bath and oil rub really helped with making her body feel great too, despite that embarrassing moment they shared as a result of that.

Although she would've rather gone without that moment they had...her mind would occasionally think back to that moment...which wouldn't have been so much of a problem if Zeke was a Buizel but...he was a human. She shouldn't be thinking about that sort of thing...should she?

She sighed to herself again with the smile going clean off of her face. Damn it, she was still questioning herself over that, it was simple; Zeke is a human, she's a Pokemon, those things aren't meant to be. Perhaps it was because Zeke was the first male she's really gotten close to in a while. Zeke looked down at her after hearing that rather loud sigh of hers, noticing the smile left her face. "Something wrong?" Zeke asked, wondering what it was about.

She blushed and turned her head away slightly. "Bu! Ibui ibuuu..." She answered, saying 'No, nothing's wrong.' nervously, rubbing the back of her head with a slight laugh, oh god if he ever found out what she was thinking...oh that'd be horrible...

Zeke didn't really think anything of her reaction and returned his attention back to the path they were walking on, although his mind too was wrapped around his new companion. He couldn't really keep his mind on much else aside from her; just merely having her out was a big change in Zeke's normal day to day life.

Things quickly fell silent between them as they continued onward. As they kept walking, Viridian City kept getting further and further behind them until any sight of it was blinded by the trees that went along the path leading towards Pewter City.

As they kept walking down the path Zeke then grinned to himself, remembering that he met her here only a few days ago. "So..." Zeke randomly said, catching the Buizel's attention. "Around here is where you were unfortunate enough to come across me isn't it?" Zeke sarcastically asked.

The Buizel brought her paws up to her mouth and giggled to herself at that rather funny comment. Oh yes she was extremely "unfortunate" she came across Zeke, if she didn't she'd likely be dead now...and even if she lived she would be stuck with her old trainer still, missing out on the best day of her life. Oh yes she was extremely unfortunate indeed!

Zeke smiled to himself at her reaction, she obviously thought otherwise, as did he; she was probably the best thing that's happened to him in recent memory, well him excluding his money of course.

He turned his attention up to the sky, it was peaceful and clear today with a light breeze that would shake the leaves on the trees ever so slightly. It was quite busy today too; there was an unusual build up of wild Pokemon just around the edge of the city today, even more so than a few days ago.

The Buizel looked up at him, wondering what he was thinking about. He was kind of mysterious to her. She couldn't ask him anything about himself or anything due to that pesky language barrier that existed between them. She would absolutely love to be able to speak with him...she had so many things she wanted to ask him and to talk with him about.

And of course this meant he couldn't really talk with her either, she could understand him perfectly but he had no clue as to what she was saying without guessing. She turned her attention away and tried not to think about it, there was no use thinking about that really.

They continued to walk with a rather long bit of silence between them, which felt a little awkward, especially to Zeke, which was a surprise. He wanted to talk with her, which was strange, he's never really tried striking up a conversation with a Pokemon for a rather long time...mostly because he felt it was... pointless, one could say.

Zeke looked down at her, trying to figure out what was so different about her, was it that he was keeping her out of her Pokeball? No, that wasn't it. Was it because he had saved her? No, that wasn't it. He guessed he just let himself get too attached to her. Maybe she was different after all.

It was probably the way she treated him. Like when he brought back those things for her the other day, she was extremely affectionate towards him. That was something Zeke wasn't used too...and the fact she was cute, he couldn't get over how cute she was, merely just looking at her made him rather cheerful.

He couldn't resist now, he had to try to start a conversation. He started thinking of something to ask her about although he knew he couldn't understand her, at least he was fairly good at guessing. But what to ask...hmm...well he could ask her something simple to answer.

Zeke swung the gym bag off his shoulder and unzipped it slightly, not bothering to pause from walking. The Buizel looked over at him wondering what he was doing. Her questions were soon answered when he pulled a yellow object out of the bag and tossed it towards her.

She caught it with both of her paws and looked down at what it was; it was one of the Wacan berries Zeke got for her! She looked over at Zeke with a big smile on her face and a rosy blush as she took a bite out of it.

Zeke smiled in return and zipped the bag back up, returning to back to his shoulder. He thought about something to ask her, then an idea hit him, he could ask her if she was enjoying her time with him. "So...how has everything been so far for you? Enjoying your time with a lowly trainer such as I?" Zeke asked, trying to start a conversation.

"Bui!" The Buizel cheerfully exclaimed, she was extremely happy with the time she's spent with him. "Ibuuuuiii...bui-zel bui ibui bui bui bui bu bu bui!" She continued, saying it was probably the best day of her life, which kind of lost Zeke due to all of the various "Bui's" that included.

"Heh heh, glad to hear you enjoyed it." Zeke laughingly replied. "So I take it you'd like me to spoil you again like I did yesterday?" Zeke asked, curious as to what she thought of his "royal" treatment of her.

The Buizel grinned, ohh the idea of experiencing all of that again...it was such a good thought. "Buuu bui buiiii..." She sighed out as she raised her head up with a smile. Zeke could tell that was a definite yes, a real good one too from the expression on her face.

Zeke thought for a moment, he still needed to get her to train...so maybe he could use that as motivation for her, ah yes that would work perfectly. "Well last time that was out of the kindness of my heart to help make you more comfortable with me...how about if you work for it from now on?" Zeke asked, wanting to get her opinion on the idea.

"Bui?" The Buizel asked, wondering what Zeke had in mind for the sort of "work" he was expecting from her. She knew she was going to have to start pulling her weight around here too but...she knew she wasn't really cut out for being a trainers Pokemon...she wasn't that strong at all.

Zeke looked up towards the sky and thought for a moment; he knew it would be unfair if he had her out fighting battles...that might bring back freshly buried memories after all. Aha! He got it! He would start off by letting her work on things aside from actual fighting, such as learning new moves.

"Well I'll begin training you when we get to the next city...don't worry I'm not going to have you fight anything just yet, I'd like you do something as a surprise for you after we get there." Zeke answered, turning his head back toward the Buizel.

She was slightly relieved with that answer, good she didn't have to fight...but...what was he going to make her do exactly? She was curious now over what he had planned...and the worst part was she had no way of finding out what it was either, how frustrating!

"Bui...bu ibu bu-i bui bui..." She replied lowly, saying she was okay with it because it seemed only fair that she should work for that now. Zeke noticed the change in tone with her and got the idea that she was disappointed with the fact he wouldn't be spoiling her for free now.

"Heh, sorry about that, I'd like nothing more than to spoil you like that because of how happy it makes you but...I would like to use it to help give you some motivation to get stronger...if not for me then for yourself is all I ask." Zeke said, trying to cheer her up.

She looked up at him half surprised, wow he knew exactly what to say didn't he? She felt a little bit better now but not completely, she remained silent and turned her attention back to the path in front of her, taking a small bite out of the Wacan berry she was still holding.

Things fell silent again kind of weirdly, which again made Zeke feel slightly uncomfortable for some odd reason. "Anyways..." Zeke said, trying to strike up another conversation. "How old are you?" Zeke asked, trying to liven up the mood a slight bit.

The Buizel thought for a moment, she wasn't exactly sure really, she was born well over a cycle ago, which to a Pokemon was a year; a cycle meant a full passing of the seasons. It was fairly close to the season she was born in too now as well so she was almost two cycles old now...so she figured she should say two.

"Bui ibu-i bui." She answered, holding one of her paws up, showing Zeke two of her three pads.

"So you're two years old?" Zeke asked, losing her on what a year was, she didn't know human time exactly. Zeke saw the confused look on her face and figured that he probably lost her when he said year. "Oh that's right, Pokemon tell time differently don't they? Sorry, well two full cycles of the season's right?" Zeke asked, wondering if she would get that.

"Bui!" She cooed as she nodded, that she did understand. So a year must have meant a cycle to humans?

"Ah..." Zeke responded, so she was two years old. "Pretty young still aren't you?" Zeke asked. She nodded yes in response, she was still pretty young in Buizel terms but she was an adult now too...well almost an adult now, she was the size of one now. She wasn't quite ready for mating yet due to the fact her body would have trouble carrying an egg in its current state of growth.

"Are you really sure about going with me then?" Zeke asked. He kind of felt guilty about her going with him while she was this young.

"Bui? Bu zel bu bui bu bu bui!" She cheerfully chirruped in response, she was completely sure about going with him; she would love nothing more than that.

Zeke turned his head away, half guilty. "Well you know...you're still pretty young...if you're with me you'd miss out of a lot of important things in your life..." Zeke explained. His attention snapped back to the Buizel, who now wrapped its paws around his leg, hugging him.

Zeke paused where he was and looked down at her. 'Wow she really is affectionate...' He thought as she nuzzled him. She found his concern for her very sweet; as it was the sort she's never really had in that particular way. That's one of the things that made him different, and one of the things she was most happy of.

And the fact of the matter was that they were both different, in such a way that they almost seemed to complete each other. This didn't dawn on either one of them though; they seemed content in enjoying each other's company and kindness.

Zeke reached down and rubbed the side of her face comfortingly with a cheery smile on his face. "Thanks for holding as much trust as you do in me; I can't really thank you enough for that." Zeke thanked, he was grateful that she decided to go with him.

She giggled to herself over that, if she did leave him behind she would likely be wondering around out there clueless as to where she was. "Bu ibui!" She said, saying it was her pleasure, she enjoyed his company after all, he wasn't like any other human or any Pokemon she knew, she was extremely happy with him.

Finally she let go of him and allowed him to walk again. He took his hand away from her head and continued to walk on ahead, with her keeping pace right next to him. Both of their thoughts were still focused on each other though.

--------------

A few hours into their walk Zeke figured it was a good time to take a break to rest their legs for awhile and just enjoy the day. "Break time Buizel, you can go do whatever you want, just don't stray too far okay?" Zeke said as he walked over towards a tree.

"Bui!" The Buizel happily cooed in response, however she didn't exactly want to stray from him either, in fact she continued to follow him straight over to the tree. Zeke didn't take any notice of her because she was behind him now, he quietly walked over to the tree and set his gym bag on the ground and slipped his backpack off of his back, setting it down next to the gym bag.

He turned around with his eyes closed and leaned his back against the tree, sliding down it towards the ground where he landed softly with a sound sigh. Not long after that he felt something brush up against his right side. He opened his eyes and looked over, only to find the face of his new friend sitting there smiling at him, with her shiny black eyes gazing into his own.

They gazed at each other for a few moments, Zeke was kind of taken off guard...the more he thought about it the more...wrong it seemed. It wasn't the normal kind of stare, it was more like wordless kind that said things that normal words couldn't...and well...he got some weird words from that. He wasn't quite sure; maybe he's taking it the wrong way.

But something about the way she was looking at him just screamed that there was more there...no, that couldn't be it, he was just her new friend now...wasn't he? He turned his head away, no, no, definitely no, he was over thinking again.

His attention snapped back to her when she wrapped her paw around his arm and rested her head on his shoulder. She didn't really know why but she wanted to be close to him, real close. It made her feel content when she was near him oddly.

Zeke blushed in embarrassment...she was holding his arm now and was resting against him...this was... extremely sweet to say the least. But the thing that had Zeke thrown off was the fact she was like this with him when he hadn't even had a human girl really treat him this sweetly either.

Zeke turned his head back away from her and looked up. 'Well...I can't help it if she's the first one to be like this with me...damn I'm going to need to find a girl friend sooner or later aren't I?' Zeke thought to himself with a smirk. He couldn't blame her for this, it was his own fault he was as distant he was with other people.

Oh well...at least she had a cuter charm about her than any human girl did, her being affectionate like this was so adorable. Of course this probably didn't really look right now that he thought about it...a Buizel holding his arm and resting her head on his shoulder, together, alone under the shade of a tree...yep, this probably didn't look right at all.

'Ahhh damn it!' He thought in frustration over the fact he had his mind on that idea again, he then tried to put his mind on something else...but his mind absolutely refused to leave the Buizel that was right next to him. Although he couldn't really come up with something else, maybe he could try talking with her again?

Then it hit him, he never formally introduced himself to her did he? On that subject he noticed she didn't exactly have a name. Well actually she probably did, it's just that she couldn't exactly tell him hers, so he only called her Buizel, which kind of bugged him strangely.

He didn't mind calling his Salamence and Flygon by those names but with her it seemed a little rude. Maybe he should give her one? Wow this was weird! He really was treating her very differently wasn't he? And he didn't really even know why either, it didn't matter in the end he supposed, if he didn't give her a name he would probably be annoyed to no end by it later.

"Oh umm...Buizel, did I ever tell you my name?" Zeke cautiously asked. She raised her head up off of his shoulder and looked at him, thinking for a moment. No he never did really introduce himself did he? This was kind of a random subject for him to pick.

"Bu." She answered, shaking her head. It was kind of weird to have him introduce himself as she couldn't introduce herself to him in return due to the language barrier. She would really love to have him call her by her name but that was impossible.

"Sorry, I guess I was so caught up with everything I never really got a chance to tell you my name, anyways my names Zeke." Zeke said, introducing himself to her.

"Bui bu bui bui bui." The Buizel cheerfully responded with a smile, saying it was nice to meet him.

Zeke turned his head away and rubbed the back of his head with his free arm. "So...I would ask you for your name but I can't really can I?" Zeke said, half ashamed that he couldn't understand her.

"Bu..." She agreed, turning her head away, that language barrier was really annoying indeed, she would be really happy if she could talk with him, she would have so much to tell him and ask him.

Zeke figured he should pop the question on her now. "Would you mind if I gave you a name?" Zeke cautiously asked, wondering if she would mind or not.

The Buizel turned its head back around towards Zeke, slightly surprised he would make an offer like that. "Bui!" She happily agreed with a nod, anything was better than just calling her a Buizel. Zeke drew his breath to say something but he paused and thought for a moment, pondering a name for her.

It took him several minutes but he found a name that suited her just fine, and mainly because she reminded him of an old friend of his. "How does...Fay sound?" Zeke asked, wondering if she would like that name.

"Bui! Bu-i bu bui bui!" She happily answered, nodding her head. Yes, that was a very lovely name. Zeke smiled at her response, good she liked it.

"Well Fay it is then." Zeke said, turning his attention back up towards the sky. Fay happily rested her head on Zeke's shoulder and closed her eyes, waiting for Zeke to say when it was okay to get back to traveling.

Of course closing your eyes when you're rather comfortable isn't a good idea usually, she quickly fell to sleep on his arm by mistake. Zeke didn't realize it until a little while later when he tried to get up, she wasn't budging.

'Aww cute...she's asleep.' Zeke thought as he noticed her sleeping next to him now. He'd hate to wake her up now. But he had to get going to Pewter City, he was already behind a few days.

He carefully tried to slip his arm out from the Buizel's hold of him, she now had both of her paws wrapped around his arm and had a fairly tight hold of him, so trying to wiggle his way out without waking her up would be difficult.

He carefully raised his arm up, trying to slide it out without making too much of a fuss, he managed to get it about half way without much of a problem, however he found it was kind of difficult to keep raising his arm up from her; she was almost as tall as he was when they were sitting next to each other.

Eventually he manage to completely work his arm free of her hold, which made her slightly fall over against his side, still not waking her up. He rested her up against the tree and got his bags ready.

'Well hope this doesn't wake her up.' Zeke thought as he knelt down next to her, scooping the sleeping orange and cream bundle of fur into his arms. Surprisingly she was still asleep; she must have been a really deep sleeper. He turned around and quietly started walking back down the path towards Pewter City.

--------------

"B-...bui?" Fay cooed, opening her eyes, only seeing the sky now, noticing she was moving now. She turned her head and saw Zeke's face right above her, looking down at her with a smile.

"Oh you're awake? You dozed off on my arm back there." Zeke explained. Oh! She fell asleep? On his arm? She blushed after realizing what she did, wow that was embarrassing. "You know you're a pretty heavy sleeper, and a cute one too, at least I had something to admire on my whole walk today." Zeke commented, further adding to her embarrassment.

She noticed he was holding her; he's been carrying her this whole time? She also noticed the time of day it was, it was almost sun set now, she was out for that long? She tried to wiggle herself out of Zeke's arms; he was holding her like that was very awkward for her, especially after what he said.

"Hold on, hold on." Zeke said, the knelt down and sat Fay down on the ground up right, he then brushed her fur straight with his hands; it was roughed up a little from him holding her. Again she found his embarrassing, he was grooming her now.

After Zeke was finished she took off ahead of Zeke, with her mind fighting with itself over why she felt this oddly over a human. Zeke noticed her hurried pace and found it kind of odd, was she mad at him? He didn't know and couldn't really tell. He quickly matched pace with her and followed her, keeping a close watch on her as well as the surrounding area, which had him, worried.

Several minutes passed and she continued her slightly hurried pace without really noticing, she was too busy thinking. Zeke was getting increasingly worried over what this was about. She was just thinking without paying much attention to anything else.

She was mostly confused and very frustrated; she didn't have anyone to turn to for answers or anything. "Is something wrong?" Zeke asked as he tried to find out what this was about. She paused and turned back towards him.

"Bu." She bluntly replied, saying no. Zeke didn't quite understand so he was still a bit worried. She continued walking again, this time at a normal pace. Zeke cautiously followed her; still unsure what this was all about.

Zeke walked up next to her, looking down at her, she wasn't really paying any attention to him. "Are you mad at me?" Zeke asked, still with the wrong idea in his head, he didn't want her mad at him for some reason.

Fay paused and looked at him. Of course she wasn't mad at him! "Bu!" She answered, shaking her head. Zeke was a little relieved then.

"Well if not that then why are you acting so strangely? You're hardly paying me any mind so...I thought something must be wrong." Zeke replied wanting to know what was up. Fay realized she must have been a little bit too brisk back there...oops! She must have given him the wrong idea.

She couldn't really answer his question so she would have to show him everything was fine. She stepped forward and hugged his leg, nuzzling him slightly. "Ibui ibu." She reassured, looking up into his face with a prize-winning smile, trying to tell him that nothing was wrong.

Zeke got the message and petted the top of her head. "Okay, just don't scare me like that okay?" Zeke said with a small smile on his face now. She nodded and let go of his leg, walking back ahead of him. Zeke followed, keeping an eye out for anything out of the ordinary.

After a few minutes she noticed he was looking around a lot. "Ibu zel?" She asked, wondering what Zeke was looking for.

"Hmm?" Zeke hummed in response, turning his attention towards her. He didn't get what she said obviously because it was a little bit random. She paused a few moments to figure out how she could translate it to something he could understand.

"Bui...bui bui ibui bu?" She asked, pointing around to the forest that went along each side of the path.

"Oh." Zeke said as he got what she must have said now. "Why I'm looking around you mean?" Zeke asked, trying to clarify what she meant.

"Bui." She answered with a quick nod, he got it now.

"Oh that, well tell me, do you hear anything?" Zeke asked. Fay blinked a few times wondering what that had to do with anything. She looked around, listening for any sort of noise. Nope, she hadn't really heard anything out of the ordinary.

"Bu." She again answered, shaking her head no this time. She didn't really think anything of it.

"Well that's exactly what has me worried, I noticed it a little while into our...or I should say my walk, you were still soundly asleep then, I noticed that everything went dead quiet. You should at least hear a wild Pokemon every now and then but...it's just dead around here." Zeke explained with a soft sigh, this had him worried slightly as to what this usually meant.

Oh so that's what this was about? She knew what this meant usually as well but it never crossed her mind. When it was quiet like this it usually meant a bunch of wild Pokemon has chased off the Pokemon of the surrounding area from its territory or a group of Pokemon. Humans usually did this too when they were doing something but that was usually in a very small area.

"It's getting close to sun set now, and after that it'll be night, I don't need you going off and getting yourself hurt so please stick close to me okay?" Zeke asked. She blinked at him a few times, again slightly surprised with him. He was concerned with her safety of all things.

Again he proved himself to be different...she blushed slightly and turned her head away. "B-bui." she embarrassedly answered. Although Zeke caught her reaction from what he said, he was a little confused over what she was blushing about but he figured he shouldn't really ask or think anything of it as she couldn't exactly give him an answer.

They continued their walk, again without a word to each other really. However they didn't get very far before it was sun set, which was when Zeke usually started to set up camp. Zeke looked around for a good spot next to the path to set up camp.

After a few minutes he spotted a small clearing which looked like it was used as a campsite before. "Well looks like we'll be risking a night out here then." Zeke sighed, really unsure about this now. Fay nodded, knowing that it was getting close to dark now so it would be a good time to get settled down for the night.

Zeke walked over to the clearing and set his bags down. He opened up his backpack and got to work on setting up camp. Fay sat down at the edge of the clearing, curiously watching Zeke set up camp. 'Well nice to see she's helping.' Zeke sarcastically thought to himself as he looked over seeing her sit there while he was starting to pitch the tent up.

A few short minutes of work Zeke finally got the tent set up, luckily for him he was used to setting up camp after quite a few years of experience under his belt with camping. That and well, it was a pretty small tent, made for one.

Zeke got up and walked off towards the forest to gather some fire wood, although this time at least he had a volunteer to help him; Fay quickly got up and followed him into the forest, mainly worried over whatever was out there trying to attack Zeke.

"Care to lend a hand...err paw I mean with the fire wood?" Zeke playfully asked. Fay ran up next to him, not exactly sure what to do really. Zeke found a few smalls sticks and picked them up, he handed them over to Fay.

"Bui bui?" She cooed, asking him what those were for. Zeke blinked a few times at her in half disbelief, wow she was really clueless wasn't she?

"Could you hold those for me?" Zeke asked. Oh so that's what he wanted her to do? She took the sticks from his hand and gathered them up in her right arm. Zeke went around collecting any sticks small enough for her to hold then he gathered the bigger branches himself.

It took them a good while but eventually they were done and returned to camp. It was almost dark now. The sun had set passed the mountains in the distance, leaving a faint pink haze above them. The rest of the sky was painted over with a dark blue, dotted with several bright stars that came out first during the night.

Everything was still dead quiet now, which was sort of nice because it felt like they were all alone, but there was still the problem of whatever caused this, was still around out there. "Alright set the wood down over there." Zeke said as he pointed next to the tent with his free arm, with his other arm being filled with fire wood.

Fay walked over to where Zeke pointed and sat the various small branches and twigs next to the tent, and then she sat herself down next to the pile and watched Zeke set the branches on the ground, arranging them in a circle. She didn't really know what he was doing really; she hasn't been around humans for long so even the simplest things were a mystery to her.

She saw Zeke pull something out of one of his pockets and heard a clicking noise. Curious now, she walked over next to the pile of wood to see what Zeke was doing. She saw some a flash of light emerge from his hand a few times, then without warning one of the flashes caught the branches on fire, making them go ablaze very quickly.

"Buuii?!" Fay yelped as she fell backwards tail first. She then did the first thing that came to mind; she shot a water gun at the fire, putting it out. She then scrambled up to her feet, looking at Zeke, who was looking back at her with a rather sour look upon his face, did she do something wrong?

"Fay..." Zeke lowly said. She gulped, uh oh she did something wrong didn't she? "You weren't supposed to put that out." Zeke explained. Uh oh...she did do something wrong. She felt a little bit afraid now, mainly because she didn't know what Zeke was like if he was upset...would he be like her old trainer? She sure hoped not but she couldn't help but think that.

Zeke got up and walked over towards her slowly. She looked up at him with a very sorry look on her face with her eyes watering. Zeke knelt down in front of her and reached his arm out towards her. She closed her eyes, ready for him to maybe hit her at least; she did mess up whatever it was he was doing.

Instead he petted the side of her head. "You silly little fuzz ball, I'm not mad." Zeke reinsured her with a soft tone in his voice. She opened her eyes and looked at him. He wasn't mad at her? Her eyes welled up again. She threw herself forward into his chest hugging him, glad that he wasn't mad at her.

Zeke returned the hug and held her a few minutes. He noticed the sun had completely set and it was almost dark now, he didn't have long until it was completely dark. He cut the hug short and pushed her back. "Well I'll hurry up and see if I can't find some more branches. It's more dangerous out there in the woods so stay here okay?" Zeke said. She looked up at him and nodded in agreement.

Zeke got up and hurriedly took off into the forest, leaving her alone, which sort of felt uncomfortable now. She patiently waited for him for awhile; she started to get really nervous when she didn't hear anything for a couple of minutes though.

She walked up to the edge of the forest, bobbing her head around, hoping to get a glimpse at least of Zeke. But it was dark now; all that she could see was the barely visible silhouettes of trees and bushes. Her attention was then caught by the sounds of footsteps, however these definitely weren't Zeke's they sounded too heavy and frequent.

Oh no, what if whatever it was got Zeke? And it was after her now? She felt scared, alone and helpless now. She saw a large figure starting to make itself visible now through darkened shadows of the forests. She wanted to run but she couldn't bring herself to move, she just hit the ground and covered her head, shaking like a leaf in the breeze. She heard the footsteps get closer and closer and finally they paused right in front of her.

"What in the world are you doing?" A familiar voice asked. It was...Zeke's voice? She lifted her paws away from her head and looked up, seeing Zeke knelt down in front of her. "Buuuiii!!!" She happily cried out as she bolted herself straight up into Zeke's chest again, knocking him over and giving him another hug; happily nuzzling him with both of her tails swaying in pure joy.

Zeke patted her back, shaking his head in disbelief, wow she was really that scared without him being there? Geez he really did have his work cut out for him didn't he? Oh well, at the very least she was adorable when she was affectionate like this.

After a few moments she finally lifted her head away from his chest with her eyes slightly watered up, rather emotional, that was very scary for her. She looked up into his face, but then something caught her eyes, she saw something standing over across from them, a large blue dragon like Pokemon. A shiver went down her back, oh no...whatever it was must have followed Zeke here!

She quickly got up off of Zeke, throwing herself between him and the unfamiliar Pokemon with her fur ruffled up now and her arms spread out, growling as threateningly as she could manage to warn it to go away. She wasn't going to let anything happen to Zeke, she owed him everything.

Zeke turned his head up, looking at this display of bravery on her part. 'Wow gutsy thing isn't she?' Zeke thought as she stood her ground between it and Zeke, not caring about the fact that it was several times larger than she was.

Zeke got up and brushed himself off, then walked passed Fay, who looked at him as if he was crazy as he walked past her. She quickly got back in front of him and put herself back in front of his legs, growling again and trying to look imposing. Her concentration on protecting Zeke was thrown off by the sound of chuckling behind her. She looked up towards Zeke; he was covering his mouth, trying to keep himself from bursting out laughing. What was this about?

"Bui?" She cooed, asking what this was about. That was the final nail in the coffin for Zeke; he burst out laughing at the absolutely clueless look on her face now. She blinked at Zeke a few times, was something funny? Did she get something in her fur?

Several seconds later Zeke managed to regain his composure and then gestured for the dragon Pokemon to come over towards them. It started to walk forward towards them, catching Fay's attention again, she snapped back to warning it to stay away, but it ignored the heeds and continued towards them.

It stopped several feet in front of them; Fay still tried to warn it off by being threatening but it was failing quite horribly. Zeke walked back in front of her, but she tried to stop him again. Zeke then knelt down to her and petted her on her head, which seemed extremely out of place given the current situation.

"Okay, okay silly, I know you're trying to protect me but you honestly don't remember him? He's the one who saved you really; I was just giving the orders." Zeke explained. Fay blinked a few times at Zeke, and then she turned her head towards the dragon Pokemon and thought for a few moments.

Oh! It was that Pokemon! She wasn't sure what kind it was but she remembered it now, she saw it next to Zeke when he saved her...she just never really paid that much heed towards it due to Zeke. She blushed to herself now that she thought about it; all of that and she only had the wrong idea...no wonder Zeke was laughing.

Zeke walked around her again towards the dragon Pokemon. Her attention went back towards Zeke as she watched him go around to the side of it, picking up something from its back. Zeke turned around back towards her; he had his arms full of dead tree branches and limbs.

Zeke walked over and sat them back down near the tree he had the previous campfire set up next too and started to set up a new one. Several minutes later he managed to get it set up just perfect again. "Salamence could you light it?" Zeke asked as he turned his head towards the large blue dragon Pokemon that was still sitting there in front of Fay.

It got up and calmly walked around her, only giving her a quick glance from the corner of its eye as it went around her. It stopped in front of the campfire, exhaling a small breath of fire which immediately lit the campfire ablaze as soon as the flames hit the dry wood.

The surrounding area was lit up with a bright and warm orange glow as soon as the fire went fully aflame. Fay turned around and curiously walked over towards the fire, it wasn't really going anywhere aside from itself, she's only seen fires that have burnt down forests and such so a harmless campfire was something new to her.

"Hey! Don't get any ideas about putting that one out!" Zeke playfully exclaimed as he noticed her getting near the fire, she quickly looked up at Zeke then turned her head away with a small blush of embarrassment on her face, which was hidden by the orange light of the fire that lit up her fur.

Zeke grinned to himself and returned the Salamence to its Pokeball. He sat himself down next to the fire, resting his back up against the tree and closing his eyes. Fay looked back over at Zeke, oddly enough; she had a very strong urge to go sit next to him.

She cautiously made her way over to him, trying not to make any noises and sat down next to him. She felt very strange now, she felt very uncomfortable being next to him...yet at the same time she felt like she wanted to be closer to him as well.

This was definitely weird. She's never felt quite this way before. She wiggled herself over closer to Zeke just slightly; the uncomfortable feeling grew, as did the need to be closer to him, although she couldn't get any closer without touching him.

She turned her head away and looked down at the ground, completely puzzled now, what was with this? She didn't feel this way just awhile ago. As she thought to herself Zeke opened his left eye, seeing her sitting next to him. She kind of looked sad from the angle he was looking at her from because of the way her head drooped down.

Zeke didn't really want her feeling sad so he did something that would definitely cheer her up, or at least he hoped it would. He reached over with his arm and pulled her over towards him, catching her completely by surprise. He rested her up on his lap with his arms wrapped around her.

She blushed furiously at this, this was completely random and out of the blue, why did he do this? She turned her face back towards him to see him smiling at her. "Comfortable?" Zeke politely asked. She slowly nodded in response and then quickly turned her head away, words couldn't describe the uncomfortable feeling she felt now, but as much as she wanted to get up and go away from him she just couldn't bring herself to do that either.

Zeke smiled to himself now, she seemed embarrassed. He guessed this might had been sudden and kind of awkward...but she wasn't trying to move either. He didn't really think anything further of it and rested himself back up against the tree.

Several minutes passed and Fay still felt uncomfortable but less so now that some time had passed. She leaned herself back against Zeke's chest and rested herself. This kind of felt nice despite the uncomfortable feeling that was nagging at her, for one she was at eye level with him now; aside from that she was rather comfortable now too, he was a lot softer to sit on than the ground.

She started to feel a bit more comfortable after a few minutes passed, to the point where she actually rather enjoyed this, it was nice being this close to Zeke. She wiggled herself around slightly to get comfortable then closed her eyes; she could easily go to sleep like this now. Zeke took note of how comfortable she seemed now; this must have done the trick then. It did, although it wasn't quite the trick he was looking for.

--------------

Awhile later Fay had almost nodded off to sleep again in Zeke's embrace due to how comfortable it felt combined with the warmth of the fire. Zeke kept himself awake, trying not to nod off to sleep himself. He did set up that tent after all.

Both of their attentions snapped to the sound of a very threatening growl now emerging from the forest. Fay quickly got up out of Zeke's arms and got in front of him. She quickly looked around, trying to spot whatever it was that was growling. Zeke got up to his feet and drew out a Pokeball from his jacket.

He activated the ball and got ready to throw it, but as soon as he did he heard something running, he looked around and saw a black blur heading straight for him and an extremely fast rate of speed. Fay had just enough time to make a fast attack to protect Zeke.

A sudden burst of water emerged around her body at around ground level, she jumped into the air and the water followed her, quickly enveloping her whole body, as it did her tails began to spin very rapidly like a propeller to help her swim through the jet of water that enveloped her body.

It was an attack Zeke's seen very few times before, Aqua Jet. It was a rather rare move, even among water type Pokemon. Fay connected with the Pokemon that was charging at Zeke, however despite how impressive the attack was she merely bounced off the Pokemon, landing a short distance away.

Fay quickly managed to scramble back up to her feet but it was too late, the Pokemon launched itself in the air at Zeke, he narrowly managed to side step it in reaction to it, the Pokemon landed and skidded to a halt after landing back onto the ground.

Zeke immediately recognized the Pokemon as it was one he was quite familiar with; it was a Mightyena, a black and gray wolf-like Pokemon from the Hoenn region, where Zeke was from. Fay quickly shot herself at the Mightyena again. Zeke knew this was bad as she obviously wasn't any match for it. Zeke threw out the Pokeball he was holding, it hit the ground and snapped open, revealing a large green dragon type Pokemon, Flygon.

Unfortunately Zeke wasn't quick enough. Fay shot passed the Flygon and hit the Mightyena again, only to bounce off it landing tail first. It looked down at her bearing its teeth and growling at her, she quickly tried to back away but it quickly stepped forward and made a bite at her, managed to get her by her left arm, pinning her down into the ground as its fangs sunk into her arm.

She screamed out a painful yelp as it she was being bitten by the Mightyena, which made Zeke's heart sink, he failed to protect her. "Flygon end this quick, iron tail!" Zeke ordered, the Flygon quickly flew off towards the Mightyena with its long two shaded green tail glowing brightly as it swung it around.

The Mightyena let go of Fay's arm and jumped back and avoided the attack, the Flygon quickly made another swing at it which was again evaded and countered by the Mightyena by a charge at it, launching itself into the Flygon's chest.

However it bounced off of the Flygon's chest and back onto the ground, the Flygon then balled up one of its claws on its right arm as it started to glow with sparks crackling from it. It threw an upper cut into the Mightyena's head, releasing several bolts of electricity on impact and sending it flipping backwards several times before it stopped.

Meanwhile Zeke rushed over to Fay who was getting back up to her feet, holding her left arm which was now trickling with blood. Zeke knelt down and pulled her right paw away from her arm to get a good look. It was pretty bad; she was losing a good amount of blood from the fang wounds. It was obvious she was in a great deal of pain as well from the look on her face, although what hurt more for her is the fact that in this whole situation she was only one thing; useless.

Zeke could have easily been hurt or killed, and what was the best she could do? Only distract the Pokemon at the cost of her own well being. She felt completely and utterly ashamed of herself that she couldn't defend her trainer...her best friend...and the most important thing in her life now.

She started to sob to herself, having to go through both the physical and emotional pain she was feeling. Zeke meanwhile was focused on her left arm. He ran over and got his gym bag and took it back over next to her. He got out some medical and recovery items out of his bag, first giving her a basic spray of a recovery agent to help heal and disinfect the wounds, although mere spray medicines couldn't recover wounds such as that.

Zeke then got some bandages and quickly wrapped her arm up as best and gently as he could. She looked at him the whole time while he was working on her...why...why did he do all of this for her? As he just seen she was useless to him, his other Pokemon were many times stronger than herself, why did he bother with her? It didn't make any sense whatsoever.

Zeke got a bottle out of his gym bag and opened it, getting a pill from it. "Here take this." Zeke said as he offered the pill to her. She looked at it and then back up at him, not really making an attempt to grab it. "Take it and swallow the pill, it'll help with the pain, it might take a little while to kick in though, but as soon as it does, you won't feel any pain in your left arm." Zeke explained.

She didn't take the pill, she felt she deserved any pain she was feeling for now much of a failure she was to Zeke. "Fay...take it, please, it's already bad enough that you got hurt like this under my watch...I'm sorry, I've already failed you as a trainer...so please take it." Zeke said with a saddened look on his face.

He failed her? That was far from true, or at least that's how Fay felt, but still...she didn't want to see Zeke sad like this either. She took the pill from his hand and put it in her mouth, swallowing it with a rather sound gulp. "Thank you." Zeke said as he got up and turned his attention back to the battle.

The Flygon was still fighting, it had the complete upper hand but the Mightyena refused to give up despite the difference in their strength. The Flygon shot a yellow bolt of energy at the Mightyena, which missed and hit the ground, causing a large explosion as it impacted. Afterwards a large cloud of dust loomed over in front of the Flygon; it lost sight of the Mightyena.

It flew through the dust cloud to look for it, not seeing it anywhere, did it run away? However it didn't run away, it just used that as a distraction while it targeted easier prey, namely the human and the Buizel which were now both unprotected.

It bolted out from the forest again, making a run towards Zeke and Fay. Fay saw the Mightyena charge them out of the corner of her eye and threw herself in front of Zeke again...if anything at the very least she could serve as a shield for him. However that didn't last long as Zeke quickly grabbed her in both of his arms and swung her around to the ground, with his body shielding her so that he would be the one to receive any sort of attack made towards them.

The Mightyena jumped in the air at Zeke but was intercepted by the Flygon, which threw another punch at the Mightyena, sending it flailing off a short distance away. The Flygon quickly figured out what the Mightyena was trying to pull back there.

Fay opened her eyes and saw Zeke on top of her, with his arms wrapped around her. She blinked a few times and collected everything that had just happened. Zeke just tried to save her? Again she felt those mixed emotions, although these were more serious, she felt so guilty over the fact that it was he, a human who had to protect her but at the same time she was so happy with the fact that he did care about her enough to actually risk his life for her...it was something that nobody else she knew would do for her.

Zeke looked down upon her as she looked up at him. "Are you alright?" Zeke asked, she slowly nodded although Zeke was kind of pressed up against her left arm which rather hurt, but it hurt to start with. "Good." Zeke said with a smile on his face now as he got up.

Although he just noticed something he really wished he hadn't had noticed; how wrong it looked with him on top of her like he was. Mainly due to the fact she had both of her legs spread out and Zeke had his lap pressed up against hers which was rather embarrassing.

He got up off of her with a blush on his face for a change, she noticed it but didn't catch what it was about as she didn't exactly notice that, even if she did she probably wouldn't have thought anything of it due to the fact she didn't really how humans were built and everything. Zeke on the other hand knew exactly how she was built now due to that mistake they had, which was something he felt he really could have gone without knowing about.

Zeke looked around quickly, he saw his Flygon wrapping up the fight. It whipped up a tornado of wind and sand with its wings, sending it towards the Mightyena, which immobilized it in the blinding storm of sand as it tried to hide its vulnerable face. The Flygon then shot another beam of energy at the Mightyena, this time it connected and sent it flying back into a tree before falling back to the ground.

It recovered from the attack, slowly making its way back up to its feet shaking itself off while growling to itself. The Flygon then made another attack at it with its tail; however the Mightyena ducked under it, causing the Flygon's tail to hit the tree which snapped it in half.

The tree fell over, nearly hitting the Mightyena as it fell down to the ground. The Flygon then quickly turned around and flew back at the Mightyena, throwing another punch. The Mightyena dodged it and jumped through the leaves of the downed tree to get away.

The Flygon quickly flew up and chased after it, but stopped at the edge of the forest; it quickly lost sight of it in the darkness. The Flygon landed on the ground and growled to itself, thumping its tail on the ground impatiently, it was having fun with that fight. It turned around and headed back towards Zeke, who he just noticed, was in the company of the Buizel from the other day.

Zeke turned back towards Fay after he saw the fight was finished and knelt down next to her. "How's your arm?" Zeke asked out of concern. Some blood was showing through the white bandages that Zeke had put on her arm, she was still bleeding slightly although most of it had stopped now.

"Bu ibu ibu..." She lowly answered in response, despite everything she still felt very torn up with herself over the fact she was useless to Zeke still. Zeke noticed the sad look on her face and patted her head.

"Feeling bad about getting beat up I presume?" Zeke asked. She nodded in response, yes that was partly it. Zeke sighed and picked out some words to try and console her with, he knew she must have felt horrible after that, especially with how determined she was to protect him.

"Well I probably know what you're thinking then, if you think you're weak and useless to me then so what if you are weak and useless to me? You're still my friend in spite of that, no matter how strong or weak you are there is no changing the fact that the bond we have is special, right?" Zeke replied in argument to her feelings.

She looked up at him, in half disbelief of what he just said. It was almost like he knew exactly how she felt. And they were words of reassurance and comfort for her, she knew it perfectly now, he didn't care how strong or weak she was, he just cared for her, which was a sort of bond that was indeed very rare.

"B-bu--bui...bu--ii!!!" Fay stuttered out as tears formed in her eyes, she couldn't hold herself back anymore, she had to cry now. She immediately threw herself into Zeke's arms and rested her head on his shoulder, crying up a storm, letting out all the bottled up emotions she's been holding for awhile now.

Zeke was caught a bit off guard by this at first but he knew what this was about, and honestly he felt very happy with himself that she was crying like this. She was letting out everything she was sad about, which was something she really needed to do.

Also it was really sweet of her to actually go to him and cry she must have really trusted him now if she saw him as a source of comfort and security now. That alone made him feel very important, he was now her friend, her best friend, something irreplaceable in her life now, he was honestly glad he could be such a thing to her.

Zeke wrapped his arms around her and hugged her, patting her back, helping to sooth her as best he could while she cried. Meanwhile their moment hadn't gone in noticed, the Flygon was sitting a small distance away with his arms crossed and a big grin on his face while his tail swayed around rather happily, oh yes this was a very good sign of how close they've gotten, he couldn't wait to speak with that Buizel now.

Several minutes passed and Fay finally stopped crying, she felt rather sleepy now. The pills Zeke gave her were kicking in now, the pain in her left arm was almost totally gone now. She pulled her head away from Zeke's shoulder and yawned, wow she's never felt sleepy quite this suddenly before. Zeke smiled and knew that that was about.

"Sorry, forgot to mention those pills I gave you would also make you tired." Zeke explained with a small laugh. Oh so that was it, although she honestly didn't really want to go to sleep now, she felt like she wanted to spend the whole night like this with Zeke.

Zeke pushed her away from him and figured it would be a good time to change her bandages for some clean ones before they called it a night. "Hold your left paw out." Zeke said as reached for the bandages that were in his gym bag. Fay held her left paw out, knowing that Zeke was probably going to take a look.

He carefully unwrapped the old bandages from her arm; he then got a bottle from his gym bag and unscrewed the top to it. Inside it was a weird looking green substance. Zeke ran two of his fingers through it, getting a good amount on them and brought them to Fay's arm. She blinked a few times wondering what it was, then she caught the smell of it.

She bolted backwards really quickly with her eyes wide as she covered her nose, wow that stuff smelled horrible! Zeke laughed slightly at her reaction, it was yet another priceless reaction from her. "I know it smells bad but it'll help stop the bleeding and help you heal, I couldn't use this earlier due to how much it would have hurt." Zeke explained as he drew his hand back.

She thought for a few moments and figured that she should at least brave the smell; she did want to get better as soon as she could after all. She stepped forward and held her left arm out to Zeke again. He then took hold of her paw gently in his right hand as he reached out to her wounds with his left hand, spreading the paste on her wounds, which kind of hurt but also very really weird as she felt it go into her fur.

After a few seconds Zeke managed to get it all on the wounds and started to wrap her arm up again with some bandages. "Oh one more thing, don't try anything like that ever again okay? I don't need you getting hurt for my sake." Zeke said as he carefully wrapped the bandages around her arm. Fay turned her head away, she was a little touched that Zeke said that to her...but it was definitely something she couldn't listen to either.

Zeke knew that was a definite no but he couldn't really make her, if she asked him the same question he probably wouldn't have listened either. He finished wrapping her arm back up with the new bandage and then returned everything to his gym bag. Fay yawned soundly and rubbed her eyes with both of her paws, still feeling that her fur was rather wet from the tears she cried earlier.

"Well if you're sleepy that generally means something don't it?" Zeke asked with a grin on his face. Fay took her paws away from her eyes then looked around for somewhere to sleep; she didn't really see anywhere that she would like to lay down aside from a place next to Zeke.

Zeke picked up his gym bag and put it inside the tent he set up along with the backpack as well. After he did he zipped the tent up and sat back down next the fire. Fay looked at him as he sat down. She cautiously stepped over next to him and sat down. Zeke looked at her as she leaned herself against his side, resting her head on his shoulder and closing her eyes.

It was obvious Zeke wouldn't be sleeping alone tonight now. Although he had other plans, he wasn't going to risk yet another night of sleeping while sitting up, he wasn't sure his back could take that again. As he thought about it he noticed his Flygon sitting across the fire from them, looking at them with a big smile on its face.

'Creep...' Zeke thought as the Flygon stared at him and Fay. Zeke wanted to move but he couldn't really bring himself to, he wanted to wait until Fay was asleep at least. It didn't take very long either. She quickly dozed off next to him thanks to the pills Zeke gave her.

After Zeke could tell she was asleep, judging from the way she had her mouth slightly opened as she lightly snored; he wiggled himself away from her side carefully, trying not to wake her up. After he did he managed to sit her up against the tree just so. He made his way over to the tent her set up and opened it, although he felt sort of bad leaving her out here.

Sure he was going to leave his Flygon out so he could keep watch for anything but he didn't feel comfortable with just leaving her out here alone either, especially after she got hurt like she did. He thought for a few moments on what he wanted to do, it would rude to leave her out here like that but he didn't really want to sleep anything else aside himself either...

...then again she did trust him enough to go to sleep next to him. So he figured it was only right that he should allow her to do as she pleased. He slowly stepped over towards her, knelling down and wrapping his arms around her back just so, so that he could carry her in his arms without disturbing her much.

After a few seconds he got it just right and picked her up, cradling her in his arms. As he headed back to the tent her heard the Flygon snickering to itself in pure delight of this whole display, he's been with Zeke for quite a few years now and he's never seen him share a bed or tent with anything aside himself. Oh yes, that Buizel was definitely different.

Of course he had false hopes floating around in his mind with that, Zeke was only just going to let her sleep with him so he knew that she was okay and safe, nothing more or less. Zeke shook his head and ignored him as he carefully crawled into the tent with Fay still in his arms.

Zeke laid her down on his sleeping bag, then lighting a small lamp up so he could see inside the tent and zipped the tent back up. He turned around and saw Fay lay out on the sleeping bag rather cutely; he smiled to himself as he gazed at her, and she was a very adorable sleeper.

He slowly made his way around her and unzipped his sleeping bag, there was very limited room in the tent so it was quite difficult to try to avoid disturbing her while he did all of that. Zeke managed to slip himself in the sleeping bag under her without disturbing her. He put out the lamp and zipped up the sleeping bag. After that he wiggled himself around ever so slightly so he could get comfortable enough to go to sleep.

Although that was kind of difficult for him, he had a Buizel, a female one mind you on top of him sleeping soundly. Even though she is a Pokemon, the fact that she was still a girl made it feel really awkward, especially after what happened between them the other night. A girl is a girl after all, no matter what species she is, that was how it worked, and that's what made Zeke feel uncomfortable with this.

But then again...he didn't really have anything to be upset about did he? Sharing a bed with a Pokemon was really quite common for trainers who held close bonds with their Pokemon...so this wasn't really anything bad. Still Zeke couldn't shake that nagging awkward feeling that was still haunting him.

But in spite of all that there was a plus side to this really, she did a much better job at keeping him warm than the sleeping bag. It wasn't really cold here, granted it was getting pretty late in the year also. Zeke has always been rather fond of warmer temperatures so any bit of warmth he could get was plenty more than welcomed.

It took him awhile but he eventually fell asleep after he finally managed to cast out the awkward feelings inside of him about the Buizel sleeping soundly on top of him, it was silly to be uncomfortable with that.

--------------

The next morning Fay was first one up, waking up with a sound yawn as she stretched her body out. The first thing she noticed was how nice and warm she felt, that was probably the best sleep she's had in a really long time. She also noticed she was on something kind of soft, like that bed...although it was moving too. She slowly opened her eyes to take a look around, only to notice she was somewhere completely unfamiliar.

She initially panicked, bolting up and looking around frantically, it was pretty dark aside from the light that was shining through on the outside. She looked down to see what she was sleeping on. She saw Zeke lying under her under some sort of blanket thing. It then hit her that she must have been inside the tent Zeke put up.

Then something else hit her, he must have taken her in here after she fell asleep, and actually had her sleep with him in here? A smile and a light blush took to her face; that was really sweet of him to do that for her, the last time she actually ever slept with anything else was back when she was a pup with her mom and dad, so this was very special for her as it reminded her of her better times.

She lay back down on top of Zeke, going further up his body until she was face to face with him. She hovered her head slightly above his and closely examined him for a few seconds, this was the first time she's ever actually been able to get up really close to him like this of her own free will.

After she got her fill of getting a look of all of the finer details of his face she oddly wanted to get to know more about him. She closely brought one of her paws up to the side of his face to get a feel of his hair, which she was pretty interested in due to the golden color of it. She ever so slightly raised her paw up to the top of his head and rested it there, slowly moving it through his hair while she felt it with her pads; it felt very soft to her.

She then slowly slid her paw down to the side of his face, getting a feel of the skin he had on his face, she's only been able to feel his hands and arms to this was also very new for her. The skin on his face was softer and tender; it was a lot different than his arms and hands indeed.

Although this was only feeing her curiosity, she wanted to know what the rest of him was like, what was he like under his clothes for example? But as much as she wanted to know she couldn't quite figure out how to do that without getting caught as those clothes kind of looked difficult to remove in order to check. As she pondered to herself she felt Zeke starting to stir under her, he was starting to wake up.

She patiently waited on top of him while he was starting to wake up. Much like her, he woke up with a yawn and stretch. He noticed the placement of Fay's body weight on top of him, which seemed kind of odd now. He opened his eyes only to see her face no more then and inch above his own looking down at him.

He froze with a deep blush on his face. It felt exactly like it would if a normal girl was on top of him like this, except it was his Buizel. Zeke tried to find an excuse for why he was panicked like this but he couldn't really find one. Although Zeke didn't really want to admit this to himself, the reason why he was so panicked was the fact that this was almost a kiss, their faces where right there, next to each other, close enough to feel each other's breath, the sort of close that nobody has been in an extremely long time for him.

Meanwhile Fay observed the panicked look Zeke had on his face along with his blush. She blinked a few times, that was definitely an odd reaction. Was he embarrassed about something? She noted the fact she was very close to his face but she didn't really think he would mind. But oddly...he did, although he wasn't trying to move her or anything either.

She thought for a few moments, Zeke still didn't move or even say anything, she figured he must have really been embarrassed over this and figured it would be best to move. She slowly lifted herself up away from his face and rolled to his side. Zeke quickly got up, only to remember he forgot to unzip the sleeping bag which was rather silly of him, which just helped him realize how bent out of shape he was over that.

He quickly got a hold of himself and unzipped himself and calmly got out, Fay watched him as she sat up, thinking of how funny he was acting now. He unzipped the tent, letting in the rather bright light of the sun inside and quickly went outside, leaving Fay in the tent to herself. After he went outside she covered her mouth and giggled to herself, that was very funny for her, she thought back to when she was still in her the tribe of Buizel's and Floatzel's that she grew up in.

There was a male Buizel who acted much the same way Zeke did with her, whenever she got close to him he would always give her same look Zeke had on his face and back away from her. She never quite got why he acted that way with her but she found it kind of sweet.

Meanwhile, outside of the tent Zeke continued to argue with himself about what the hell happened back in there. As he did he noticed his Flygon was sleeping next to the now smoldering remains of the campfire from last night. 'That lazy bastard...' Zeke thought to himself as he glared over at him.

Zeke got a rather devious idea and returned to the tent quickly, as he bobbed his head back inside the tent he saw Fay sitting where she was when he left with a cheery smile on her face and her tails waving. Zeke got that awkward creeping feeling going down his back again but he ignored it and reached for his back pack, getting a metal pot and a pan.

He quickly exited the tent and quietly walked over towards the Flygon, which was still sleeping soundly without a care in the world. Zeke paused when he got over next to his head, spreading the pot and pan out in each arm, getting ready to give the Flygon a rather lovely wake up call.

WHAM!!! The shrill sound of clashing metal echoed through the whole area after Zeke slammed the pot and pan together. The Flygon immediately bolted up and flailed around in shock after hearing that loud noise, even Fay jumped out of the tent wondering what that was. Zeke fell over laughing at such a priceless reaction. That was probably the funniest joke he's managed to play on him in a few years.

The Flygon heard Zeke and looked over at him with a very annoyed look on his face; he mumbled something to himself as he crossed his arms together with the tip of his tail flicking around. Zeke finally managed to recover from his laughing fit and walked back to the tent with the two pans in his hands. As he did the Flygon looked over at Fay, who was still standing outside of the tent looking at Zeke as he walked by.

"Enjoy each other last night?" The Flygon snidely asked with a grin on its face. Fay turned her head around towards the Flygon, caught off guard by the sudden question.

"Excuse me?" Fay cautiously replied, unsure what the Flygon meant by that, it was sort of an out-of-place question to ask.

The Flygon smirked and snicker to itself gleefully at her reply; yes he was going to have some fun with this. "Well you see..." He said before getting cut off by Zeke.

"How's your arm doing?" Zeke asked, cutting in to what the Flygon was saying, which rather annoyed the Flygon. Fay turned her head back up towards Zeke and then she looked at her arm. She didn't really feel any pain in it now that Zeke brought it up; in fact she had completely forgotten about it until Zeke brought it up.

"Bu ibu ibu!" Fay cheerfully said as she raised her left paw in the air, letting Zeke know that she felt alright. Zeke smiled in response to her cheerfully reaction.

"Good to hear, do you mind if I check on it then?" Zeke asked as he knelt down and offered his hand out to rest her paw on. She shook her head and put her left paw in his hand. Zeke reached over with his free hand and quickly undid the bandages that were covering up her wound.

After Zeke got them undone he saw that she was completely healed now, she just needed to have her fur cleaned because of the dried blood that was still present and the medicine Zeke used to treat her wounds. "Good to see you're a fast healer." Zeke commented cheerfully, Fay looked at her arm, rather surprised she healed that fast then nodded in agreement.

"Here let me help clean that up for you." Zeke said as he got up and went back inside the tent. He brought out a bottle of water and knelt back down next to Fay. "Hold your paw out again." Zeke said as he offered his hand out again. She reached out with her left paw and rested it on his hand again, she noticed the bottle he was holding and wondered what it was.

Zeke then held the bottle over her arm and slowly poured the water over her fur. As he did he let go of her paw and used that hand to help clean her fur as he poured the water over into her fur. She blushed slightly at the treatment he was giving her, not only did he help heal her but now he was helping to clean her? He was being unnecessarily kind doing that for her.

Zeke tried to clean her fur out the best he couldn't manage much with just water alone. "Darn it, you really shouldn't have gotten yourself hurt like that, you're furs a mess now, and after I got it so nice and clean too." Zeke murmured for no particular reason while he continued trying to clean orange fur our.

She turned her head away from him a little bit ashamed about that, yes he did get her fur really nice and clean before...in fact she never remembered her fur ever being that bright and soft before. "Keep this up and I'll have to give you another bath you sly little girl." Zeke remarked with a small laugh.

Fay turned her head back towards him with a grin, oh how she would love to get another bath. "Don't even think about it." Zeke commented after seeing the look on her face. She giggled to herself and watched Zeke clean her. Zeke finally gave up after the bottle of water was empty, her fur was still tinged with blood but it wasn't really that bad now.

"Well that's about as good as I can clean it; can you clean it up yourself if you can?" Zeke asked as she should be able to groom herself no problem. Fay nodded slightly; yes she could lick her fur clean although that would take awhile, though she wasn't particularly looking forward to doing that.

Zeke got up to put the empty bottle in his gym bag when he noticed his Flygon and remembered something he forgot to do yesterday, give them some food. "Ah sorry Flygon, I'll give your breakfast right away." Zeke said as he returned to his tent. Zeke crawled back out with his gym bag and two bowls in his hands and set them out next to the tent.

He poured out some Pokemon food and released his Salamence out of its Pokeball. Although they both didn't take to eating right away, they both looked at the Buizel who was standing just outside of the tent. Fay noticed both of them looking at her and whispering to each other, she got a little nervous with that, Zeke's other Pokemon didn't really seem to like her much, was it because she was new or just weak?

She would have asked them but she was afraid to do so, that would be all she needed; to have what she felt and honestly believed was the best trainer in the whole world but to be stuck with other Pokemon that didn't approve of her or liked her. She really wished they didn't hate her or anything, but even if they did hate her...she would try to work her way around that, she definitely wouldn't let that ruin her time with her new trainer.

Her attention went back to Zeke when he walked up to her holding his hands behind his back. "Bui?" She cutely cooed as she blinked up at Zeke questioningly, wondering what he was up to.

"Hungry?" Zeke asked as he presented her with one of the Wacan berries he bought for her. Her eyes lit up and she quickly snagged it from his hand with a smile upon her face as her tails waved around. As she took a bite out of it both her and Zeke's attention were caught by the laughing from the other side of camp from Zeke's Flygon, who found this rather funny in his own mind.

"Shut up, not a word from you, you've already gotten yourself in trouble today you lazy overgrown Treecko." Zeke remarked, rather annoyed with him over the fact he fell asleep when he was supposed to be keeping watch last night.

The Flygon went silent with that remark and gave Zeke a rather annoyed look, although the Salamence snickered to itself after hearing that remark from Zeke. "Oh someone's been a naughty boy?" The Salamence commented with a grin.

"Shut the hell up, it's his fault I went to sleep last night, they didn't fucking do anything, just that cutesy foreplay crap." The Flygon snapped back with a glare, flicking its tail around in the air impatiently.

The Salamence laughed to itself smugly. "So you fell asleep last night from waiting on Zeke to do that with a Pokemon he's only met a few days ago, especially given the fact he's a human?" He questioned with a nod to himself.

"Yes and Zeke fucking woke me up with those damn metal things he keeps in that bag thing of his, fucking asshole..." The Flygon answered as he turned his head towards Zeke, shooting him a glare. Zeke didn't know what it was about due to the fact he couldn't understand him but Fay heard it, she was kind of surprised with how Zeke's Flygon was talking about him so lowly.

"So you're in a cranky mood today because you didn't get enough beauty rest or because you didn't get a free show?" The Salamence remarked, starting to enjoy this conversation.

The Flygon turned its head back towards the Salamence with a smile. "The peep show would have been nice but you try looking half this sexy after being woken up by that asshole." The Flygon replied as he raised his head up high in the air.

"Well if you're trying to impress me with how sexy you look then you should have been born a girl." The Salamence commented with a smirk.

"EW!" The Flygon quickly said in reply as he jolted away from the Salamence in disgust of that comment. "I'm quite happy being a male thank you, so keep your fucking fantasies to yourself!" He snapped out as he paused after taking a few steps back away.

The Salamence laughed to itself slightly and turned around towards the Flygon. "I thought you'd enjoy being a girl since you called yourself sexy, you obviously find yourself attractive. I'm sure the idea a big strong male copy of you slowly lifting your tail up in the air and..." The Salamence said before being cut off by the Flygon.

"NO! SHIT NO!" The Flygon snapped out pointing one of claws at the Salamence. "Shut up! If you make me puke I swear it'll be on you!" He threatened as he backed himself away by another pace.

"So you aren't 'sexy'? Oh well then you're just a naughty boy for falling asleep then?" The Salamence said, having plenty of fun with this conversation now, he enjoyed messing with him like this as he always won this sort of argument.

"Don't call me naughty you fucking old pervert! Also I am sexy, to the ladies!" The Flygon snapped out in defense of itself.

The Salamence looked towards Fay and smiled. "You there, does he look sexy to you?" The Salamence asked as he pointed his head towards the Flygon.

"Hey that's hardly fucking fair!" The Flygon argued, not liking the fact that the Buizel would be the judge of that. Fay blinked a few times at them, not really sure what to do or say. She slowly shook her head no, she didn't find the Flygon at all attractive to her...plus if one of them got mad at her she would rather it be him then the Salamence.

The Salamence laughed to itself at that answer from her. The Flygon's face turned red with anger over the whole thing, now he had both the Salamence and the Buizel against him in arguments now. "TO HELL WITH BOTH OF YOU!!!" The Flygon yelled out in frustration, being pretty much defeated in this argument.

The Salamence laughed to himself smugly and lowered his head to his bowl to start eating the food that Zeke sat out for him. He was shortly joined by the Flygon, who was still rather annoyed about the argument. Fay nibbled away at the Wacan berry that Zeke gave her, with her attention focused on Zeke, who laid himself down on the ground only a few feet away from her.

She looked him up and down as she slowly nibbled away at the Wacan berry, as she did she thought about his reaction to her earlier today, wondering what it was about. Without warning a bowl flew over to Zeke, nailing him between the legs. "OW!!!" Zeke yelled as he jolted up.

"Ten points!" The Flygon cheered as he raised both of his arms up in the air. Zeke mumbled something to himself and got a Pokeball out of his shirt pocket, he returned the Flygon to its Pokeball, extremely annoyed by that stunt he pulled.

Fay ran over to check if Zeke was okay, namely by checking the spot Zeke got hit. As Zeke sat himself up he saw Fay run up towards him, she looked at him concernedly and between his legs where he got hit, then leaned over to see if Zeke was hurt where the bowl hit him, namely by touching him there to check if he was in any pain. However this didn't fly over with Zeke, as soon as she brought one of her paws towards Zeke's lap he immediately scooted away from her.

"I'm fine! I'm fine!" Zeke shouted as he quickly brought himself up to his feet. Fay blinked at him wondering what that was about. Zeke walked away out of slight embarrassment over almost getting felt up by a Buizel.

"You shouldn't try touching him there, not a place very many people are allowed." The Salamence commented as it looked over towards Fay.

"Why?" She asked, completely clueless as to what that could have meant.

The Salamence laughed to itself with a grin, shaking its head. "Well I can't exactly say why...but he is a male you know." He answered as he stood himself up, walking off towards Zeke.

Fay didn't really get what that meant at first. 'He is a male?' She said to herself in thought, trying to figure out what meant exactly, although it didn't take her long to get an answer, and when she did it hit her worse than that Mightyena did last night.

Her eyes went wide as she blushed furiously to herself, covering her mouth with both of her paws. Oh! She almost just touched him...there?! No wonder he acted that weirdly, she almost felt him up! She couldn't believe she almost just did that, that sort of thing never crossed her mind with him so she didn't exactly think he had one of "those" too.

The Salamence laughed to itself quietly seeing her reaction, after what the Flygon whispered to him earlier about her and Zeke he knew that she definitely felt strongly about Zeke, in a way that she wasn't openly showing or even knew about either.

The Salamence walked up to Zeke and gave him a nudge with its head, telling him that it was ready to set out for the day. Zeke figured that yes it would be a good time to leave; it was still rather quiet around here. Zeke started to pack everything up with the Salamence assisting him.

As Zeke went to work Fay sat down at the edge of the camp with her paws still covering her mouth and her tails wrapped around herself, still embarrassed over the whole "almost touching Zeke" thing. Although her mind was going over the what-ifs of that situation, like what if she actually did touch him there? She didn't want to think about it like that but she couldn't help it either, she couldn't really bring herself to think of anything else except that.

After a few minutes Zeke got everything packed up, he pulled a Pokeball from his jacket, ready to return his Salamence when he noticed Fay sitting a fair distance away. "Fay! Time to leave." Zeke said; although the words bounced off her as she was too busy thinking. The Salamence, on the other hand knew that name, it bolted its head around looking at Zeke, then at the Buizel.

'Fay?!' The Salamence thought to itself in surprise, Zeke gave the Buizel THAT name? 'Zeke...you must really care about that Buizel then...' The Salamence thought to itself as it tilted its head back to Zeke. Zeke looked over at the Salamence and returned it to his Pokeball in a red flash of light. He then turned his attention back to Fay, who was still sitting there.

He slowly stepped over towards her, closing the distance between them slowly until he was just a step behind her, she still didn't notice him. He got a rather devious idea in his head again; he knelt down behind her and reached his arms out slowly towards her side.

"BOO!" Zeke shouted as he tickled her sides. Fay immediately scrambled forward, trying to get away from whatever it was that scared the living daylights out of her. Zeke fell over laughing at the reaction she had, it was even better than his Flygon's reaction. Fay quickly turned around and saw Zeke on the ground laughing loudly.

She looked at him half annoyed with that joke he played on her. She got an idea and grinned, then patiently waited for him to get up. It took a minute straight of laughing but Zeke finally tried to sit himself up, when he did the next think he knew he got knocked back over by a stream of water to his face.

Fay walked over to him with her arms crossed together and looked down at him with a proud look on her face. "Zel bui bui bui bui ibui bui bu!" She said down at him, saying that's what you get for messing with me.

Zeke got the message clearly from the look on her face and got up, coughing vigorously because he got some of the water in his mouth unwittingly. "Okay, okay, I'm sorry I did that." Zeke apologized as he wiped his face off dry from the water. "Oh thanks for the shower, really needed it." Zeke commented as he got up. Fay grinned and nailed him on the back of the head with another water gun.

"Hey! Now that was uncalled for!" Zeke exclaimed as he stumbled forward a few steps trying to keep his balance. Fay covered her mouth and giggled to herself, finding this rather funny. She shot another water gun at his legs for good measure, which he dodged by running forward.

"I get it, I get it! Just stop it!" Zeke pleaded as he ran for the closest tree. Fay continued giggle to herself over Zeke's reaction to her shooting him with the water guns. She figured she should stop now or else she would be annoying to him if she kept trying to hit him with the water guns. "Done?" Zeke asked as he peered out from behind the tree. Fay had a strong urge to hit him in the face one last water gun due to how funny that might have been but resisted it.

Fay nodded her head and smiled, rather satisfied with herself for thinking of that, it was funny while it lasted for her. Zeke slowly stepped out from behind the tree and ran his hand through his now wet, soggy hair to get some of the water out of it; luckily he kept it fairly short, just shy of two inches so it wouldn't take long to dry out on its own.

"Anyways, ready to leave?" Zeke asked. Fay nodded and ran up to his side, hugging his leg slightly before she walked ahead of him. They both headed back off to their destination of Pewter City.

--------------

Later that day at around noon, everything was quiet, with only the sound of each other's footsteps on the bright brown dirt trail and the sound of leaves in the trees rustling in the soft breeze. There was still no sign of life around the path except them, which had them both worried.

Zeke continued to keep a close watch of the forest, this time being assisted by Fay who looked around to the best of her abilities, although she couldn't see that much being less than half of Zeke's height. Zeke pulled his Pokenav from his shirt pocket to see how close they were to Pewter City.

"Well we've still got another days worth of walking to do Fay..." Zeke sighed out as he looked at where they were. Fay looked up at him, not really sure how he knew that but she took his word for it because he seemed to know what he was talking about.

They could have made a lot better time if they cut through the forest, although it would have been risky as the forest was large, it would be safer if they stuck with the trail to avoid being ambushed by any wild Pokemon. However that Mightyena from last night was an extremely bold one to actually attack a trainer like it did, so it was likely following them still and waiting for an opportunity to attack.

Zeke definitely wasn't going to risk getting snuck up on again however, he kept his Salamence's Pokeball in his right hand at all times, ready to throw it if he heard anything out of the ordinary. He also didn't really want to stop for any breaks today, it was going to be a rather long tiring walk but it was best to cover as much ground as possible.

Fay was particularly nervous over this. She was worried over what might happen if that Mightyena actually did show up again. She obviously wasn't suited for protecting Zeke, the only thing she really was to him is dead weight, Zeke's other two Pokemon seemed many times more powerful than herself.

As they continued walking the path seemed to twist uphill some ways, this helped to restrict their view of what might be ahead of them. When they arrived at a particularly large hill, Zeke figured that this would likely be the best chance that Mightyena would have at ambushing them again if it was going to do so again.

It was still dead quiet when they proceeded up the hill, as they got near the top of it they heard a howl from downhill. Zeke and Fay bolted around to look at there the howl came from, however their attention snapped back to the front of them when not one, but several Mightyena charged at them from uphill, hidden by the obstructed line of sight.

Two Mightyena went after Zeke and one went after Fay, Zeke waited until the last second and dodged one by stepping slightly to the left of it when it jumped at him, then jumping to the right when the second one made a leap at him, he then tossed a Pokeball up in the air and quickly tossed another one behind him. Fay wasn't so lucky, she couldn't bring herself to move when she saw the Mightyena charge at her, an overwhelming feeling of helplessness overcame her, and again in this situation she was going to be useless.

The next thing she knew she saw the opened jaws of the Mightyena coming at her, she closed her eyes and braced for the worse, but she heard a pop followed by a small chirping sound. She looked in front of her and saw a Pokeball on the ground rocking side to side. "Fay! Move it!" Zeke shouted.

Fay looked at him then heard another pop and a large flash of light in front of her, a Mightyena popped out of the Pokeball, half dazed from just being sucked inside a Pokeball unexpectedly like that. It wasn't captured because it was still healthy. As that happened both of the other Pokeball's Zeke threw out snapped open, revealing both his Flygon and Salamence.

Several more Mightyena came out of the forest downhill and raced uphill, joined by the Mightyena that Zeke dodged. "Move it kid!" The Salamence shouted as it shot a burst of flames in front of Fay, which completely engulfed the Mightyena in front of her in a river of fire. The Salamence quickly let up the attack and the Mightyena that emerged a short distance away laying limply, knocking out cold from the attack. "I said move it, not stand there." The Salamence again said as it walked up hill to see if the coast was clear.

"Five all to myself, woohoo!" The Flygon joyfully cheered as it quickly flapped its wings which caused a vortex of air to spin around its whole body. Then sand and dust from the ground started to fly up into the vortex, making the Flygon's body barely visible as it did. As the wind and sand gathered a rather odd sound came from the wind and sand, a very musical sound that was actually several notes of music.

Flygon's are known as the "Desert Spirit" in several regards, the first one being that they can generate sandstorms around their bodies by merely just flapping their wings. The second reason is that the only thing that can be heard inside the sandstorm is what seems to be singing which are actually several high pitched notes that are caused by the Flygon's wings as they flap inside the surrounding storm of wind and sand.

Suddenly the Flygon swooped down to the ground, barely visible still due to the small sandstorm it had rapidly swirling around its body. It then flew off downhill towards the group of Mightyena alone, zigzagging unpredictably just inches above the ground.

The Flygon was quickly met by one of the Mightyena, which made a leap for the Flygon trying to hit it. However it was quickly knocked clear up to the top a nearby tree from an attack it didn't even see coming. It crashed back down through the branches of the tree one by one before hitting the ground finally, stunned from the attack.

The Flygon wasn't at all slowed down and quickly zipped towards the closest Mightyena it could find. The second Mightyena tried to get around the Flygon and off towards Zeke and Fay, who were unguarded because the Salamence was further up hill. However it wasn't nearly fast enough and was quickly caught be the Flygon, vanishing from sight as it was swallowed up by the sandstorm.

It quickly reemerged from the sandstorm. However, it was tossed out by the Flygon at another Mightyena that it saw running at it. The two Mightyena crashed against each other which dazed them both, the remaining two Mightyena looked at each other and backed away, they didn't want to get close to that Flygon as it obviously meant bad news.

The Flygon quickly darted off towards the two downed Mightyena and picked them both up, they both vanished into the sandstorm for several seconds and reemerged being tossed up straight into the air. The Flygon flew up and caught one, attacking it and sending it crashing flat into the ground, it then zipped off and caught the other one, hitting it with another attack which sent it flying off above the tree tops into the forest.

The two remaining Mightyena nodded to each other then opened their mouths, charging up twin black orbs of energy and shooting the two pulses of dark energy at the Flygon, however they both couldn't see the Flygon now as the sandstorm around it had grown fairly large from the dust and sand it picked up while flying close to the ground.

Both of the attacks missed the Flygon completely, only getting the Flygon to turn its attention towards them, it dove straight down to the ground and swooped quickly towards the remaining two Mightyena. They both panicked and started shooting dark pulses at the Flygon that was speeding towards them, hoping one of their attacks would at least hit.

The Flygon again zigzagged and avoided the attacks with ease. It grabbed one of the Mightyena and flew up into the air with it before attacking it, sending it flipping down towards the ground. The last Mightyena shook the sand from its face and fur as it was caught up in the sandstorm as the Flygon passed by, it then looked around and saw the other one missing, only to realize it was the last one left. It quickly spotted the Flygon again as it heard the singing from its wings; it then shot several more dark pulses at the sandstorm, hoping it would at least get lucky.

It didn't however and the Flygon swooped down to the ground and flew straight at the last Mightyena. The Mightyena kept the barrage of dark pulses up, now fearing for its life as the cloud of dust and sand rapidly approached it. The Mightyena yelped in terror as the sandstorm finally reached it, the Flygon grabbed the Mightyena and flew up into the air with it so it would be helpless to any attack it made.

The Flygon however paused for a few seconds in mid air and made a particularly strong flap with its wings, dispersing the sandstorm around it. It held the Mightyena up in front of it by its tail and curiously looked it over. The Mightyena had its two font paws over its eyes and was shaking like a leaf, however it noticed the sandstorm was gone now and slowly raised its paws from its eyes, checking to see if was okay.

Nope it wasn't okay, the first thing it saw was that it was in mid air now, the second thing it saw was the Flygon in front of it. "Oh so you're a girl?" The Flygon commented as it looked between the Mightyena's hind legs. The Mightyena blushed, completely caught off guard by that random comment. "How about I spare you and fly you off somewhere where we can fight in private?" He again commented, with a rather devious smile forming on his face.

"N-no...no!" The Mightyena shouted as she wiggled around. She saw exactly where the Flygon was looking then blushed furiously. "S-stop looking there!" She yelled out in embarrassment over being checked out like this.

"Aw c'mon! You know you'd like it!" The Flygon said as it raised its free paw up between the Mightyena's legs and tapped it on its womanhood. It let out a yelp of surprise at this and started to get angry that the fact that a Flygon was having it's way with her. She tried to make a bite for the lower part of the Flygon because it was the only part of it that she could reach.

"Like hell!" The Flygon said as it tossed the Mightyena up into the air and hit it in the back with its tail. "I don't like my oral with teeth!" The Flygon shouted as it shook its fist at the Mightyena as it flipped down towards the ground.

The Salamence heard a loud thump next to it and saw a Mightyena bounce off the ground flip up once before landing on the ground again, out cold. The Salamence turned its head up and saw the Flygon flying high up in the air. "Mind checking around for any more of these delinquents?" The Salamence shouted up at the Flygon.

"Sure, wonder if I can find anymore girls!" The Flygon answered as it rubbed its two paws together with a rather perverted smile on its face. "Oh you might want to check your 12'clock there gramps!" He warned as he pointed off in front of the Salamence.

The Salamence turned its head around and drew a breath. Three Mightyena jumped from uphill down towards the Salamence but were all met by a wall of flames that engulfed them. They all barreled down to the ground around the Salamence and rolled down hill, covered with flames still as they tumbled down.

The Salamence flapped its wings and took off into the air, flying to the top of the hill and landing. It saw two more Mightyena that were standing in front of a larger one. They growled at him, warning him to stay back; the large one must have been their leader. The Flygon swooped down and got behind the three remaining Mightyena and landed on the ground roughly, it remembered the larger Mightyena.

"You're that sneaky bastard from last night! Good we can finish our fight!" The Flygon said as it stepped forward. The two Mightyena jumped around and growled deeply at the Flygon as it stepped forward. "Oh yes just try me!" The Flygon confidently taunted as he grinned. The two Mightyena fell for the taunt and charged the Flygon, only to both be swiftly dispatched by the Flygon in one swing of its tail.

"Get the hell out of our territory!" The large Mightyena shouted as it saw the two smaller Mightyena land on the ground around it. The Salamence looked down hill at Zeke and motioned with its head that it was safe to come up. Zeke ran up the hill as fast as he could, followed by Fay who stuck with him closely.

"We'll get out of your territory when we pass through it you damn psychopath." The Salamence said as turned its head towards the leader.

"And what sort of Mightyena attacks humans? I don't know about you but back in Hoenn the Mightyena there actually had a shred of pride and never attacked humans." The Flygon added as he stepped closer to the Mightyena.

"Because we need to feed our pack, human or not it's still prey!" The Mightyena answered. "We need to keep our pack strong and ensure that we thrive and that future generations will live and prosper, if a human or Pokemon is weak enough to fall before us then it will help contribute to that cause!" It added with a growl, feeling justified in its actions.

The Salamence growled to itself lowly in response to it heard, it felt disgusted that a Mightyena actually thought like that. "You're nothing but a mindless monster if you honestly think that. You're not even worthy to lead a pack of scavengers." The Salamence stated as it dug its claws into the ground.

"It's a cruel world you know, if you've got a problem with me then do something about it, it won't change how it works." The Mightyena replied calmly, not really bothered that it could easily die in this situation because it was out matched by not only one but two Pokemon here.

"No but one less monster is always a welcomed addition to the cause." The Salamence answered as it drew a breath, getting ready to make an attack.

"Hold it!" Zeke ordered as he got to the top of the hill, panting from running up hill like he was. "Don't do it, you guys have done enough." Zeke said as caught his breath.

The Salamence breathed out slowly and shook its head, disappointed that Zeke stopped it from ridding the world of another lunatic. 'You worry too much for others Zeke.' The Salamence thought as it sighed to itself.

"You, you're the one from last night aren't you?" Zeke asked as he caught his breath. The Mightyena turned its attention towards Zeke, rather humored that what it considered to be dinner was actually talking to it. "I don't know what the hell your problem is but we're just passing through, we don't want any trouble. But if you insist on keeping this crap up we can end this right now. So I'd suggest you go collect your pack and stay far away from us because I won't be this kind the next time you try this." Zeke warned as he looked it in the eyes.

The Mightyena was half impressed that a human was speaking to it in such a manner, there was something very commanding of the trainer that almost compelled it to listen and go away. However it knew a lot of that confidence came from having his Pokemon there so he shouldn't really be that impressed. It looked around slowly and surveyed the damage that Zeke's Pokemon had done, almost all of the able members of its pack were out for the count. It knew today was a devastating defeat against a trainer it didn't stand any chance against.

The Mightyena grinned to itself and nodded towards Zeke before turning to the forest and calmly walking away, quickly disappearing back into the forest of which it came. Fay stared at Zeke in awe, he just told off that Mightyena like it was nothing, she didn't really think of the fact it was helpless in that situation or anything, she just thought of how amazing her trainer was, at least how amazing he was in her own mind, which frankly was the only thing that really mattered to her.

After it left, Zeke let out a sigh of relief. "Well, glad that's over." Zeke said to himself as he looked around at the damage that his two Pokemon had caused. "Did you guys badly hurt any?" Zeke asked out of concern of the downed Mightyena's. Both the Salamence and Flygon shook their heads; they were both careful with their attacks and made sure not to put their lives in danger. "Good...I guess it wouldn't be too much trouble to ask you guys to accompany us for the rest of the day?" Zeke asked as he rubbed the back of his head and laughed nervously.

They both nodded in response and flew up into the air to keep watch of the area, leaving Zeke and Fay alone pretty much. "Heh...well should we continue off then?" Zeke asked as he turned his head over towards Fay. She was still looking at him in awe. She slowly nodded and followed him slowly after he took several steps down the path.

As they walked down the path for awhile Zeke had noticed Fay was very silent now, looking down at the ground in front of her with her front paws together, tapping them together like she was thinking about something. "Just think you'll be as strong as they are one day." Zeke commented out of the blue, trying to strike up a small conversation of sorts.

Fay looked up at him, not really believing she would be as strong as his other Pokemon, she couldn't even take on one of them, yet his other Pokemon could take on a whole group of them like it was absolutely nothing. Zeke saw the unconvinced look on her face and grinned to himself.

"Well you won't be that strong over night granted...but I'll try to get you as strong as I can once I do start training you. But I've decided that I won't be making you stronger for me, I'll be making you stronger for yourself." Zeke said as he turned his head back forward, down the path.

"I can tell you want to be as strong as they are, not to be strong, but to protect me, right?" Zeke asked as he turned his head back towards her. She turned her head down and blushed in response. Yes, yes she did want to protect him...she wanted to be the only one protecting him...she just wanted to be the one thing he would always turn to for well, everything.

"Well I promise I'll give you that strength, if I can't then I've obviously failed you as a trainer. But I don't want to fail, and I always keep my word. So I'll be sure to hold up my end of that promise if I like it or not, alright?" Zeke said confidently. It translated extremely well over to Fay, she felt very motivated from his words.

"Bui!" She cheered as he raised a paw in the air with a quick nod of her head. Yes she would get stronger, a lot stronger, she had the most amazing trainer in the world after all, she would definitely get as strong as that Salamence and Flygon were...and eventually stronger than them both, not for herself...but for him.

Zeke smiled and turned his head back to the front of him with a smile on his face, he was glad he was able to make her feel better. He reached into his pocket and flipped out his Pokénav to see how much further they had to go, they were set behind by a slight bit due to the trouble they just had but it wasn't of much concern to him now, but it wouldn't hurt to at least hurry to make up for some lost time and put some space between themselves and here.

"Well that little fuss back there slowed us down slightly; we should hurry up to make up for some lost time." Zeke said as he picked up his pace to a slight jog. Fay hurriedly picked up her pace to match his, not wanting to fall behind him. They both continued off towards their goal of Pewter City for the next several hours without any concern about the area around them for a change as they were being watched by Zeke's two other Pokemon along the way.

--------------

"Well this looks like a good spot, I'll set camp up here." Zeke announced as he set down his bags. It was sunset again, the rest of the day for them went by very well without any sign of the pack of Mightyena from earlier anywhere nearby.

The Salamence and Flygon landed on the ground next to Zeke and both sat down to rest, they were flying overhead the whole time keeping watch of the forest. "I shoulda' just took that chick Mightyena out for some fun earlier, dang it, now I'm going to have to spend another night, here, alone, worst of all with you." The Flygon said to himself as he let out a sound sigh.

"I'm glad we think of each other the same way then." The Salamence replied with a grin. The Flygon glared at him with a rather annoyed look. He mumbled something to himself and turned his head over towards Zeke and watched him pitch the tent.

"Nice to see everyone's helping." Zeke sarcastically said as he was working. Fay immediately ran over and tried to help him, although she wasn't sure how so she stood there next to him with an "I want to help" look on her face. Zeke looked over at her and smiled happily. "Oh at least one of you has some manners now!" Zeke said as he petted Fay on the top of her head. He handed her some tools to hold for him while he worked on getting the tent up.

"That Buizel is such a freaking suck up." The Flygon commented with a frown on its face and its arms crossed.

"Well it's not our fault she's the only one out of the three of us who cares to help him now isn't it?" The Salamence replied knowingly with a nod.

"I mean look at her! She's so freaking joyful over just helping him set up a damn tent. It's so sappy it's sickening." The Flygon said as he shook his head.

Their talk with each other was pretty much ignored by Fay; she had her attention focused on Zeke. It didn't take Zeke very long to completely get the tent set up and he did so even faster than usual thanks to her helping him with several small things. "Thank you Fay." Zeke thanked as he petted the top of her head.

"Bui ibui!" She chirruped in response cheerfully, with her tails waving, she was glad she could help him. "Well better get everyone's dinner ready before Flygon gets cranky." Zeke said, earning a glare from the Flygon.

He walked over to his bags and got his Salamence's and Flygon's food ready walked over to them both, setting the bowls in front of them. "Here you go." Zeke said as he sat the bowl down, after he got up he turned around and looked over at Fay. "You can help yourself; your berries are still my gym bag." Zeke said as he pointed over towards his gym bag.

Fay happily nodded with a big smile on her face and wasted no time getting to the gym bag for the Wacan berries that Zeke still had left. "Well I guess I'll make use of what's left of the sunlight and get some firewood; I'll be back in a bit." Zeke announced as he walked off into the forest by himself. Fay had a problem with this however and tried to follow him.

"No, no I don't need to you to help me." Zeke said as he turned around towards her. "I'll be okay, I just need some time to myself anyways, and I'll be back real quick, okay?" Zeke continued as he tried to reinsure her that he would be fine.

"Bui..." She lowly replied with a nod of her head, she just wanted him to be safe is all. The last thing she wanted was him to be hurt after all. But he seemed quite confident that he wouldn't be attacked so it must have been okay...or at least she hoped it was.

Zeke quietly walked off into the forest, quickly vanishing from sight, Fay's heart sunk slightly as soon as she completely lost sight of him, the only thing she could really do now is hope for the best. She sighed and returned over towards Zeke's gym bag to get a Wacan berry, maybe which would help ease her nerves slightly.

She walked over next to the gym bag and leaned forward into it, digging around, looking for the bag that had the berries in it, she quickly found it and grabbed a berry from it and stood back up. She took a good sized bite out of it and chewed it for a rather long time, worrying to herself about Zeke.

As she did the Flygon and Salamence were just watching her, not really even bothering to eat their food. As they did a rather evil idea crossed the Salamence's mind. He leaned over towards the Flygon which was sitting next to him and whispered something to it, the Flygon listened in and nodded, then smiled evilly, almost bursting out laughing at what the Salamence was saying.

They both turned their attention towards Fay and smiled at her. Fay noticed them both smiling at her after she got done with the Wacan berry she was holding. She looked back at them nervously, the way there were smiling at her was giving her a bad feeling. She stared at them for several minutes as they continued to smile at her, she eventually shivered at how awkward this was.

The Flygon saw her shake and grinned to himself with a small laugh. "So have you and Zeke done it yet?" He asked in a mischievous tone with his tail waving from left to right.

Fay looked at him, completely not getting the question he just asked. After a few seconds she worked up her courage to respond. "D-done what?" She asked nervously.

"It." The Salamence answered bluntly with a grin on his face.

"What's 'it'?" Fay asked, still not getting what they were asking.

"Mate with him." Both the Flygon and Salamence bluntly said at the same time.

Fay immediately bolted back with an extremely deep blush that stood out against her fur in a painfully obvious way despite the pink haze that lit the area. "N-no!" She snapped back immediately. "Why would you even say such a thing?!?! He's a human!" She added in her defense.

The Flygon fell over backwards laughing and kicking his legs his legs in the air. The Salamence laughed to himself with a knowing look on his face. Fay blinked at them, completely confused at what was going on now. "You know it isn't good to say no to something then blush over it." The Salamence replied calmly after forcing back the urge to laugh.

Fay blinked a few times and felt her face, it was warm. She quickly turned her head away, rather ashamed with herself over the fact that yes; she was blushing over something as wrong as this.

"So I take it you like him?" The Salamence asked, wanting to know how she felt about Zeke.

Fay immediately bolted her head back around towards the Salamence at that comment. "N-no!" She replied nervously. "I don't! That sort of things wrong! It's...it just...it's...," Fay continued although she got caught up in her own words, the fact was he couldn't exactly find a reason it was really wrong. "...It just is!" She finished, not finding anything else to say.

"So you don't see anything wrong with it personally?" The Salamence asked, wanting to poke further into what she thought of the subject.

"Well...I...um..." Fay muttered out in response, she was desperately trying to think of something to justify the fact that it was wrong but she couldn't, yes humans and Pokemon are different in many ways but if they can be friends...surely they can be even more than that.

"You don't do you?" The Salamence asked, knowing the answer to that was obviously no. Indeed he was right on the money with her; she just couldn't really see what was wrong with it...especially with someone like Zeke.

She hung her head low ashamed with herself, she would be considered an outcast to her society because of this, it was forbidden. She slowly shook her head no with a depressed look on her still blushed face.

"My, my, your rather gutsy aren't you?" The Salamence cheerfully replied with a laugh. She looked up at him, half surprised that he didn't call her a freak or anything. "So I'll ask again, do you like him? Answer me honestly now, with your feelings, not what the world views of it." He asked again, getting rather confident with where this was going now.

"I...," Fay mumbled, completely confused with her feelings now. "...Yes..." She muttered out without thinking, not realizing that she said yes until it was too late. She then covered her mouth with her eyes open wide. "I mean no!" She shouted as she shook her head, completely embarrassed by that.

The Flygon finally got up, catching its breath and snickering at that last statement. "You already said yes you twit, besides that blush on your face is obviously a yes that you do, you're a Buizel who wants to do a human, no shame there really." He bluntly remarked with a grin.

She looked at the Flygon, rather lost for words now due to his blunt summary of it. "Zip it." The Salamence impatiently said. The Flygon glared over at the Salamence, rather annoyed by that remark. "So again, do you like him, yes or no?" He asked, wanting to get an absolute answer from her.

Fay thought to herself, did she...really like him? It was only awhile ago that she was stuck with some self centered egotistical lunatic of a human...and now she was with a human who was kind, selfless and caring. Did she really like him or was it just her emotions playing tricks with her? Well there wasn't any denying that he was everything that she really wanted in a male Pokemon...and so much more too...

Oh hell who was she kidding now? He's her dream mate, everything that she could ever want really...but a human, sure he can't understand her, sure they can't have a family, sure it was a rather huge sin to the world. But love is still love, and she loved him.

"...Yes...I do..." She slowly replied, ashamed that she was admitting to this like she was, especially with two Pokemon she didn't really even know aside from the fact they were both Zeke's Pokemon.

The Salamence smiled in response to her answer. "Well it's nice to see you're so fond of our dear old trainer then, I suppose an introduction is in order then." He cheerfully said as he drew a breath. "My names Cipher, I'm Zeke's first Pokemon and long time friend." He announced as he got up to his feet.

The Flygon sighed and figured he should introduce himself too. "And this sexy, lean, mean, green, fighting machine goes by the name of Thal. I haven't been with Zeke as long as the old fart over there but Zeke caught me a rather long time back, so I've been with him for quite a few cycles myself " He too announced, getting up to his feet.

"Hello...nice to meet you both." Fay responded nervously. "My names...," She said before pausing, she was about to tell them her real name but...she didn't really need too now, she was to be known now by the name Zeke gave her now...it was the symbol of her new life now. "My names Fay, as you both know I've only met Zeke just several short days ago..." She said with a faint laugh as she rubbed the back of her head.

"Yes, yes Fay, interesting name Zeke gave you, it's actually a very special one." Cipher said as he nodded to himself. Fay blinked at him, wondering what he meant.

"Special?" Fay curiously asked, tilting her head slightly.

"Uh oh, brace yourself kid, he's going to share ancient history with you." Thal warned with a smirk on his face.

"Can it." Cipher bitterly snapped as he turned his head towards Thal, then returning his head towards Fay. "Anyways, you see it's a name of an extremely dear friend of his when he was younger, possibly the dearest friend he's really ever had...and one that he's spent the last nine cycles of his life sad over." Cipher explained before pausing.

Fay was rather bewildered that Zeke actually gave her a name like that, it must have really meant a lot to him. "Wha...what happened?" She asked, wanting to know why Zeke was exactly sad over his old friend.

"She moved away when he was young, he's had a really difficult childhood and well...she was the only human who really stood by him, believing in him through thick and thin. She was a true friend to him, and well...I believe she was the first thing he really ever truly loved." Cipher continued.

Fay's blush flared back up again after hearing that, she found it sad that Zeke lost his best friend like that but...she couldn't help but feel overjoyed by the fact that Zeke gave her a name of someone he loved, it must have meant she was very special to him.

"You must be rather special to him if he gave you that name, he's closed himself off from emotional contact with most other humans and Pokemon alike after that day, in fact, and he hasn't really gotten that close to anyone since th--" Cipher said before being cut off.

"Liar, the bastard flirts with females now and then." Thal remarked with a quick flick of his tail. Cipher glared over at him half annoyed at that comment.

"They don't count." Cipher sternly replied.

"Why because he doesn't get any?" Thal asked.

"No because he doesn't really go further with them than maybe talking with them for awhile." Cipher explained.

"This is why he isn't getting laid! He spends too much time on the foreplay and doesn't go for the good stuff!" Thal exclaimed in response.

"There is such a thing as actually getting to know your mate you know, that's a part of love I think." Cipher replied, shaking his head.

"There are two kinds of love! Two!" Thal said as he held a paw out with two claws raised. "There's love, and then there's good love, I'm only interested in the good love!" He continued with a grin.

Cipher shook his head in disbelief with Thal, he had to be one of THE most immature and clueless Pokemon he's ever met. "Anyways..." Cipher said as he turned his attention towards Fay again. "I think somewhere deep down Zeke cares about you in a way he hasn't openly cared about anything else in a very long time." He stated to her, letting out a held breath.

"Although you're intentions with him are slightly...questionable...getting him to be your mate won't be easy considering the fact that even I don't know how he would react to a Pokemon wanting him as a mate. But...if you manage to pull it off he will certainly be a lot happier, enough to completely open up to his old self again." Cipher continued to explain to Fay.

Fay looked down at the ground, nervously circling the tips of her two front paws together, and thinking of what she could possibly ever do with that given fact. Despite how strongly she felt for him...that was a problem, actually getting him to go along with the idea of having a Pokemon as a mate.

Any normal trainer would be repulsed by such a concept, and the ones who weren't were usually of the wrong sort, not doing that for "love" but other reasons. She had no clue as to what Zeke's views on the subject would be, she had no real way of finding out either, nor did she really even have a real way of even ASKING him to be her mate to start with.

"T-thank you..." She said, thinking to herself about what she should do now. Cipher smiled back at her and nodded. Thal on the other hand grinned to himself.

"So how are you going to get him to do you? Act all nice and sweet and lull him into a false sense of security before you make your move? Get a little bit too friendly with him when he brings you into the tent with him again tonight? Rape hi--" Thal said before he got cut off by Cipher.

"Thal, cut it out before I demonstrate something that's even ruder than cutting into other peoples conversations." Cipher warned him in an impatient tone. Thal looked back at Cipher and stuck his tongue out at him with his crossed his arms.

"Well...I...honestly don't...know..." Fay answered, puzzled over how she could actually ever get Zeke. The more she thought about it, the more hopeless it seemed, there just wasn't any way to get a human, especially one like that, and was there?

"Don't worry," Cipher said after seeing the really lost look on Fay's face now. "If you love him, then there isn't any reason why you shouldn't have him, human or not. I'm sure Zeke understands this too, he's actually quite well thought out for a human." He explained, trying to ease her feelings and encourage her.

"Thank you." Fay said bowing towards Cipher slightly with both of her paws held together. "Thanks again for telling me all of this, I don't know how it will happen but...I just hope it will all work out in the end...thank you Cipher." She continued, feeling a little bit better now but of course she still felt encouraged over the daunting task of actually getting him interested in her when she wasn't really even clear on how to even get a male romantically interested in her to start with.

"Hmm..." Cipher hummed as he thought to himself. "Well just do what you can and be as gentle about it as you can, you two have only just met, so it would be best if you two got some solid ground between each other before jumping to something as serious as that." He suggested to her, trying to offer what advice he could.

Fay nodded in agreement with that, it would be unwise for her to be too quick about it...he had to have time to be friends with her first. Although waiting wasn't exactly something she was good at either, whenever she wanted something she would always strive to get it as quickly as possible, Zeke was no different really. She wanted to have him in her paws even now, tenderly embracing him.

She shuddered to herself picturing that, noticing now that her mind was wandering away from the actual "how am I going to make it happen" part. She looked at Cipher with a needing look in her eyes. She needed to know more, as much as she could learn about Zeke from him.

"Is there anything else you can tell me about him that might help? Any of his likes, dislikes? Anything?" She asked with a pleading look now. Cipher blinked at her with a look of surprise at her sudden change of mood.

"Let me think." Cipher said as paused a moment to think to himself. "Well...I can't really tell you what his favorite food is as it's one of those human foods, some personal likes and dislikes of his...well honestly I don't know any real likes of his, he doesn't really show any liking to much honestly, but as for his dislikes...he absolutely hates the cold, he was born in a very warm part of the continent we're both from and grew up there, it never got cold there so he never really got a chance to get used to cold temperatures." He explained.

Fay's heart sort of sank with Zeke's dislike of the cold, she was rather fond of it herself, having belonged to a tribe of Buizel's and Floatzel's who traveled up north to the lands of snow and ice, and she had very fond memories of her time there. This included such things as learning survival in the environment there, the white fluffy ice that coated the whole place and her favorite, the thick ice that covered some of the rivers and lakes, she absolutely loved sliding around on it when she was younger.

Again she caught her mind wandering off again, her past was behind her now, and there wasn't any need to think of that now. "Thank you" She said as she bowed her head. It seemed like she would have to get to know him from the ground up first hand like she's been doing.

Cipher still saw the unsatisfied look on her face and laughed slightly. "Sorry I can't be of anymore help." He apologized as he lowered his head, he really wanted to help her with this but he couldn't really do that much.

"It's fine, really" Fay replied with a warm smile. Thal looked at them both and gagged to himself.

"Gah I swear, there isn't any problem is there? If you want to do Zeke, do him, if you can't do him, th--" Thal said before been cut off by a sudden burst of flames passing him.

"Thal, I said shut up or else, it's rude to burst out saying things like that." Cipher warned him with a low growl.

"Oh please, like a fat slow overgrown Totodile such as you can ever hurt someone as perfect and sexy as I am." Thal proudly said as he placed his paws on his waist proudly.

"Oh yes, how I could ever hurt a perfectly annoying Flygon who is also the sexiest man in the world to himself when he calls himself straight, oh no I definitely couldn't." Cipher sarcastically replied, rolling his eyes.

"Shut it Cipher, you know exactly what I mean behind those witty comebacks and retorts! You know you can't touch this!" Thal proudly proclaimed. "You might be able to take a few hits but you're nowhere near as agile as I am, it takes real skill to be this fast!" He continued.

Cipher took a step towards him and Thal jumped back instinctively, prepared for an attack at him. "And that's a sign of how much respect you've got for a 'slow, overgrown Totodile's' power, now be quiet." Cipher said as withdrew his step and returned to where he was previously standing.

Thal stepped back a few steps to be safe then let out a breath. "So Fay..." Thal said before Cipher looked over at him with a glare, making Thal grin rather evilly. "Saying you do get Zeke, what then? If you think about the only real thing the relationship would be based on is maybe some cuddling, ohh maybe some kissing and maybe...hehehe...mating...," He paused as the grin went wide across his face.

"So you've got the problems of the whole relationship of yours being rather pointless because, well nothing will result of it obviously because he's a human, you've also got to hide that from the world, which I'm sure would suck for you both in you actually both do 'love' each other. But I see that kind of unlikely when there is the given fact that...he can't understand you." Thal stated, pointing out the flaws in Fay's attentions towards Zeke.

Fay looked more saddened with him saying that, yes it was all very true...painfully true. Cipher looked at Fay then at Thal, knowing that Thal was trying to put her down. "Thal, if I didn't know any better I'd say you're trying to keep Zeke to yourself." Cipher said as he shook his head.

"Like hell I do!" Thal snapped back in response, rather disgusted at the thought.

"Then stop trying to put her down then, now...," Cipher replied as he turned his attention towards Fay. "Despite all of the problems the relationship between you and Zeke may have, there is a way to solve at least the worst one of them." He continued.

Fay looked up at Cipher, hopeful with him saying that, anything that could help with well...anything between her and Zeke would be absolutely wonderful. "What is it?" Fay eagerly asked as she stepped forward slightly with an excited look on her face.

Cipher sighed and nodded to himself, knowing that he probably shouldn't tell her of the other thing he had in mind regarding Zeke because that was, well...in the past now, so he should give her the general answer. "A psychic Pokemon might be able to put a mental link between you both, after that you may both be able to speak to one and other telepathically." Cipher answered.

Fay's eyes lit up with those words. Sure she didn't know any psychic Pokemon but she knew that odds were she would run into one while she traveled with Zeke. "Thank you!" Fay excitedly thanked, now feeling extremely hopeful that this whole thing might be able to work if she could just speak with him.

"Well remember, if you do find one it's kind of dependant on what sort of psychic Pokemon it is...I'm sure quite a few would be resistant over helping you with your intentions towards...Zeke...pure and honest they maybe, they probably wouldn't see it the same way." Cipher warned her, letting out a breath.

Fay's head sunk knowing that was probably true. "Pure and honest? HAHAHA!!!" Thal laughed to himself, finding Fay's intentions towards Zeke rather the opposite. "Oh sure, she likes him, but that'll probably grow into something more, then she'll want to do him." He continued, rambling to himself.

He snapped two of his claws together with an enlightened look on his face. "Oh Fay! I just saw the genius of your plan! You'll have a mate you can do with no risk of getting pregnant from, you little devil!" Thal proclaimed as his mind went further into the subject.

Fay looked at Thal surprised that he just accused her of that, she didn't really have anything to say to that either, sure she wanted to say she loved Zeke in her own defense and deny those accusations but that would be ignorant of her as she couldn't exactly say she was in "love" yet truly...this was after all the first time she's felt this way for someone else.

Cipher looked over at Thal with a very displeased look on his face however and shot a Fire Blast at Thal, who swiftly evaded it by flying straight into the air. "Got to be faster than that gramps!" Thal exclaimed proudly as he kept a safe distance from Cipher.

Meanwhile, in the woods Zeke was off gathering firewood, blissfully ignorant of the conversation that was going on camp regarding a certain Buizel's feelings forwards him, however the feelings of that Buizel was the subject of much thought to him right now.

She seemed...different with him, different in a rather bad way too, as much as he distastefully didn't want to admit it, she seemed to...well "like" him more than just a friend, he's noticed all of her reactions forwards him and such and shook it off as her being cute or just shy but now it's getting slightly worrisome.

Could he allow that? To allow her to develop those sorts of feelings towards him? Surely she saw at least SOMETHING wrong with feeling that way towards a human, did she? Interspecies relationships were strictly forbidden on both sides, for humans and Pokemon, because of the obvious and the fact it was really pointless.

Zeke paused for a moment in his thoughts. He's heard quite a few cases of that sort of thing, usually it's some perverted guy sexually abusing a Pokemon like its trash or something, which rather made Zeke sick to him stomach that someone would ever do such things to a Pokemon.

However Zeke's very rarely heard of a case where the human actually loved the Pokemon, and the Pokemon in turn, actually loving the human. And well...it was obvious this Buizel had strong feelings for him, but could he honestly allow that? He thought to himself for a few moments, trying to find an honest answer to that question.

Distastefully, he personally didn't really see much wrong with it, in fact it was slightly inspiring that as rare as it maybe, two individuals would go through such great lengths and odds to be together, just as they would be with their own kind.

Still...Zeke didn't really feel the same in turn for her, sure she was a lot different to be around and he cared for her quite a lot, but he didn't love her. Despite how Fay felt for him, his feelings still governed it that sort of thing would ever happen or not.

"Wait..." Zeke said out loud to himself. "Fay..." He said, just noticing something now. "Damn it!" Zeke shouted to himself, she was more special to him than he wanted to admit, he gave her the name of the single most important friend he's ever had. He knew that when he gave her the name, but now the meaning of it just struck him.

Zeke quickly got a hold of himself and calmed down before he jumped to conclusions. No, he definitely didn't feel the same way about her as she may have felt for him. But despite how he felt, what could he do about the way she felt? He couldn't walk up to her and ask her to not like him in that sort of way, but he couldn't allow her feelings for him to deepen either, if they did...that would far too cruel to put her through to say the least.

He continued going through the woods, collecting any branches he saw and threw them over his shoulder as he thought of a way to stop this without being stupid about it. Sadly he couldn't think of anything, how she felt was her business, he had no right on telling her how she should feel about him, despite how wrong it is. Still...to just simply reject her if she tried anything would be really cruel to her, he knew that would definitely hurt her, and that was the absolute last thing he wanted to do in this situation.

But he simply just couldn't give himself up to her just so that she was happy. It was obvious he wasn't going to find any answers for this now though, it was getting dark and he had plenty of firewood now, it was time to go back to camp to face the music.

-----------

"Howdy eve--" Zeke said before being cut off by his Flygon and Salamence swooping by, Cipher was after Thal for being too rude in their conversation earlier. "Hey Salamence! If you catch him the can you please try not to break any of his bones again? It was annoying having to nurse him back to health after the last time you caught him!" He shouted up at them as they flew around in the air, exchanging attacks at one and other.

"Bui bui bui?" Zeke heard from next to him, he looked down and saw Fay next to him with her front paws offered out, obviously offering to help him with the firewood he was holding.

"Oh no I'm fine, thank you for offering to help Fay." Zeke said cheerfully as he gave her a smile, she returned the smile with one of her own and nodded, then returning over near the tent to sit down as Zeke sat the firewood down, setting up the campfire as sky was being lit up by random shots of flames from Cipher as he tried to hit Thal.

Fay looked up at them, watching them fight each other, they've been at it for a little while now, with no real apparent headway into their fight with each other, with Thal swiftly dodging every attack made at him as well as Cipher. In fact she was half amazed at them, she's never met any Pokemon quite as powerful as they were. They made the Floatzel's in her tribe look like Magikarp's in comparison to them.

Her attention returned to Zeke after a short while when she noticed the campfire go aflame, lighting the area they were camping in up in an orange glow. Zeke looked up at them as they continued to fight each other far above the tree tops for a few moments then returning his attention to Fay, who was looking straight at him.

"Sorry about those two, especially Flygon, it's kind of hard keeping him around Salamence very long without a random bit of conflict going on between those two." Zeke apologized as the pointed up at them. Fay giggled to herself at what he just said; he really had no clue as to the half of it.

"They didn't give you any trouble did they?" Zeke asked her, she shook her head no. "Even Flygon? I was sure he at least would harass you in some way." He laughed, Fay giggled to herself again over the fact that was true, Thal was the only one who really gave her any problems; Cipher was actually very comfortable to be around, like a good friend or a relative.

"Well it looks like those two are going to be at it for awhile, I guess I'll go and get some rest, good night." Zeke said as he turned around towards the tent. As soon as he did however Fay followed him without notice from him until he crawled into the tent to hear her follow him inside. "Fay? What are you doing following me in here?" Zeke blinkingly asked.

"Bu bu bui bu bu...ibu bu bui?" Fay asked, hoping Zeke would let her sleep in here with him again tonight. Zeke looked at her, a little lost by what she just said but he sort of got what she wanted, to sleep in here with him.

"Do you...want to spend the night in here with me?" Zeke asked, trying to clarify what she meant.

"Bui!" Fay answered, nodding her head a few times quickly to get the message across that she wanted too. Zeke thought for a moment on how he should answer that. He was uncomfortable being with her in such a way, plus he didn't really want to deepen any feelings she may have for him by allowing her to bond this much with him.

But...he didn't want to be rude either, she probably feels more secure around Zeke than she does outside, he has protected her a few times now after all. Zeke knew he was going to hate himself for this but he couldn't say no now. "Alright, I'll let you sleep in here with me then." Zeke said as he crawled over next to her and zipped the tent back up.

Fay wasted no time making herself comfortable however, as Zeke zipped the tent up she darted over to the sleeping bag and buried herself in it, turning around and popping her head out of it, awaiting Zeke to come join her. Zeke turned around and saw her looking at him from inside his sleeping bag. 'You've got to be kidding me...' Zeke thought to himself as he stared at her.

Well he definitely wasn't going to sleeping in it with her, which was rather ironic, she's screwed him out of a bed twice...and how his own sleeping bag, it just never ended. He sighed to himself and crawled over to the side of the sleeping bag Fay wasn't in and laid down with his back turned towards her.

Fay noted however that Zeke was in the sleeping bag before and wondered why he wasn't in it now that she was in it. "Bu bui-zel ibu?" Fay asked Zeke, asking if anything was wrong. Zeke turned around and looked at her, wondering what she just said. Fay noticed the clueless look on Zeke's face so she should try to give him an example.

She opened up the inside of the sleeping bag as much as she could manage and looked at Zeke. He blinked a few times and registered what she was asking of him now; she wanted him to sleep in the bag...WITH her. Zeke immediately felt uncomfortable with that, but as distasteful as it was for him personally...she was the one asking him.

Zeke paused for a moment and worked up his courage, she's just a Buizel he told himself as he looked at her. But as he told himself that he heard a voice in the back of his head yell at him "It's only a Buizel who wants you!"

He sighed and figured he shouldn't complain and just get it over with so he wouldn't be uncomfortable with this anymore. He unzipped the sleeping bag and slid himself inside it before zipping it back up and lying down. He looked over next to himself and saw Fay looking back at him with a cheery smile on her face. She was so cute...why would he ever feel uncomfortable being around something as cute as her?

Granted, despite the fact she's impossibly cute...it was the fact that she's a 'her' and the added fact of her intentions towards him that made him uncomfortable now. Zeke turned his head up and let out a breath and closed his eyes, trying to cancel out his personal thoughts of this and just accepting it.

However his mind went into crisis mode as soon as he felt her get on top of him. He opened his eyes and saw her face right in front of his again, just hovering no more than an inch from his own face, smiling at him. Zeke stared at her wide eyed for a few moments with his body again paralyzed from the fact that she could probably kiss him now if she wanted too.

His fears came to their peak when he saw her lower her face down to him, but she just nuzzled her face up against his, cooing softly to show him some affection before resting her head next to his. Zeke blinked for a few moments wondering what in the hell just happened, but it seemed to be fine now as she seemed to be resting now.

He shuddered to himself over the moment he just went through. He was almost kissed by her but was instead nuzzled in what was probably the single most uncomfortable moment of his life. But despite how uncomfortable it was it wasn't all that bad, the feeling of her soft, two textured orange and cream fur rub against his face like that was rather nice.

'Wow. I'm horrible.' Zeke thought to himself in surprise, he actually kind of enjoyed that moment in a way. He looked down slightly and saw her laying atop of him, with the bright yellow floatation ring around her neck being the most visible thing, which was just on his shoulder acting as a cushion for her.

The rest of her body was in the sleeping bag resting on top of his body, almost covering the top of his body completely all the way down to his waist. One thing he had to give her credit for, she was rather nice and warm to have under the sleeping bag with him like this. He could actually see himself making a habit out of this during the winter months.

The good thoughts of the current situation he was in helped ease any uneasy feelings he had, yes this was all pretty uncomfortable but he had to make the most of it, she was an inescapable part of his life now. He was going to have to come to terms with all of this and just accept it for what it was now, he didn't have any excuses not too.

Zeke let out a held breath and closed his eyes, slowly drifting off to sleep as his mind slowly calmed down. Tomorrow is going to be a new day with many paths leading to the next one. 'And just which one will you take?' He thought to himself as he slowly opened his left eye and looked at Fay one last time.

'Whichever one you take...I hope it's the right one...' He thought as he closed his eye again, going off to sleep for the night.

"Stories of a Trainer: Zeke"... Well, that is a very weak title. You could (Or should) have chosen a stronger more discriptive one. Such as "Zeke's Adventures" or " Loves Trouble Between Kinds".
Then there is you're incredibly awful grammar... The biggest issue is how many times you mix words up, and other times you didn't use the words appropriately. You also failed to use commas where they were needed most. Commas help the reader to determine when to pause, or stop in a sentence. They're more important than one might think.

A majority of your sentences are run on sentences, or either ones that just don't make sense. The whole story idea is epic and really clever, but you just don't seem to have the writing skills to make this fun to read. Though I didn't see many spelling mistakes, I did catch quite a few typo's.

Aside from the silly and careless mistakes, I really did enjoy reading your story.

Overall, you did a moderately good job, and I envy your skill in idealism.
