Chapter 3
Chapter 3
Bryce woke up face down on the floor. He cracked one eye open and untangled himself from the blanket. He tossed it in a wad on the couch. He put on a pot of coffee, and sat at the table. As he was pouring himself a mug of coffee, he heard something move in the bedroom.
Quietly, he extracted a steak knife from the kitchen drawer. Raising it ready to strike, he slowly pushed open the door.
The knife hit the carpet with a dull thunk.
Absol was laying on Bryce's bed, nestled under the covers, her head resting on her hands. Wait. Hands?! From what Bryce could see, Absol wasn't going to be walking on all fours again. Bryce picked up the knife, and as he straightened up, he saw Absol's eyes flutter open. She spotted the knife in his hand.
"What's that for?" she asked. She spoke from her mouth, which surprised her. She clapped a paw to her muzzle, and sat up. The blanket fell away, revealing a pair of round, succulent breasts hidden under a patch of fur.
"I heard something...moving in here," Bryce managed, his eyes still focused on Absol's chest. Bryce set the knife down on the nightstand, and assisted Absol out of the bed. She tried balancing on two legs instead of four, but kept falling forwards. Holding her hand, he led her to the living room.
"Just try to balance on your hind legs. When you've got your balance, try moving one foot forward. Keep your balance, and walk around," Bryce collapsed onto the couch. Absol was doing well with walking around on two legs, and she sat down on the couch next to Bryce.
He switched on the television to watch the news.
"Early yesterday morning, an unauthorized nuclear test was executed in the forest near Route 119. Mauville Police and the Hoenn Environmental Protection Agency have been investigating since the radiation from the test has had adverse effects in various trainers' Pokemon. The radiation had temporarily disabled television signals and in the sudden change in weather. The cases of mutations have varied from element to element. The most bizarre afflicting the Dark type, who has been reported having an anthropomorphic form, and the most tragic being the Psychic type, who have been reported at the least having a severe brain condition, and the worst being fatal.
Bryce suddenly felt a lead weight drop in his stomach. Nate should be calling...right...about...now.
The phone rang. Sure enough, it was Nate.
"Bryce, get over here. There's...something I need to show you," Nate hung up.
"Who was that?" Absol asked. She must have heard the conversation, for she spoke quietly.
"Nate needs me over at his house. Do you want to come as well?" he asked, standing up.
She nodded. Bryce looked her over, and sighed. "You'll need clothes before we can go anywhere. As attractive as that is, I don't think Nate would want a naked female in his house right now."
Absol followed him into his bedroom, where he tossed a pair of jeans, socks, and a shirt. She put the pants on, but zipping the fly was difficult due to the ventral fur getting caught. She tried putting the socks on, but her claws tore them to shreds. Bryce saw her hold up the tattered pieces of cloth, and sighed. Since the muffler on his motorcycle got quite hot, she had to wear shoes. He tossed her a pair of sandals, which she put on, her claws undamaging them, but she found them quite uncomfortable. Last came the shirt, which caught on her scythe. Bryce helped her slip it over her scythe, and she was ready to go.
Bryce picked up his keys, and mounted his bike. Absol got on behind him with some difficulty, and wrapped her hands around his waist. He started the bike, and pulled it out of the garage. With the extra weight, the light-framed racing bike had some trouble gaining speed, but eventually it reached 75 as Bryce got on the Interstate.
"What do you think happened?" Absol shouted over the roar of the engine.
"The news report said that the Psychic type have been reported with a severe brain condition due to the radiation from yesterday's nuclear test. The radiation's what gave you a human form, and it probably either damaged Espeon's mind, or it killed her. Either way, Nate's gonna be pissed at me," Bryce replied, heading into Nate's side of town.
He stopped on the driveway, and shut off the engine. He knocked on the door, and Nate opened it, his face streaked with tears, and his shirt covered in dirt.
"Come on in," he choked. Passing through the doorway was like passing through emotions. When Bryce stepped inside, he immediately felt a strong depression.
"I see Absol's...fine," Nate said as he opened the door to his backyard. He led them out into his backyard, where a shallow grave had been dug. There was a stone with "Neko, September 15th, 2009-November 16th, 2021" carved upon its surface.
"I'm saving for a proper headstone..." Nate said, standing over the grave. Bryce heard Nate mutter "Ohne dich, kann ich nicht sein... ich wille abschaffe das, wer dies tat." He saw a couple teardrops land in the dirt in front of him. Bryce placed a shoulder on his mourning friend's shoulder, but he shook it off.
"I'd like to be alone with her right now," he said quietly.
Bryce and Absol turned and left. Bryce started the engine, and headed back home.
Bryce was sitting on the couch with Absol when he thought of what Nate had said... Ohne dich kann ich nicht sein... ich wille abschaffe das, wer dies tat. "Without you, I can not be...I will abolish the one who did this." It was a death threat. Or was it a suicide threat? Bryce couldn't tell. Death can do things to people, make them crazy, even homicidal. Nate was a strong-willed person, he'd get over it.
"Do you have anything to do soon?" Absol asked. She leaned against his arm, her head on his shoulder.
"On Monday I have to be at the Precinct at noon to get my equipment and my cruiser. Though, I'm not licensed to drive a car, only a motorcycle." Bryce was looking out the window when he realized something. "I'm sure it was uncomfortable for you to wear my clothing, but if you're going to be coming with me anywhere, you're going to have to wear clothes."
"But they're so uncomfortable!" Absol protested.
"Very well, if you wanna get arrested..." Bryce said.
"I can get arrested for that?"
"Yeah, anyone can get arrested for exposing genitalia, it's a crime, and since I'm an officer, as soon as you stepped out that door, you'd be in handcuffs."
She sighed in defeat. "Fine, let's go."
She put the clothes on that she was wearing before, and Bryce started his motorcycle and drove off to Mauville Square.
Bryce parked his bike and shut off the engine. Looking around, Bryce saw a ton of Dark Pokemon walking with their trainers, and a few other types. Bryce opened the door to the clothing store and led her to the women's section.
She picked out a black T-shirt, and blue jeans. Before she entered the changing room, she plucked a package of underwear off of a hanger. Bryce sat in the bench next to the fitting room, and ran Nate's statement through his head. "Without you, I cannot be...I will abolish the one who did this." He was awoken from his thought by a sharp rap on his head.
"I said, 'how does this look?'" Absol said, standing over him. The jeans were flared at the bottom, her toe claws poking out from under the pantleg. The shirt hid her breasts well, which should avert most eyes. Though Bryce did suggest a bra. She's going through enough by just wearing clothes, so he guessed she wouldn't NEED a bra.
"Very nice. Change back and let's get going," Bryce said, standing up. Absol went back and changed, and Bryce put the clothes in a bag and headed for the check-out lane. Only two were open, and they were crammed with other shoppers.
Bryce sighed. "You'd think they'd put in an express lane."
Absol nuzzled him. "Don't worry, it's only one outfit, it shouldn't take long."
The girl in front of them was with her male Murkrow. She was talking with a friend that was with her when she dropped a bag in her hand. Absol picked it up and handed it to her.
"Keep your doom-bringing paws off of my stuff!" she said angrily. Absol's scythe became sharp.
"What...did...you...say?" she growled, her hands curling into fists. The girl's eyes widened, and started backing away.
"Murkrow...help?" she squeaked.
The large bird shook his head. "I'm not going to save you from every threat created by your attitude," he said. Bryce had to admit that he was enjoying this. Absol continued advancing on the terrified girl until Bryce placed a hand on her shoulder, signaling that that was enough.
The girl kept her eyes on Absol's scythe, which was still sharp, as she checked out the clothing that she had purchased. She quickly ran away, leaving Bryce and Absol to check out their clothes.
Absol slid the bag over her arm as Bryce started the engine and headed home.
Bryce parked his bike and went inside. Absol tossed the bag on the couch, and removed her clothes. She tossed them into the bedroom. She sat down on the bench on the porch, and Bryce dropped next to her. Like she had before, she leaned on his arm and rested her head on his shoulder. She felt the muscles in his shoulder move as he put an arm around her, his hand resting on her stomach.
"I can't really help feeling sorry for what happened to Nate," she said softly. They sat together in silence, watching the sunset. She could see her breath curl in front of her in the chilly autumn air.
Bryce nodded. "It hurt him pretty bad. I keep thinking about what he said..."
"What did he say?" Absol asked, moving closer to him.
"'Ohne dich kann ich nicht sein... ich wille abschaffe das, wer dies tat.' It means 'Without you I cannot be...I will abolish the one who did this' in German."
"What could he mean by that?"
"I don't know. I'm sure it was out of anger or sadness."
Absol moved closer to him still. With the sun descending below the trees, the temperature dropped considerably.
"I couldn't stand losing you," she whispered. It was almost dark now, casting them in shade. She turned her head and kissed him. Bryce kissed her back, embracing her.
She pulled away. "I think we should continue this in the bedroom." She got up, and walked to the bedroom, with Bryce following her. She made sure to sway her rear as she walked, to keep Bryce interested.
She opened the door to the bedroom, and sat down on the edge. When Bryce sat next to her, she pulled him on top of her, and kissed him deeply. She wrapped her tongue around his, but he wriggled out of her grasp. While the battle in their mouths raged on, Bryce's hand snaked up Absol's stomach and worked its way under her patch of fur. He stopped over her breast, and he rubbed her nipple in circles.
Bryce's other hand went between Absol's legs, where he stuck two fingers inside of her and stroked her. She unzipped Bryce's jeans, and slipped a paw into his underpants. It was already hard. She slipped his jeans down, and began to jack him off. Bryce removed his shirt, and resumed kissing her while he stroked her hot hole.
Absol moved her paw faster, and Bryce began to pump his hand in her vagina. Absol whimpered as she neared her orgasm, and went as fast as she could. Bryce did the same, and she released as she felt Bryce's hot cum splash onto her stomach. Bryce was ready for penetration, but waited until she caught her breath before entering her.
Bryce began thrusting slowly, enjoying the tight warmth that clamped around his cock. Absol rolled over, so that she was on top. She raised her hips and slammed down on him. As she humped him, she began rubbing her breasts, sending a wave of pleasure surging through her body. She stopped rubbing herself and started humping him faster. Bryce reached up and squeezed one of her breasts while he took the other one into his mouth. He continued to knead her breast as he licked the now hardened nipple. Bryce guided her along, as he felt the heat between his balls and his cock. He lowered Absol onto her back, and rammed in one final time, firing off inside of her with never-ending power. Absol screamed and wrapped her legs around Bryce as she felt him release, and she hit again, drenching Bryce's midsection.
A few minutes later, they lay together beneath the blankets.
"Bryce, I want you to promise me one thing," Absol said, lifting her head from the pillow.
"What's that?"
"Be safe. If you're in a chase, please be careful. I love you, and I don't want you hurt."
Bryce stroked ran his hand along the side of her head. "I promise."
They embraced, and fell asleep in each others arms.
Bryce woke up face down on the floor. He cracked one eye open and untangled himself from the blanket. He tossed it in a wad on the couch. He put on a pot of coffee, and sat at the table. As he was pouring himself a mug of coffee, he heard something move in the bedroom.
