A Matter of Destiny by dmitri

A Matter of Destine

A sea of trees, that's what she called them. It was a funny saying. The very metaphor was absurd; you can't swim in the trees, they don't make you wet. Yet it was the only way Seventh could describe it. The wind picked up. The trees came alive suddenly as the air brushed past ten thousand million leaves and branches all at once. The sound that Seventh heard was like a tremendous wave crashing against the rocks. Indeed, this was a sea of trees. Seventh closed his eyes and smiled, when he closed his eyes to listen to the wind rushing past his ears it reminded him of the beach. The swelling waves, the salty spray coating his lips, the sand between his toes, all of these pleasant sensations he summoned with his mind. The images were so real he could feel the little droplets of water clinging to his fur, the sound of the crashing waves daring him forward, into the forbidding, vast water. The sea of trees was aptly named.

Seventh never considered himself a lucky houndoom, indeed most of his life had been spent living up to his name. Seven was a black number among his kind, the seventh was the unluckiest of them all. He had been so named because he was the seventh of his litter, a runt. His six brothers were faster, stronger, more attractive and quicker witted, he had no advantage against them; he was a Seventh. The alpha of Seventh's pack... his old pack that is, had explained with some sympathy that houndooms were only meant to have litters of six. Houndoom females only have six nipples to nurse their children with, their bodies only have enough nutrients to support six in her belly. Seventh's old alpha said he'd only seen two sevenths in his life, Seventh and another. The alpha had offered to Seventh's mother to spare Seventh the hardship of being only half a houndoom, but she refused after some consideration. Growing up, Seventh was more pitied than hated, he didn't get picked on by other families because his brothers protected him.

Speaking of his brothers... "Tobias should've been here an hour ago." Seventh gave a low, grumbling growl. Tobias was the sixth, if only Seventh hadn't been so cordial coming out of his mother's womb he might have had Tobias' place... Tobias' life. The difference between six and seven was almost striking. Tobias had powerful, well formed muscles, a fierce jaw housing a row of deadly canines, sleek, black fur that shined in the sun and a healthy, whiplike tail. Comparatively Seventh had shaggy, ragged fur, a lazy tail that sometimes dragged on the floor, and was about half the size of his elder by three seconds brother. The difference in punctuality was striking too, Seventh, at least, was always on time.

"What ho little brother!" Seventh heard a cheery voice ring out. Seventh growled gutturally, "Where were you! What if I'd gotten attacked!? There are a lot of Khangaskahn in this area!" Seventh ranted, but he knew the answer.
"My Meesha kept me from you little brother, I'm sorry but women are very demanding." Tobias smiled apologetically, "One day you'll understand."
Seventh would've swiped that smile right off his brother's face if he had the power to. 'One day you'll understand? Like there's some houndoom bitch out there who'll pity me enough to mate with me?!' Seventh kept his backlash to himself as he turned and walked away from his brother, "We're late," he growled simply. His cheerful brother followed close by, a small spring in his step.

Seventh had swooned for Meesha for a while, full knowing he wasn't a good match for her. As they got older it was clear who she would choose between the brothers, Tobias would be a stronger father, he would give her stronger cubs. It was just another thing the envious Seventh wanted from his better formed, luckier brother. Seventh and Tobias stalked the forest, keeping low and keeping their footfalls as silent as possible. Hunting duty was a menial task for most houndooms, but for Seventh it was quite a challenge. As it was one of the few useful tasks Seventh could do, he was often assigned it with one of his brothers. Seventh's curved horns tingled, danger was near.

Seventh stopped and Tobias followed his lead. Pricking their ears and bristling their fur, they sensed. The wind swept the canopy of the forest once more, another wave crashing over the rocks. Their eyes scanned their immediate surroundings, eagerly drinking in all the information they could. Their sharp senses alert for the slightest disturbance, the smallest piece of information that would... a footfall! Seventh whipped his head around to look at his brother, Tobias nodded and leapt for the bushes, Seventh followed. They listened from the relative cover of the bush, Seventh nestling close to his brother to whisper strategy, he flinched in pain, "Shit! A thorn in my ass!" he whispered, frustrated.
Tobias chuckled, "Hopefully that's the only bad luck you have today," he replied, smiling.
Seventh ignored the comment, and focused on the walking sound, "It's too small to be a Khangaskahn," he said softly, trying to pinpoint the travelling creature.
Tobia remained silent, listening, suddenly, he thrusted forward with his nose, "There!" Seventh squinted in the direction Tobias had indicated. A rustle of leaves later, a human emerged.

He was tall, and he stretched to make himself taller. Yawning broadly he put a small, red cap on. "I'm not sure we'll find any pokemon today Rattata." The young boy looked visibly disappointed. "Ratta!" The cheerful rattata responded. The boy sighed and stretched again, "Are you sure you smelled something?" the trainer asked, looking down at the confused rat.
Seventh bowed his head in shame, 'Tracked by a rattata...' The significance of what the trainer said went past Tobias, who had since relaxed. It was an unwritten rule, since the wars of the ancients, that humans were not to be killed by pokemon. This rule was so hard coded that it could not be broken, expect by the mad and deranged. Seventh and Tobias did not have to be taught the rule, they simply knew it from birth. Humans were not to be harmed. Though no such taboo was upon a trainer's pokemon...

Just then, a ray of energy blasted at the Trainer's feet. A small clump of dirt kicked up, hurling itself at the trainer's legs. The trainer stumbled back clumsily and looked around, "Look out rattata! There's a pokemon around!" A small, black figure leapt out from the bushes. A fox-like creature, as black as the night that spawned it. Nukeon glared at the trainer, narrowing her steely eyes at him, ready for a battle. Seventh startled when he saw the little eeveelution, Tobias yawned boredly, "Stupid idiot, she want to get hurt or something?"
Seventh almost snapped at him furiously, but bit his tongue, there was no way he'd understand. The trainer already had his pokedex out, and Seventh was startled by the whirr of the mechanical dexter, "Nukeon, the radiation pokemon. Evolved from an Eevee by the rare Radiation Stone, Nukeon's abilities are as yet undocumented."

The trainer gawked at the nukeon and quickly pointed at it, "A rare pokemon! Quick rattata, megahorn!" The rattata got ready to attack, its' tail twitching in the air as its' fur bristled with energy. Diggin its' claws into the dirt, the rattata was about to leap when it heard the attack! 'Did he say megahorn?' the rattata asked itself, confused. It looked up at its' master with a puzzled look on its' face, "Ratta?"
The trainer looked equally confused, "What the fuck do you mean you don't have megahorn?! What've I been teaching you all day?"
Rattata grunted and shook his head. Suddenly, the nukeon charged at his flank. Rattata only whipped around in enough time to take a hard headbutt to his side. With bonecrunching force the attack connected, sending rattata flying and rolling in the dirt. "Oh no! Rattata!" The trainer cried in concern, holding his head worriedly.

Tobias snorted and chuckled, "Oh god! I feel sorry for that poor thing." Tobias laughed and shook his head, "Trainers THIS bad shouldn't even be able to get to this level..."
"How can you laugh!" Seventh growled in indignation, "We have to help."
Tobias looked over to his brother, surprised at his change in character, "What? You want to help the Nukeon? The trainer needs more help than she does..."
Seventh growled, behind him another blast of green energy connected with the rattata, while the trainer furiously wracked his brains for one of his rattata's attacks. "He has more than one pokemon, this isn't a fair fight!" Seventh declared, getting up from his hiding place, he leapt into action, growling dangerously. The nukeon was surprised as she whipped around, "Nuki?" She questioned.

It only took a moment of distraction. Trainer Fred wasn't nearly as incompetent as he made out to be. Underneath his harmlessly foolish exterior lay a master pokemon trainer, he'd beaten seven pokemon leagues, several hundred pokemon trainers and his collection of pokemon ranged somewhere in the thousands. Fred saw the nukeon get distracted as one of the two houndooms hiding in the nearby bushes rushed in to help, and it only took a second to throw an ultraball. The ultraball hit Nukeon with deadly accuracy, Seventh had only had a split second to comprehend. Seventh looked dumbly at the large ultraball, it wriggled as its' occupant struggled, but before long its' occupant struggled no more.

The trainer pumped his fist in the air, "Alright! I caught a Nukeon!" Fred laughed happily. "I think I'll call her Imperial, what d'ya think Rattata?" he looked down at the small pokemon, who, for all the hits he'd taken seemed barely hurt. "I like it!" He said in pokemon-ish. Fred chuckled and folded his arms across his chest, considering the houndoom in front of him. Seventh was angry. He was really angry. Seventh raged with the fury of a storm, they caught his Ryuin! Seventh barked at the rattata, "Release her!" he said, shuddering with fury. The rattata looked over at Seventh and got ready to fight, its' hair bristling and its' tail twitching nervously.

"He looks a bit scrawny rattata, I don't think we should waste our time." Fred said, sizing the houndoom up, "Bit of a runt really..."
"Goddamnit let her go!" Seventh screamed, mustering up the fire for his flamethrower in his throat as he shook angrily.
"Seventh!" Tobias yelled, revealing himself, "Get away from him! Can't you see he's gonna catch you?"
Seventh shot a glare in Tobias' direction, "Get lost Tobias, he just caught my fucking mate!" Seventh shook with distress, "My Ryuin..."
Fred looked on impassively as the pokemon argued, rubbing his chin considerately, "The first houndoom might not be any good, but that second one's a specimen." He looked at it appreciatively, already planning some techniques he could teach the other Houndoom. Rattata looked up at his trainer, "Master, the smaller houndoom is Imperial's mate," It informed him.
Fred quirked an eyebrow at the small creature, "You say the small one's married to Nukeon? Hah! I might catch him yet, after all you've gotta keep your monster's happy."

The rattata cleared its' throat, "Seventh was it?" he piped up at the arguing houndooms. The smaller one looked over, giving a low growl, "What!" he demanded. The rattata spoke clearly, "Master wants you to come with us, you can be with your mate." Fred growled and glowered at the small rattata.
"Seventh! Come back to the family with me!" Tobias spoke in an imposing tone, "You shouldn't be with a nukeon anyway! You know you'd never be accepted in the pack."
"I love her!" He said to Tobias defiantly, and to the rattata, "And she's no pet of yours! Release her!" He demanded for the third time, this time though, his demand was followed by a powerful blast of flames that spewed from his mouth. Rattata, unlike the headbutts and tackled he suffered at Ryuin's hands, easily dodged the blast and gave Seventh a harsh look, "Don't be an idiot, if you love her then come with us!"
"Come back to your family Seventh, you'll never be happy without us." Tobias put in.

Seventh looked between the two, the realisation dawning over him slowly. He had to make a decision. On the one hand, there was his brother, on the other, his lover. He looked over at the rattata, "I'd like to speak with her please." He said solemnly. The rattata looked up at his trainer and ferried the request. The trainer nodded slowly and commanded, "Imperial! Go!" The ultraball clicked and an audible 'ding' sound was heard. Bright white energy surrounded the air, taking the shape of his lover. Seventh's heart leapt for joy as he snuffled her fussily. Ryuin giggled and nuzzled her mate back, "Hello Seventh, how are you?" She asked, her words filled with loving tones. Seventh smiled and gave her a tremendous lick across the cheek, "Ryuin, what are you thinking!" He demanded, "Why did you attack the trainer?!"
Ryuin giggled in her disarming way, "I thought it'd be fun," her response as simple as it was infuriating. Seventh shook his head at her, "Don't you realise? You're his pokemon now! You have to do whatever he says!"
Ryuin smiled, her tail waving nonchalantly, "Don't you realise you can come with me, Seventh? As my mate, not your secret shame?"

Her words struck a chord with Seventh. His relationship with Ryuin had been a secret. He'd never directly thought of his actions as shameful, but it was true he would lie about seeing her. He was afraid how his family would react, he felt like he'd betrayed them when he'd fallen in love with her. Was she his shame? Tobias still looked shocked, dumbfounded that his own brother had kept this from his family. "She's a girl, she's not worth your family Seventh," was the only thing he could counter with.
Seventh looked back to Tobias, he loved his brother, a deep familial love. He loved Ryuin with passion and fire, she stirred powerful emotions inside of him. She evoked in his heart feelings of peace and belonging, where he didn't belong with his family, being the weakest of seven brothers, he belonged with his mate, being her stoic protector. The trees blew, and the waves crashed, a sea of trees, she had taught him that. He was her protector, how would he protect her wheen she was jetsetting with this trainer? Seventh's choice became clear, as he looked at Tobias steadily, "You're wrong, brother. I am Seventh, and she is Ryuin, my mate." Seventh said, with a composure that impressed even himself.
Tobias went silent, bowing his head and turning his tail, "Whatever you do, little brother, don't regret your choice this day."

Seventh watched as Tobias disappeared. The trainer smilled, clapping his hands together, "Haha! A lucky day! Two for the price of one." He beamed happily. Seventh looked up at the human, "Hey rattata, tell your trainer I only want to travel with him, I don't want to be caught." Rattata nodded and relayed the message. The human shrugged, seeming disinterested, "Sure, I don't care," he said, "You're a bit scrawny to use in battles anyway, but if you're related to that other Houndoom you'll have good breeding blood in you... unless of course you have objections to mating with Imperial?" Fred gave him a sly grin, and Seventh smiled back, his response being 'Of course not'.

It was at the local pokemon center that Seventh and Ryuin managed to get some time for themselves. They were in the recovery room around the back of the center. The trainer turned out to be rather wealthy, and so got the best treatment for his pokemon, including doors with locks. Seventh bit her ear seductively, "I made the right choice," He said with a comforting finality in his voice. Ryuin giggled and nestled back into the welcoming chest of her mate, "I agree," she said quietly, nuzzling against him. Then she turned to face him, touching his nose with hers, "So are you going to couple with me houndoom, or just use this time to think about the past?" She said with a playful smile. Seventh grinned back, licking her muzzle softly, "I'd never leave my mate wanting." He said with a chuckle.
Ryuin giggled, "You know, you never called me that before, on our little tristes?"
Seventh cocked his head, moving into position behind her, "Really?" He smiled, nuzzling her as his cock drew closer to her waiting sex, "Well I guess I just feel more comfortable with it now."
Ryuin sighed and blushed softly, cooing as she felt the penis pressing against her back, lifting herself so that the tip prodded her cunny, "You're more comfortable with a lot of things now..." She whispered hotly.

They began to pair. It started off slow, a small spark between them as cock slipped into pussy. Her moist depths welcomed him warmly, with open arms. His member sheathed smoothly into her pussy, filling it right up. Then, with a slight movement of his hips, Seventh thrusted his member in and out of her. Hot and fast, their passion matched only by the volume of Ryuin's moans of pleasure, her legs buckled underneath Seventh's passion and her chest brushed the floor. Seventh began to rut with her harder, thrusting his long, meaty cock into her as waves of pleasure shot through him. She was so warm and soft, but at the same time her body was pleasing and inviting. As Seventh's passion grew he let out a small howl, feeling his cock swell and his body begin to tense. He felt his partner convulse and shiver, he'd brought her to orgasm. The incredible electric shiver that went through her spine was like a lick of fire, igniting the fuse that brought about his own orgasm. His cock swelling, semen pulsed forth from Seventh, into the awaiting maw of Ryuin's cunt. She had screamed, "Yes!" and "Harder!" all the way through, her songlike voice forcing his body to obey as the two gave in to their animal instincts. It was good to fuck Ryuin. No. It was good to fuck... his mate.

The end.
Chapter End Notes:This turned out to be an allegory to something I had to go through when I was deciding to go out with Gilly or not... so the story's close to me.

This is a great chance to get me back if I've given you a bad review ;
