Second Chances by XD385

Innocence Lost

"I see... I accept the assignment." The scientist sighed as he hung up on the caller. After nearly three years since the disastrous incident where Mewtwo was created, the scientists had recovered and had returned to their professions. However, this scientist began making calls to his colleagues to assemble in the meeting hall in the laboratory. They were not going to like this.

"Dr. Fuji, why have you called us for this meeting?" The veteran stood up and spoke to his colleagues, "I have just received word from Giovanni. He has hired us to undertake a top-secret project for him." Another scientist asked, "And what would it be?" Dr. Fuji frowned and spoke, "In short, he wishes for us to create a second Mewtwo."

The meeting hall burst into an uproar. "He must be out of his mind! After what happened last time, shouldn't he know just how dangerous that creature is?! He's practically telling us to die!" Dr. Fuji yelled, "Silence! Take your seats!" Reluctantly, everyone sat down. "I truly do not know why he wishes to have another one created, but it seems that he has no memory of the original. However, I am willing to make a few changes to the specimen to reduce the chances of it going mad like the original did."

The scientists began conversing amongst themselves. "Please pay attention." Everyone faced Dr. Fuji again. "We were largely at fault for Mewtwo's rebellion, so I have devised a plan to prevent it from happening again. First, we shall suppress the Y chromosome to make the specimen female. This should cause the specimen to be more docile to a degree. Next, we will awaken it early in the process so it will be a child in terms of age. Therefore, since the specimen will be a child, it must be treated as such. If it sees us as friends and family and as something to depend on, it is very unlikely that it will try to harm us." The scientists were amazed by this unorthodox, but brilliant idea.

"Wait a moment...in order to create a Mewtwo specimen, we need Mew DNA. From what I recall, we already extracted the DNA from the fossil we found." Dr. Fuji smiled and reached into his lab coat's chest pocket and pulled out something. "I'm sorry, but that is not true." He held up the eyebrow fossil that had been used in the creation of the original Mewtwo. "Only 1/3 of the DNA in this fossil was needed to create Mewtwo. Therefore, we have enough DNA to make another one, or a third, should something go wrong. Now then, who agrees to this project?" Everyone in the room raised a hand.

Several weeks had passed since the approval of the Mewthree project was concluded and the scientists were extremely optimistic. Dr. Fuji walked into the Biotech Chamber to check on the specimen. "Ah, Dr. Fuji. Look at this." A fellow scientist guided his senior over to the stasis tank. "So, this is it." Inside the tank was a small Mewtwo that was curled up into a fetal position. Multiple wires were attached to various parts of the body to monitor vital signs.

"It should be ready to activate in several minutes. Should we alert the others?" Dr. Fuji smiled, "Yes. Let them know that the child will soon awaken." With that, his colleague approached a terminal and spoke, "All personal, please report to the Biotech Chamber. Project Mewthree will activate in several minutes." Dr. Fuji grinned as he gazed into the stasis tank. (This time, not only will we create this world's most powerful Pokemon, but the most sentient as well.)

"Are we too late?! Did it happen?!" A group of scientists shuffled into the chamber. "No, you're just in time. Please keep your voices down." Every scientist in the compound had gathered to witness the birth of the ultimate Pokemon. "Let's begin." A mechanical voice spoke out, "Blood pressure normal. Heart rate 8 bpm. Brainwave frequency stable." Bubbles began to rise from the bottom of the tank. "Draining culture fluid. Disengaging life-support systems. Vital signs stable." The fluid began to rapidly drain through vents in the bottom of the tank. The wires released themselves from the Mewtwo and withdrew into the metal top of the tank. Once the fluid was drained, the glass lowered into the floor, revealing a sleeping young Mewtwo.

"Do not speak just yet." Dr. Fuji approached the child and kneeled. "Hello? Are you awake yet?" Suddenly, the eyelids began to twitch as the scientists became giddy with anticipation. "It's waking up..." Soon, the eyelids opened, revealing beautiful golden yellow eyes. The child yawned and stretched as if she had woken up from a long nap. Just then, she looked around at the fascinated faces of her creators with great curiosity, as she was seeing through her own eyes for the very first time.

"Good evening, little one. I am Dr. Fuji." The child Mewtwo gave a big happy smile and spoke, with her own voice instead of her mind, "Hello, Dr. Fuji!" The scientists burst into joyful celebration at the success of the project. "So you can speak?" She nodded, "Uh huh! Oh, I'm kinda hungry." Dr. Fuji laughed, "Ah, of course! But before we get you some dinner, may I know your name?" The child spoke, "My name? Um...well..." The professor chuckled, "Don't worry. You can tell me later. Now then, shall we get you some dinner?" She smiled, "OK! Let's...whoa!" The little girl tried to stand up, but fell right back down on her tail.

"Oops! I fell down." The little Mewtwo laughed while she scratched her head. "She's just so cute!" Some of the scientists had already been won over by her innocent personality. "I see that you don't know how to walk. Let me show you." Dr. Fuji took the Mewtwo's hand, "How stand up. I won't let you fall." With a little difficulty, she managed to get to her feet. "Now, one foot at a time." Dr. Fuji took one step forward. The Mewtwo child tried her luck and moved her leg forward to match Fuji's. She was surprised that she had not fallen over. "I do believe you've got it. Now, the other one." Dr. Fuji took another step, which was mimicked by the Mewtwo. "Hey! I'm walking!" She then let go of the hand and began to run! "Am I still walking?" The scientists laughed, "No. Now you're running!" She looked down at her little feet and was surprised that she wasn't losing balance when she seemed to be standing on only the tips.

"Ewww, what's this stuff?" The Mewtwo child groaned as she leered at her dinner. "That is spinach, carrots, corn, peas, and a side of oranges." Whatever they were, the little girl wasn't interested. "They look yucky!" However, Dr. Fuji grinned, "If you eat all your vegetables, I'll give you something special." She looked up at him with an excited look, "Really?!" He nodded. "OK! I'll do it!" She grabbed some spinach and shoved it into her mouth, ignoring the bland flavor and swallowed. However, Dr. Fuji grabbed her hand when she reached out again. "Show some table manners! Don't eat with your hands." She looked confused, "But how do I eat this stuff without my hands?"

Dr. Fuji grinned and pointed at the side of the dish. "These are what you should eat with. That's a spoon and fork." The Mewtwo tried picking up the fork in her right three fingered hand. Once she got a firm grip on it, the Mewtwo tried to pick up more spinach with it. "OK, I see how to do it now!" She then started shoveling the rest of the spinach into her mouth, followed by the carrots. However, when she tried to pick up the peas, she was quickly frustrated as they kept rolling off the sides.

"This fork's broken!" Dr. Fuji spoke, "When the fork fails, use the spoon." The Mewtwo looked down at the side of the plate and noticed the spoon. "Oops. I forgot." She set down the fork and took the spoon in hand. This time, she had no problem scooping up the tiny peas and corn kernels. However, when she tried to pick up the orange wedges, Dr. Fuji spoke, "Now, THOSE you can eat with your hands." The child smiled and dropped the spoon and took a wedge in hand. When she chomped down on the orange, she was surprised by how much fluid was inside, as well as the tangy sweet flavor.

"Now, it's time for your reward." The Mewtwo child looked excited, "Oh goody! What is it?!" Another scientist walked over with an ice cream cone in hand with a double scoop of cookie dough. "It's ice cream. Here you go." The little Mewtwo took the cone in both hands, as it was a little too big. However, she couldn't figure out how to eat it.

"Do I use the fork?" Dr. Fuji smiled, "No. You use your tongue. Like so." The professor leaned forward and took a lick from the scoop. The little girl smiled and tried it herself. She was blown away by the delicious flavor and the chewy bits of cookie dough.

"I'm tired..." the little Mewtwo yawned as Dr. Fuji led her down a hall. "Well, it is past 10, so I'm not surprised. Ah, here we are." Dr. Fuji stepped into a room with her in tow. Inside was a bed, a box of toys, and a end table with a lamp. "This is your bedroom. Do as you will with it." The little girl walked over to her bed and looked around. "This is mine?" The professor nodded, "It's gotten late. You should get to bed. Your training begins tomorrow." The little Mewtwo grinned and climbed in bed. As she pulled up the covers, she noticed Dr. Fuji looking curious.

"Dr. Fuji? Are you OK?" He grinned, "Oh, sorry. I was just curious of what would be a good name for you." Just then, the Mewtwo noticed a vase full of roses next to her. Somehow, she already knew what kind of flowers they were. "Rose! My name is Rose!" Dr. Fuji smiled, "So you DO have a name! Well then, sweet dreams, Rose. I hope you sleep well." Rose yawned, "OK. Good Night, Dr. Fuji." Just after the door was closed, the little Mewtwo fell fast asleep.

"Good morning, Rose! Did you sleep well?" Dr. Fuji peeked in to see the Mewtwo child playing with what seemed to be a tea set. Across from the little table was a doll that looked like a Pokemon Trainer. "Good Morning, Dr. Fuji! Want some tea?" The good doctor laughed, "No, thank you. I already had some tea. Oh, so who is your guest?" Rose smiled and greeted the doll. "This is mister Red! He really likes tea!" Dr. Fuji laughed and walked over to the table. "Actually, this doll is designed after a popular Trainer named Ash Ketchum. Maybe you'll meet him someday." Rose smiled, "OK! Ash Ketchum!" Dr. Fuji then poke, "Now then, it's time for breakfast. You are hungry?" Rose smiled, "Oh yes, I'm starving!"

"Mmmmm! This smells yummy!" Rose licked her lips at the sight of scrambled eggs and roasted ham on her plate with a glass of milk. Just as she was about to grab some, she remembered something. "Oops! I forgot the fork." She noticed the fork at the side and picked it up. She began to stuff her face full of the eggs and ham and gulped down the milk. "Um, you really shouldn't eat so fast. You might..." Suddenly, Rose let out a belch! "BRRRRAAAAAAAPPPPPPP!!!!! Uh, sorry?" Dr. Fuji shook his head. "Eat more slowly so you can savor the flavor more." Rose blushed, "OK. Sorry." "The proper thing to say after a belch is 'Excuse me', Rose."

"So, what're we doing today?" Dr. Fuji led Rose to a lab that had the feel of a library. "Today, I'm going to teach you how to read." Rose looked at the shelves that were lined with books. "How about this one? Um, Where the Red Fern Grows?" Dr. Fuji looked back at her, "Wait...you mean, you CAN read?!" Rose looked baffled, but nodded, "Uh huh. I can read." The doctor scratched his head, "Well, I suppose I'll teach you how to count instead."

As the two left the library, Rose asked, "Where is everyone? I only counted ten people here today?" Once again, Dr. Fuji looked at her as if she had spoken the meaning of life. "You can count, too?!" Rose nodded again, not knowing what the big deal was. "Well, I assume that you can write as well. I never would have imagined that you would be so intelligent at birth! Well then, we may as well teach you how to harness your psychic powers." Rose wondered, (Psychic.....powers?)

"Don't be afraid, Rose! We're right here for you!" A scientist spoke through an intercom while looking down through a glass panel. Rose was standing in a vast metal room that was eerily empty. "I'm scared..." "Don't worry. We're going to run some tests now. Initiating step one." A pair of pillars extended out of the wall. "Now Rose, use your psychic powers to push those pillars back into the walls." Rose looked down at her three fingered hands. "Psychic powers? How?"

"Just focus. You can do it." Rose had a nagging feeling that she really knew how to do the job. "OK...like this?" Rose stretched her arms towards the pillars. "Uh, is this right?" Her golden eyes began to glow a faint blue as a thin aura outlined her body. Soon, a grinding sound was heard as the pillars began to slowly retract into the walls. In only 30 seconds, the pillars could not be seen. "Gee, that was easy!" The scientist applauded, "Well done! Now then, initiating step two."

This time, a hole opened in the floor. "This time, you will use your psychic powers to hold a moving object in place. Ready?" The little Mewtwo grinned, "Yep! I'm ready!" Suddenly, a ball launched out of the hole! However, just before it reached the ceiling, it fell right back down into the hole. A few seconds passed before it was launched again. But this time, Rose caught the ball before it could fall back down. "I got it!" The scientist applauded again. "Well done. You're a fast learner! Now, drop the ball back into the hole and we'll move on to step three." Rose nodded and released her mental grip on the ball, letting it fall back into the hole. The hole then closed.

"Now, this is the last part." This time, a pair of what seemed to be gun turrets lowered from the ceiling. "This time, you must create a barrier to stop anything that might try to harm you. This may be a bit tricky. Ready?" Rose nodded, curious of what the gun turrets could do. "Begin."

Suddenly, the gun turrets launched several grenades at the little Mewtwo! However, they landed at her feet and exploded in a puff of smoke. "Huh?! What's...hehehee...I feel...hahahahaaaa!!!!!" The scientist spoke, "That happens to be laughing gas. It'll dissipate after a moment. Be sure to block the next barrage." Rose was rolling over the ground laughing fit to kill. However, the effects quickly wore off once the gas dissipated. "Ha...hoo! That was weird! OK. I have to stop them?" Suddenly, a pair of canisters was fired at her!

"Oops! Gotta hurry! Maybe this?!" Just before they landed at her feet, the canisters burst in the air as they crashed against what seemed to be some kind of translucent dome! The gas was also being held back. "That's it! You've got it!" Rose lowered the barrier in excitement. "Yes! I did it! I...heehee...oops. The laughing...hahahaa!!!" As soon as the barrier was gone, the laughing gas overwhelmed Rose again. "Kids. Some things never change, regardless of specie."

That night, Rose listened intently as Dr. Fuji told her a bedtime story. "Disturb not the harmony of Fire, Ice, or Lightning, lest these Titans wreck destruction upon the world in which they clash. Though the water's Great Guardian shall arise to quell the fighting, alone its song will fail. Thus the Earth shall turn to Ash. O, Chosen One, into thine hands bring together all three. Their treasures combined tame the beast of the sea.
These are the words that speak of the crisis that occurred a little over a year ago." Rose asked, "That sounds so amazing! What happened?" Dr. Fuji went on, "What began as a simple festival turned into a struggle to restore balance to nature. The three Pokemon, Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, had been targeted by a foolish collector who sought to acquire them for his own interests. However, they could not be contained and their wrath threatened the entire world. With the aid of Lugia, the Great Guardian, the Chosen One managed to reach Ice Island and secured the orb there. However, the three legendary birds were not willing to let the child escape and attacked without mercy. Fortunately, Lugia intervened and got the Chosen One to safety. But when they approached the island where the orbs were to be placed, the collector made one final attempt to secure his prize, only to incur the wrath of Lugia. In the process, the Chosen One was tossed into the sea. By a stroke of luck, he washed up on the shore before he could drown. Though weakened, he was bent on carrying out his duty and succeeded in uniting the three orbs at their alter. Through the soothing melody of an ancient song, the three titans of fire, ice, and lightning were calmed and the world was restored to balance."

Rose blushed as she pictured the story in her head. "What happened to the Chosen One after that?" Dr. Fuji chuckled, "Well, I believe he returned to his profession as a Trainer." Rose sighed, "He sounds like such a nice guy. I hope I meet him someday." Dr. Fuji gently tapped her on the nose, "Maybe you will. But for now, sleep tight." Rose smiled, "Good night, Dr. Fuji." The professor left the room with a grin. Soon, the Mewtwo child fell asleep; dreaming of what it would be like to meet the Chosen One.

Over the course of a week, Rose's training steadily intensified, but she always passed with flying colors. The scientists had grown to like her and she got along with everyone there. However, someone was on his way to take her from them.

"Oh yes, the specimen is showing great progress! Oh, you're coming today? I see....yes. I'll see you then." Dr. Fuji hung up the phone. "It will be quiet around here with Rose gone, but it can't be helped."

"So, who's here to see me?" Rose asked as Dr. Fuji led her to the lobby of the laboratory. "The one who wanted us to create you. He should be here right now." Rose was curious, as she was still naïve, but she had a nagging feeling that this was not something she would enjoy.

When they reached the lobby, the two saw a group of other scientists conversing with what seemed to be a well built man dressed in a classy reddish orange suit. When he turned to face Rose, she shivered at his evil eyes. However, he had both a look of surprise and disappointment when he saw her. He motioned Dr. Fuji towards him and whispered, "I pay you to create the ultimate Pokemon and you produce nothing more than a child?" Dr. Fuji replied, "It was necessary in order to avoid particular problems that would have been risked should we have awakened it as an adult. Despite its young age, the specimen has shown massive potential and has done extremely well in the simulations." The man grinned, "I see. Well done. I suppose good things are worth waiting for."

Dr. Fuji walked over to Rose and introduced her to the guest. "This is Giovanni. From now on, he will look after you." Rose meekly waved, "Um, hi, mister Giovanni." The Team Rocket boss smirked, "You're quite the cute one. I'm looking forward to having you with me. Now then, shall we be going?" Rose nodded and waved at the scientists. "Bye bye! I really liked it here! Let's meet again soon!"

As Rose looked down from the helicopter as they lifted off, she saw that the lab was on an island. "Wow! I've never seen so much water!" Giovanni patted her head, "That's the ocean. Don't let the appearance fool you. The water is horribly salty." Rose gagged, "Yuck! Salt water is so yucky!" Once they were set for the Kanto region, Giovanni saw just how innocent Rose was. She wouldn't be much of a fighter as she was now. (I'll have to find a way to break her in.)

A few days after arriving at Giovanni's secret hideout near Viridian city, Rose had become quite accustomed to her new home. She was given her own room and had enough toys to keep her entertained. It was fairly spacious, so she got lonely sometimes, as Giovanni was often too busy to play with her.

One night, there was a rain storm happening outside. As she watched the rain come down, Rose sighed, "I'm bored. I wish the Chosen One was here to tell me stories." Just then, she heard the door open and turned to greet the intruder. "Hello! Huh? Mister Giovanni!" The crime boss grinned, "So you're bored? The rain can do that sometimes." Rose didn't notice, but he had locked the door upon entering.

"So, what should we play?!" Rose had an excited look on her face as she looked up at Giovanni. "Hmmm...what indeed. Ah, yes. I have one." Rose asked, "What? What? What?" Giovanni had a sinister smirk as he started to undo his belt buckle. "It's called "Submission." He removed his belt and dropped his pants, revealing his large manhood.

"Huh? It's huge! What's it called?" Giovanni grinned as he started stroking it. "It's the most important toy for the game." Soon, it stood erect as his arousal grew. "It's even bigger now! So, how does the game work?" It was at this point that Giovanni felt that keeping up the charade was pointless. "Just shut up!" This startled the little girl as she had never been yelled at in her life.

"I'll only say this once. You were created to serve me. I am not your father. I am not your friend. I am your master and you will always refer to me as that. You will always do as I say when I order you to. You are my tool and will be treated as such." Rose had become afraid and was confused of what Giovanni was trying to tell her. "But...what do you mean?" Giovanni sighed, "I should have known. Your immature mind can't fully understand your purpose. So in short, I'll say this. If you refuse to do what I tell you to, you will be punished." Rose was about to cry as this man claimed that she was as low as to be called a tool. But more than anything, she was worried about what he was going to do with that thing in between his thighs.

"I can tell that you don't understand what I'm telling you. So instead..." He suddenly lashed out and grabbed Rose by her sides! "I'll just have to break your will, so you will never refuse me!" Rose had become frightened and tried to wiggle free, but to no avail. She saw how Giovanni's eyes were roaming her body, searching for something. He then noticed a barely visible crease in the pink fur that flowed down her belly and underneath to her tail. "I see. Now, let's begin."

Giovanni forcefully lowered Rose onto his waiting member. The instant he pierced her, Rose let out a scream of pain. She had never even felt pain before, and this pain was excruciating. She screamed, hoping someone would help her, but no one came. Giovanni sneered as blood began to flow down his member from Rose's broken hymen, as well as from the force and size of the entry. "You are mine, and you will learn discipline!"

"It hurts! Stop! Please!" Rose's psychic powers began to act up as her mind became unstable. Telekinetic pulses surged through the whole complex as she wanted to flee. To get away. Pipes bended and circuitry sparked as the building burst into flames as walls began to crumble to sand. In a flash, the entire stronghold was consumed in a catastrophic explosion, destroying everything and everyone within. Everything, except one poor little girl.

Rose ran. She tore through the forest in the storm. She just wanted to escape. To get as far away from that hellish place as possible. The frequent flashes of lightning and the booms of thunder only terrified her more. Everything she saw were monsters that sought to make her suffer. She screamed as she fled in terror from everything. She couldn't take the horror. As her vision started to blur, she fell and sobbed in fear in the mud. However, soon she heard something that she had not heard before. It sounded like human snoring.

Rose looked around and saw that she had come to a clearing in the forest. Nearby were five tents that seemed to have been erected around the remains of a campfire. At this point, she didn't care what happened. She just wanted to get out of the rain.

Rose approached the closest tent and looked around for an entrance of some sort. At one end, she found a zipper at the bottom. Slowly, she pulled it upwards, hoping to not wake anyone that might be inside. It was too dark to see much, but Rose saw a long lump along the bottom. However, a suddenly crosswind came up and blew some rain sideways into the tent, drenching half of the floor.

"What the...did I leave the flap open?" A figure rose at the far end of the tent and looked around. It looked directly at Rose and asked, "Huh? Who're you?" Before Rose could answer, a loud thunderclap boomed across the area. Rose leapt forward in fear and pretty much tackled the figure!

"What the?! Let me up!" The figure, who seemed to be a young boy, pushed whatever tackled him off and leaned forward and closed the flap. Then, he reached into his backpack and yanked out a portable electric lantern. "OK, who are you?" With a twist of a knob, the lantern illuminated the tent. "No way...you?"

Rose was silent as the boy gazed at her face. She had never seen him before, but he seemed to recognize her somehow. "Is that...you, Mewtwo?" Rose looked puzzled. Mewtwo? Is that who he was talking about? "Wait...you're not him. He has different eyes." The boy had met the original Mewtwo once before and remembered his deep purple eyes. "Well, do you have a name?" At last, she spoke, "My name is Rose."

The boy grinned, "Rose? Like the flower? That's really pretty." A small smile escaped Rose's lips. Just then, the boy gasped, "Wait...that means...you're a girl?!" Rose let out a giggle, "Yep! You're pretty funny! What's your name?" The boy grinned, "My name is Ash Ketchum. I'm taking the Battle Frontier challenge." Rose grinned, "Ash? That's a strange name. I like it!" Ash laughed, but he then noticed out of the corner of his eye a red stain on Rose's lower region.

"Rose, are you hurt?" She looked down and saw where she was bleeding. Rose was silent, but Ash could see in her eyes that something terrible had happened. "May I take a look?" Rose looked away, but nodded. "OK. I'll try to make sure this doesn't hurt. Um, could you lie down?" Rose crawled to the end of the tent and laid down face up. "Thanks. Now don't move."

Gently, Ash ran his hand over the red area and felt that it was still wet, and not because of the rain. "I'll have to go deeper." He felt for an opening while trying to not think about what he was looking for. Ash soon found Rose's womanhood and gently pushed his fingers in, causing Rose to gasp in minor pain. "Sorry, but I have to know."

Ash pushed in deeper and could feel a warm liquid cover his fingers. When he pulled out, he shuddered at the sight of his fingers. They were covered with still warm blood. It was at that moment that Ash knew what had happened, and he was having a hard time not throwing up. (What kind of freak would rape a little girl?! The blood's still warm. This happened just a little while ago.)

When Ash looked at Rose again, he saw she was crying. "Hey, Rose." The little Mewtwo sat up. "You look tired. What do ya say?" Ash was holding open the end of the sleeping bag for her. "I swear, if that freak shows up to take you back, I'll kill him. I won't let anyone hurt you ever again. I promise."

Rose felt tears fall from her face as she realized that this boy cared for her on a level that not even her own creators did. Suddenly, she leapt forward and planted a kiss on Ash's lips! "Thank you." However, she laughed when she saw his face. Ash looked as if he had just walked in on his mother in the bathtub. "ASH!" He came to his senses and said, "Uh, thanks. Now, let's get to bed."

As he turned off the lamp and pulled the cover over them, Ash felt Rose embrace him tightly. He rested his hand on her back just below her large artery. "I'll get you to the Pokemon Center first thing in the morning." Rose whispered, "Thank you. Do you think we can be friends?" Even though she couldn't see him, Ash smiled, "Definitely. I'll be the best friend you could ever have." The two friends fell asleep almost simultaneously in the thunderstorm.

Elsewhere, in a far-off city, a certain Pokemon muttered, "I can't believe this day has occurred. I'm no longer alone....."
