Six: The Imperfect Gods
Edgar was in enough of a shock to last several years. He had never been worshiped before in his life; save for Olivia or Gengar. But now, he had an entire city kneeling in front of him. As he looked at the two nurses, who were just a few inches from him, kissing the floor. He wondered.... Had he done this? He had been sleep for some time after all, maybe...
***************************************
Both Darkrai and Giratina where staring at one another, there was only one possible answer to this. Darkrai turned to face Giratina
"You don't actually think..."
Giratina looked worried, she spoke in an unemotional method
"No evolution...No possession...could it really be..."
Both of them looked at Edgar, he still had the same staggered look in his eyes. Both of them turned to face each other again, but this time, nodding at one another, as if they had a good idea what was happening.
"The spores..."

Ragde finally stirred from his sleep, his head felt heavy and foggy, he noticed that it was night. Just how long had he been sleep for? As he slowly got up, he began to notice chanting coming from the outside of the hospital. He looked outside to only to see a huge mom of people standing outside, there were thousands, no; hundreds of thousands of people outside, the only time he had seen so many people was during pokemon competitions. As he returned to back to reality, he began to recall everything that had happen. All the events up to the point of being knocked out by Darkrai came back to him. Just then he let out a deep growl of anger
"...DARKRAI!!!!"
He literally jumped up in anger, that bastard had done something to him and the others. He cracked his knuckles in anger
"When I find that son of a bitch!"
He started to walk down the hall, he noticed the place was in ruins, the hall was frayed, the wall wrecked, several ruptured pipes constantly spilled water, and others some horrid smelling acidic liquid. As he continued to walk, he noticed blood, lots of it. It was everywhere, the floor, and the walls, the ceiling, even outside the windows. Ragde began to get vexed, he only needed to smell it to know whom it belonged to.
His anger now spilling beyond the point of sanity. As he continued to consider what this meant, his anger only got worse and worse, it was anger unlike anything he had ever felt in his life. In his mind he could only think about one thing.... The many Deaths he would inflict on Darkrai. He summoned both of his leaf blades and began to run, looking for his target.

"You know what, I actually might get used to this! How come you don't ever do this Olivia?"
Edgar was relaxing as much as he could, he was sitting in a big overstuffed chair a couple of machoke had moved in, several nurses and other women where massaging him, fanning him, or feeding him fruit all at once. Edgar looked quite content at his treatment. Olivia and Rasputin on the other hand, looked simply jealous and worried. Both of them knew that too much of a good thing was ALWAYS bad. On top of that, Olivia felt a little mad that it wasn't her pleasing his man. Rasputin on the other hand, tried to look as emotionless as she could, but it didn't work at all, she found herself flexing with emotions of anger, frustration, and some sadness. In the end, she decided to leave the room. Edgar noticed and only smiled
"Going somewhere?"
Rasputin stopped in her tracks, nervously, she turned to face Edgar, she was a little red in the face. She quickly blurted the first thing that came to her mind
"Just going for some fresh air"
She smiled as best she could. Edgar returned the smile, and then went back to his relaxation.
Though she had said it in a hurry, She did need some fresh air, it was getting way to stuffy for her likes. She quickly left the room behind her as she hovered down the hall, looking for the nearest balcony. When she got there, she was greeted by thousands of yells, but as soon as they realized it was Rasputin, not Edgar, they let out a huge sigh, and went back to talking to one another. Rasputin snickered a little at this sudden rejection; she leaned over the balcony and yelled at the crowd
"What? I am not good enough for you?"
A young black boy, no older than ten responded by flipping her off
"Boo! Shut the fuck up!"
Rasputin looked shocked that such a small child knew such coarse language. The boy's father slapped him in the back of the head and proceeded to scold the young boy
"That's not how you greet someone boy! This is how you do it!"
The man took a deep breath and screamed at the top of his lung
"BOOOOOO! SHUT YOUR FUKING FUCK HOLE UP, YOU FUCKING FUCKHEAD!"
The little boy grew exited and started yipping in place
"WOW DAD, that was soooooooooooooo cooooooooooooooooool! YOU ARE MY HERO!"
The father only rubbed the back of his head in glee
"I try...."
The little kid hugged his father. Rasputin ignored the latter and took some fresh air. Finally relaxing after everything that had happen up to this point. She took the relative peace of the evening and began to ponder on her life. So much had happened in such a short time, she began to recall her previous life before she had met Edgar...
*******************************************
Nighttime had always been her favorite time; she and a group of other shoupets would always wander the alleys of Jubilife, looking for nasty thoughts to absorb. They always found very little to go by, almost no one in Jubilife seemed to be evil of heart. Back then, things where peaceful. But peace only last so long....
One night, while with her friends, Rasputin came upon one of the biggest sources of malice she had ever felt. She and her friends raced towards the source of malice, when they found it, they were surprised by several humans, all wearing black uniforms, a huge red R on their chest. Before she could react, several of her friends had been attacked and captured, but she was determined to not go out without a fight
After several minutes of fighting, things seemed hopeless, no matter what she did, she was no match for the enemy pokemon she was up against, she only knew ghost type attacks, and she was up against several ratticate, ghost types were ineffective against normal types. The only attack that could help her now was Curse, but if she used it, she could risk death. She was against the wall now, and no matter what she tried to do, she would not be able to get away. Her attackers where smiling in an evil way, they raised their hands and the ratticate responded by releasing several shadow claw attacks on Rasputin. The apparent leader let out a mocking cackle
"Hehehehehehe...hahahahahaha! Oh, this is precious! You still breathe? We have no need for one more; we have all the Shoupets we need. Fine then, ratticate, put it out of its misery!"
The ratticate attacked with one last shadow claw attack, it struck her with such force that she was thrown against the nearest wall. With that the humans turned and left her believing she was dead. At that moment her body began to glow, her figure changed dramatically; she began to evolve. The leader noticed this and let out an enraged growl as he turned towards his men
"OH NO YOU DON'T, all of you, complete the mission! This one's mine"
He called his ratticate from their balls and immediately ordered them to attack her while she was still and changing, though the ratticate hit her hard, it did very little to stop her metamorphosis.
Several seconds later, Rasputin was staring into her new more humanoid figure, she had arms and legs now, but still floated in the air, she could feel her new features as well, the most shocking being a zipper which sealed her lips shut, and a small fluffy like tail, she also had what appeared to be a ponytail growing from her head. Even though she had little to go by, she tried to move, to her surprise, she could move with ease and fluidity, far more than she had when she was a shoupet, she cold feel some kind of power running through her body.
With her newfound strength, she released the only attack that could help her now. She concentrated as hard as she could, using the last of her strength; she summoned several pins, all of which floated over her body, until she waved her arms. At that, all the pins fell on her, turning her into a living voodoo doll. Each one piercing her in different positions, the pain was intense, but the power that was unleashed was even greater. At that moment, her attackers fell on the ground afflicted by the curse, and since she was using full power her attackers twitched and moaned in agony as their lives were slowly stripped from them. The more Rasputin concentrated, the more pain she inflicted on her enemies, and the more pain she felt in return. The ratticate where also fealing the pain as they to got a taste of the curse. They wrangled and twitched in pain, the other humans had begun to flee in horror; she was too busy inflicting pain on her tormentors to notice it. After several seconds of intense pain, the human and ratticate laid dead. She turned to face her next opponent, but he had fled long ago. She dropped to her knees, all her friends... they were gone... she had failed to protect them. Rasputin was panting; she could barely feel herself, let alone her new limbs. The needles had disappeared, but the vivid pain they had caused still lingered. As she slowly hit the ground, she could hear more movement, using what little energy she had, she looked over and realized that more of the black clothed humans where coming back towards her. She could feel strong emotions of rage and fear on them. She tried to get up, but she had no more energy left to move, or even to remain conscious for long. Without even noticing it, she closed her eyes, slowly embracing the darkness. As she did, only one thought went trough her mind
"Somebody.... Please.... Help.... Me..."
Never in her life had she asked for any help, but now, it was all she could do. Before she lost full consciousness, she could hear the clear sounds of combat, she heard the voice of a boy... her heart skipped a beat before she lost full consciousness.
When she awakened, she was in the pokemon center, her wounds fully healed, her strength fully recovered. She looked around but saw no one else; she looked out the window, and noticed that it was morning. All the events of the previous night coming back to her mind in such a force that she was almost overwhelmed by them. Then she noticed nurse joy come into the room, followed by a boy, he was no older than 15, wearing a dark faded jacket, a pair of equally faded dark jeans, and a headband with the picture of a dusknoir that covered one eye. He had a bandage covering it, it was bloodstained. He had a worried smile in his face; he directed his voice towards Rasputin
"Hey.... how you doing?"
She had only stared at his eye for a few seconds, yet she wondered every time Rasputin though about it; what had happened that night? Whenever she tried to think about it, it avoided even her. She had only to stare into his eye to know that he had saved her. But why?
He got close enough for her to survey him up close, his body seemed normal, but he radiated such energy... back then, she would not have know what it had been, but now she had a good feeling what that energy was. He shook his head as he smiled
"I'm sorry, where are my manners? I haven't even introduced myself... name's Edgar Sysoles"
He held a hand towards her, Rasputin knew well that the gesture meant he wanted to shake hands, she obliged.
"Boy, you sure had a rough night didn't you? I hope your ok though"
Rasputin could only stare at his wound. Edgar had noticed and had only shaken his head
"Damn bastards, got me good in the eye! Had it not been for Olivia here, I would probably be dead!"
He had shaken his fist in anger, when a rather beautiful kirlia appeared behind him; she was very shy of Rasputin.
"Oh, I where are my manners again! This here is Olivia, and.... You are?
Rasputin only looked confused, she had never really though about a name, she had never really needed one anyway, she raised her shoulders in what she knew was the human expression of doubt.
"Boy, for a pokemon, you sure act a lot like a human... anyway, you need a name. But what to name you...?"
Edgar began to survey the Banette trying to figure out an appropriate name... then it hit him.
"Well, judging by your ghost nature, and the fact that you species are seldom seen in a good mood, and you pack one hell of a curse! You need a name that inspires fear, and respect all at once!"
He raised both hands into the air and then lowered them pointing straight at her
"Am gona call you... Rasputin!"
Rasputin only sat there in disbelief, Olivia started laughing, Rasputin got a little annoyed at that, both of them though she was a he... but she decided not to temp fate, so she went with it. She looked at Olivia giving her a sharp menacing look, she stopped laughing as soon as she faced her; she retreated back to the safety of her master, quite intimidated. Nurse joy who had been standing in the back tapped Edgar in the shoulder, Edgar turned his head to face her, she was about to open her mouth when both Rasputin's and joy's eyes met, Rasputin let out a sinister look, the same one she had used on Olivia, that told joy everything she needed to know even before she could ponder on it. She shut her mouth, waited a few seconds, and quickly changed her subject
"Well.... Since this 'male' Banette has nowhere to go, how about you take it with you?"
Joy reprised the 'male' word. Rasputin eased her stare. Edgar looked exited, yet somehow confused
"Well... if he wants to come...."
Edgar turned to face Rasputin, who gave him an almost childlike stare, Edgar found himself in a small moment of silence, and he then nodded of approval. She got up and bowed at him, she felt a little responsible for what had happened to him, and besides... she needed to thank him somehow... she spoke in her native tongue
"Servitude till the end..."
Edgar of course did not understand a single thing she had said, on the other hand, Olivia started laughing hard at his remark, once again Rasputin shot an angry stare at her, she immediately grew quiet. Edgar pulled out a pokeball, and looked at his new companion, noticing some tints of fear
"If you don't want to use pokeballs, then you don't have to..."
Rasputin shook her head, and grabbed the pokeball from Edgar's hand, and pressed the button. She was sucked in, and the ball immediately grew quiet, as Rasputin was captured. She then broke out from the ball and grabbed it, she pressed the button to make it small, and then, unzipped her mouth. She grabbed the miniball and swallowed it finally she zipped her mouth shut again. Edgar looked a little surprised at this turn of events
"...Ok.... you can keep your ball.... Inside... if you want..."
Rasputin only giggled a bit.
And that's how she had ended up with Edgar. She felt no shame in traveling with a human, at all; this boy was her savior, and she wanted to go wherever he went. Back then she did know it, but recently, it all had become as clear as crystal... she was in love with Edgar, though she had to wonder, what would her family do if they knew? Would they shun her, or would they understand? She had been away from home far too long; she wasn't even sure her folk where even still alive, though she was pretty sure they lived, they were ghost after all.
She pondered as she took her final breath of fresh air, she then proceeded to float back to the room where Edgar was... had it been love at first sight? No it couldn't bee... that fact only made her more determined to finally get him, but he was taken now by Olivia; both of them had a very bumpy past...
At first, Olivia refused to make eye contact with her, every time she was near, she would always hide behind either Ragde, or Gengar, both of which only laughed at Olivia's cowardice. The Day Olivia had become a full fledged Gardevoir was the day that Rasputin officially became the one being picked on by her. She was far more powerful than Rasputin could ever hope to be. Though Rasputin watched from a distance, she could tell that Olivia and Edgar where very close, but now she understood just how close they were. Every time she though about it, she would curse herself for never really making a move, such a long time, and she never told him the truth... she then folded up her hand into fist and spoke out loud
"This is it! I can't take it anymore! I'm going to tell him everything! And no one is going to stop me! So Olivia-"
She stopped mid sentence, though she was no stranger to bad emotions, she had never really experienced jealousy up to this point, she shuddered on the spot, this fealing was definitely one of the worst emotions she had ever felt.
"Better keep my cool.... Don't want to kill somebody..."
She continued to float towards the room; when she felt something, she looked back and realized that Ragde was standing at the other end of the hall, Rasputin actually found herself glad to see him, he would know what to do, but before she could say anything else, Ragde was right in front of her, his eyes filled with such anger, that it even made her shrug. He directed his gaze towards her and asked in an intimidating voice
"Where is Darkrai?"
Rasputin had no Idea what this was about, but she told him anyway, but with a cautious tone
"He's with Edgar"
Ragde got surprised at what she said, she then noticed his two leaf blades retreat. She looked up at him and pointed at his arms
"Had those been out all this time?"
Ragde ignored her question, instead he asked his own question, a sense of urgency in his tone
"Is he still alive?"
Rasputin got an odd expression in her face; she was surprised at his question
"Of course he's alive! Why wouldn't he be alive?"
Ragde let out a sigh of relief, but his voice didn't lose its tone
"So then... is he hurt?"
Rasputin only got more confused
"Uh.... Ragde... is everything ok?"
Ragde, who had began to regain some of his cool, got mad at her, he proceeded to smack her in the top of her head, but he drastically cut his power in doing so, he wanted her conscious. He shouted in an intimidating tone
"HAVE YOU ANY IDEA WHAT GOING ON? EDGAR IS IN TROUBLE!!"
Rasputin rubbed the top of her head, a little teary in one eye; she was now the one who got mad
"YOU IDIOT!!!! Nothing bad is going on! Why you have to go and hit me for?"
Ragde only shook his head, he pointed at the hall
"Didn't you see all the blood in the hall, that blood belongs to Edgar! He's hurt, maybe dying! We have to do something!"
Rasputin only laughed at his sudden burst of worry
"And to think you're supposed the laid back type!"
Ragde took another swing at Rasputin, but missed when Rasputin dodged the blow, her voice filled with sarcasm
"Oh wow! You're real gentlemen, hitting a lady! So courteous... Asshole!"
The tables had turned, Rasputin was the one on the attack now, she was at her limit now, and she was not going to take any more crap from Ragde, or anyone for that matter
"I AM SICK AND TIRED! SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK SICK AND TIRED OF THIS BULLSHIT!!!!! EVERYTIME YOU HAVE TO PUT ME DOWN BACAUSE 'YOU'RE NOT STRONG ENOUGH' OR 'YOU'RE SUCH A PUSSY' WELL GUESS WHAT? I AM A PUSSY!!! SO YOU BETTER GET USED TO IT, OR I'LL MAKE SURE TO RIP YOUR CROTCH OFF!!! THEN WE'LL SEE HOW YOU LIKE BEEN CASTRATED!!"
She jumped at the superior pokemon, knocking him down into the floor, without even noticing what she was doing; she began to attack Ragde, punching him back and forth. Five years of conflict finally coming to its climax here and now...
While Rasputin had gotten along fine with Olivia in the end, at least to a certain extend; she had always had a shaky relationship with both Gengar and Ragde. Ragde being the bully who never left her alone, and Gengar being the creepiest being she had ever met. But she had managed to get along somehow, but things changed when Edgar lost his parents several months later. A few days after the tragedy, Gengar began to act strange, stranger than usual even. When she had attempted to find out what was wrong with him...
"You better not stick your nose where it doesn't belong; little girl"
His voice had shocked her, but what shook her more was the fact that he had called her
'Little girl'
"...What do you mean by that?"
Gengar only smiled
"Do you think that you could keep that façade up for long? I've known from the very beginning that you're no male... you're a female! You can't hide it from me!"
Rasputin took a few steps back in shock, she was blushing, Gengar only laughed
"If you want your secret safe, than I suggest you leave me be. Other wise, I may just find my tongue slip not only your secret, but also your... other little secrets! Hahahahahaha!"
Rasputin got only mad, she was shaking her hands in fury, and they were balled up into fists
"I don't know how you found out..."
She lowered her head
"But I have no other secrets!"
Gengar only smiled an evil toothy smile
".... Ok then, I guess you wont mind if I tell the master how you feel about him! I guess you wont mind me telling him what you do in the restroom whenever he's not looking! The moans and sighs of pleasure you give whenever you sleep! The altar you build in the backyard in that secret compartment behind the shed! The time you almost tried to force yourself on him when he slept! So much stuff to tell... yet so little time to do it!"
Rasputin was blushing harder than ever before, she was on the verge of tears. How had he found out so much? Gengar continued
"I know a lot more than you think; Rasputin! And believe me; if you dare to cross me... everything you've hidden up to this point will come out, then we'll see who wants some privacy..."
With that Gengar shank into the shadow. His voice emanating from every corner of the room
"Remember! Keep your distance, and no one will know..."
That night, Rasputin had cried herself to sleep, thinking how miserable her life had become. To make matters worse, Ragde had taken a new routine, putting her down whenever he could; calling her 'weakling' and 'a shame' his attacks also became more vicious.
Now, she had had enough of it... she was going to kill him, here and now.
Rasputin continued her attack on Ragde, punching without mercy. Ragde managed to hit her, knocking her off, but as soon as she hit the ground, she was already charging a shadowball, pointing directly at Ragde's face. Ragde took a few steps back, his rage now replaced with fear. He had never seen Rasputin so mad in his life; she was in such a rage. He took a few more steps back and spoke in a shaky voice
"Ok! Ok! OK! You win!"
Rasputin was completely ignoring him, she was ready to fire when all of a sudden, she was held by a pair of hands by the shoulders, she was so shocked by the sudden touch, she turned around and fired her attack right at Edgar's head. Rasputin let out a scream of pure horror as she saw Edgar's head explode, leaving nothing but a stump where his head had once been, his blood pouring all over the floor. Rasputin fell on the floor, shaking and grabbing her head in utter remorse. Ragde who had been watching this let out a scream of pure rage and hatred
"YOU BITCH!!! YOU KILLED HIM!!! IM GOING TO KILL YOU!!!"
Rasputin still held her head in utter shock at what she had done, she had killed the only person that had ever shown her any kindness, her hands shook uncontrollably, she was sobbing, she kept denying herself
"No, no, no, NO! WHAT HAVE I DONE!"
Ragde was now right in front of her, using his right arm, he grabbed her by the neck, with the other, and he drew his leaf blade and pointed directly at her heart. She knew what was coming; she knew she was now dead, tears streamed down her face, her heart heavy with guilt. Just as Ragde got ready for the blow, Edgar's headless body stepped in front of the incoming attack and took the full blow. He was chopped in half by Ragde. As soon as that happened, Ragde let go of Rasputin in fear of what he was seeing.
"OH GOD! WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON!!"
Edgar's body was rising from the ground, his two halves connecting with one another via red tentacles that brought the two pieces together, all the while a new head grew from the stump in his neck, the process was, at least to Ragde, extremely disturbing. Rasputin was in a state of shock as well, never in her life having witnessed something as grotesque, yet wonderful. When Edgar's body was in once piece again, he spoke in an amused tone to both of them
"Now, there is no need to kill each other! If you need a punching bag, just take it out on me!"
Ragde was at first in such a shock, that he found himself lost for words; Rasputin on the other hand, felt a huge wave of relief hit her; she hadn't accidentally killed Edgar after all. But then, another thought dawned on her head. If Edgar could re-grow and recover himself in such a manner... then whom had she eaten earlier? Had it been? She turned around and summoned a pin, usually used for the curse attack; she used this to make a small cut in Edgar's arm. Once he felt the small sharp pain he let out a small yelp
"Oh! That hurt"
She blushed a little
"Sorry, I just need some of your blood"
She took a small droplet of blood, and tasted it. She immediately felt sick and started to wobble from side to side. Edgar noticed this and caught her before she fell on the ground, he seemed worried
"What's up with you?"
At first Rasputin found Edgar's embrace too good for comfort, she resisted a strong urge to hug him back, she was still feeling sick, she spoke in a faint voice
"I don't feel so good all of a sudden..."
Rasputin noticed that Edgar was still only wearing a towel, and that made her feel even more uncomfortable, but she tried to ignore it, but then it hit her, if she wanted to tell him the truth, she had to do it, now.
*************************************
Mephisto was waving his arms back and forth, he would have looked stupid, had not been the fact that he was signaling an incoming gunship. The ship roared on top of him for several seconds, until a dark purple charizard jumped from it, as soon as he landed the gunship left as fast as it had gotten there. As the Charizard got up, he met Mephisto with a laugh. Mephisto simply looked irritated
"Took you long enough to get here"
Sain shook his head, maintaining his smile
"Traffic was a bitch, had to bail from the ship to get here. Anyway, this the location?"
Mephisto looked up, his HUD had all the information they needed, and he nodded
"Yes, that hospital over there is the place where we can find him"
Mephisto pointed at a huge building it was surrounded by thousands of people. Sain surveyed the area, he seemed to place extra attention to a couple of good looking Charizard ladies who where dancing at the doors of the hospital, he seemed to be getting the hots for them, Mephisto noticed it and laughed
"You know, those ladies over there are screaming the name of our target, right?"
Sain shook his head; he had to focus on his mission.
"Ok then, how about we have a talk with this guy, get to know him, and then see how things go from there; ok?"
Mephisto nodded
"Then we kill him, right?"
Sain only shook his head, while managing a laugh
"Is everything we do have to have death involved?"
Mephisto looked the other way, he snorted and let out sinister tone of voice
"...Maybe"
Sain shook his head again
"OK then.... Lets go"
Mephisto followed closely as both of them made their way past the crowd. Surprisingly no one was pushing or shoving, as a matter of fact, these people where very polite, maybe too polite. As both Sain and Mephisto made their way to the main gates of the hospital, Sain stopped to 'observe' the charizard ladies that were dancing at the side, he began to drool just a little. Mephisto tapped him in the shoulder
"*Cough* pervert *cough* cough* ok then"
He held his hand forward in a polite go-ahead motion
"Shall we keep going?"
Sain looked grumpy at the fact that he had to leave such beautiful young ladies unattended, even if they were infected by a parasite, but they seemed normal, even better than normal... they seemed to have a certain lure...
Sain was starting to question whether this parasites, where actually parasites. Mephisto brought him back to reality
"Ok, Darkrai is already inside, so we have someone who has already softened the situation just a bit, so our job should be easier"
Sain looked surprised
"What! You mean that nightmare freak is inside? Oh damn..."
Sain looked worried about something, Mephisto ignored it as he called an elevator. It took several minutes to get down. Sain still had the same anger in his eyes. Mephisto could not ignore his curiosity any longer
"Just what do you have against Darkrai anyway?"
Sain sighed as he turned to face Mephisto
" It's none of your business"
**********************************
Edgar entered the room where all of his 'servants' where at, he helped Rasputin sit down, Olivia had her arms crossed, she seemed upset about something, Edgar noticed it but still maintained an innocent look
"What?"
She pointed at him, he was still wearing only the towel she had given him earlier, and he shook his head
"You know, I don't have a change of clothes"
She shook her head, and suddenly, disappeared. She reappeared several seconds later holding a fresh pair of clothes, a backpack, and several other things. She tossed him the clothes she had brought him, it was a dark faded jacket, some black pants, a pair of light black converse like shoes, a red shirt, and a headband with a skull on it, Edgar looked surprised
"How you know to get my favorite clothes"
She pointed at her head, she sarcastically added
"Oh you know, I guessed it!"
Edgar only laughed; Olivia had some sense of humor....
"Ok, I get it..."
He looked around at his servant
"Uh... could I get some privacy?"
All of the people in the room made a salute gesture and left the room, in seconds the only people and pokemon inside the room where Edgar, Olivia, And Rasputin. Rasputin had recovered from her sudden quiziness, she was still nervous. Both of them ignored Edgar until all his clothes where on, by then he broke the silence
"There is something I want you both to know"
Both Olivia and Rasputin looked at him
"Both of are the best girls anyone can ask for, you know that right?"
Both Olivia and Rasputin looked at each other, and they both laughed, Olivia spoke while still laughing
"I think what you mean is: that I AM the best girl you could ask for!"
Edgar was the one to laugh now
"Hahahahahaha, no. I meant both of you!"
Olivia only shook her head; she was beginning to get irritated
"I think you're mistaken, you see, Rasputin here is a guy!"
Edgar once again shook his head
"no, no, no, he's a she"
Rasputin fell of the bed in shock, she was blushing furiously, as if she had done something quite embarrassing, Olivia only looked at her in disbelief, Rasputin was the one to speak now
"...I'm sorry, I meant to tell you guys sooner, but apparently, things got out of control. But, how did you know?"
Edgar sat back into the chair, he straightened himself
"Well, lets just say a little bird told me. To tell you the truth, I wasn't very surprised, I always had a feeling you were a girl, but I never really got the evidence to make my conclusion... that is until a few days ago, when you were sleeping... well lets just say that you can't hide smell from me anymore."
Rasputin looked down in utter embarrassment; she was blushing so furiously that her face was almost red in color. Olivia only shook her head
"You know, you could have told me, I would have kept your secret safe!"
Rasputin only shook her head, she knew otherwise very well
"I didn't want to tell anyone until the time came, but I wasn't even sure when that time would come"
All of then simply looked at each other, an awkward silence filling the room for several seconds, finally after about a minute of silence, Edgar broke the ice
"Well, at least there are no more secrets among us now."
He got up and looked outside the window
"But I am telling the truth, both of you are the best girls a guy could ask for! So don't feel bad, there's plenty of me to go around!"
He raised his hands and laughed, both Olivia and Rasputin looked at each other, and both of them blushed. Suddenly the door opened and Darkrai entered the room, he looked at Edgar who was still laughing like a maniac, he raised his eyebrow, Edgar finally stooped laughing when he saw Darkrai. He got close to him, and raised his hand and pointed at him
"What do you want now?"
Darkrai only spoke in a serious tone
"Come with me, someone wants to see you"
Edgar looked at his two girls, and spoke in a manner that was different from his normal tone, almost in an intimate teasing tone
"I'll be back later, ladies"
As he said that he laughed. He left the room. Olivia hated when he got like that.
Both Olivia and Rasputin where left alone in the room, for a few moments, all that could be heard was the clock ticking. None of them made any motions or sounds. Finally, Rasputin started to laugh, Olivia got a little curios
"What's so funny?"
Rasputin kept laughing
"Oh, just the fact that he is SOO in love with me!"
Olivia raised her hands in anger at her
"I believe you mean he is so in love with ME!"
Rasputin only kept laughing
"No, NO; I think he loves me more! And I can prove it!
Olivia was now getting annoyed but Rasputin
"Well then, go ahead, PROVE IT!"
Both of them stared at one another, as if trying to cause the other to flinch.

Edgar followed Darkrai closely, they where going to what was obviously a conference room. Edgar wondered what the hell Darkrai wanted in the room, but as soon as both of them stepped in, they were greeted by two figures that for some reason gave him the creeps, in the other end of the table was Gengar, he was fully awake. Edgar couldn't resist asking
"When did you wake up?"
Gengar only snickered, like he normally did. He spoke in a sarcastic tone
"Why master? Did I miss something important?"
Edgar was about to open his mouth, but close it halfway, maybe it was best left untold, for now at lest. Both figures looked at Edgar with surprised, but it was the marowak who spoke in the harshest tone
"THIS IS OUR TARGET? I was expecting someone more.... Intimidating..."
Sain only laughed at his companion, yet his stare remained blank when it came to Silth. Silth would occasionally give him a glare, almost as if he was sending a message to Sain, one he understood well, for he stayed quiet. He simply turned around and spoke in a cheerful manner
"Mephisto, Mephisto, you forget, sometimes the biggest of packages come in small sizes"
Edgar was now pissed at these guys, whom the hell do they think they are calling him short?
"HEY, DON"T CALL ME SMALL, SHRIP OR MIDGET!!!"
As he said that, he summoned his disk blades. As soon as the blades appeared, both Figures spoke in a calm, almost amused tone; a tone of laugher could be sensed in their voices
"That's him."
Both of them looked at Gengar who had the same usual smile on his face, then they faced the door as Darkrai walked in, followed by Giratina, who bumped her face on the top of the door frame, she cursed under her breath as she sat on the floor. Sain got up and cleared his throat rather forcefully
"Well then, since were all here, I guess it's time we got to the point. Mephisto if you please"
The marowak got up, Edgar noticed that he was just as tall as he was; he had never seen a marowak that was so tall. He pulled a folder from underneath his coat, and laid it across the conference table, his next words where almost devoid of emotion
"As you already know, our original mission was eliminate the subject; Edgar Sysoles"
Edgar gulped; he remembered clearly Darkrai and the fight that had followed, which had nearly killed him. Edgar hoped he would not have to fight again; he wanted to avoid going postal at all cost
"But just as we feared, the Imperfect Parasite has bonded with the subject in such a manner, that any attempts at extermination, are rendered useless."
Mephisto turned to face Edgar
"Well, I should be congratulating you, officially, you can never be killed. But true immortality still eludes you. Since you can't be killed, there is no point in killing you anymore, not that we could anyway, and the council knows that"
Without even realizing what he was doing, Edgar got up rather violently, his face filled with frustration, he had enough of this bull, he wanted answers, and he wanted them now. He slammed his hands on the table, making everyone flinch slightly
"DAMMIT! Who the hell is this council you keep talking about!!! I WAN'T ANSWERS!! NOW!!!!"
Mephisto looked pissed at Edgar, just as he was reaching for his weapon, Sain tapped him in the shoulder, Mephisto calmed down only slightly. Sain got up and began to speak "Well, I guess you do deserve an explanation. Well, where to start... the Council is a secret regulation group started by humans and pokemon several thousand years ago. Its main purpose is to keep the peace between the species, while at the same time, maintaining total secrecy. In many ways, the council is a Para-military force you do not want to cross. The council is composed of several members, most of them handpicked by the 'higher powers'
Only those who are deemed worthy are chosen to be members, among the council you will find several of best trainers, leaders, and elders in the world. The higher powers that control the council are divided into a hierarchy that expands several levels, the highest belonging to none other than the phoenix Ho-Ho herself, the next level belongs to the elemental ones; Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno. Next come the legendary dogs, then Regigas and his army of Regis. Last but not least Darkrai and Giratina"
Darkrai raised his hand, Giratina nodded, Edgar looked back at them both, and he had no Idea what kind of power these two held. He looked back at Sain
"Ok, I get it. But what are you supposed to be among the council?"
Sain smiled
"Well, nothing really. I'm just the leader of the most feared PMC in the world, Legion. I was just hired to get the job done"
Gengar directed his gaze towards Sain, who gave him a cold stare back, but maintained his smile rather forcefully
"So then, what's the new objective?"
Sain forced a smile on his face again
"Glad you asked. As you know, our mission has drastically changed; we are now to bring Edgar, and anyone who might be involved for protection. As you know, our enemies are mobilizing fast, and if they get their hands on him, there's no telling what will happen"
Edgar got up once again, slamming his hand on the table yet again, everyone turned to face him in surprise, and a tint of fear could be seen in Darkrai's eyes
"Who the hell are your 'enemies' and what does it have to do with me!?!"
Gengar got up, and closed his eyes
"To get the mess that we are on today, you have to know the full story..."
Gengar opened his eyes again, this time though, he began to glow. As he did, his body began to change dramatically. The light was so bright that it nearly blinded all of them. After several seconds of intense light, a man stood where Gengar had once been, he was the same size as Edgar, and to everyone's surprise, looked exactly like him as well. Every detail copied to the exact hair. Edgar was shocked to the point of having no words in his mouth. Sain let out a laugh, this time it wasn't forced
"Silth, did you to do it so soon? Couldn't we have waited until later?"
Gengar shook his head
"It's time"
He turned to face a dumfounded Edgar
"By the way 'master' my real name is Silth, thought you should know"
Edgar was simply lost for words. Silth began to tell his story
"This is what really happened.............. Several eons ago, a violent war raged across the universe. You see, mythology speaks of an evil force that matched Arceus in strength and power, but what they never mention is that, the evil had a name.
Its name was Ixol, or most commonly knows simply as 'The Beast' this being was Arceus's child, created by Arceus himself to be his exact equal. But Ixol was exposed to shadow energy when he helped to create and shape this universe, in many terms; Ixol was the first shadow pokemon in existence. In time, both Arceus and Ixol came to a conflict over who was superior in power. Both of them made a deal; they would duel, and whoever won would be considered the true power of this universe. But Ixol had other plans in mind, when they finally fought; Ixol used most of the shadow energy in this universe to gain the unfair advantage over Arceus. Eventually, Ixol won the battle, and according to the deal they had made, he became the 'true' creator. But Arceus would not give up so easily... he used the last of his life energy to destroy Ixol's body. Having no body to inhabit, Ixol wondered the universe until he found our world. Arceus being severely weekend left our dimension to heal. To this day, nobody had seen him, or even heard of him. But that changed a couple of months ago, when he contacted the council. Now they are under his direct control."
He stopped, took some air, and continued with his story.
"Several thousand years later, around the 1800's-"
Edgar interrupted his story
"Wait a sec! How do you know so much about the beginning of the universe? No one should know how it all started"
Silth simply laughed
"I am a lot older than you think"
Edgar's head began to hurt, just trying to estimate how old he was gave him headaches. Silth continued with his story
"Anyway... I came across the spirit of Ixol during my many travels; it had taken refuge in the body of a little Riolu. This pokemon had lived for thousands of years already, not as old I really was, younger by maybe by a couple thousand years. Anybody who Had Ixol's soul was granted immortality to a certain extend, but at a terrible toll. When I found him, the boy had been driven insane. To my surprise, a part of Ixol's soul made a jump into my own body; thus, granting me immortality as well, not that I needed it being a ghost type and all. As it turned out, this boy also had minute remains of Arceus's DNA in him. For the next couple of years I spend every waking moment trying to extract both of those DNAs, but up to this point, I have only been able to duplicate it. In the process though, I discovered something else, I discovered how to create morphs. Human/pokemon hybrids, I in turn became the first morph during the onset of the First World War. Nobody else wanted to take part in the experimentation at that point in time. So during the Second World War, I made my move and finally created other Morphs, but since then, I have left such research behind, though it might come useful someday"
Sain snorted, and Mephisto growled, nobody but Edgar and Silth seemed to have noticed it, Edgar wondered what was really happening. Silth only kept going with his tale
"By the year 1998 I had made a deal with the devil. By working with the Cipher syndicate, I gained unlimited founds, but at the same time I was forced to work on a project, 567400"
He pointed directly at Edgar
"You"
Edgar gulped; he knew where this was going. Silth continued his story
"By the year 2009, I had done what no one though possible, I had made a near perfect copy or both Ixol's and Arceus genetic make up, thanks to that little Riolu, but by then he had already become my first foray into the project, he became project. 56699, a forerunner to you. But by far, you are my most perfect creation; his powers pale in comparison to yours! But even with the success of my previous attempt, I needed genetic materials to create you. So I used the genetic makeup of a subject that was given to me by Cipher. But back then; I had no Idea who I had desecrated. now, I have a pretty good Idea who it was"
Sain was the one to growl louder this time, Mephisto slammed his hand on the table, if this kept going; they would need a new table soon. Mephisto, who had gotten mad, spoke in a chilling manner
"Those bastards got Ratlis and his family! He used to be one of the best in legion, almost to my and Sain's level. Never had I seen someone fight with such spirit and fury.... Cipher will pay for what they did! If you weren't on our side you would be first!"
And with that, Mephisto sat back down again, shooting a cold stare towards Silth. He continued speaking as if nothing had happened, but Edgar could tell these three shared some kind of hatred
"Anyway... things went wrong, I had intended to use only half a soul, but instead I somehow ended up using all of Ixol's soul. Cipher then took over, and performed a sick act of forbidden science; they used ancient art and new science to turn Edgar, who had been a pokemon at first, into a human being. Thus, unwillingly you, Edgar became the second pokemon to human morph"
Edgar looked as though a hammer had hit him. All this time, up to a couple of days maybe, he thought he had been with his real parents, and that he was a normal kid, when in reality, his father was Silth his Gengar, and he was not even human. The more he though about it, the more wrong it seemed. His father was a pokemon, or morph, or whatever he was; but to him, he was still a pokemon. And he himself was part pokemon as well. That would explain why Silth disliked pokeballs so much. And why he never kept any of his pokemon in them, I guess that ran in his genes. Edgar faced Silth. He only laughed at Edgar's facial reaction
"I know what you're thinking! You don't need to call me dad or anything, I am only your partial creator, your real family is Sadly unknown. The only real family you probably have left is Cipher and I"
Edgar was still recovering, when Darkrai spoke in a surprised manner
"How long where you planning on keeping this a secret?"
Silth turned to face Darkrai
"Not for very long, after Edgar was attacked by those imperfects, his real genetics awoke from slumber. You of all beings should know that better, specially considering you own me your life. And besides, you both had already known my story from the start, so why ask me why I kept it secret? You both are chock full of secrets!"
Darkrai cursed under his breath and took his seat again. Silth cleared his throat again
"Anyway, I presume you want to know who, or what the imperfect are, right?"
Everyone in the room nodded, Darkrai still seemed to be quite annoyed
"Ok. Project 567400 began right about the same time I joined Cipher, at the time, the only real experiment they were working on was Project: corruption. This project was meant to corrupt pokemon's souls, making them evil. But the experiment failed miserably when the shadow Lugia they had bred for this project was killed in a freak accident. After that, all funding went straight ahead to my department. They where very specific on what they wanted: they wanted me and my associates to create a parasite that would, once inside the subject's body, become a symbiotic part of it, leaving no trace of its previous existence. The process would take five days to complete, and once done, the subjects would become three types of imperfect: V1, V2, and V3. Most Imperfects created are V3, or free willed Imperfects, they would appear completely normal unless their powers where brought out by force. V2 imperfects could only be created via an Imperfect queen using spores. These types of Imperfects will follow most orders given to them unless their wills are strong. V3 Imperfects are the most dangerous of the three; these beings have devolved from the previous types and no longer retain control of their bodies. Running completely on instinct and orders given to them by the queen, they are the most dangerous and difficult to dispose of. They can be only created by direct contact with the queen. But there are five beings that can control all imperfects, including queens. More on that later"
Sain seemed interested
"That would explain why this whole city is infected, the spores must have been released but how did they spread?"
Silth looked rather guilty
"That is my fault. I created a machine that was specifically designed to spread the genetic spores into the air; anyone within a ten-mile radius would become infected with the Imperfect strand. But since this strand spreads via spores, and not direct contact with the Queen, all imperfects created are free willed or V3. The last genetic strand to be tested was Edgar's, so that only laves two options open; either someone or something activated the machine, or someone had set a timer that would activate the machine after a certain period of time. In either one of these cases, the spores are already loose, and by the looks of things, the whole city's come down with the sickness"
Silth turned to face Edgar once again
"I'm guessing you already know what this means?"
Edgar shook his head, becoming a little irritated at this, of course he knew what it meant, but he sure as hell did not want any of it. He lied
"How the hell AM I supposed to know what to do?"
Silth let out a small evil laugh, as he laughed, he turned back into a Gengar to everyone's surprise. He continued laughing; finally he managed to say what he wanted
"Well, you have an entire city crying you name! You have the genes of two powerful god-like beings in you; you haven't even fully discovered what your are capable of yet! Think about it. Your inability to die by physical force, your regenerative powers, the fact that freewill Imperfects consider you their master....
You are an IMPERFECT GOD! There are only five like you in this world, I suggest you use your newfound powers to-"
Sain who had gotten up ratter quickly cut him short
"The council has already recognized what kind of power he holds, that's why we were sent to retrieve him and anyone who might be involved."
He looked outside the window
"But it looks like I'll be needing a bigger ship!"
Edgar turned to face both Darkrai and Giratina. Giratina rose her had and began to speak in a deep, dark manner
"Our missions where originally to terminate you, but now; its our mission to keep you alive. The tempest is already on its way, I feel rough seas in the horizon..."
Darkrai was second to rise and only smiled
"No hard feeling about nearly killing you, right?"
Silth turned and faced the window, his visage filled with worry all of a sudden
"That's one down, five more to go"
Everyone then settled down back into his or her chairs. Edgar was pressing the subject even further
"Ok then, so who are the other Imperfect gods, and what are they able to do?
Silth turned to face Edgar, then the entire group
"I should tell you all now that the name of my first creation is Sectran, and he might pays us a visit soon..."
******************************
The Council chamber had grown quiet, it was a magnificent room made of crystals, this place was sacred and secret, no one but the highest members of the council knew of its existence. All of them had been in a heated discussion on what sort of action they should take next. Ho-Ho was the first to break the silence with her magnificent voice
"Well, I say we let things run their course, if he turns into Ixol, then we will have no choice but to exterminate him, but if he doesn't, then we might just have ourselves the perfect weapon, though I still believe we should give him a chance to prove himself"
Zapdos looked at her with some rather strong sense of annoyance
"This council has survived for millennia! What makes you think that this boy is the one to destroy us?"
Regigas only shook his head, even for his size, he still managed to fit into his chair
"It's not just the boy we have to worry about, it's the other five that still walk the earth, they may be neutral at the moment, but if they get the wrong Idea... not even my armies can stop them"
Ho-Ho spoke in a firm voice that reassured her position
"You all speak as though it is already loss, we have time to see how things turn out!"
Moltres blurted out from his perch
"Have you forgotten about Sectran?"
Ho-Ho shook her head, how could she have been fooled into believing him? Now he was a treat to everyone, if he got his hands on the Imperfect gods... then all was lost. She nodded
"You're right! But I still say we stand back and see how things turn out. Or have you forgotten about Darkrai and Giratina?"
The rest of the floor went quiet, they all had completely forgotten about those two. Though Lugia still had a bad feeling about it
"I don't like those two, they seem to know something we don't..."
Ho-Ho simply raised her wings
"There is only one thing to do at times like these; we must consult the lord"
She continued to raise her wings, pointing at a rainbow colored gem in the ceiling, as soon as she began to concentrate, the sphere began to glow, then suddenly, a voice filled the room, it was a strong, gentle powerful voice that filled everyone in the room with peace and fear all at once.
"I... Say... we... wait... and... See..."
And with that, the voice died down, and disappeared, Ho-Ho looked at her fellow members, all of which had began to talk amongst themselves, eventually all of them turned to face her and nodded. Ho-Ho beamed
"It is settled then, we wait."
*********************************
Deep inside another dimension, a strong powerful being was deep in thought.
"So... Things are turning out as I planned them? Excellent! Soon I shall have a new body to call my own, and soon... this world will learn the power of a forgotten god... Soon... soon... Very soon...
