Chapter 2: Tour of Evetopia

When you woke-up the following morning, the first thing you noticed is the mouth watering smell of a delicious meal, followed by your stomach growling. You remembered that you didn't eat anything the other day. You turned over in the hammock and noticed that Evaan was not there. You patiently climbed out of the hammock, and went outside following the scent of the meal with your sensitive Eeveé nose. It lead you to the back of the tree house, an area you didn't notice the previous day. There was a wide outdoor space behind the tree house where there was a small wooden table that apparently was set-up for a meal, with small stone bowls and wooden plates. At the corner of the open-space you noticed that Evaan was roasting something over an open-fire. He looked up at you and smiled.

"Finally awake I see". said Evann. "Your just in time for breakfast, I could hear your stomach growling all the way from here". Ignoring Evann's little exaggeration you looked at the thing he was roasting. "What are you making over there?" you asked. "Just roasting some nutritious herbs" said Evann, "it is one of the best choices for breakfast. I call it Tilues". "Tilues?" you asked giving Evann a strange look. "It is an ancient phrase meaning 'roasted leaf'". Evann then took the Tilues off the fire and placed it into a large stone bowl containing other ingredients, then to your surprise he tossed the bowl up in the air and in less than a second Evann was in mid-air holding the now empty bowl. "Breakfast is surved". said Evann after landing back where he jumped from. While puzzled you turned your head to the table and was surprised to find that the Tilues was now in those smaller stone bowls you saw earlier, ready to be eaten.

"What just happened?" you asked in complete shock. "That was one of my techniques," said Evann. "Its called 'Quick Attack', it allows me to move so fast that I couldn't be seen. What I did just now was mix the Tilues and the other ingredients while the bowl was still in the air and then tossing a handful of the mixture into those bowls you see before you." After listening to what he said you looked back at the filled bowls. "Amazing" you said, "I didn't even see you doing it, all I saw was you tossing the bowl and you appearing in mid-air and holding that tossed bowl." Evann walked over to his side of the table. "Dig in." said Evann, "we wouldn't want it getting cold now, do we?" You both sat at the table and you looked at Evann as he was scooping up a handful of the green, red, and white mix and then eating it off his hand. Seeing as you don't remember much about table manners you believed it was okay to eat that way. You also scooped up a handful and smelled it, and for some reason felt your mouth began to water, so you gulped down on the handful and found it to be delicious.

Before you knew it your bowl was empty. "That was real good", you said, "but I wonder why I felt like I ate a lot only after eating one bowl ful." "It was like I mentioned earlier," said Evann, "this is the perfect morning breakfast, because it prevents you from getting hungry for a whole day." You looked down at the two empty bowls on the table and said, "I get it now." After a brief moment of silence, Evann looks up at you. "Okay Silvian," he said, "I'd better tell you about where we are."

"This region is called Evetopia, and currently we are in Moss forest, but there are six other key areas in the region. These areas include Tundra Village, Ambur City, Aqua Coast, Spark Mountain, Solar Hill, and Shadow Village.

"There are two kinds of beings in Evetopia, and these are the neutrals, who are like you and me with the distinctive brown fur. And the evolveds, who are unique to every key area." Evann gets up from the table and says, "I will tell you the rest after I introduce you to a friend of mine back at Moss village." "Moss village?" you said as you were getting off the table, "so you and I aren't the only ones out here?" "Not really." said Evann while walking toward the spiral stairs. "Now come on, lets go." you complied and followed him down the spiral staircase, then followed him down a path you haven't seen yet. After what felt like a five minute walk, you and Evann came to a clearing where you saw hundreds of tree houses surrounding the clearing. These tree houses were identical to the one where you first met Evann, only this time some of them were larger and most of them were connected to each other by rope bridges. "Here we are," said Evann, "Moss Village."

As you and Evann walked across the clearing you noticed dozens of other anthrop Eeveés walking around and a few of them staring in your direction. But you also noticed something different. Amongs the anthrop Eeveés were a bunch of Antro Leafeons. They had the same pupilless black eyes as the Eeveés, but had a tan colored fur all over with a shade of dark brown on their paws, but what really made them different from the Eeveés was their leaf-like ears, a single leaf that sprouts from their forhead, a bunch of smaller leafs on certain part of their bodies, and their long, smooth leaf-like tails. Out of minor instinct you found them rather attractive. "Are those the evolveds of the Moss village?" you asked Evann. "Yes" said Evann.

Soon you and Evann went up a spiral staircase to one of the tree houses and then crossed a rope bridge to another tree house and went to the front door. Evann knocked on the door and answering the door was another anthrop Leafeon. "Its been a while hasn't it?" it said as it went over and hugged Evann. "you've been out searching for herbs for quiet some time." While Evann and the Leafeon were talking to each other, you observed the Leafeon and judged by its curves and its voice that it was female. She was wearing a thin brown leather dress that covered her from the top down to her thighs. When they were done talking, she turned to you.

"And who's your friend here?" she asked, You blushed and didn't know how to respond. "Er... I ... emm... my name is... Silvian." you sruggled to say. She came over and hugged you, "nice to meet you Silvian" she said, "I'm Iola." The warm feeling you were getting from the hug, and the aroma of clean air coming from Iola made you speechless and blush even more. When she finally released you from the intracing hug she when back inside the tree house. "You two coming in?" She asked. "Sure." said Evann. He turned his head to you only to see you frozen in the position you were in when Iola hugged you. "Are you coming in, or are you going to stare into space like that all day." said Evann laughing. His words broke the trance you were in. "Huh? Oh... right. I'm Coming." you said feeling rather embarrassed.

Inside the tree house looked more like a green-house. On every corner there was row of wooden plant pots each containing a variety of flowers. And in the middle of the floor was a silk mat. You, Evann and Iola sat on the silk mat facing each other while having the following conversation.

"Let me tell you about Moss Village." said Evann to you, "It is believed to be the most peaceful and tranquil of all the key areas in Evetopia. Not only because its semi-isolated, but also because the villagers here rely on each other to survive." You turned your attention to Iola. "But their is still something I don't understand," you said, "how do the others become evolveds like you?" Iola gave a ponderng expression. "I'm not really sure," she said, "it usually depends on birth trates and how long you live in one of the key areas."

You, Evann, and Iola continued the conversation for so long that you didn't even notice the sun had already set. "Man, I'm bushed." said Evann while yawning. "Then its a good thing that I have two extra hammocks," said Iola, "I insist that you two say with me for the night." "You bet I am," you said, "I'm too tired to go anywhere anyway."

And with that Iola stretched out three hammocks and then went over to Evann. "Goodnight." she said and kissed him on the cheek. "Goodnight," said Evann as he headed over to his hammock. When Iola started to walk towards you, you knew what she was going to do. And you were thinking that if you reacted that way to a simple hug, imagine how you would react to a simple kiss on the cheek. But trying to avoid being rude you stayed still waiting for the inevitable. "Goodnight Silvian" she said and gave you the expected kiss on the cheek, walked over to her hammock, climbed in and went to sleep. Even though the kiss lasted about half a second, you still felt like she has her lips planted on your face as you just stood there.

"You're not going to stare into space all night, are you?" said Evann breaking your trance once again. "Oh...er...sorry. I just had something on my mind, that's all." you said as you walked over to the remaining empty hammock and climbed in. "Sleep tight." said Evann. "You too." you said. You had a hard time sleeping, because you couldn't get that simple kiss off your mind.
