Chapter 2
Chapter 2:
After waiting a few hours, the sun began to rise above the mountains in the distance. In the sunlight, the broken remains of the mighty Artemis could be seen in the distant waters. Figuring that the poke'mon he had been waiting for would not come, he walked into the forest. He had decided it was time to pay his friend Kio a visit. As Jeremy walked along the path leading to town, he saw a few houses along the side of the path. The island that Jeremy lived on was mostly populated by poke'mon, but as time went on, more and more humans came. He looked off into the distance where he could see a large fence that was blocking view of something. Jeremy decided against investigating , at least until he got a new ship. Kio owed him an extra ship, because he saved him from the mighty Kyogre some years back. Until now, he had not needed any other ship, other than the Artemis, but now it was simply a large amount of wood out in the middle of the sea. Jeremy had finally arrived in town and could see Kio's house. He walked up to the door and walked right in.
Kio: "Hey Jeremy! Long time no see!"
Jeremy: "Yeah, sorry we had to meet on these terms though."
Kio: "What terms?"
Jeremy: "I need another ship."
Kio: "You don't have Artemis anymore?!"
Jeremy: "It was destroyed by a herd of Gyarados."
Kio: "And you expect me to just give you a ship?!"
Jeremy: "If I recall correctly, you still owe me one ship."
Kio: "You must be insane! I don't owe you a ship!"
Jeremy: "Need I remind you of the incident involving Kyogre?"
Kio: "Oh, fine. But don't expect any more free ships. You break this one and it'll be your ass that pays for the next one, not me."
Kio then walked to his desk and opened a small drawer. Being a machop, he had a human-like body, which meant he could open a drawer, unlike most poke'mon. He pulled out a few papers and thumbed through them. He found which paper he was looking for, and with a stern look on his face, gave it to Jeremy. Jeremy gripped the paper in his mouth and began walking towards the door.
Kio: "I swear, you really should have left me to be killed by Kyogre. Then I wouldn't have to deal with your reckless sailing."
Jeremy: "Aw, come on Kio, I'm not that bad am I?"
Kio: "Get outta here ya little fur ball."
Jeremy: "Thanks Kio!"
And with that, he ran out the door to make his way towards his house. As he approached, his house, he went inside and put his paper from his mouth onto the stand next to his bed. He then walked out the door and headed towards the beach again. This time, however, he saw the same tail he saw before. It was sticking out of the water near the shore. Jeremy quickly gripped it with the only thing he could. His teeth.
Poke'mon: "Aaah!! Please don't hurt me! I don't taste very good, and-"
She looked back at her tail.
Poke'mon: "Hey, you don't look dangerous." It was a Milotic!
Jeremy still had the Milotic's tail in his mouth. The slack of the tail slapped him in the face.
Jeremy: "Oww! What did you do that for?"
Milotic: "You were biting my tail."
Jeremy: "Anyway, what's your name?"
Milotic: "My name is Mimi, what's yours."
Jeremy: "I am captain Fletcher, former captain of the Artemis.
Mimi: "Former captain?"
Jeremy: "My ship sunk after I went overboard.
Suddenly, a thought came to Mimi...

Seamen: "Captain!"
Many people on the large ship shouted as a bright red orb flew through the railing and towards the water. Mimi decided she should try to help, so she swam as fast as she could over to where whoever was falling. She arrived there just in time to catch "the captain." As it landed on her back, she let out o yelp of pain, because whoever landed on her was burning hot and singing her skin. Mimi hurried up and put him on a nearby beach hoping that he would awaken from being unconscious, most likely from smashing through the railing of the ship like that. She quickly swam away as she saw him start to regain consciousness.

Mimi: "Hey! You're the Vulpix that I saved from the water that one day."
Jeremy: "You're the one who saved me?"
Mimi blushed.
Mimi: "Yeah, I'm sorry I left you on the beach, but you really burned my back bad."
Jeremy: "That's fine, I'm all right. Why don't you come over to my house for dinner? It's the least I could do for the poke'mon that saved my life."
Mimi: "Um... Sorry I-I-... I need to, um, go. I'll just meet you here tomorrow."
Mimi waved with her tail and dove under water. Jeremy was disappointed that she had to leave so soon, but he was content with at least knowing who it was that saved him. Then again, he couldn't seem to shake the feeling that he needed to properly reward her for saving him. With this in mind, Jeremy made his way to the department store.
