She was horrified, here she was caught sneaking into Jim's private stuff and even pleasuring herself to them. "So, where did you find my password?" Jim asked in a calm voice though he did sound a little irritated. Eevee leapt as fast as she could to get away from Jim and hide under the couch but as she jumped, something wrapped around her tail and stopped her. A quick glance around showed it was his hand and he didn't have a very amused look on his face. "Come on now, out with it. Where did you find it?"
Eevee just looked at him for a second then muttered something. Jim was not amused however, "Just because I'm human doesn't mean I can't understand you. Now quit calling me names and just tell me where you found it!"
This brought a shocked expression from Eevee. "You can understand me?"
"Yeah. Why is that so shocking? Did the professor tell you anything about me before we met?"
"N- no? He just told me he found someone for me..."
"Hmm, well I guess I'll save that conversation for another day then. So where did you find that password anyways?" Jim decided to get a couple towels to clean up the mess while he interrogated the Eevee in his hand.
"Un- Under the desk. It's on a yellow note."
"Thank you," with that he wrapped the Eevee in a small towel and set her down on the couch to dry off while he cleaned up her mess on his desk. Sure enough the note was under the keyboard tray. He took it down and quickly changed the password so that she wouldn't get back in that file and find the pictures of him in there. He rounded the corner back to look at the Eevee who was just emerging from the towel he wrapped her in, "Well I'm going back to bed now. Try to get some sleep, and I'll have a chat with you tomorrow."
She nodded as Jim picked up the towel and threw them into the hamper on his way back to his room. He sighed and crawled back into bed to finish his sleep while Eevee lay awake out in the front room. She had too much on her mind now and was still startled from being caught only a few minutes earlier. Why can Jim understand me? The professor has worked with pokemon for years and even HE can't understand me. I wonder what else was in that file, I was only halfway down when he stopped me.
After about an hour she had calmed down enough to get some rest until she heard something coming from Jim's room. It sounded like laughter or something similar, so she got up and walked over to see. Jim's door wasn't closed all the way and pushed open without a sound. She half expected the door to creak as it opened but apparently Jim took care of his house but her thoughts were stopped short when she heard Jim start talking in his sleep.
"Oh Xegony, I love you so much. I can't wait for our pups to be born!" he went quiet again after mumbling this, leaving Eevee in a bit of shock. Who is this Xegony? And pups? Why pups? What is he dreaming about? She jumped up on the footboard of his bed and watched him for a minute. He was smiling and cuddling with a big pillow on the bed. Suddenly his expression changed and he shouted, startling her, "NOOOO! Xegony, no! Run! Don't let them get you too! NOOOO!" With his last shout he bolted upright and looked around. When he realized he was still in his bed he relaxed and sobbed lightly while holding his head in his hands. He dropped his hands to his legs when he felt Eevee step onto the sheets and walk slowly towards him. "I didn't wake you up, did I?"
Eevee just shook her head and sat down next to his knee, a concerned look on her face, "You okay?"
"Yeah, I get that dream from time to time. You're the first person to catch me in that dream though, usually I'm alone."
"Did you want to talk about it?"
He just sighed and laid back down, "Not really, maybe another time though." Eevee just walked over and hopped onto his chest. She laid down on his chest when he started to pet her and snuggled into his warm body. With a smile he continued quietly, "Thanks. I think I see why Yamaki wanted me to have you around." When he didn't get a reply he looked down to see her sleeping softly with his hand on top of her.
Morning broke and Jim was headed out to the back yard to stretch and practice his martial arts. Eevee had rolled off his chest and was sleeping at his side in the morning which made it easier to not disturb her. He stepped out to the front room to do his Yoga stretches before his practice he did every Tuesday and Wednesday morning. The sliding door to go outside was at the end of the hall next to the closet he kept most of his martial arts equipment in, including kendo sticks, robes, and a pair of swords he uses for practice and show. He put on his robes and pulled out one of the kendo sticks to get some exercise in. Half of his yard was fenced in with a tall cinderblock wall to keep people out and shattering objects in, which has come in handy on a few occasions when a kendo stick or an arm on a dummy broke off and went flying. Wooden fences would just be too expensive to repair every week so he settled with the more user friendly material over aesthetics. Even though his house was modest, his yard definitely was not being the size of a large battle stadium and being on the outskirts of the town made it easier to have this large size.
He set his kendo stick on the table near the house and started on the punching bag with series of punches and kicks to get warmed up. Eevee heard the commotion and made her way outside, taking in the yard until she found Jim beating the crap out of the punching bag, every kick sending the bag flinging outwards only to stop or be sent back by his fists and feet. She knew he was flexible but he looked way to thin to be able to hit THAT hard. Though, when he took off the robe she noticed that he was well muscled but still rather thin. She decided to watch him from the bench as he came over and grabbed his kendo stick. His speed and agility was amazing, moving as fast as a pokemon could while using a high level agility and much faster than she could at her current level. Though now the question stands, how does he move under pressure? She needed to test this and hopped off the bench towards him hoping to catch him off guard and make him stumble. She moved as fast as she could and got up under his feet...doing nothing to him? He just moved around her and was smiling as she sped around trying to trip him up but he dropped down to the splits right above her making her dash out of his way. As she darted away a foot came around and launched her up into the air only to be caught by a hand... upside down. "You're going to have to move a lot faster than that if you want to trip me up little one," He got an evil idea, "but if you feel like using me to get your skills up," he set her back down on the ground, "then grab me some gloves out of my closet over there, it should still be open." He walked over to his water jug and poured a small glass while he waited to see what she did and, as he thought, she went and grabbed him some gloves. They were padded so neither of them would get hurt much from any impacts though he was only planning on using them to stop her if she decided to try a tackle move on him, for now.
"Okay, Eevee. Show me what you've got," he crouched down into a stance as he waited for her to act. She cocked an eyebrow at him wondering, what could she do to him? The only move she knew so far was tackle. Well I may as well try this... She ran at him and tried a tackle directed at his stomach only to find the palm of his hand in her way. With a dull thud she hit the glove and fell back to the ground, "Good! Keep trying to hit me, come at me from any angle you can and keep it up until you're tired or I'm on the ground!" He got back down in his crouch and awaited her attack, hoping she was planning on going all out on him.
Even with the glove on hitting his hand was like running into a tree and her head was sore from it but how was she going to knock him down? Well if she couldn't hit him she was going to try her damnedest! She gave a small growl and hopped to the side before trying another tackle towards his side. Blocked! Ok, through his legs and try from the other side! Blocked again! She kept trying from different angles and even from directly under him to no avail. In the end she wound up exhausted gasping for air. "Well you definitely lasted longer than I thought you would, good job! We should do this again some time." He picked her up off the ground and set her on the bench before pouring a cup of water over her. She gasped at the cold but didn't do much more than shake it off before laying back down again; the water felt good on her heated up body anyways. Jim set down a small cup next to her and a towel to dry off with before sitting at the bench with his own glass of water. A smile crept across her lips while she lay there, eyes closed. This was the most fun she has had in a long time and it was going to pay off too. A glance towards Jim made her stop smiling though, he was staring off into space lost in thought about something.
"...Jim?" she cocked her head to the side while looking at him.
"hmm? Whats up?" for a second he forgot who he was talking to until he noticed her glaring at him. "Oh... right, sorry. I was just thinking about a couple things is all."
She rolled over onto her back and faced him, still curious as to what he was thinking about, "like?"
"heh, you are a curious character aren't you. You know, I was wondering last night, do you have a name yet?" a wiggly shake of her head was the reply, "ahh, well I thought up a name that would probably work well for you, what do you think of Dylia?"
Dylia? Hmmm, that's an interesting name... I kindof like it though. A smile crossed her lips as her tail started to wag, "It's nice!"
"Awesome! I had hoped you would like it. Just didn't seem right calling you Eevee all the time... you aren't anything like any other Eevee I've ever seen so I thought a little more uniqueness would be good," a smile crossed his lips as he rubbed her belly making her purr softly. "Well I've gotta get some work done now so what do you say we head inside and relax while I get some of this job done my boss dropped on me?"
Dylia wasn't paying any attention to Jim, only to the fact that he was rubbing her belly but she groaned when he picked her up and carried her into the computer room. She had already dried off without the towel so Jim had brought it with him and set it down by his computer before setting her down on the towel upside down like she was out on the bench. She wiggled her way into the towel to get comfortable and just watched Jim through half closed eyes. He was typing and clicking away, completely focused on his computer screen though he would glance down at her every once in a while and smile for a few minutes. I like his smile. It makes me feel all warm and tingly. She closed her eyes and just smiled.
Around lunch time his phone rang. When he answered it Dylia's face went white. "Oh! Hi Claire! How're you doing? That bad huh?" Jim just laughed for a minute, "right, right. So what's got you calling today? Coming tomorrow? Should be here around eight? Sounds good! I've got a new friend I'd like you to meet when you get here too. I think you'll like her. NOOO not that kind of friend. Well you'll just have to wait till you get here then... HAHAHA... I'm not telling. Fine I'll see you tomorrow. You promise?" Dylia heard Claire hang up on him and he set down the phone with a huge grin on his face. "Well looks like we're getting company a little earlier than I thought. She'll be here at around 8 o'clock tomorrow." When he noticed she was still in shock he rubbed her belly, "don't worry, I won't tell her you saw that video if you don't want me to."
Dylia started to relax when Jim started rubbing but calmed down more when he promised not to tell Claire what she saw. "Well its time I went to the grocery store. Going to need some food for the next couple weeks. Want to come? I'll let you pick out some snacks."
At the mentioning of snacks, Dylia jumped into action and jumped into Jim's satchel hanging next to the door, "Yay! Let's go!"
"Haha, sorry I don't take that with me when I go shopping. I take my car. I only take that with me on bike rides." She got a sad look on her face but jumped out of the bag and stood by the door waiting anyways while Jim got some shoes and a jacket on. He opened the door but scooped up Dylia before she had a chance to run out and carried her to the car. She was going to protest until Jim started scratching her mane while they waited for the garage door to open fully. I mean, who would complain when getting one of their favorite spots scratched?
A rather uneventful car trip later and they showed up at the supermarket. Dylia thought the place was huge but Jim complained saying "they don't have enough food". He pulled out a cart, deposited Dylia in the kids seat, and headed inside. It took an hour but he got everything he wanted save the meat and breads he wanted, those were at a different store, and was only stopped a couple times by some ladies doing their shopping and one kid with his mom who tried to challenge him to a battle. He wasn't interested in the ladies for some reason, even though he was single, they were hitting on him, and were beautiful, but the kid he took the chance to have some fun with, asking what he had, how he treated them, gave him a couple pointers, then reminded him he was in a supermarket with his mom and not out on the road. The kid was pretty bummed about the last remark but Jim just smiled and shooed him back to his mom, he must have been only nine but he seemed to take care of his young Zangoose well enough. The checkout girl gave him the most trouble though as apparently they knew each other.
"Well well well. What have we here? Jim coming up to my line with a pokemon? How old are you again?" she was wearing a grin a mile wide and looked just like the waitress from the restaurant the day before. You know, the really annoying one who was loud and obnoxious?
"oh Hah Hah, yuck it up, Jane. You're just jealous is all."
"Jealous? HAH why would I be jealous?"
Jim got an evil smirk on my face, "Oh I don't know. Why don't you tell me?"
Jane just coughed and started scanning the items and changing the subject, "not your usual purchase here, having company over?"
"Yeah, actually. Not to mention this newcomer to my household that I agreed to let pick out a couple items, hence the snacks that I normally wouldn't eat."
"You always have been rather health conscious. Or would that be obsessive? You never can tell. Though I have noticed you never buy meat or bread here. Why's that?"
"Yeah, why is that Jim? Meat is the best part!" this came from Dylia who was listening to the whole conversation.
Jim just laughed, "well if you must know, there is a bakery around the corner and a butcher a little farther down the street. I like my bread and steaks a little more fresh than a supermarket can deliver. No offence, I'm just picky I guess."
"Well that would explain it. Though still doesn't explain why you never gain any weight if you're eating all that meat!" she poked his stomach in jest but found out it was rock hard and toned, giving Jane a small start, "oh my!"
"and THAT is why I never gain any weight eating my steaks. I do work out you know." He was trying to keep from rolling in laughter at Jane's expression. "Here's my card Jane, hurry up and run it through before you turn into a berry! Jeez I don't think I've ever seen your face so red." Of course his last comment didn't help at all with Jane's embarrassment as she finished scanning the items and swiping his card through. It didn't help much that she looked and dressed like a stereotypical wanna-be-goth girl. But that is just her way of hiding the fact she is and will always be a sweet innocent Christian girl.
Behind Jim was a large man who was just smiling and ogling at Jane though so once he left she got back down to business. Jim was still smiling on his way out to the car though, "You know Dylia, That is actually Lacy's twin sister."
"Lacy? Who's that?" she had an idea but wasn't about to make assumptions.
"Lacy? She's the crazy waitress at Tony's. Guess i forgot to mention her name. You would never guess they were born the same day with the different personalities. I think that's why Jane dresses the way she does. Wants to be different than her sister."
Dylia took it in with a nod but started to giggle when she remembered how Lacy acted in the restaurant. But thinking about food made her stomach growl at her so she jumped down into the basket to find her Twinkies. Jim heard a muffled voice coming from the basket a few seconds later, "Jim! Little help in here please!"
A glance down showed why it was muffled, Dylia had gotten the box open but fell down inside it and got trapped amidst the yellow snacks. With a laugh he pulled her out by the tail and watched her as she dangled one of the unopened snacks from her clenched teeth. "a little impatient I see, here let me help," he set her down in the seat again and opened the snack for her, "make sure you save room for dinner, you still haven't had any of my cooking yet."
A short trip, a stop by the bakery and butcher, and a couple Twinkies later, and they were back home. Jim had to carry in Dylia and put her in the bathroom sink in case she lost her lunch after eating three Twinkies faster than she should have. After munching on one himself he got to cooking some dinner. He had some pidgey breast pieces spiced up and in the oven to cook and picked out a couple vegetables to go with them. Normally he would only eat a salad with his meat but he hadn't eaten lunch today so a little extra food was in order.
Dylia had moved out to the front room to relax and enjoy the smells of dinner cooking. She didn't feel much like eating any more but the smell was still pleasant. A knock at the door brought her out of her reverie and she noticed Jim didn't hear it so she walked over and fought with the door trying to get it open. "Jim really needs to get a handle on this door instead of the knob so I can get it open!" *click* "Success!" the door slid open and she looked around it to see who it was that knocked only to see a certain Flareon standing outside with a hooded cloak on. "uhhhh," she paused for a second then shouted into the house, "Jim! Someone is here for you!"
A quick glance around the corner and Jim walked up to the door, "who is it Dylia? Oh..."
"I... I'm sorry, I think I have the wrong address. I didn't mean to disturb you." The flareon turned to walk away but stopped when Jim spoke again.
"Claire? No wait, it's me."
"Jim? No... it can't be."
"It is, I swear. Please, come in. I wasn't expecting you until tomorrow. I'll explain once you're out of the cold."
Claire wasn't too sure about what was going on but decided to follow anyways. He knew her name so either he knew Jim or something happened to him since she last saw him three years earlier. The Eevee at her feet looked extremely confused at the moment as well which made her relax a little at the funny sight.
"I think I need to explain to Dylia here as well, but first, take a look at this picture." Jim showed a picture to Dylia once she sat down in his lap. It was of another being like Claire but he looked half Umbreon and half Mightyena.
"Hey! He's hot! When can I meet him?" she hadn't noticed Jim's hand turn black but looked up when he took the picture away to put it back in his wallet.
"You can meet him right now if you wanted. In fact you already have." She could have sworn she was sitting in the lap of a human just a second ago, now she was sitting on the lap of the person in the picture! Dylia was extremely confused at this point and Claire was just staring slack jawed at what she had just seen.
"Ho... How did you just do that! That was amazing! Why can't I do that?!"
"That I don't have an answer for. But if you'd like we can go visit Yamaki tomorrow to ask him if you can learn the same way I did," he rubbed back the hair on his head and scratched behind an ear, working the kinks out of his fur. He also took the liberty of removing his shirt since it was just getting in the way and felt uncomfortable. "So anyways, Dylia, this is really me. I'm actually not human and that's why I can understand you. Claire," he turned to look at her, "I learned how to do this to save my job not more than 2 months after you left a few years ago. Some of the customers of the company found out about me and told my boss they wouldn't do business with him any more unless he got rid of me for a human. He told me and I sought out the professor to find out if we could fix the problem. Well this was his solution, I'm not sure how it works but, I can change to and from a human about once a week. So I will look like this for the next week or longer, depending on when I decide to change back. Usually only if I have to meet a customer. Soo, any questions or comments?"
"Wow," this came from Dylia, who was still sitting in his lap. Jim couldn't tell if she was just in shock or if she was admiring the view... she did say he was hot just a minute ago.
"so what else haven't you told me, eh Jim?"
"well that's the only 'life changing' I've gone through since we last met besides Dylia here coming home with me. Other than that nothing." He glanced at his the clock on his wall and noticed it was getting late... and his dinner was still on/in the oven. "Errr, you hungry Claire? I made dinner already but Dylia here is stuffed on Twinkies and won't be able to eat her share, I'm sure."
"Sure, why not. I haven't had good home cooked food in a while," they both got up and walked into the kitchen, Dylia in Jim's arms and staring up at him.
When Jim set her down on the table to dish out the food she finally realized she's been staring at him this whole time. A glance over to Claire rewarded her with a smile as she sat down at the table. "So, how long have you two known each other?"
"I think it's been almost eight years now, hasn't it Jim? Since I found you out in the forest?"
"That it has. Eight years come Thursday next week actually," Jim was smiling as he set down a plate for him and Claire. "That is a day I will never forget."
"Me either, though I still manage to forget what day it was. So since I have the next week off from work, you mind if I stay here so we can celebrate? I couldn't make it last year and I'd like to be around this year."
"Sure, if you'd like to. Would you mind sacrificing the couch Dylia?"
"I don't miâ""
"It's been five years and you still make me sleep on the couch?"
Jim just sighed, "you know I can't let you. Besides, last time you slept in my bed I wound up with charred fur!"
"I told you I don't know how that happened! I swear! All I remember was sneezing in my sleep and waking up to the smell of burnt fur!" Claire was having fun poking fun at Jim apparently.
"yeah yeah, I'm still not gonna let you sleep with me. Besides, don't you have Myst to keep you company?"
"Ugh, I had to give him to a breeder. After that one day all he wanted was sex sex sex! I just couldn't take it anymore but the final straw was when he hit me with a hydro pump and got me sick for the next week, and all because I wouldn't have sex with him. I thought about getting him neutered but decided to give him to a local breeder instead."
"Oh, I'm sorry..."
"don't be, it's for the best I'm sure."
Dylia was still sitting on the table listening but blushing heavily by this point. The video of Claire had come back to her at the mentioning of sex. "So do you have anyone else to keep you company now?"
"Hmm? Oh no. I haven't found anyone yet. Kindof didn't want to find another Myst. I'm sure someone would drop in eventually. Just wish Jim would get over his issues with me and do something like... I don't know, kiss me or something?"
Jim knew that was coming from a mile away though and just shielded his eyes from her glare before she could meet his eyes. This wasn't the first time she had tried anything with him which is why he avoided getting in any romantic situations with her. He'd rather find someone special rather than just a good looking bed warmer like she wanted even though she would never openly admit it, 'specially not to him.
Talk about a whole new level of awkward. She really doesn't hide much does she. Dylia could hear Jim muttering under his breath something along the lines of "I don't know her, I really don't know her" over and over.
"Well dinner was great as always Jim. Wish we could do this more often though!"
"Yeah, it has been hard to meet up since you moved a couple hundred miles away. Why did you move to a trainer infested area anyways?"
"you already know the answer to that one Jim. I moved there for my job. The pay and benefits were too good to pass up and they really could care less that I'm not a human. No one really even seems to care actually and it's a nice change... you still worried about some trainer going to catch you and keep you as their pokemon?"
"Yes, actually. Its quite annoying getting challenges from trainers even as rarely as they come through this area." He flashed a glance to Dylia that said 'we'll talk later'. Apparently there was a couple things he wanted to talk about in private.Chapter End Notes:dont shoot me alright?! i stopped it there because i didn't know of a better place to. i actually had this all done when i uploaded the first chapter...but then scrapped it and rewrote it differently. i like this better though.

He walked over to his water jug and poured a small glass while he waited to see what she did and, as he thought, she went and grabbed him some gloves.
