Heaven's Chosen by kiro

Glimpse of Power

"So Xehan is dead, I guess that means his apprentice is as well. I suppose that leaves me to finish this.
Come to me Barton, Kiro, Calus, and let me use your power to open the gates of Heaven and send my
army to victory. I, Lucifer, will tear your hearts out."

After a week of rest Barton was fully healed, ready to find Haven's base and end there fight. Before he
could leave though, Kiro and Calus had one final test for Barton. They brought him outside and away
from the cabin, telling him nothing other than it was important. "So what did you guys bring me here for?
Did something happen?" Kiro nodded and smiled, "No, we just need to test something." Barton tilted
his head a bit, "Test what?" Calus pointed at Barton, "You. We need to see your full power before we
go marching up to Lucifer, we need to see if you can handle your elements at their fullest. It's easy, we
want you to bring all your elements up to their maximum." Barton nodded, "But should we do it here, I
could cause the mountains to crumble." Kiro and Calus both flew up a bit, waving Barton to follow.
They flew up high enough to touch the clouds before they stopped and stared at Barton. "This should
be high enough to be safe." They both backed off a bit, "Ok, whenever your ready. Just remember to
bring ALL your elements out." Barton nodded and closed his eyes. He brought his fists to his waist as
he concentrated, his mind trying to calm all of his questions.

After a couple of seconds Kiro was growing impatient. "What the hell is taking so long?" Calus
shrugged it off, "Just wait, we are asking a bit much of him." Kiro growled and stared at Barton again.
As his thoughts quieted, the clouds around Barton began to circle around, slowly at first, but growing
ever faster. Barton took in a deep breath as the clouds began to swirl around him. Calus called out to
Barton, "Barton, all your powers, all at once." Barton sighed deeply as the clouds swirled around him at
hurricane speeds. The ground below began to shake as Barton brought his powers out to their fullest.
As each of his elements were brought out, the planet began to show a toll being taken. The oceans
became violent, swirling madly, most ships refusing to budge in the weather. Another threat was that the
volcanoes were in danger of erupting from the earth's shaking. Lightning began to strike the ground in
quick succesion as the skies grew dark and cloudy for hundreds of miles. With a roar that was heard
for miles, Barton's eyes shot open and his powers exploded, shockwaves were sent out, pushing Kiro
and Calus back. Light was pouring from his eyes as fire erupted from his mouth, engulfed him, and hid
his body from view. Inside the flames Barton's body was changing, his clothes, muscles, everything was
being transformed.

With another roar of power the flames iced over and exploded, revealing the new Barton. His hair was
white, short, and spiked up, as it had been against Xehan. His shirt was gone, replaced by a silver
armor that covered from his torso to his wrists. In the middle was a black cross with icy blue angel
wings on both sides. He was wearing red gloves that had three spikes on the back, arranged in a
triangle. His pants were gone, replaced by a black cloth with a blue stripe on each leg. His shoes were
also replaced by a set of chain shoes, they were black in color and had flames carved into them. His
muscles had bulked up as well,he was almost frightning to look at. His eyes almost seemed to stare into
Calus and Kiro's souls. Kiro smirked and nodded, "Not bad kid, not bad at all." Calus nodded, "With
your major elements bulked up this far, we may yet be able to beat Lucifer. But we need to work on
getting you to be able to bring Time and Space elements to this level. So for the next week we will train
until all elements can come out." Barton nodded and sighed softly, his new clothes fading away and his
hair returning to normal.

As he reverted back, Barton smiled, "So, am I strong, or lucky?" Kiro flew
over to Barton and patted his back, "No worries, your strong kid, very strong." Calus nodded and
started flying back towards the cabin, "Let's get back before Bria gets mad again." Kiro snickered,
"Aw afraid of her are we?" "Yeah, you crack jokes, let her lecture you for endagering Barton and we
will see if your cocky." Barton laughed as the trio again returned home. This time, he was hopefull and
confident of what he could do. "I can do it, I know I can. But..how do I train space and time?" Calus
stopped flying and stared down a bit, "Well the simple truth is you use them a lot to build up a tolerance
for them. But even that is dangerous in the fact that they take a huge toll on your mind. So we start
slow, and work our way up." Barton nodded, "But what will I be able to do with them?" "Well time
will be more of a defensive technique since you can really only pause time. But as you work with it you
will be able to pause time for longer and longer. As for space, you will be able to travel anywhere in the
world in an instant, so its also more of a defensive ability." Kiro nodded, "Even if you could do more,
the amount of pressure they put on you makes using them offensively fairly hard. Let's get back and
eat, and we will begin your training." Barton nodded, began flying back to the house. "I wonder, what
Lucifer can do." Calus smiled, "Doesn't matter, we will stop him."
