Heaven's Chosen by kiro

The First True Encounter.

Barton woke up in the same position as he had fallen asleep, on Lauren's breasts. He was greeted by
Nadi, who kissed his lips lightly and smiled. "Hello my little hero, did you sleep well after your night of
fun with Lauren?" Barton blushed and immediately looked up at Lauren, still sleeping. "Don't be
embarrassed, Chavely and I know what happened and we don't mind. You are the hero of the world,
who cares how many people you have sex with?" Barton smiled and pulled Nadi into his arms and
kissed her lips lovingly, "Thanks Nadi."

As Nadi and Barton talked, Eireka and Marcia were talking amongst themselves, mostly about
Chavely's disappearance last night. "She never came back," Marcia asked. "No, she's still gone, and
I'm starting to get worried." The two talked more, mainly about Chavely and eventually decided to tell
Barton and Nadi. They headed for Barton's room, still wondering about Chavely and why she was
gone.

Barton looked up in disbelief as he heard about Chavely's absence. "Do you think she was kidnaped?
Can you reach her psychically lady Mew?" The tiny kitten nodded but sighed, "I can but there is no
response. She is either ignoring it, or incapable of a reply." Barton hung his head before immediately
jumping up, "Can you track her with your powers?" Marcia smirked, "Do you forget who I am, I can
track any living being that I can communicate with. All I have to do is send a message, and I will have
their locations in a heart beat." Her reply made Barton smile wide, "Then can you track her now, please
Lady Marcia?" The pink kitten sat on Barton's head and nodded, "But we need to move as fast as
possible so I think it would be best for just us to go." Barton nodded and waved to everyone else, "We
will be back soon, so wait here won't you?" Everyone nodded and wished them luck.

As everyone waved and said goodbye, Barton and Marcia were talking telepathically. "So which way
do we go?" Marcia concentrated for a second before responding, "North, she seems to be in the old
tower where lady HoHo once resided." Barton nodded and sprouted wings of ice, "I think flight would
be the fastest route, any objections?" Marcia shook her head, "None, but try not to get spotted, humans
don't need to know what's going on quite yet." With that, Barton flew up and while using the clouds for
cover, headed for the tower in Eucreatic.

The flight lasted only about ten minutes but it gave Barton time to think about what he would say to
Chavely, as well as what he would do after getting her back. When they arrived, they opted to land on
the roof so no one would see a teenage boy flying with a Mew on his head. As they landed the two
heard a menacing laughter behind them, "Congratulations, you did well to save those two flying
weaklings, but I wonder if you can save yourself?" Barton turned in time to be grabbed by the neck by
a man wearing a black shirt, leather jacket, black jeans, and black sunglasses.

"I must say, I am surprised, someone so young took out a group of our privates? Not bad, but I doubt
you could beat me. Ah, how rude, I forgot to introduce myself, my name is Captain Xen, but for the
small time you have left you may call me Xen." Xen smiled and slowly squeezed on Barton's neck,
"You must be Barton, nice to finally meet the famed "Chosen," our boss was a bit worried you'd be a
threat to our plans, but I guess I'll be able to tell him his worries are over wont I?" "Not yet Xen, why
don't we let him die with peace of mind about his beloved Chavely?" As the voice spoke, a medium
sized woman walked out of the shadows and smiled. She wore the exact same clothes as Xen, but she
also had a black bandana and red tinted sunglasses.

"You have a habit of hurting those with peace of mind, Kaene." Kaene bowed and walked beside Xen,
"Yes but you love it. Well I guess you want to know about Chavely? Sorry to say but the real Chavely
has been dead for almost six years. I guess not even her angelic brother knew of it. After we killed her,
we believed replacing her would eventually lead us to you, and what do you know here we are."
Barton's mind was buzzing with questions, but he was unable to speak because of the hand wrapped
around his throat. "I can tell you want some answers, so why don't I give you some? Who was the
Articuno you were with, that was I, out of everyone in New Haven, I have the unique talent of shape
shifting, so after I had Chavely's memories transplanted, I took over in her place. How did no one
know she was dead if her soul should have gone to heaven? Well that was the trick, we kept her soul
locked so we could draw on her powers and use them to get to the rest of the legendaries."

Barton's eyes had tears slowly forming in them. From day one he had been deceived and used. "Aww
don't cry, you can see your real mother and father after we kill you. You will even get to see Calus
again, don't you want that?" Before anything more could be said light appeared from the clouds, causing
them to part. A figure was slowly descending from it, but no one could quite make it out. Everyone
followed the figure until it landed about four feet away from them. With tears in his eyes, sword in hand,
and anger clouding his vision, stood the angel Calus. "Oh look, the failed guardian came to save the
Chosen," Kaene mused. Xen tightened his hold on Barton and smiled, "One move, and the world's
hope dies at my hand."

Before Calus could move or say anything Barton's left hand reached up and grabbed Xen's throat. As
Kaene turned, a sword pierced her heart and spilt her blood on the rooftop. She looked back and saw
Calus as the other end, reaching for his other sword. As Xen looked on, Calus took his other sword
and thrust it through Kaene's neck, silencing the shape-shifter forever. Xen looked back to Barton, only
to see eyes of pure hatred staring back at him. With a voice that no one could recognize, twisted by
hatred and loathing, Barton spoke, "Suffer.." With that, Barton's right hand balled up and slammed into
Xen's face forcing him to release Barton, who just hovered there, silently. Xen stepped back a bit
before he extended his arms to the side and yelled loudly.

As soon as Xen began yelling a dark aura grew around him and, the shadows from all over the town
came alive and shot out to him, engulfing his
body and giving him power. The shadows formed a circular shell around Xen, preventing anyone from
seeing inside, or getting inside. Barton slowly allowed himself to land and gently spoke to Marcia, "You
must leave, get back to the group and tell them what happened. I will follow shortly." Before Marcia
could complain, Barton grabbed her and tossed her in the air, "Go, tell them and wait for me." Marcia
nodded and flew off. As she did, the shell cracked and began dissipating. When all of it had gone, Xen
stood there, wearing solid black armor, a red jewel glowing in the center of his chest. He held his hand
out in front of him and a sword made of shadows formed.

Barton hovered in the air again, his hole body extended as far as it could as he let his powers explode.
Calus followed suit and both of them floated before Xen. Barton's hair had turned red, grown short,
and spiked up. His eyes were a silver color and his body had lightning coming off. Calus had remained
unchanged other than his wings were gone and he also had lightning coming from his body. The two
warriors of good looked at Xen who smiled and held his left hand out at Kaene. Shadows invaded her
body, healed her wounds, and brought her back. She stood without a word and drew her sword, her
body had buffed up, and she had black fire in her eyes.

Xen charged at Barton, he through a left hook which was caught by Calus who brought his knee up into
the chin of Xen, sending him flying upwards with Calus following. Kaene took the chance and ran at
Barton, her sword aimed for his throat. When she came within inches of him, he brought up two fingers
and caught the sword between them. "You're a fool," After he spoke he slammed his fist into her
stomach, causing her to spit up blood and double over. Barton grabbed her arm yanked it toward him,
and brought his knee into her stomach again. As she stood there, he yanked her arm again and
slammed his fist into the side of her face. He repeated the process until she could no longer stand or
kneel, she could only lay limp, being held up by her arm. Meanwhile, Calus had caught up to Xen and
spun kicked him in the chest making Xen fly further into the air. Calus gathered light and lightning in his
hand and flew at Xen, without the use of his wings. When he caught up to Xen he flew past him until
Xen started falling back to the ground. Calus paused and took off full speed, his fist drawn back. When
he again caught up to Xen, he slammed his fist into his back, releasing all the energy which pierced his
body and a white beam with a blue tint was seen hitting the ground. When the beam went through him,
Xen's body began to disintegrate, until nothing but the jewel remained. Calus took the jewel in his hand
and crushed it, sending Xen's soul straight to hell. Having seen Xen's death, Kaene looked to Barton
whose hand had finished gathering energy. She spoke, trying to save herself, "Please wait, if you kill me
you won't have clues to the location of Raiku and Entei...They need help as they are being pursued by
a
general..." She smiled up at Barton, "Can you say you don't feel compelled to help them? Kill me now
and you condemn them to death..." Barton's answer was swift and merciless, he punched her hard
enough to put a hole in her, his hand sticking out of her back, blood dripping off it. "We will find them,
we will save them, and we will protect the world." He watched her die before pulling his hand back
through her and letting her fall to the ground with a sickening thud.

By the time everyone arrived in Eucreatic, the battle was over and the victors had calmed enough to
revert to normal. Barton's hand and most of his front was soaked in blood, and Calus wasn't much
better off. As Nadi approached Barton, she immediately remembered when he had slaughtered the men
who tried to rape her. She stopped moving and looked at Barton, she felt the color rush from her face
and she dropped to her knees. Barton walked to her slowly and hugged her gently, "I didn't lose
control again, I just..couldn't let them live after what they did." She looked up at him before nodding
and hugging him. "Marcia told us about Chavely. How's, Calus taking everything?" "He killed
the other one. He will be ok, once we free Chavely's soul from the New Haven leader." Nadi nodded
and stood up slowly, leaning on Barton for support.

Nadi and Barton approached Calus, who waved and smiled lightly. "Everyone knows what happened
don't they?" Barton nodded and sighed, "Yes. But we all agree to help take her soul back so she can at
least be free." Calus nodded and smiled, "Then I'll get back to gathering information, I'll keep you all
posted with what I find." Barton nodded and smiled, "Please do. But can you answer a question for
me? I was able to see myself in a window, why did my features change when I powered up?" Calus
gave him a funny look, "You were using the powers of fire and lightning, so your features changed to
match which elements were taking priority. Your main emotions were sorrow and anger weren't they?"
Barton looked down and nodded slowly. "Don't feel too bad, those were mine as well, but I can't use
fire, so lightning took priority." Barton nodded and looked at Nadi, "Well, I hope that doesn't happen
to me again, I felt so...angry. I could barely control myself. I have another question, what was that jewel
and why did you destroy it?" "Ah, that was a life force jewel. The higher ups have them so if they die
and the jewel is still in one piece they will live and the jewel will grow a new body. Well it is time for me
to return so I must be going, take it easy everyone." Calus smiled and walked off until he was out of
town, he then flew straight up and back to his post in Heaven.

Barton took everyone to a restaurant so they could relax and plan their next move. "So what do you
guys think we should do now?" It was Eireka to speak first. "I think we should head to the Sinoh
region. We have some friends there that may be able to help us." Barton nodded, then added,"How do
we get there?" "We can fly there, it would be easier to do that I think. All we need is a map there and
we could fly there with you." The group agreed to find a map and head to the Sinoh region. After lunch
they went to the Pokemon Center and asked Joy if she had a map. "Nurse Joy, do you have a map or
directions to the Sinoh region?" She smiled warmly and nodded, "I have a Pokemon that needs to get
back to that region, but I can't find anyone willing to take her, if you help me I will give the map to you."
Barton shrugged, "Sure I guess we can do that." Nurse Joy smiled and waved for them to follow her.
She led them to the back and into the bunking area, "This is where she is, her trainer brought her in and
never came back." She opened one of the doors and walked inside with Barton. "She is a female
Lucario, she has no name, and she's very shy." Barton slowly approached the Lucario, she looked up
at him and backed away. She sat against the wall with her head turned away from him. "What..do you
want?" Her ability to talk caused Barton to stumble a bit. He sat down on the floor next to her and put a
hand on her shoulder, "Can I ask you your name?" She looked up at him sadly, "It's Bria.." She turned
back and looked at the wall. "Bria, that's a beautiful name. So Bria, may I ask why are you sad?" She
didn't look at him, "My trainer said I was too weak to be of any use, so he put me in a battle to weaken
me, then I got beat up and he abandoned me here." Barton drew her into a hug slowly and stroked her
back. "That guy didn't deserve someone as sweet as you. I can't stay too long," his words made her
tear up, "But.. I'd like it if you came with me." She looked up at him and nodded, "Ok."

The pair walked out and were met by Nadi first. "Is she going to travel with us?" Bria nodded and
hugged Barton's arm tightly. "She is, but I think she is shy, so we should let her meet everyone one by
one." Nadi smiled and walked out to the main waiting area. She sent Marcia in to meet Bria, the two
talked for a second before Marcia left and sent Eireka in. It took a bit before Bria and Barton walked
out, Bria still latched onto his arm. Everyone smiled and welcomed her warmly, she blushed and waved
at everyone. She stayed by Barton's side as they went back to the hotel and to their separate rooms.
Bria wouldn't leave Barton's side so they ended up sharing a bed, only Bria slept, Barton was up all
night thinking over the days events. He had lost Chavely, killed an upper ranked New Haven, met a
Lucario and is now going to go to the Sinoh region. He rolled over and stroked Bria's cheek and pulled
the covers up over them both. "Sleep well, I just hope your going to be able to handle everything we tell
you tomorrow."

Barton woke up first and decided to get some breakfast, so he left and ran to a nearby fast food place.
As he was gone Bria woke up, she became distraught and worried. She looked around but Barton was
gone. She cried and pulled the covers up to her tighter. It was fifteen minutes of crying when Barton
came back with the bags of food in his hand. He set them on a chair and sat beside her on the bed.
"Hey hey, what's wrong love?" When she heard his voice she pounced on him and held him tightly. Her
words were stuttered and almost intelligible. "I...I thou" was all she could get out before Barton pulled
her into his lap and stroked her cheek. "I'm not leaving you, I just wanted to grab some breakfast for
you and I." She looked up at him and kissed his cheek, "Promise you won't abandon me?" Barton
smiled and nodded, "I promise, as long as you want to remain with us, you can." She laid her head on
his chest and smiled with tears still streaming. "Then tell me your story, why are we going to the Sinoh
region?" It was about an hour before Barton finished telling her what was happening to the world and
that he was supposed to stop it. "So..you're the Chosen, the one to save the world and bring peace?"
He nodded and smiled, "That's what I was told." Bria kissed his cheek and stood up, "Then I want to
help you, you shouldn't have to do this alone." Barton smiled and hugged her from behind, "No worries,
I'm never alone. But I'd love to have you with us." The two smiled and held each other tightly, "Then
let's get going."
