*Mecha-mightyanador opens a door and turns on the lights* Ahem last chapter we saw Inferno and Sky just wandering about haveing no destination in mind. After a storm hits and send them into a cave and after they do their usual activity a blast from the past came. Rika was the pikachu, now a raichu, that Inferno save from a pack of growlithes. Thats how he got the scar. What will happen now is the one thing I know you want to know so listen up and youll learn. *faint scatch at the door.......turns head* What the hell?
It was still pouring down as the night wore on. Inferno stood speechless. Sky was in the same boat. Rika just giggled, "I suppose you didn't recognized me since I'm a raichu and all huh?" Inferno just nodded, "Thought as much. I wasn't expecting you here either. Or to see you with another friend." She turns to Sky, "Nice to meet you I'm Rika as I said before and your?"
Sky regained her sences, "I'm Sky."
"Sky huh? Nice name I think cloud or something along those lines would be better since you look so light and white like a cloud." Rika gave a friendly smile and wave, "So why are you two traveling together? Knowing Inferno from back then it was probably a chance encounter right?"
Sky nodded, then turned to Inferno, "Are you gonna talk or just stay their with a dumb look on your face." It sounded kind, but Inferno heard the edge in it.
He quickly composed himself, "Yeah that was how it was at first." Rika had a confused look.
Inferno told her of the mightyena pack that had intended to rape Sky when they first met. He then told her about their second encounter with the pack and how Sky took down the leader. Rika had been patiently listening and nodding, "You know I heard a big pack of bad mightyena had been destroyed due to two travelers. Didn't think you would be the ones to do it. But that happened a while ago how long have you been traveling together."
Sky answered, a bit defencivly, Inferno knew he was in for a whole lotta hell, "About three and a half months now."
Rika got a horrible little look with an evil little smile, "Gee that long huh? I wonder why have you stuck with her that long? When you went off to do your traveling thing you had told every girl looking to have you as a mate that you wouldn't settle down anytime soon."
Inferno went bright red, "Alright fine so I found someone I enjoyed being with. I didn't expect to meet Sky."
"Ahh you were always so cute when you were shy." Rika chuckled, "And you were hardly ever shy when I met you."
Sky cut in at this point, "So I quess from what your saying you must have stuck around Inferno after he saved you?"
"Could you blame me? I mean there I was about to get seriously thrashed by a group of growlithes, all becaused I said one's mother was a sissy little wobbuffet, and then all of a sudden a houndour pops up and beats them all down. He got hurt pretty bad during the fight so I wanted to make it up to him." Rika saw Sky glare at Inferno and knew she had to playcate the jealous absol, "Don't worry nothing happened. We were just on friendly relations. Besides it was two years ago. The most that happened was a small peck on the cheek right after he saved me."
Sky glared even more at Inferno, "FUNNY YOU NEVER METIONED THE PECK ON THE CHEEK OR THAT SHE TAGGED ALONG WITH YOU FOR A BIT AFTER YOU SAVED HER!!!!!!"
Inferno turned his head, "It didn't seem important to mention I mean it was before I said how I felt you know."
Rika knew she messed up and tried to calm Sky down, "He's right it isn't important. I never would have felt the way you do for him." Rika wanted to hide behind something.
Sky justed huffed, "Whatever I don't care."
Inferno was tempted to say "could've fooled me" but wanted to keep his head where it was. Desperate to change the direction of their conversation Inferno asked why Rika was here.
"I going to the Love Blossom festival at Mount Kyoko."
Sky turned back with a puzzled look, "Love Blossom festival?"
This what the first thing Inferno was glad to hear, "It's a festival where a lot of pokemon go to find a mate. Sort of like what my kind does only a lot more different species. It's also a thing lovers go to because it supposed to ensure that the two will be happy together. I didn't know it was comeing close to it's annual happening."
"Well it is. I was going their when the rain hit. You know if you want to go you gotta go now. It starts in a month."
Sky looked at Inferno, "A lovers destination huh?" He nodded, "well then lets go. I'm sure it'll be fun."
Rika got another smile, "Great you two can tag along with me. I would love the company." Sky looked unsure, "Don't worry I wont make any moves on Inferno. Honestly you scare me. I don't want to deal with your wrath."
Sky went crimson, "Well uhhh Inferno what do you want to do?"
Inferno was afraid that Sky would freak out again, so was caught off guard when she didn't scream, "well I think it would be a smart move. I mean Rika could use a little extra intimidation if she get's into any trouble. And she did that a lot the little loud mouth."
"HEY! I just said what needed to be said at any time. It's not my fault some guys cant take the truth of how big a jerk or wuss they are." Rika said defensively.
Inferno turned to her, "And that's what got you into trouble with the growlithes. You need to learn to keep your mouth shut. How many times did you piss off the wrong group and got into a fight?"
Rika stared at him, "Don't blame me if a guys a complete and total asshole."
"That's what gets you into those messes." Inferno was losing his temper.
Sky went from the one who was utterly pissed to the voice of reason so fast it made her head spin, "Will you both calm down." Rika gave a huff. Inferno snorted. "Well prior to his comment about you trouble finding skills he agreed to let you tag along. Looks like we're going to that Mount Kyoko for this festival."
Rika seemed to get back her happy mood, "GREAT! I just know this is gonna be fun. You know I hear a lot of good male go their looking for someone. I've gotta find me someone their."
Inferno let out a yawn, "well then its settled. Now if you two don't mind I want some sleep." He layed his head down and started to drift off.
Rika yawned too, "He's right. It has to be late. Good Night." She curled up and drifted off as well. Sky walk over and layed next to Inferno. She gave him a quick lick on the cheek and layed her head down, "I'm being paranoid. I should trust him more. I was being completly unreasonable." She thought.
As if sencing what she was thinking Inferno popped open an eye, "Ohh and sorry for not telling you about the peck on the cheek. I didn't think it was all that important, but you did deserve to know." She gave him another lick and they both started to sleep.
When dawn broke Sky got up to find Inferno sleeping soundly and Rika sitting outside. Sky still felt a bit guilty about how she had acted and sat next to her. "Morning Rika."
Rika turned and gave Sky a smile, "Morning to you." They waited in silence for a few moments then Rika finally broke it, "I'm sorry about last night. I didn't think you would get jealous. But nothing happened between me an Inferno. And trust me there were quite a few moments when something could have happened. Niether of us took them though. We're just friends. Honest."
Sky went a little red so small it didn't show on her dard face, "No I'm sorry. I was overreacting. I'd just found him and all so I was a little worried when someone else he knew popped up. I was being a child." Sky returned Rika's ever present smile with her own.
Rika just shook her head, "Any one with a loved one would act that way. He did save me and all so we had a connection but it's nothing like or as strong as the one he has with you. Curious how did you two admit you loved one another I just got to hear the story."
Sky told Rika of their night in the cave after Inferno was injured. She skipped over what happened between then and their brief split, not wanting to tell how they had done it nearly every time since then. She explained how she wanted Inferno to go off and be with his kind and then how he ran through the brush to stay with her.
"Thats so romantic. And it doesn't sound like a thing he would do." Rika giggled, "I tell ya you are a lucky girl a lot of the females around his den wanted him. He turned them all down and never seemed to be a loving type."
"Damn right she's lucky I saved her ass twice." Inferno had woken up and joined the conversation. "If it wasn't for me god only knows what shape she be in." He walked up and nuzzled her.
Rika gave him a big toothy smile, "Bout time you woke up. You certainly like to just sleep in don't ya."
Inferno smiled back, "That's only because I didn't have my normal wake up call did I Sky." Sky stomped on his foot as her face lite up. Inferno yelped.
Rika laughed, "Ohh I'm sorry I didn't know I interuppted your alarm clock. Speaking of which I didn't happen to walk in on anything last night did I?"
"Nope no interferance had you been a few sec.....OUCH!!!" Sky stomped on his foot harder this time.
Rika was on her side laughing, "Sky you don't have to be so shy." Rika was laughing so hard she had trouble getting the words out, "I know perfectly well what mates do when they're alone."
Sky just sat there frozen like a statue for several moments, "ANYWAY Inferno which way do we go to this festival?"
Inferno had been shaking his paw, "Just down this road. I went there when the festival wasn't going one so I know the way. I memorize every twist and turn I take. I'd say that if we make good time well get their in two weeks."
Rika jumped up, "alright then lets go." She set out ahead her tail going every which way as she ran. Sky and Inferno set off after her trying not to get left behind. Rika eventually slowed down to an upright walk so Sky and Inferno could stay close and catch their breath. As they walked down the path Rika told Inferno about all that had went down when he left their little area. "Ohh yeah I nearly forgot you sister found a mate." Rika turned and said it with her same smile.
"Really who did she go with? I know a few of the local males liked her."
"It was an arcanine. One of the ones you beat down as a growlithe no less."
"Say what?" Inferno nealy tripped.
"Yeah one of the growlithes you beat up was going your way. He said he was sorry for all the trouble he caused." Inferno rolled his eyes, "He must have met you sister on the way over their though. I found out they were together when I saw him comforting you sister. You know she was sad to see you go."
"Not surprised I was like a god to her. She always loved watching me stand up to bullies."
"Yeah well she seemed to enjoy his attention. I left so as not to interupt. A few weeks later I found out that they both evolved and had gone off together."
Inferno smiled, "Good to know she found someone. I was afraid she was to shy."
"Even shy people can say how they feel if they love someone enough." Sky piped in.
"I bet the growlithe told her his feelings first. She never would get the courage if he hadn't gone first." Inferno said in a matter of fact way.
"Does it really matter how? I swear you two should just care that it happened." Rika told them with a sigh. She contiued on in front of them until something came out of nowhere and ran into her knocking her back on her rear. She shook her head and focused on what hit her. Sky and Inferno were already in front of her though. Inferno was growling and Sky was staring at the new arrival with a deadly gaze. They didn't like this new face at all. Rika tried to get a view of the pokemon. She couldn't get a clear view through the two and she wasn't going to try to get past them. They looked ready to attack.

Who could this new arrival be? What is it about him that has put Inferno and Sky on edge? And what.....*scatching sound at the door*......what the hell is that. *Approaches door to have it fling open in his face. Then Inferno, Sky, Rika, and a few others walk in.*
