Travelers Grand Finale! (Ch.21)
Travelers Final Chapter
Pokemon was devised by nintendo.
*Mecha is standing in the room, depressed*
*sigh* Well this is it. The final chapter. It has to end but still I love these guys. Ohh god I was crazy to think I could replace them. Puppets: flopped, robots: tried to kill me, summoning demon: I got ripped off. I suppose the only thing left to do now is let the story end. You know I really feel bad for Sky. Well this is where it ends. And....you know what fuck it! I don't intend to let this chapter end with me all alone. WAIT FOR ME GUYS I'M ON MY WAY!!!!
*shoots out door, hear a engine trying to start, still trying, still trying*
Ahh to hell with it I'm flying.
*reenters, pushes button, big cannon lifts up into room, inputs coordinates, gets in, a big boom*
Mecha ain't gonna be lonely no mo'
*blasts off laughing insanely*
The fireball raged on, seeming to go on forever, trying to make sure nothing survived. Rika, Tia, Blaze, and Bane all looked helplessly as the burning flames lingered for a while before finally disappating. Sky just stared at the large crater that marked where her whole world was destroyed. Rika looked at the smoldering hole, she started toward it, "We need to get down there. He might still be....."
Sky cut her off, "You know he couldn't. He knew he couldn't either. That's why he wanted us to leave. Damn him." She turned her back on the wreckedge and started walking toward the top of the trail.
Bane turned, "Sky are you....."
Sky didn't look back, "We should keep moving. He wanted to come to this damn place so bad. Let's just go and see this stupid shower than get on with our lives."
Bane wasn't willing to press the subject, none of them were. They followed when something came from out of the sky and landed in front of them. When they got a better look they saw it was a battered Death. His wings were torn and broken, his body was bruised all over, and it also looked different.
Death shook his head, his view immediatly centered on the group. He got up and smiled, "Well look who we have here. I see you were able to escape, too bad Inferno couldn't." Sky scowled, the others did as well. Death kept smiling, "You may have escaped the explosion but you won't esca...." He tried to step forward but all of a sudden he fell. He forced himself up to see what was wrong and then saw the his front left paw had broken off.
Blaze chuckled, "It looks like his little resurrection came at a price. His body couldn't take the energy of the explosion. His cells are breaking down."
Death wiped up a tentacle and tried to launch it at Blaze, but it wouldn't go. Death looked and gasped as he saw it melting. His entire body was either melting or crumbling away. Death tried to move, but to no avail his body was falling apart. Death looked in horror as his legs began to chip and drip away. One of his tentacles fell in a heap of dust, the other was dripping away. "No! Damn it!" He turned his head toward Bane, causing a few drops of his already melting face to fly off, "Don't think this is the end brother! I will make you pay! I'll see you in hell! And when I do I will make you wish you had never been born! Ohh and while I'm there do any of you have a.......message for that pathetic, foolish, and weak little...." Those were the last words Death spoke. A shadow ball went straight into his head, splatering it along with the rest of his body. Bane stood there gazing at the messy remains of his brother. "Die. And stay dead this time!"
Sky let Bane have his moment for a bit before she took off again. The others quickly followed, all of them unsure what they could do for her. She didn't look back to see if they were following or keeping up, she just kept going. Sky was struggling not to let her emotions reveal themselves, and it was hard, she wanted to damn Inferno, damn herself, damn Biogen, damn everyone. She hated what he did, did he even think about how she'd go on without him? Of course not, why else would he have done what he did, the stupid bastard. All he cared about was himself, why else would he let her live without him.
Sky was fighting back tears as they continued to ascend the mountain. For the first time since they seperated all that time ago she wished she had never met Inferno, that she had never gone through that forest, never met those mightyena, and never had been saved by him. Sky damned him for his stupidity, why did he do it? They could have won that fight. But if Sarak could escape then they would still have problems. Inferno wanted to make sure Sarak could never harm anyone again.
When they reached the top, which was a rather flat area covered with a light bit of grass as well as some trees, Sky didn't notice. She just stopped when she heard that they made it. Blaze and Tia went of toward one spot of the area, while Bane and Rika did the same. Sky layed down next to one of the trees. She sighed, "Damn that bastard," She said to herself, barely able to keep her tears in, "why did he do it? Why did that bastard leave me?"
Sky just layed there as night arrived, despite the reason they all came here to see none of them looked up to the night sky. None of them cared about the shower anymore. Rika was lightly crying, Bane was trying his damnest to comfort her. Blaze and Tia just layed where they were thinking about how much they owed Inferno for everything he'd done. Sky gave each group a passing glace, and then she damned them. She gave everything in the world a damning for some part it played in her lovers death.
Sky covered her face, what the hell was she going to do now? She didn't want to stay with these guys, always reminded of what she lost. She didn't know what the hell she could do. Sky supposed she could look for a trainer, but she threw the idea out instantly. Every one she seemed to hold dear suffered. Her old trainer died trying to save her, Inferno was injured doing the same, and now he got killed. Everyone around her suffered through one way or another. She was the cause for everyones suffering, from people she just met to those she counted as friends, she would always be the thing that brought them pain.
Sky heared someone lay down next to her, she just ignored the arrival. She wanted to turn and snap at whoever actually thought they could help her, but she kept her temper in check. Then the figure coughed, Sky nearly lost it there, but she didn't turn on the fool, "Leave me the hell alone you worthless shit." She said it in a low and menacing voice.
"Hey what the hell did I do?" Her eyes shot open, "Besides saving your ass more times then I can count."
She turned and saw a battered, bruised, cut up, houndoom. His left horn was chipped at the end, his rear leg was swollen, tufts of his fur were burnt, and he had a scar over his right eye, which was a black color, while his other was a pure red. Sky stared at him, "I....In.....Inferno?"
He gave her a puzzled look, "What? You were expecting someone else? Are you seeing someone behind my back?" He then smiled, that same damn smile she remembered.
All of Sky's restraint was lost, she burst into tears and jumped on him, causing him to yelp, but she didn't care. She nuzzled his face while tears rolled down hers, "Inferno! Your alive! I thought....I thought...."
Inferno kissed her, "You thiink to much."
She just kept crying and rubbing her head against his, licking his face every now and then, "Damn it all! You had me so worried! Don't ever do that to me again!"
The other heard the commotion and looked at the scean stunned. They watched as Sky was rubbing all over their friend, who they all thought was dead. They rushed over to the two.
"Sky, alright, enough." He gave up when she still didn't stop, "You know, I'm insulted. You all thought a giant ball of flaming death and destruction could actually kill me? Man some loyal and inspiring lot you all turned out to be."
Sky kept licking and nuzzling him, she didn't care about anything other than that she had her Inferno back, "How did you...."
Inferno tried to push her off, but failed so resigned himself to just laying there, "I am a fire type. A big ball of fire won't do me in anytime soon. As for the walk here well that was a bit of a hell. Sheesh some friends, and some mate. Have so little faith me you don't bother trying to see if I made it."
Sky managed to stop crying, "I'm sorry Inferno. It's just that I...well think to much." She kissed him, then quickly got back to her previous work.
Bane sighed, "Well I suppose this is good news. I can honestly say, these little trips are a lot more interesting with you around."
Rika was beaming a large smile at him, "You had poor Sky here so disheartened. Your a real heel you know that? Making her worry so."
Blaze chuckled, "You know she's scary when your not around."
Tia was smiling just as much as Rika, "It's good to have you back from the land of the dead."
Inferno chuckled, "Ohh uh by the way I don't suppose you know what happened to Death. I saw Sarak, in dozen or so places, but I couldn't find his body."
Bane smiled, "I personally made sure he's not coming back. You did see that large blobby mass right."
Inferno smiled, "So that was Death. Well good to know that those two are finally gone, now we can.......looks likes the showers starting."
The others all looked up and watched as the falling stars hurdled across the sky in a trail of light. Sky sighed as she looked up, she didn't want to take her eyes off of her love, but he wanted her to see this so bad. Her mouth made an o of astonishment, Inferno was right it was a beautiful sight. Inferno looked at her and gave her a lick, "See? Isn't it the most beautiful thing you've ever seen?"
She looked up at it again then looked back at him, she shook her head, "No." he was startled, "You being here, alive and with me again," She rested her head on his chest, "that is the most beautiful thing I have or will ever see."
Inferno kissed her once more, "And seeing you happy is the only thing I could ever need to see." They nuzzled once more.
As the group watched the shower a small rumble, with a loud scream could be heard. In one massive crash the ground not far from them was hit by something sending dirt flying at them. They move in to examine it and see the hind quarters of a mightyena. The left leg appeares to be robotic. Bane's mouth goes wide, "No way."
Mecha pops out of the dirt, shakes it off, then smiles at the group, "Well long time no see guys."
Inferno's jaw is also in a hanging position, "What the hell are you doing here?"
Mecha absently scratches neck, "Well umm I was kinda, maybe a little...."
Rika giggled, "Awww he missed us. The little doggie missed us."
Mecha sighed, "Missed would be the understatement of the century."
Sky chuckled, "So you wanted us to do some little commentary."
Mecha nodded, "Yep since this is the last chapter and all that."
They were all stunned, except Blaze and Tia who were completly lost, Inferno recovered first, "This is the end?"
Mecha nodded, "At least for this little bit. I just might right some more about you all and your adventures in a new series and all that. After a brief break so I can let the ideas build. But as for travelers, well this story ends now.
Rika: I can't believe this went on for 21 chapters.
Bane: Me either.
Of course it did your all gold.*scowls while trying to say* Even....you....R....Ri......Rika.
Rika: *pats Mecha on head* aww the mutt missed me.
Don't press your luck!
Rika: *smacks Mecha* Mind your tongue!
FUCK YOU! *shoulder cannnon emerges and fires* ohh god how I missed this.
Inferno: I hope you missed the next part.
Huh? *gets shocked by a thunder bolt* Why you little! *charges Rika*
Blaze: So we were being written about?
Sky: Yep.
Tia: How much did he write?
Inferno: Trust me, you don't want to know. In fact I wanted to stay a bit longer to hear what you two were doing while we were in that cave.
Tia: *goes red* HE DIDN'T!
Blaze: Ummm.....He did. *points to portable monitor*
Tia: Rika save some for me! *jumps into the fray*
Inferno: I think you idiots should take a break so we can say farewell.
He's right!
Inferno, Sky, Rika, Bane, Blaze, Tia, Mecha: So long readers!
At least until inspiration strikes me again.
Tia: It's gonna have ta wait in line!
Rika: Yeah!Chapter End Notes:And that's Travelers. I'll be posting the next story "Sorrow" after I get some reviews for this. Till then, you'll have to wait
