Sorrow Ch.5
Carnage pased around the outside of the building that his two allies entered. He didn't want to be anywhere near this dead, dead structure, let alone enter it. He was begining to question the wiseness of siding with those two. They were obsessed with getting revenge on that one fool, but he had no idea why they held that grudge. To add to his over flowing questions he didn't know what the grand plan was, they had taken something from the abandoned Biogen base, but they refused to say what. He surveyed his surrondings again, the decay that affected the whole area around the mountain was at its worst near this damnable hell home. Everywhere around him their was nothing but grey, dead earth, no trees, no grass, no bushes, no life short of the three who now stayed here. The stench of the decay was getting to be to much, even for a hellspawn like Carnage, he wondered how in all the name of all that is could those two stand it up here. The door opened and the pokemon stepped out, with a big grin on his face, "The preperations are going well. Soon we should have what we need to get our vengence."
Carnage didn't say anything, he just stood their, "Good. I don't like this place one bit."
"Whats the matter? I thought you were both lovers of death and decay." The pokemon laughed menacingly.
"This entire place just feels wrong. I don't like waiting for you two to finish what ever it is your planning. By the way what are you planning anyway?" Carnage still refused to look at the pokemon.
"You'll find out when we put it into motion. That," he interuppted Carnage's retort before it got voice, "is on a need to know basis and you don't need to know." Carnage scowled but didn't say anything more.
Meanwhile the human worked down in his laboratory, with an evil grin across his face. He began humming a tune that he made up, a song that was nothing but his desire for vengence put into a tune. "Soon little one. Soon. I will tear apart your little heart, then I will feed it to my friend. You will pay for what you did to us, I gaurentee it." He continued humming while he worked.

Inferno woke up with the first rays of light, groggily opening his eyes and staring out across the forest to Vixthra Caverns. The caves looked menacing at anytime of day, like a giant maw waiting for prey to stray to close so it could swallow them whole. Inferno shuddered, this was a place he was told to avoid at all costs, and he did, even he could feel the evil emminating from the place. He didn't put much stock in the old legends, but this was a place that screamed malicious intent. Infenro streached out and waited for his companions to wake.
Bane was the next one up, and after a quick streach he joined Inferno, "So this is supposed to be a big, bad, place. I believe it. Something about this area seems off to me."
Inferno nodded, "I really don't want to spend any more time then we have to in this accursed place. We'll go in, tear apart the bandits, grab the Star, then get back home." Bane yawned.
"I just hope it'll be that easy." Bane jumped, Inferno stayed perfectly still, not surprised by Blaze's contribution to the conversation, "Most of the time things never turn out that easy though. It seems that adversity has a little crush on us."
Inferno shrugged, "I suppose your right. I mean a lot of shit tends to happen between point A and point B of any plan I make."
Bane yawned again, "Maybe it's you that misfortune seems to favor and we just get caught up in the ride."
"Lay off him. Inferno can't help it if he's a trouble magnet. Besides that makes him a dangerous guy, and that's very attractive." Sky walked up beside the three guys, making a small yawn. "So when do we go in and cause a ruckus?"
Inferno looked back and the still sleeping Rika and Tia. "As soon as those two get the wake up call from their guys."
Bane groaned, "Why is it we have to do the dirty work?"
Infenro smiled, "Because they're your mates."
Blaze sprinted down to Tia and began nodging her, "Wake up. We got work to do." Tia's eyes flickered open then closed again, "Come on Tia we've got bandits to break." Tia groggily opened her eyes and moaned. She slowly got up, saying something under her breath, that went along the lines of 'this is bull shit'.
Bane chuckled, "You know that's no way to wake up someone. Allow me to demonstrate how to properly wake up a mate." Bane looked down and found a large rock. He took aim and knocked toward Rika.
She gave a loud shout as she bolted up, "Who the hell did that?"
Bane looked at Inferno, with a stunned look, "You know you shouldn't have done that."
Inferno glared at Bane, "You son of a....." The rest of his sentence was cut off by a thunderbolt. He yelped then glared at Bane again.
Bane just grinned, "I told you I'd get you back."
Inferno tried to repress a smile, and failed, "You grudge holding bastard. Props for pinning the blame on me."
Rika glared at Bane, "What?"
Bane's ears dropped, "You mother..." His sentence was cut off by another thunderbolt.
Rika huffed, "Next time I'll nail both of ya right in the ass, regardless of who's to blame." She rubbed the spot where she was hit, "So are we going to take care of those bandits."
Inferno nodded then headed off toward the caverns, the others followed close behind. As they worked their way to the cavern entrance Bane thought he smelled something familiar, but he wasn't exactly sure what. Then as they neared the entrance something moved in the bushes. The group turned toward the sound and saw a vaporeon come out from the brush, "Uh excuse me."
They looked over the vaporeon, Inferno stepped forward, "Yes?" he had a slight susicious look in his eyes.
"Are you going to that cave over there, you know, with the bandits?"
"What if we are?" Blaze said with out any attempt at hiding his suspiciouns.
The vaporeon's eyes lite up, "Then can you help me out? You see my uhh mate was captured by those guys and taken here. I'd go in and save her myself, but there's so many of them that I..."
Bane took in the vaporeons scent a bit more before nodding, "Now I remember."
They all looked at him, Rika nudged him, "Remember what?"
"A bit back I came across an eevee with her scent. She was with another eevee and uhhh....." he looked at them, the vaporeon's face had gotten red, "I can't remember much after that because that's when that delcatty uhhh met me."
The vaporeon managed to hide the blush, "That's the friend I need saved. She's an espeon now, here names Sassy. Please help us."
Inferno shrugged, "We have to go through them so we might as well save the espeon while we do it. So what's your name?"
The vaporeon smiled, "It's Dew."
Sky nodded, "Nice to meet you. He's Inferno, that's Rika, the other dog's Bane, and these are Tia and Blaze. My names Sky."
Dew let out a sigh of relief, "Thank you so much."
Rika gave Bane a sly smile, "So what exactly did you see?"
Bane went a little red, "Nothing, nothing. I saw nothing."
Rika giggled, "Of course." The group slowly creeped their way toward the entrance looking for any guards or sentries but none were present. This little fact was more than a bit unnerving for Inferno, "I don't get it. This is their base so why no gaurds or sentries?"
Blaze scanned about the area, "I don't know, but it isn't normal."
Before another comment could be made Sky screamed, "I think I know why the gaurds ain't here." She pointed toward five lumbering figures. At first the others weren't cetain what they were until they came closer and were revealed to be skeletons of pokemon. One of them jumbled forward, "Your bones. The master will have your bones. You will give them to us." It's voice was scratchy and gurgled. They skeletons charged the party.
Inferno sighed, "Just a collection of bones? That aint to tough to take down." He launched a shadow ball into one of the skeletons, shattering it. But the head kept flopping around and the other bones began to tremble. In a whirlwind of movement the scattered bones reformed into the shape it had just lost, "Okay then that could be a problem." Inferno leaped out of the way of one of the attackers, "I guess we need to smash the skulls." So saying he used an iron tail upon one of the walking bone piles skulls, shattering it and the rest of the body. This time the bones stayed still and began to crumble. Sky lauched a razor wind, splitting another skull, while Tia used a hyper beam on another. Bane blasted one skull with a shadow ball. Blaze tried to blast the last one with a hyper beam, but it dodged and went for him, just to meet a water gun sending it's skull off. Dew ran up to the head and brought her head down on it, shattering it into pieces. The gang looked around the cave, Inferno seemed to be irritated, "I have a very bad feeling about this. Of course the old legend is true. Now we'll have to deal with Vixthra. I just want to know where the star and the espeon are first."
As if in answer to his desire a scream reverberated throughout the cave, it came from a female, "Sassy!?" Dew looked around, "That was her voice. Oh god I hope she's okay."
Inferno took a quick look around with a quick sniff, "She's screaming so she's alive. And if I'm not mistaken she's this way." Inferno rushed down a corridor with Dew hot on his heels and everyone else behind her. The path they took was straight forward, probably because the bandits weren't too smart Inferno thought, and very brightly lite. They went deeper and deeper into the cave, hearing a scream from Sassy every now and again. As the screaming grew louder a faint stomping sound could also be heard, along with shouting. Then they emerged into a large, and dimly lite part of the caverns and were greeted by the sight of a tropius along with a warturtle, a bayleef, and an espeon fighting a very large skeleton in the form of a charizard along with dozens of bodies and bones on the ground. The giant skeleton turned toward the new arrivals, despite the fact that they had made no sound on their arrival, and seemed to sneer, "Who else would dare to enter the realm of the dread Vixthra?" It's voice was booming, cold, and seemed to weigh down the very air.
