Ch. 1 - The begining of the journey begins with a single trip
*yawn*
I woke up to a strange feeling on my back which was strange since I was sure I fell asleep on my bed after playing Pokemon Pearl.
It wasn't an uncomfortable feeling; it was prickly yet soft at the same time and it moved with the blowing wind.
...wind?
I sprang up and surveyed my surroundings and my first thought was ...WTF?
I was sitting in the middle of a grassy field, the vastness of it told me I was nowhere near my home sweet home. But what wierded me out the most was that everything looked.....familiar. The tall grass, the dirt path, the trees, the Starly.
...Starly?!?
Now I'm a smart guy, but my brain crashed at this realization - I had somehow ended up in the Pokemon world, not the game but the real deal, and in Sinnoh no less.
But then another realization came to light: I was in the middle of a field wearing nothing but a large t-shirt, socks and underwear! (this happens to be what I usually sleep in).
I looked around some more, ignoring the birds and Bidoof, and noticed a tall building with a HUGE TV screen on it
-Must be Jubilife City,- I thought, thanking myself on my memory of the game. -If I can get to the pokemon center there maybe the Nurse Joy there can help me.-
And so I walked and let me tell ya, walking outside without shoes is killer on your feet!
Fortunately my t-shirt was really big, almost reaching my knees, so I didn't get too many strange looks.
When I made it to teh pokemon center I was in luck; aside from the nurse and some pokemon it was empty.
"Hey, uhh, can you help me?" I asked.
"Of course, and what do you need help with?" she replied with a kind tone.
"Yeah, I'm kinda in some really big trouble here. One minute I'm sleeping in my comfortable and when I woke up I'm in a field just north of here!"
"Oh dear! Do you have any contact information? I'll see if I can get you back home."
"I kinda doubt that since my home's really far away." Like in a whole different dimension! "So I'm kinda stuck. Is there any other way you can help me?"
"Hmm, are you a trainer?"
"No..." Then an idea hit me. "But I've been considering becoming one for a couple of years now. Especially since I know a lot about pokemon." From guides and web pages.
"Well then, how about we get you registered." She turned then stopped. "Oh dear! I forgot! The system's down today so I can't get you registered!"
-that explains the lack of trainers I guess-
"You'll just have to go see Professor Rowan directly in Sandgem Town."
"That's just south of here, right?"
"Right."
"Alrighty then. Just one more thing."
"Yes?"
"Do you have any clothes I could wear?"

-Alright, I'm ready to go.- I thought as I exited the pokemon center, wearing some pants and shoes Nurse Joy had in the lost and found. -And it was nice of her to lend me the pokemon center's map-
As I exited the city I opened the map. It was a hell lot more detailed than that crummy one in the game. It gave me a detailed description of Route 202.
-This is so exciting! I'm on top of the world, the pokemon world that is! Nothing can stop meEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!- I thought as I almost fell face first into the ground but twisted my body at the last second.
"What the heck was that?!?" I thought out loud looking for what I tripped over.
"Huh? A pokemon egg?"Chapter End Notes:Hoped ya liked it. Oh and by the way, I'll be going through the entire game (and maybe a few others, or at least references)
