Pipe Dreams by flarex

Inebriation

Gabriel spent his days idly, enjoying the last fragments of warmth that summer had brought long ago. There was nothing left but him and the world. Never in his life had the Absol been so alone, and yet it was not as painful as he had thought it to be. Soon, the first snows of winter would set in, and everything would stop for the time being. The stream would ice over, frozen in its picturesque motion; the small creatures would disappear to wherever they holed up in cold times. And Gabriel, he would find warmth from within.

Yet as the seasons passed, fate planned with caution. The dreams came less often, if fact, they no longer seemed to hold power over him. Gabriel was able to sleep through the night now, and this morning was no exception. Food came more scarcely for him, but unfortunately, the visitors did not. Even in the morning haze, Gabriel picked up a scent, floating faintly on the chilling winds. It was faint, but definitely fresh. He followed the smell around his territory, trapping it up against a tree. Immediately, Gabriel noticed a hole, concealed at the base of an ancient oak tree, and a soft breathing coming from inside.

She was asleep. It was a surprisingly capacious area, perhaps too large for a single inhabitant. It had to have been made before he came here, or he would have definitely noticed a Flareon digging up his territory right under his nose. Had she sneaked in here, found the hole by a stroke of luck, and attempted to stay for the winter, thinking he wouldn't find her? He intended to know.

It wasn't long before she was awake. Instantly, she saw him from across the room, and began to back up, her eyes darting from the Absol to the single opening beside him. Gabriel would obviously have to begin talking.

"Sorry if I scared you. I just wanted to know why there's a huge hole in my territory, with you inside of it." He waited. There was no reply, just the eyes, flickering from the hole to his face, again and again. "I won't hurt you. I..." she was shaking a bit too. Maybe Gabriel should have waited outside until she woke up. Now he looked like a creep. "Do you at least have a name?" After waiting a few more moments, the Absol muttered an apology and started to back out through the short tunnel, convinced that she wasn't really in the mood to talk.

"Serafina." He turned halfway around, but then decided it was best to leave her alone for now.

"Gabriel. Nice to meet you, and sorry again for scaring you." Satisfied with at least a name, he turned again, and left Serafina to her thoughts.

The following days were awkward at best. Serafina would be out most of the day finding food as Gabriel would, wordlessly passing by, glancing at him for only a moment before walking off as if she had somewhere to go. Gabriel would notice that each night, he would sleep a little bit closer to the gnarled, faded tree that established itself as a home for the Flareon. She was younger than he was; he could see that in her eyes. Maybe a year?

Gabriel began to find himself inexplicably drawn to the comfort of another. It was different than it was in the clan. Those who professed to be his friends would always watch their tongues closely, clambering over each other to gain his favor, all the while fearful of provoking his anger. Now though, things would be different. The week after Serafina's arrival, Gabriel was practically sleeping on top of the oak tree, satisfied with the fact that she was there as well, only a few feet below. The wind was a biting one, but despite the conditions and the small flurries that would be sure to sharpen the night, Gabriel was beginning to drift away into bliss when the Flareon shyly poked first her head, and then her front legs out of the opening to her home.

"It's cold out here. There's space inside, if you wanted to come in." She disappeared from sight. Her first real words to him had been an invitation. The Absol was lifted, finally able to find somebody who cared for his life. Gabriel had never known a mother, or a father. But to watch the others grow, knowing he was different was never an easy feeling to overcome. Suddenly, he was numb to the wind, could not care less if the cold was to freeze him over completely.

The Absol looked to the stars, as he had always done for comfort. People came, left, died, betrayed. But the stars were always there, and no matter how the world would change, they could not be conquered. The sky was afire with the shimmering beings, nobody could alter or control such untamed beauty, not even some one like Gabriel. He took the tunnel down for a second time, leaving the winter night behind, where the stars would be waiting when he returned.

"This was my home, before you came." said the Flareon, not bothering to face him. Serafina took a corner of the room, and began to talk to the wall. "I used to live here with my mother and father, and sisters." She shifted uneasily.

"But not any more," Gabriel finished for her. "I'm sorry for taking your home; I needed some place to stay for at least the winter. I should leave..."

"You would die. I would feel guilty knowing you were out there. You can stay. At least until things get warmer." Gabriel nodded, as if she could see the gesture. He took a corner on the opposite side of the bare floor, and was soon fast asleep.

The next day, Serafina seemed to open up a little more, or maybe it was his imagination. She seemed less tense, and their words to each other were not as terse as they had been. Days passed, and then weeks. Spring was soon to be upon them, but Gabriel was mesmerized. He would watch the Flareon dance, when they were out finding food, or just lounging near each other. She would smile, even laugh. It might have seemed startlingly flagrant from anybody watching from the stars, but the two of them were oblivious to the changes they shared inside; slowly but surely, Gabriel and Serafina were falling in love.

The ice on the stream thinned and broke off into dirty, opaque chunks to be carried away by the tide. The trees thawed and moisture returned to their brittle bark. It was a magical time for the two creatures. They would find things to say, anything really, just for the satisfaction of hearing the other's voice. On more than one occasion, the topic of the past came up, only to be swallowed by the ensuing silence. Then one of them would break the quiet by saying entirely different, and conversation would resume.

Gabriel felt like a child for the first time, and he realized what it meant to run and hide, and playfully swat at another. It all just felt so... normal. Finally, life was returning on the inside and out, and he had little trouble evoking the emotions that had sat neglected for so long. The Flareon was much happier; Gabriel could tell by the way she would nip his shoulders, and perk her long slender ears when he neared.

It was raining that night. The stars were aglow and the falling water seemed to distort the light of the moon. It was only a drizzle at first, but it steadily increased as the evening progressed. Two creatures were pressed side by side, apparently ignorant of the relentless water. It was warmer now, and night wasn't quite so bad anymore. The two were chattering as usual, neither one of them really paying much attention to the content of the actual conversation.

Serafina rested her head on the Absol's shoulder, and in return, he gnawed on hers. Tentatively, Gabriel's inched toward her neck, too skittish to make a sudden move. The Flareon turned her neck away, and stared him down with her deep unwavering eyes. Before he was able to react or blurt out an apology, she pressed her face into his, sending a shock down his spine, momentarily stunning him. Gabriel gained control of his body again, and met her kiss with his own, sending them both to a world where thoughts and surroundings were meaningless. There was only the feeling left now, and it would lead them into the unknown.

Gabriel ran his tongue over the ridges and contours of his partner's teeth, meeting her tongue and holding it in a loving embrace. Slowly, as they drew apart, he became aware that his eyes were closed, and his breath. The Absol plunged in for another kiss. The faint scents of love were drifting into the air, and the two were only slightly aware of it. Serafina pulled out first, leaving a thin line of saliva as the only trace of what had been so real only moments ago.

She smiled. "Ready?"

"Ready" came the firm reply.

It seemed as if the smells were overpowering more than just one of his senses, as Gabriel's breath deepened, trying to catch all of the scents that were passing his nose by. The rain began to thicken as if either one of them cared, when Serafina turned her back to the Absol, flicking her tail gently from side to side, exposing the source of those sweet smells. The Absol wasted no time, and in one swift motion, he mounted her, and began to readjust his weight to make sure not to hurt her. Gabriel's cock was quickly swelling, dripping some diluted form of water and precum.

In a single smooth thrust, he was inside of her, releasing his breath, and receiving a low moan in return. Her cunt was well lubricated, but maybe that was just the rain. Slowly, drops of water fell from Gabriel's chin to disappear on the furry neck of his lover. His member was even larger now, approaching its full size. The familiar feeling was distorted by circumstance; everything felt the same, and yet everything would be different. The Flareon bucked a little out of impatience, but Gabriel would not refuse to satisfy. He thrust slowly at first, his growing knot tightening against the lips of her cunt, and then faster, pivoting on the momentum, pleasure building up inside of him.

The rain was sharp and relentless on the two, lost in a flurry of passion and feeling. Serafina gasped and moaned to the sensation that ran in circles around her body, with no way to be released. It was building up in both of them, as Gabriel lost himself, thrusting wildly, aided by the Flareon, secretly craving for a deeper penetration. She grinded her hips back, perfectly synchronized to his every movement.

Gabriel held on to only a shred of consciousness, making sure not to force his knot into the tight cunt below him, afraid to hurt the relationship that they had struggled so greatly to obtain. Nothing could deny the lovers one final ecstasy of the night. The Absol's breathing became ragged and uneven, the Flareon's deep and lustful. The rain screamed and pelted anything that interrupted its trajectory towards the earth. Serafina's cunt began to spasm and contract around the hot pink rod that filled it, sending shocks and waves throughout her body. That was all Gabriel could last out for. He released his load, shooting countless ropes of seed far into the depths of a lover. He craned his neck over to press his cheek against hers, and together, they climaxed, against the roar of the water, and the emptiness of the night.

The two collapsed as one, Gabriel's cock sliding out of Serafina with a soft squelch, still dizzily lost in the intensity of their encounter. Gabriel had experienced sex many times before, but never with love, never with passion. Nothing he had ever done could compare to that final moment together, when he leaned over and confessed his love into her ear. The rain slowly dwindled now, dying down to a shower, and then it was gone. He licked at her face, feeling her soft fur drenched with water. The Flareon gladly returned his gesture and his words. As he had done only moments ago, she leaned towards his ear, and met his love with her acceptance to spend her days with him.

Serafina gently drifted off into dreams of summer afternoons and winter mornings, but Gabriel would not sleep so easily. As the tip of his penis slipped safely back into his sheath, the rush of feelings could not be denied, as hard as Gabriel tried to block them out. The Absol stole another glance to ensure that his angel was surely still reality, but found something else entirely. Under the pale light was a silver mark, so faint under the Flareon's matted fur that it could only be seen from certain angles under the eerie reflection of the moon. A thin scar shone in the darkness, running down the length of his companion's stomach, from her right foreleg, to her left hind.
