~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~`
Only a few hours later, the sun came up. Dustin hadn't gotten the sleep he desperately needed, so he decided that he was gonna stay home for a while, but felt he still needed to go and pick up his Pokedex, and his beginning Pokemon.
Dustin clambored out of bed and hurriedly floated downstairs to find his family and Sylvia already awake. "Good morning, sweetie!" His mom said. "How'd you sleep?"
Dustin wasn't willing to tell them about how he had slept. He had a horrific dream, that Team Galactic had taken Sylvia away from him, and that they had killed her. He didn't expose this to his parents, and just said, "Fine mom. What's for breakfast?" Although, he could see out of the corner of his eye, the worried look that Sylvia gave him. She could see how he felt, and that scared her.
"We have some eggs and bacon for a growing Pokemon Trainer like yourself! Help yourself to-" She didn't get a chance to finish her sentence. He used his aura to grab some eggs and bacon and hauled it out of the house. 'Hurry up, Sylvia! Or the good ones will already be taken!'
'Coming!' "We'll see you later." Sylvia explained to Dustin's family. She followed Dustin outside.
As they were walking, most of the townsfolk gave them weird looks. Dustin figured it was because he was floating instead of walking. He instantly touched down, and began walking again. This time, it didn't feel like a chore. He could walk normal again. He and Sylvia headed up to Professor Oak's Lab. When they reached there, Dustin looked at the big door, almost wondering if it was gonna eat them. Then, instead of feeling apprehensive about it, he pushed open the doors, and saw a crotchety old man sitting next to a glass tube with three Pokeballs in it.
"Ah! Welcome to my Lab! I'm Professor Oak, and you must be the son of the Frontier Brain of the Battle Pyramid!"
"That's me! I'm Dustin! And this is Sylvia!"
"It is a pleasure to meet you." Sylvia extended a hand to greet the professor.
'You're not gonna do to him like you did to me, are you?'
'I made that mistake, I learned from it, and I'm not gonna do it again.' Was her reply.
'Good.'
Professor took Sylvia's paw and shook it. "I was not told that you already had a Pokemon! This changes everything! You cannot recieve a starter Pokemon, as you have one already. However, you may choose another pokemon to take with you on your journey."
In the end, he chose a Pikachu, a choice that befit me, as the Pokemon Professor said. "One other pokemon trainer didn't have a choice and wound up with that Pokemon. They became friends, and he became really famous, and strong. I will expect great things from you. Here are your Pokedex and Pokeballs. If you need to get more, the shops carry them."
"Thank you, Professor Oak!" Dustin walked out of the Lab with his head held high, and his stomach on low. Dustin felt the disturbance his stomach was voicing, as well as heard it. He decided that he would go home, get something to eat, take a nap, as he didn't get a good night's sleep, and head out.
As he neared home, he could tell something wasn't right. He ran home, and found his legs wouldn't run fast enough, so he hovered. He got there much faster than if he had ran. When he got there, what he saw shocked him. The car's tires were slashed, the front door had been burst open, and the place felt empty, except for residual traces of people who were there, but didn't deserve to be there.
Dustin instantly floated to the house. "Mom? Dad? Hello?" He didn't think they were gonna answer, but it still felt right. He searched the house, and found a note.
Dustin Lomax.
We have your mother and father. If you want them back, come to the Battle Pyramid, and prepare for a faceoff. Come alone, except for your pokemon.
Team Battle Love
Dustin finished reading the note, and a surge of anger welled up inside of him. 'Sylvia, were going to Battle Pyramid.'
'Sure, but you're tired. You need to rest.'
'Rest can wait. I need to save my parents.' With that, Dustin grabbed Pikachu's Pokeball, and ran out of the house. Sylvia followed.
Dustin floated along for what seemed like hours. Finally, he came upon the Battle Pyramid. It was huge, compared to other places, but he knew better. It was smaller inside than outside. He quickly realized that it was moving, so he hurried under it and found the hatch. He quickly opened it, clambored insode, and reached his hand out to grab hold of Sylvia. She grasped it, and he hauled her up.
When they got through, they were instantly met with a person that looked like he was evil. "Alright. No funny business. Follow me, and we'll get your battle started."
The man led them through the halls, coming to a stop at the stadium. There, where the Gym Leader usually stood, was a masked man. "Are you ready to face me, Dustin?" The masked man said with a deep, dark voice.
"First, where's my family?"
"All in good time. All in good time. First our battle. If you lose, you, your family, and your Lucario die."
Dustin's heart skipped a beat. This was just like his dream. Only he knew exactly what was gonna happen. so he was prepared for it. "Lets do this."
Dustin walked to the other side of the field, and stopped at the challenger's spot.
"We will only use one Pokemon each. Choose wisely, for it will be your last."
"Sylvia, your the best I've got. Let's go."
'Remember, we can convey our attacks telepathically, so he can't hear us.'
'Good idea.' Dustin quickly donned the thought-speak.
The masked man laughed and threw his Pokeball out into the field. It immediately let out a blinding white light which revealed a Gyarados.
'Sylvia, use Force Palm!'
Sylvia mad a mad dash with her palms outward, ready to strike the waiting Gyarados. When she reached him, he dodged. It was as if he was waiting for that attack.
'How did it know what move we were gonna use?'
'Because I knew, and I conveyed it.' Came an unexpected voice in his head. It was the masked man's voice. He had telepathic powers as well. Suddenly, the Gyarados thrashed about and began to attack Sylvia. 'This must be his thrash attack! Quickly! Use Aura Ball!'
Sylvia charged up the attack as Gyarados came at her again. His violent thrashing was too distracting for her, and she lost cohersion of the Aura Ball. She was hit from the side with Gyarados's Thrash. She was knocked up against a pillar. The resounding crack tore open a hole in Dustin's heart. Sylvia was in pain, and he could feel it. She collapsed in a heap on the floor.
"SYLVIA!" Dustin quickly cried when she hit, and he floated over to her, and caught her before she hit the floor. He felt forher life energy, and it was fading fast. "Sylvia. Hang in there. You're gonna be okay!"
"You're a bad liar. I can tell it in your eyes. I'm a goner."
"DON'T SAY THINGS LIKE THAT! You're gonna be okay! I know you will!"
"I'm sorry."
"For what?"
"For being weak. Goodbye." With that last word, and her last breath, her eyes closed. Her life force was gone. She was dead.
Dustin felt his heart give way to a new feeling other than sadness, sorrow, or grief. He now felt anger. And this anger burst from him in the form of the Aura he had. He now was surrounded in Aura. A sight that shocked the Gyarados, but not the Masked man.
"You killed Sylvia. You threaten to take my families lives, as well as mine! You don't deserve pity, mercy, or life!"
"Does that mean you wish to kill me, then?"
"YES! I'LL KILL YOU FOR SYLVIA!" He dissapeared from his point, and reappeared at the masked man's place. He shoved his palm towards the man's chest. He went flying with a look of pure terror on his face. He hit the back wall with the same crack that Sylvia felt. He went up to the man and said "Now you know how my Pokemon felt as she died." with a tear. "Now, you will know the afterlife, like she does!"
'That's enough, Dustin!'
The thought-Speak felt alien, but at the same time, welcome. It had come from behind him. He turned around, and there, standing as nothing had happend, was Sylvia.
'Sylvia? No. It must be a trick. Something this man is planting in my mind.'
Sylvia walked up to Dustin and kissed him. Dustin felt himself resisting, but then let it happen. The tongue he felt, it couldn't have been made up, and he returned the kiss, and held it for the longest time ever.
'Sylvia. It really is you!'
'Dustin. You passed.'
They broke their kiss. "What do you mean, I passed?"
"Just like the lady said!" came a voice from behind.
Dustin turned around and saw the masked man. He removed his mask and revealed that he was Brandon, Dustin's father.
"Dad?! But how? Why?"
"In order, Yes, I lied, and I wanted to bring out the Aura in you, and it worked. You can now fully control your aura, but you need to control it with your emotions, especially the emotions of the love you have with her. That kind of love is special in humans and Pokemon. It rarely works, as the two are just too different. But you and Sylvia were made for each other. You share a bond that is both strong and supporting. Let that feeling grow, and your feelings will grow for each other. As well for your kids."
Dustin blushed at this, and noticed the hint of expression as he said the word kids. He looked at Sylvia and saw a figure forming in her lower extremeties. He quickly realized that when they had had sex last night, he must have gotten her pregnant. But this was weird. "How can I get a Pokemon pregnant? I thought it was impossible for it to happen?"
"No. It is impossible for a human to get a Pokemon pregnant, but for a human with a Pokemon's Aura? Well that wouldn't qualify as human, now would it?"
Dustin realized that this was Sylvia's plan al along. "Oh my god! Sylvia, we're gonna have a baby!"
At that moment, Sylvia dropped. "Yeah! I can feel that! Ohh!"
"Dad, what's wrong?"
"She's going into labor. She's gonna give birth to the egg. Yours and her egg."
As this was said, a big bulge appeared on the place where her uterus would be. Sylvia screamed aloud and began to grab for the nearest thing she could. Once again, the little voice in the back of his head told him to grab her hand, anbd don't let go, no matter what.
Dustin grasped her hand, and she immediately squeezed it, and Dustin felt a pain that wasn't his own. Every piece of pain that she felt, he now felt! He was more closely linked with her than they had ever been before.
The egg quickly began to emerge from her uterus, and Dustin felt it. He felt it as if it were coming out of him. He couldn't stand the pain, but he knew he must endure it to become strong and supportive in the relationship. He endured it all throughout.
Sylvia began to push the egg, and Dustin felt her push. He then had a crazy idea. If I was feeling everything she felt, maybe she'll feel everything I do! I've gotta help her push! With that, he began to push with her. This caused a great squeezing of her hand in his, and he returned it. After a few more minutes of this, the egg was all the way out. Sylvia relaxed her grip, but Dustin did not. He continued to hold her hand, and he laid down with her, to be with her, and also because all that wiped him out. He laid there on the cold floor, looking at Sylvia with loving tenderness. He embraced her, and she returned it.
"Congratulations, Dustin. You have a brand new healthy egg."
Sylvia looked at the egg, and then at Dustin, and then kissed Dustin. Dustin returned the kiss, and at that moment, there wasn't anything that anyone could do to destroy this moment.
I know, it's a bit clihed, but I was running on Energy drinks when I wrote this. It looked good then, it looks good now, so I'll keep it this way. If you don't like it, suggest some additions or subtractions.
There will be a little note of how that voice appears in his head by Chapter 5.
