Story Notes:
I'm just slapping this together for someone, so don't hate me if it's horrible. I'll add categories and other stuff as the story goes along. Only the first chapter is up.
Chapter 2
Taiyala woke up the next morning and the boy wasn't in his sleeping bag. She got up and looked around the place for him. She found him in the kitchen cooking some- 'Wait! This is an abandoned apartment!'
She was intrigued. "How do we have power?"
Rein turned to her. "I g-gave the g-gems b-back that y-you h-had."
"YOU WHAT?!"
"I d-did it f-for the r-reward. I s-said I f-found them i-in a s-sidealley. They g-gave m-me m-money, and I b-bought this p-place. I l-live here n-now."
Taiyala was getting the picture. She no longer had a refuge here. "I see. I guess I'll head out then."
"W-why?"
Taiyala turned around. "Well, you have your place, you probably want meyout?"
Rein looked at her. "Well, i-if y-you w-want to s-stay, y-you c-can."
Taiyala looked at him. "Really?"
"S-sure!"
"Meyowth!" She jumped to him and hugged him. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" She then realized what she was doing, and quickly released him. "Ahem! So, what's for breakfast?"
"S-scrambled e-eggs."
She hadn't eaten in a while, so the eggs were looking quite appetizing. Her stomach gurgled at the sound of the eggs cooking. She grabbed a plate, and sat down on the floor. She may be a Pokemon, but she knew how to hold a fork.
"It's r-ready! C-come and g-get it!"
She brought her plate to him and he filled it with eggs. She looked at them with apprehension, grabbed a fork from the drawers, and went and sat down again in her spot. She was kinda OCD about this kind of thing. When she had a spot, she would make sure no one else took it. It was hers.
As she sat down, she dug right in to the eggs. She was a bit curious, though. "How did you get all this in one night?"
"I-I'm r-really f-fast." He said flat out.
"Oh." She said as flatly as Rein did. "Well, in any case, one of us needs to get some me-oney so we can keep buying stuff like this!"
"Well, I'm o-only 12, so I c-can't go getting a job. What about you? Y-you could pass for human. Get a job. That w-would work, right?"
"Meowth! I'm not gonna get a job when I can easily steal for my pay." She got up. "Thanks for the eggs. I'm gonna head out and look around town."
"O-okay. I-I'll see y-you later."
Taiyala headed for the door. As she did, she realized leaving him here was an invitation for questions. "Do you wanna walk with me-owth?"
Rein looked up. "R-really?"
"Only if you can try to stop the stuttering so much."
Rein cleared his throat. "Okay." He went to the door. "You know, y-you don't look anything like a p-pokemon with that s-stuff on."
"I chose it carefully. I'm wearing gloves, so people won't look at my nails, shoes that actually fit, and my face is the me-only part of my body that's not covered in fur. Ears covered by a hat, I'm good! I don't need anything else, really."
"Cool." He started walking, with her walking right beside him. "I wonder what it's like to be a Pokemon. It's p-probably pretty cool."
"Ehh, it gets rough sometimes. Most of it is cool, but people call you a freak, a weirdo," she clenched her fists. "A puss!" She slammed her fist into a wall. She tried to control it somewhat, but still made an impression. "Oops. I've gotta work on my anger."
"Yeah. I don't want to get evicted on the first day of lease!"
Taiyala looked at him with somber eyes. "I'm sorry. I won't go overboard again."
"Promise?"
Taiyala made a cros on her heart. "Cross my-owth heart and hope to cough up a furball."
Rein laughed at this. "You're funny."
"Thanks."
They began to walk through the streets. As they did, Taiyala walked by the museum she had robbed the night before. "You know, I gotta teach you to thieve as well. That way, you and I can go and rob other places together. Get more loot that way. You know?"
"Mm-hmm." Rein wasn't even thinking at the moment. All that he was thinking of was how incredible Taiyala looked. She even didn't know anything about his past, but he thought she should know. 'Nah. Maybe later.'
"Meowth? Did you say something?"
Rein looked at her. "What?"
"Something about nah, maybe later?"
Rein looked at her. "No! Nu-huh! Nothing like that!"
Taiyala looked at him suspiciously, but then put her eyes back on the road ahead. 'Phew! That was close. I need to concentrate more, otherwise that'll happen again. She can't know about me yet. Tonight, though. I'll tell her tonight.'

Whoa! A bit of drama there! I wonder what he's gonna tell her! Just keep yourself reading in the future. You'll fid out, if you haven't already just given a guess. If you do guess, make sure you keep that guess down, and see how wrong you are. Sorry for the shortness, I'm kinda on a writers block here. I'm pushing my brain to the limits. Writing two stories, and only getting them done in 2 weeks. Harsh. Anyway, let me know what you thought so far! And if you want, post your guess.
