Chapter 29

Journey to Another World 2
Ch. 10

The next few days seemed to pass in a blur. When the blur finally ended we ended up at the entrance to Eterna City. Both Jenavee and Rena looked much stronger and their was some weird looking girl just tailing behind us. She must have been obsessed about the color green and she had the longest braided green hair I'd ever seen. Plus all her cloths were some sort of shade of green as well.

"I can't thank you enough for helping me through that awful forest. There would have been no way that me and my Chancy could have made it on our own." She then took a bow to the three of us and a smirk appeared on my cheek.

"Um sure thing." I placed my right hand on the back of my head and laughed. "I'm just glad the three of us could have been of some...help." Turning around I saw that we were at a new town, then turned around to face her again. "So are you sure you got it from here?" She nodded and we parted ways as she walked into the town.

"Are you alright Donovin?" Jenavee asked with a bit of concerned look on her face, as she stepped up to me. Turning to look over her shoulder I could see a deep and dark forest.

"Um, did we just pass through that forest?" As I pointed to it. Both Rena and Jenavee looked at each other and then turned to me and shrugged to each other with concerned looks on their faces.

"I guess you were right Jenavee. He does not seem to recall going through there." Scratching my head I looked to Jenavee for an answer.

"You do not recall anything about that forest Donovin?" I shook my head as she held an open hand to the woods behind us. "It was like that first time we ran from that Pokemon center. Each of our battles seemed a bit rushed. Even that girl had a hard time keeping up with you." Thinking back I remembered the time that I had moved so very far in a short amount of time. As both Jenavee and myself had run away from those fake police officers. 'Did something happen to my body in the real world again?' I thought over the matter for a while until Rena came up to me and placed a hand on my shoulder.

"What is it Donovin? You look like your thinking pretty hard about something." Looking back to her I saw she had a concerned look on her face. Turning to look at Jenavee she only shook her head.

"Oh it's nothing Rena, just wondering what we'll encounter in this town." Just then a shiver ran down, then back up my spine. Clasping the back of my neck I turned to expect an attack like my Renaissance days, as someone usually liked to attack me with my back turned, as I liked to face off one opponent at a time. Realizing that no-one was there I sighed and removed my hand off my sword hilt. "Damn, I hate being so jumpy. I just hope that this town is at least free of those guys with the suits." Both Rena and Jenavee nodded to me.

Thinking about how many battles they both probably went through I quickly went over to the local Pokemon center to have them get a checkup. Just then out of the corner of my eye I saw someone who resembled one of the members of Team Galactic, looking at us from around the corner of a building. When I turned, I saw him with a look of total fear in his eye, then he quickly turned around the corner and ran off.

"What is wrong Donovin?" I didn't answer her as I gave chase and followed the grunt around several buildings. I had to admit that this little prick was pretty quick as I turned a corner he turned around another, but there was going to be no way that I was going to loose him. Finally after chasing him for a while I saw him disappear behind a four story blue building.

"So what do we do now?" I asked no-one. Looking back I saw that Rena and Jenavee were still quite a ways off. 'I guess something really did happen to my body. Maybe someone gave me a shot that makes me move alot faster here?' Finally Rena and Jenavee caught up with me and started panting while leaning over and their hands on their knees. Once they had caught their breath they both stood back up, and scowled at me.

"Next time you want to go running off like that, worn us will you." I nodded to her, but when I was about to explain myself her dreadlocks stood on end and her eyes went wide. "Wait, you mean that man who ran from you was with..."

"TEAM GALACTIC!" Jenavee said, finishing off what Rena was going to say.

"That's right. And by the look of the building, it would probably be a good bet that there are a lot of them in there." Both girls looked at each other then back to me. "Before we go in there and deal with them though, I think it would be a good idea to head to the Pokemon center and get you girls checked out, so that were ready for a fight." So with a confirming nod from the girls we made our way to the center.

"Donovin." I looked at Jenavee as we walked through the double glass doors. "I am a little concerned about what were about to do."

"What do you mean Jenavee." I asked as I check in with the nurse and she took Rena into a back room for her checkup.

"Why are you so intent about fighting these people." She looked around the room then back at me. "You are not even from this world and you are taking it upon yourself to rid our world of these people and their organization." Looking around the room I understood that she didn't want anyone to overhear our conversation.

'If not me then who?' I thought to her. 'I have been following the Pokemon thing for quite a while and even though there are people who deal with the grunts. But nobody is willing to face the fact that if you don't deal with the real threat, then the real problem will never really go away.' I gave her a smirk then taking a quick look to see if anyone was watching I gave her a quick kiss. 'Besides. There are two people that I really care about here. And I want those two to be safe, so I'll battle against any threat that might threaten the safety of those I care about.'

Once that was finished Rena came out and it was Jenavee's turn. "I know that the two of you were talking about something out here. Not to mention that kiss." My eyes went wide. 'How did she know about that?' She gave me a smirk then pointed to her dreadlocks.

With a sheepish smile I nodded to her. "It's nothing serious. I was just asking her if she knew any way to get to Hearthome city from here." I laughed guiltily. "Because once were done with our other task, we need to find our way towards Hearthome city and find the berries we need to make those Poffins." Just then an old man came up to us and smiled.

"So the three of you want to get to Hearthome City?" We looked at each other then nodded to the old man. "Unfortunately the only way you can get down there is either by flying or get yourself a bike and head down cycle road. Unfortunately you can't get a bike since the owner of the bike shop has gone missing." After he had told us that and given us the description of the owner of the bike shop, I had a strange feeling in the back of my mind, that once I was done with the Galactic members that everything would work itself out.

A little later Jenavee came out and both were said to be in perfect health by the nurse Joy. So with my thanks to the nurse Joy, the three of us headed off to the Galactic building. Upon a closer look at the building, I noticed that there were large spikes on either side of the building. It was almost like the building was telling anyone and everyone to stay away, and if not then you were in some serious trouble.

'It looks like we aren't finished with those team galactic members.' As I saw several outlines of people walk past some of the windows. 'I wonder how many times we'll run into those people.' Turning to my girls they nodded to me then we all turned to the building. We made our way over to the building only to be blocked by the three large shrubs, which were probably put in place as a last means of a deterrent. Removing my sword I only took a quick swipe against the base of middle bush and then it fell.

It seemed like my body took on a life of it's own as we moved to the door and through it. Almost like a hero walking out of the sun. On the other side of the sliding doors a few of the members of the Team Galactic group stood around. "If you want to keep your heads then I recommend that you flea this place and quickly." I pointed my sword at the closest person who turned out to be a women. Each person turned to look at me, but when they saw me each of their eyes went wide then they all started to shake.

"Oh no it's him." One person said. "He's the one that killed that grunt over in that town a ways off." Another said. "I heard that he cut off that girls head."

We stepped aside and then the people quickly ran out the door and far away. The same happened to the other floors. One look at me from the others on the upper floors caused them to have the same reaction. When we reached the fourth floor I didn't see any more grunts to my girls and I relief, only one old man and one women remained. For some reason there were two Pokemon behind that girl and her outfit looked different from the people down stairs. I didn't have time to think it over when she turned to me and shouted.

"If you value the lives of these Pokemon then I recommend that you put that sword of yours away." Taking the last step I turned to look at the old man and the look of panic and loss on his face. 'That's the owner of the bike shop', I realized. "Now if you want to get these Pokemon back I will battle you for them. If you win, I'll hand over these two Pokemon. But if you loose, then I take yours." Quickly turning around I saw Jenavee and Rena taking the last of the steps then stand on either side of me.

"So I take it that this is the leader of all those people that fled earlier." I gave her a quick nod, still looking at the lady.

"And to rescue those Pokemon and the old man, we must have a Pokemon battle." Another nod. Then in unison.

"THEN LET US BEGIN!" As they both took on a fighting stance. Turning to look at the lady she had pulled out a Pokeball and had it aimed at us. When she tossed it into the air a Zubat emerged from the light. Flapping it's wings it jetted and skirted around the room.

'This isn't going to be easy. It looks like that Zubat can doge an attack pretty easily.' "Alright. If that's the way you want to have it, then I will start off with my Gardevoir Jenavee." Jenavee stepped forward and placed her finger tips together. Without a spoken word she unleashed a quick Psychic attack on the unsuspecting Zubat. It's wings stopped in mid beat and it was thrown to the far side of the room where it slammed into the wall with a resounding thump, like something had just hit it with palm thrust. I didn't need to see it's condition to see that it had been knock out cold. "Unleash your next Pokemon or release those Pokemon behind you." I said in a menacing tone. Her eyes went wide as she probably didn't expect that I would have such strong Pokemon. She probably thought that I did all the fighting on my own.

"Sorry Donovin. I think I threw that Zubat a little to hard against that wall." She said telepathically to me.

"That's alright Jenavee. You really haven't been against a Pokemon that is really weak against your psychic attacks before." I said to her with a pat to the shoulder, as I turned to look from her to the Galactic member.

"I have only one more Pokemon, and if you beat my last one then I'll release these two runts to you." With that said she pulled out the last ball and was about to throw it out when I started to laugh.

"What's so funny!"

"That means that your one away from loosing your head." Her eyes shot wide.

"W...what do you mean by that?" She asked in a shaky tone. I just let out an even more menacing laugh.

"Without a Pokemon to protect you, you'll be wide open for either my Gardevoir or Lucario to remove your head. Then again..., it's been a while since my blade has tasted blood. I bet it's starting to get pretty thirsty right about now. So I guess it's all up to you on how you wish to die. By the sword or my Pokemon. Either way we'll have to wait until we have beaten your last Pokemon to decide. But I would have to admit your head would be a nice addition to my collection, since your not some lackey."

"Y...Yo...You wouldn't. Would you?" She stuttered.

"I wonder how many of your collogues heads I've removed. I think the total its up to around three or four. I can't seem to recall."

"It has been four master. Making her the fifth." Rena said out loud. I turned to her and gave her a rub on her head.

"Ah thank you Rena. Your such a good girl for remembering." Turning back to the girl I pointed to her. "Now call out that Pokemon of yours so we can get this over with." She fell to her knees with the Pokeball falling to the ground and rolling down her fingertips. She must have given up as she started to cry. "What's the matter little girl. Not up to risking your own life for the sake for your ridiculous cause? Just willing to hurt other people for it. Even kill them for it." As I walked over to the girl I slowly pulled my sword out of it's sheath, then pointed the tip at her.

"P...please...I...I...beg of you. Spare my life, I'll do anything you want." Now this was a switch. No-one had ever said those words to me before. Turning to look at the man he looked like he had just come out of a horror flick. Turning to him I lowered my sword.

"Mister if you don't want to see this, I recommend that you get these Pokemon out of here and await my arrival at your store." This seemed to bring him back to reality as he slowly rose shakily to his feet. "I need a bike from your store and I will arrive there to talk to you about one. That is of course, once I'm finished here." He nodded, then pulled out his own ball and recalled one of the Pokemon while he ran over to the other and collected it in his arms. Not even looking around, he ran off down the stairs and out of sight.

Turning to look back at the Galactic member I knelt down and raised her face to look at mine. "Before you die, I would like to know your name."

"M...My name?" She stuttered.

"Of course your name. That way when I send your worthless head to your boss then he'll be able to identify who you are. Because once I remove your head I'm going to carve it into your skull, or maybe I'll just carve it in there beforehand." This only seemed to cause more fear in the girl as I started to smell a rancid odor in the air.

"I do not believe this. Donovin actually scared the droppings out of that poor girl." Rena said silently to Jenavee.

"Who would have thought that Donovin was capable of something like that. I only heard that very few Pokemon with the ability to use Roar could do that to their opponent. Though I wish he wouldn't lay it on so thick. He is even starting to scare me quite a bit."

"No kidding I never knew that he could do that to someone."

"M...My...N...name is J...Jupiter."

"Jupiter. An easy name to remember. Very well, I'll make sure to carve it into your forehead after I remove your head, or maybe, I'll do that now." As I raised my sword tip to her forehead then started to laugh in an evil way. With that the girl's eyes rolled back into her head and she flopped face first onto the ground. "Damn I thought she would never pass out." Sliding my sword back into it's sheath I reached into my pack and tied a gag around her mouth then tied her arms and legs up.

"I'm sorry you really didn't get in any battle experience while we were here Rena." I said as I finished tying her up.

"That is ok Donovin. Just next time you are going to scare a girl like that, please let us both know. You really scared us with that talk." I could tell in her shaky voice that she was scared as well. Looking over my shoulder I could see that both Rena and Jenavee were shaking a little. Once I was done tying up Juniper I walked over to my girls and gave them both a long hug.

"I'm sorry girls. You know that I would never do such a thing to anyone." They both looked at each other then nodded to me. "Now all we have to do is make sure that if those other grunts are watching this place when we leave that they believe that I did do the deed. So if Jenavee would be so kind." She nodded to me then when I turned around, Junipers head turned invisible.

Reaching into my pack I pulled out a large sack that I had been using to carry the berries I hoped to pick later on, then stuffed some of my dirty cloths into it. It was just the right size for a head, so I picked up Junipers body and threw it over my shoulder and the three of us left the building.

"Looks like you were right Donovin. I can sense a few of those people you scared off watching us." Not bothering to acknowledge her we made our way to the local Police station and turned her over to the Police with a few exceptions. Though when we first entered the building we were met by the barrels of several guns. It only took them a few moments to realize who I was and then they lowered their guns and complied with my exceptions.

Getting a bike from Rickshaw's cycle shop was fairly easy, once the three of us entered his shop. In a shaky voice he thanked us for the rescue of his Pokemon and offered us a collapsible bike free of charge. And with that the three of us headed down to Cycle Road and onward to Hearthome city.
