The Dreams We Share

The Dreams we Share

A Poem by Majinonifox1

Darkness falling, trap us round.
I feel my feet fall on the ground.
I look at her, she looks at me,
Then I see what is to be.

She is there, with a ring.
While I sit there and then I sing.
I sing her a song, made all on my own,
The song I wrote is never known.

The darkness shrouds, yet once again,
It fades to reveal a cave-like den.
In it is a sight to scare,
The one I love is beaten and bare.

She is trapped in this place, no thoughts of outside.
She waits there for the inevitable ride.
The one to bring her to the gate,
Where she has her love to wait.

I shout out, but my voice is sore.
Then something happened that never before.
The room twisted and turned and all was black.
I snapped open my eyes and found I was back.

I turned my head to see my love,
I held her close, she cooed like a dove.
I said to her "Gardevoir, My dream was a fright.
I dreamed you would die in my sight."

"I had a similar dream. You were to die.
I called out your name, but my voice carried nigh."
"That is the way it was in my head."
"Then we are bound by destiny to both be dead."

I refused to die, and told her so.
She then surprised me by the voice she would throw.
"So I would die, and that would be that?
What of our love, and what of our pact?"

"I never will break my own vow.
I will see you not harmed, now,
Tell me again, why you'll never leave."
"For you are the one who breaks through my sieve.

You are the one who will be my light.
You will shine, and oh, so bright.
You are my shoulder for which I cry,
My tears stain your shirt, and you don't wipe them dry.

That is why I will never leave you,
And for that reason, I said I do."
"I'll never let you end up dead.
If you were, I'd chop my own head.

Only if to be with you,
I'd soon let die and what I'd do.
I'd head to those pearly gates up there.
I'd tell them 'Table for Two. She's around here somewhere.'

I'd wait for an eternity, if I had to,
And if I were to wait, I'd have something to do.
I'd think of a million and one reasons why you're special to me,
And when you got there, I'd tell you in minutes three."

She kissed my cheek and said "Fate is hard,
The sisters have dealt all but one card.
If that card turns our luck bad,
Then I pray we live for the life we had.

If the card turns our luck grand,
Then I hope our life is one not bland.
I'd carry your kids, and stay as your mate.
And if we die, I'll see you at the gate."

I kissed her again, as we once had.
And in that moment, I was glad.
For no dream was to tear at our life.
If anything, it brought us more husband and wife.

The card was dealt, and our fortune smiled.
The card that was dealt was that of Wild.
Our destiny wasn't controlled. That was sure.
I'd stay with my Gardevoir, our love, forever pure.
Chapter End Notes:Well, here it is. Don't hate me if it sucks. Just tell me. I'm open to all forms of criticism
