Brotherhood Ch.22
Mecha: Hey everyone...and welcome to Chapter 22 of Brotherhood...filled with even more battles.
White: Probably going to need a shower if it's a blood bath. *She came out while looking around.* Least the camera's working. *looking to it.*
Xehta: *walks in* Why wouldn't it?
White: Yellow's been updating it so I was a little cautious.
Mecha: Come on...Yellow's good with these things...there's no need to be concerned.
White: Well ok. Anyhow who wants to update?
Xehta: The gang had just finished up the first base in a string of areas they need to destroy.
White: Base two dead ahead and more trouble flowing down the pipe.
Mecha: *nods* It sure is...what awaits the gang? Read and find out!
An explosion rang out, shattering the calm of the morning. Chunks of the wooden gate fell about, as dust blocked the view of all present. Inferno and the others had made their next move against the Brotherhood, striking the second base that stood before them and their goal.
This castle had stone walls, and was a very narrow rectangle, unlike the first squarish fort they had encountered.
Unlike before, they had opted for a full out attack on the front, using the morning to catch their enemy off guard. The plan worked. The Brotherhood soldiers were in complete disorder, rushing for the source of the chaos, and subsequently getting cut down by the group.
*****
In the keep, a machoke garbed with a helmet and wielding a shield and spear, all three items were of Spartan design. A foot soldier came in, "Master Voldred...we're under attack!"
The machoke scoffed, "I can see that...get my personal retinue. I'll meet these wretches." He stretched out, working out any kinks in his joints, waiting for the soldier to return.

Inferno leapt over a human wielding a giant axe. The weapon had hitting power, but it was slow, and easy for the houndoom to dodge. Upon landing back on ground, Inferno sank his teeth into the Achilles tendon of the soldier, making him fall to the ground, where his head was split by an iron tail. With one enemy down, Inferno's attention quickly went to an attacking marowak. Inferno dodged a bone club attack, which was quickly followed by another. The ground type pokemon kept up his assault, trying to trip up his opponent, but it wasn't looking too likely.
Inferno was deafly dodging every attack, chuckling at the marowaks expense, while also leading the mon to the perfect spot. Inferno smirked, "Congratulations...you've just been made into a projectile." As the marowak stared in confusion, Inferno unleashed a dark fire beam. The attack smashed into the ground type, sending him into a barracks, shortly followed by an explosion, sealing the building. Inferno smirked, than dodged under a sword slash, he wasn't done yet.
Sky unleashed a razor wind, cutting through a hitmontop and gallade. The two pokemon collapsed to the ground, as a human with a spear rushed her. She quickly sidestepped his charge through, her paw bringing a massive slash to his side. The human fell into the dirt, as the absol moved to her next opponent. The unfortunate soul was a snorlax, who was slowly moving towards the others. Sky intercepted the mon, unleashing an ice beam to push him back.
The normal type pokemon glared, and rushed for her. Sky barely managed to leap away from his body slam, the attack leaving his back wide open to a slash attack. The snorlax bellowed in agony, getting up as he felt his back side opened and bleed from the attack. He spun around, glaring at Sky, than began to glow. Sky gulped, seeing he was going to use giga impact. She quickly prepared a razor wind, unleashing it as he unleashed his own super attack. The massive explosion sent soldiers around the mon flying. Sky closed her eyes as she was engulfed in dust...but when it settled, the snorlax was on the ground dead, a massive gash in his stomach. Sky panted, but quickly moved to engage in more combat.
Rika sent a raichu flying into a human with an iron tail. She smiled, as her iron tail soon collided with another victim, sending a kricketune straight into a batch of soldiers. The raichu chuckled ending her attack, than sparked as she set her sights on a human, and used a quick attack followed by a mega kick to knock him back. The soldier glared, holding his sword out, "I'm going to gut you!" Rika just chuckled, waving her paw, calling him out.
The soldier charged, blade held high as he went to split the raichu. She just rolled her eyes, not in the least bit impressed or intimidated by his actions. The sword came down, landing in the dirt, Rika having leapt to his side, a thunder bolt blasting into him. The soldier collapsed; smoke seeping from the chinks in his armor. Rika chuckled, using an iron tail to send the raichu she had beaten down not too long ago flying again. She rolled her eyes, "Glutton for punishment aren't you?" she chuckled, going to meet more foes.
Bane was unleashing shadow ball after shadow ball, taking several attackers down, and keeping several more back. One armored toxicroak rushed forward, his scimitar managing to deflect every shadow ball. Bane growled, and rushed forward to meet the mon head on. The blade met an iron tail, and a duel soon erupted, the amphibian easily matching the mightyena blow for blow. The two kept going at one another, Bane occasionally firing a shadow ball to keep the battle one on one. The toxicroak wasn't going to let up, and he wasn't going to simply be beaten, his attacks starting to gain more force.
Light sparks flared, the iron tail and blade meeting more and more, Bane growling low. The mightyena was getting tired of the constant exchange, and began to get more aggressive...though it left him open to retaliation if his opponent wasn't pressed enough. Luckily the gamble paid off, the toxicroak was pushed back, forced to go solely on the defense. Eventually, much to the Brotherhood soldier's dismay, his blade broke from the assault. Bane used the chance, unleashing a hyper beam, sending the poison/fighting type into and through a wall. He couldn't enjoy the victory long though, more soldiers awaited.
Blaze glared, eyes glowing as he sent a human soldier into a swiftree, taking both out. His eyes kept glowing as he sent more and more psychic blasts out, sending Brotherhood soldiers flying. The dark types that didn't go flying were met with flamethrowers and fire blasts which easily dispatched them. Blaze spat out a little flame, not at all impressed with what he was going up against. "Can't you do any bett..." he was sent to the ground by a dark pulse to the back. He got up and turned to face the attacker.
A weavile smirked, "Better?" she flexed her claws. Blaze glared, unleashing another psychic blast to make sure he had plenty of room for his opponent. "Oh...tough guy huh?" She giggled, "I'll admit...you're cute...it's a shame I have to kill you." She shrugged, "Orders...nothing personal you understand." Blaze spat flame, using psychic to move the earth under her. She dropped and was quickly trapped from the knees down in the ground. She gasped as a flamethrower hit her, Blaze ending the attack, letting her fall back, "Nothing personal." He turned to the other Brotherhood soldiers who hadn't learned he wasn't going to go down.
Tia chuckled, using one soldier as a club, his comrades trying best to avoid a face to face meeting with him. Tia tossed the individual away, letting him land on more of his allies. The tyranitar smirked, motioning for more to come at her. A duel axe wielding soldier charged her, and an iron tail sent him flying backwards. She took the next move, unleashing a thunder bolt from her tail, striking an aggron's horns, sending the giant to the ground. The tyranitar flicked her tail, waiting for the next attack to come.
The attack came in the form of a massive rush of humanoid shaped pokemon, and normal humans, all garbed in armor and with swords, spears, pikes, and axes. Tia sighed, not impressed, and met the front with a massive punch. She didn't use any special attacks, she just unleashed punches and tail swings. The attacks were enough to take out the soldiers, one human had managed to get on her back, but he was quickly grabbed and slammed into the ground. Tia then grabbed a poor lopunny, and used her as a battering ram, knocking down the rest of the attackers...but there were still more left.
Death snarled, tossing the torso of a human into his comrades. The legs lay in the dirt, bleeding out. Death flicked his tentacles, rushing for a hitmonchan, sinking his teeth into the fighter type's leg, while a tentacle grabbed his arms. Unable to do anything, the mon could only let Death fling him around, before smashing him into the ground. The winged mightyena than turned to face a human, who tried to skewer him with a spear, but was instead pieced by Death's tentacle, before the body could grow still though, it was flung into more Brotherhood soldiers.
Death's tactic was working; he was shattering the moral of his enemies. They were all afraid to near him, his body starting to become soaked in blood. And he didn't let up, he rushed into more soldiers, viciously dismembering them, leaving corpse after corpse for scavengers to pick at after the battle's end. Soldiers began to break and run from the display that Death put on, and the winged mightyena just smirked, unleashing air cutters and wind slashes upon scores of unfortunate souls. Death was obviously living up to his name, and he still had more opponents...though they were unwilling.
Ferra was keeping enemies at bay with water pulses, water guns, and sonic booms. She lacked any of the real up close combat skills of the others, but she more than made up for it with her ranged attacks. Aqua jet further assisted her in making sure she wouldn't be in the enemies' range, it also served as a finisher if an opponent refused to go down. She had just used an aqua jet to bring down a two sword wielding soldier, when another floatzel slammed into her with his own aqua jet.
The two floatzel simply glared at one another for a long time, before launching aqua jets, colliding into one another repeatedly. The attacks inadvertently smashed through several of the other Brotherhood soldiers, sending bodies flying as the impacts created powerful bursts of water. The two didn't let up in the least, their attacks growing more ferocious and powerful. Ferra realized that keeping this up wouldn't accomplish anything, and decided on a risky maneuver. As they neared again, she quickly did a spiral, getting above him, and slammed the other floatzel into the ground. Going through the earth, the floatzel's attack was stopped, and opened him up to Ferra's attack, which struck with ample force. As the dust began to settle, Ferra unleashed several attacks on the enemies that remained.
Flint landed, leaving a now headless scyther to thud against the dirt. His attention quickly went to a human soldier charging. Flint deftly spun, his blade cutting through the legs and sending the soldier to the ground, screaming in pain. The little absol then leapt onto the back of a charizard, sending his blade into the dragon's neck. Pulling his weapon out, he quickly leapt away, impaling a sandslash as he landed. Yanking the blade out of his latest victim, Flint's white fur was further stained crimson.
A lightly armored soldier wielding two blades charged. Flint waited, and quickly blocked the initial attack, and all the following strikes. The soldier was pretty skilled, but Flint wasn't really impressed, since he was easily able to dodge every attack. Compared to Albel, this guy was a joke. Flint slowly waited, analyzing the movements of his opponent, than found the small delay in the soldiers combos. With a swift slash, Flint exploited the fraction of a second delay, and slashed off one hand. Stunned from the attack, the soldier was defenseless against the coup de grace. Flint gave a fling of his sword to remove some of the blood, looking at the rapidly dwindling numbers of soldiers.
A howl of pain rang out from the throat of a mawile, whose face was now aflame from a flame thrower. Azur smiled, leaping over a raichu, using the same attack on the mouse's tail. The electric type let out a scream, trying to put the fire out. The houndour landed, laughing loudly. She quickly made a spin, and ran around an attack human, whose axe had just landed where she had been. With a giggle she used a flamethrower on his butt, making him yell in pain. She laughed, "I am...HOT!" she laughed more.
The fire/dark type barely managed to dodge a water pulse, which went over her ducked head. A golduck glared at her, flexing its claws. Azur smirked, "Think that just because you're a water type you can beat me?" she chuckled. Slowly her body began to glow with a dark aura, the golduck only managed to stare in awe. Azur than unleashed a dark pulse, the attack smashing the golduck hard, sending him into several of his compatriots, all of them out cold. The houndour chuckled happily, quite enjoying her accomplishment, as she turned to face the few opponents she had left.
A scream of agony rang out; a soldier clinging to the spot his arm had once called home. Several of the other soldiers backed away, gulping. Albel just laughed, his blade gleaming in the spots that weren't covered in blade. The lucario could only smirk, as he leapt into more enemies, his claw and blade creating flashes that left human and pokemon in chunks. A scizor tried to match the fighter/steel type, but it only managed one attack before being pushed back, sliced up in the process.
Albel's attention than went to a soldier with a naginata. Under the armor, it was pretty obvious that he was a lucario like Albel. He was very confident, and stared down at the ex-Black Brigade commander. The soldier slowly closed the distance, Albel smirking, "Calm...collected...ready to battle...good." The soldier stayed quiet, than in a blur made a swing, which Albel ducked under. A second swing came in, and Albel's metal claw blocked it, and he quickly countered with a sword slice. The soldier blocked it with the pole of his polearm, and quickly pushed Albel's blade back, then followed with a stab. Albel was barely able to divert the direction, taking a nick to his side. The lucario smirked, enjoying his skilled opponent, "Not bad." The soldier wasted no words, and kept on the offensive, his naginata swinging, aiming for a mortal or at least debilitating strike. Albel chuckled, quickly finding the opening, and used a super charge aura sphere, blasting the mon into one of the castle's walls. The soldier fell to the ground, either dead or out cold. Albel shrugged, not really caring about his fate.
As the lucario turned back, the last of the soldiers fell to Flint. The lucario chuckled, "Not a bad fight...but...far from the end." He looked at the keep, "There is still one last batch of soldiers left...and they'll be a problem."
Inferno blinked, not liking that Albel said that statement, "Why?"
Just then the keep's doors opened, and several figures emerged. All of them were either muscular men, or fighter type human shaped pokemon. All of them were garbed in very old fashioned armaments, wielding large shields and spears. "Warriors! Prepare!" shouted the central machoke.
"That's why...those shields will absorb any ranged attack." He glared, "It's a tactic used by a group of warriors from long ago. They were called Spartans, and since the corridor to them is narrow...we can't get around the shields. If we near them...they'll thrust their spears...so it's nearly impossible to break through their line."
Death wasn't all that convinced, "Let's test that statement." He let loose an air cutter. The attack hit the shield, and didn't even leave a scratch. Slowly the soldiers began to advance towards the group. Inferno growled, "Let's try to focus our attacks on one soldier." The other's nodded, almost all of them unleashing their ranged attacks in unison. The combination struck a shield, but it didn't break...it had a dent, but nothing more.
Albel glared at the advancing line. "That's why only strong soldiers are among their ranks." The lucario smirked, "But this does have one weakness."
Azur looked to him, "And what's that?"
Bane soon understood the weakness though, as he noted one absence from the group. "Don't worry Azur...just wait...you'll see the moment."
Albel nodded, grinning, "I feel sorry for you Voldred...your precious little method is about to be beaten." He chuckled, "It's really a flawed means of fighting against pokemon."
Slowly all of them made a line in front of the advancing warriors. Azur, Flint, Albel, Inferno, Sky, Bane, Blaze, Death, Ferra, and Tia all stared at their adversaries. The soldiers didn't stop their advance, getting closer and closer. Several yards from their enemies, the advancing line stopped...a strange sound catching their attention.
"No protection from below attacks." Albel snickered. A massive bolt of thunder shot out from the ground, breaking the line, and letting the others pour in. A raichu soon shot out from the crater made by the attack, an iron tail going straight into a skull of a recovering soldier. Voldred let out a roar, "No! To arms! Fight them o..." his sentence was cut short, two blades protruding from his chest. Albel and Flint withdrew their weapons, letting the machoke fall to the ground. The others quickly dispatched of the remaining soldiers, who were still trying to recover from Rika's surprise attack.
When the castle had been cleared, the group quickly withdrew into cover to rest up and prepare for the next battle that lay ahead. As they rested up, Azur looked to her parents, "Momma, papa...what are we going to do after we stop the Brotherhood?"
Inferno smiled at her, "I think go home...I'm getting to old for this." He chuckled, "Plus...I'm sure aunt Cara and grandpa are wondering what's taking us so long to get back."
Rika nodded, "Yeah...and I think after all of this fighting...we deserve a break."
Bane nodded, "Yeah...especially with how smart you've been fighting." The raichu blushed, smiling sweetly at her mate. As she wrapped her tail around his neck and dragged him away from the others, Flint looked to Albel. "What are you going to do after Nadox is dead?"
Albel shrugged, "I don't know...I...suppose I'll pay someone a visit." He flexed his paw.
Sky looked at the lucario, "Who?"
He smirked, "Someone I've owed a little visit for awhile now."
Death shrugged, "I feel sorry for the poor sap. You have that I'm going to kill look."
Albel chuckled, "Really? I didn't know I was making it." He chuckled more. The others shook their heads...he wasn't evil sure...but he wasn't exactly a good guy either...he was just fight happy.

Kage chuckled, "Not bad...they beat Voldred and his little Spartan wannabe's." he broke into full laughter, "This is getting good."
Nadox wasn't as amused, "I say we just bring our entire force to bear on these scum. Kill them now...why let them advance."
Kage held up a hand, "Are you worried we won't beat them?"
Nadox shook his head, "Of course not! But why waste good human lives? They could be used to conquer."
Sima Yi nodded, "I agree with Nadox...for different reasons...we should attack with full force now."
Kage shook his head, "No need...I want them to reach here...they'll come through the secret path...so we'll only lose 3 bases." He chuckled, "I've got something interesting planned for them all...it's going to be great." He broke into another full blown laugh.
Black: Cocky ass....asking for the foe to get into HQ though the back door is like bending over and taking a spiky thermometer up the tail.
Mecha: *Rubs the vixens back* Calm down.
Black: I know... but still I think Green's right about him.
Xehta: I agree.
Mecha: *rolls eyes* You're all being kinda childish if you ask me.
Black: Oh really, then what you'd call him?
Mecha: Crazy, monstrous...insane...plenty of things other than his dick size.
Xehta: I do admit...whatever he's got planned for the gang can't possibly be good.
Black: Ok... he's got screws loose...he probably drank from the Kefka fountain...and might have the devious final boss like arena made for our heroes.
Mecha: *nods* That we can agree on...but we won't know what he's got planned until later...so till than readers. This is Mecha...signing off.
White: Probably going to need a shower if it's a blood bath. *She came out while looking around.* Least the camera's working. *looking to it.*

*****
