Story Notes:
I was bored so I wrote this story, so far it isn't that bad.
Yun
The only thing I remember was a blinding light that blocked out my whole view of the world, and then I was falling.

"How is the condition?" a deep voiced asked in the eerie light of the lab. Another voice answered his from somewhere in the room. "Stabilized, he is in good condition." The doctor, a very tall black panther, walked over to the glass cylinder staring through the liquid that was keeping the Lucario inside from dying.

Yun's ears twitched, but he couldn't open his eyes. He was exhausted and couldn't remember anything but his own name.

The panther was slowly rubbing the glass that held his live specimen. He motioned for one of the other scientists to come forward. A small fox slowly walked forward and stared through the glass at the Lucario. Ose blinked once as he saw Yun's ear twitch slightly. The panther smiled inwardly as he thought of the many awards he could get for a creature like this. "Tell me John, how did our explorers come across this . . . marvelous creature?" The fox shivered when he heard the panther's voice. He knew how cruel the doctor could be when he found something of interest to him. "Well sir, the researchers were out in the jungle on their way back here from their harvest of those cave flowers you discovered a few months ago. . ." The panther gave another grin, he remembered those flowers. 'Mix them with the right ingredients and you could have a cure to almost any illness.' ". . .Then out of nowhere they saw a blinding light and your specimen here fell out of the sky. They found him lying on the ground close to death, with a peculiar looking staff in his hands." The fox pointed to a table nearby the cylinder that held Yun. On the table was a staff about five feet tall and one foot wide. "The staff gave off some weird energy waves and. . ." The fox trailed off as he saw that the doctor was once again staring at the Lucario.

Yun tried desperately to remember where he was and what had happened to him. He gave up after he got a headache from thinking too hard. Slowly the voices he heard started to drift away from his mind as he slipped into unconsciousness.
* * *
Ose left the sleeping Lucario and walked out of the examination room. John was the only one left in the room. He stood staring at the Lucario as he slept, "Why did you have to be where Ose could find you?" The fox sighed as he turned and left the examination room leaving Yun alone as he slept.

It wasn't until later in the night that Yun figured out that he couldn't sleep. He kept turning in the liquid that held him causing small disturbances that were recorded by a computer. (I'm breathing. . .but I am in water. . .where am I?. . .why am I here?) He couldn't answer the questions going through his mind. He opened his eyes and looked around the lab. No one was there and there was minimal light to see in. Very slowly he reached out a paw and ran it over the glass that held him in the water. It seemed so fragile, just a little more pressure and... The glass broke under his touch and the liquid rushed out. Yun was dragged out in the current. He fell on the floor catching himself on his paws as he retched up the liquivent that he had been breathing. The liquid burned his throat as it was pushed from his body and he couldn't breathe and started to panic until the last of the fluid left his body. Yun took a huge lungful of air making his chest tingle. He stayed like that for a few minutes until he thought he could stand up. He shivered as he slowly rose; he took a look around the lab and saw that it was mostly empty. He blinked a few times in confusion and realized he could not hear anything. He shook his head several times to get rid of any of the remaining liquivent. As soon as he thought he was rid of the stuff hearing gradually returned to him. Yun cocked his head to the side picking up a faint noise. He had no idea that he had set off an alarm. He jumped when he heard the door close behind him and guessed now that he wasn't alone. A small needle prick of pain made him reach a paw up to his neck; he pulled out a dart from where the initial pain was felt and dropped it on the ground. Yun tried to run but fell to his knees; he was so surprised he failed to notice how tired he was getting until he slumped onto the floor. He made one more attempt to stand but fell once again. "Make sure he is guarded," he heard someone say just as he drifted off into a forced sleep.

John returned to the lab the day after Yun was tranquilized. He was surprised himself to find out that the pokemon had broken free. He stood in front of a tall steel door that slid open for him and sighed as he walked into a different examination room that now held Yun. He saw the Lucario sitting on a rock that was surrounded by tall grass with some scattered trees here and there. He turned back to the door and punched in a series of numbers on the control monitor locking it securely in place. He turned around to find he was staring at Doctor Ose. "Good morning sir," he said politely as he walked past the panther and up to the pokemon. Yun's eyes were closed, but he was sitting cross-legged on the stone. Ose growled softly making the fox shudder with fear. "It hasn't done anything but sit there on that rock since it woke up." John was angry that Ose would refer to the Lucario as an "it" when the pokemon was obviously male. Ose left John alone with the pokemon walking towards a different exit muttering things about useless researchers. John turned back to face Yun when he realized he wasn't there. The fox looked frantically around the artificial clearing but couldn't find Yun anywhere. He turned and was about to tell Ose when he saw that Yun was right behind him staring very intently into his eyes. The fox found that he couldn't look away from the lucario's silver eyes. He tried to stare deeper but they flashed a bright gold, John stumbled back stifling a cry as Yun's eyes returned to their normal silver color.
Yun caught faint trails of memories as he stared at the fox. He stiffened in surprise when his view of the world went from bright vibrant colors to a dull orange. His gaze rested on the fox that was now a swirling vortex of colors. His memory told him that he was reading the fox's aura. The fox had so many colors going around each other it was almost blinding, orange mixing with streaks of red and blue, a flash of white, a line of green, and. . .if he looked closer he saw a small trail of gold haloing the fox. Yun didn't know why, but that color made him drop his guard. His mind was still foggy but he hadn't forgotten how to speak. He tried a simple greeting but he couldn't remember where he learned it. "Hello," Yun had no idea if he was understood or not, the fox had slumped on the ground and was staring at him in a way that made Yun feel uncomfortable. "Hello?" he ventured again when to fox didn't answer.
John was astounded; never in his wildest dreams would he have thought he would have been the first to communicate with this magnificent creature. He was still mulling over the sound of Yun's voice, it was a soft whisper, like the breeze of a smooth wind on tall blades of grass. He shook his head breaking his train of thought as Yun addressed him again. He cleared his throat and stood up while making a small bow. The creature spoke English; John didn't know how much of the language the lucario could speak. "Hello," John repeated as Yun smiled. He was about to say something more when Ose walked into the room.
Yun turned to face the panther and once again his vision went to the dull orange color as he read the doctor's aura. He was instantly on guard when he saw the angry swirl of red and black. It wasn't the soft curious red like the other ones, this was violent. Sliding behind the line of black was a wide halo of silver. An angry growl rose up from Yun's chest and out of his muzzle. The world regained It's colors and Yun was tensed for battle. Yun didn't register that the panther and the fox were discussing something. He couldn't say why but the panther ignited a spark of anger in the lucario whenever he was around. Yun's growl turned into a menacing snarl as the panther strode forward towards him, he remembered only that the panther had reached out for him with both his arms outstretched, that was a fatal mistake.
"What's going on here John?" Ose asked, his voice dripping with quiet anger. John couldn't find any way out of this situation. "Sir . . . he just spoke to me of his own accord . . . I never provoked him or any. . ." John trailed on as he saw that Ose's attention was caught by the sudden flash of gold in Yun's eyes just as he was. John cringed when he heard Yun growl, the cringe turned into openly shown terror when he heard the snarl that left his lips when Ose advanced towards him. He was about to warn the panther about moving to fast but he was too late.
All the anger the doctor had felt when he saw HIS specimen responding to someone of low class like John and not himself was all but forgotten when he saw the flash of gold in Yun's eyes. He stalked towards the pokemon about to grab it by the shoulders and immediately examine it some more. Throwing all caution to the wind he took another step forward, ignoring Yun's warning growls and snarls. He was almost within arms reach when the world was suddenly rushing past him with blinding speed.
Yun couldn't stand the panther being this close. He set both of his paws in front of him facing the doctor and a ball of light condensed where his paws were. All of a sudden the small orb shot forward and slammed into the panther's chest sending him flying back into the steel wall. Ose was too shocked to speak and fainted as soon as he hit the ground. Yun had no idea what he had just done, a few seconds after the panther was out cold a huge wave of weariness swept over him bringing him to his knees and forcing him to lie in the grass. The last thing he saw was the fox shouting something into a small tube before sleep claimed him.
