Story Notes:
I was bored so I wrote this story, so far it isn't that bad.
Memories
What is happening to me? Why am I here? I have to get out of the place."
*
Ose was confused. With a small groan he tried to sit up but was gently pushed down.
"Sir please, you have to lie down."
The panther growled and pushed the restraining hand away and sat up. He hissed as pain shot from his ribs up to his chest. His paws wandered to his ribs and encountered a hard cast instead of his fur. "What happened?" he asked.
"I have no clue. The medical crew brought you in over a week ago and you have been sleeping ever since."
Ose looked over at the mouse standing next to his bed. "Thank you Sarah. Now if you will excuse me I. . ." the panther began as he tried to stand up.
Sarah gently restrained the panther, her smooth white fur opposite his ruffled black. "I really think you should lie back down. You have a few broken ribs and some other injuries."
"Nonsense, I can't stay here when that fox is in the examination room with my experiment."
Sarah sighed and pointed to a small window at the far end of the infirmary. Outside was John sitting alone and staring down the hallways. "He is right over there. Now please lie down!" she gasped as she saw the panther slowly walking toward the door. She ran in front of him placing both of her paws on his chest. "All right, if you insist on leaving today go back to your bed so I can remove your cast."
Ose growled softly but did as he was told. When he was safely seated, the nurse grabbed something off a table. The thing she held looked like a roll of silver yarn. "What is that?"
Sarah set the bundle on Ose's bed and proceeded removing his cast. She winced involuntarily as she saw the scar around his stomach. The scar was a perfect circle and the fur that was supposed to be there was burned away leaving pale skin. Sarah quickly grabbed the bundle of wrapping from the panther's side before he could see.
Ose had already seen the scar as soon as the mouse removed his cast. He growled softly as the memory of what happened quickly ran through his head. "That thing will pay."
Sarah shuddered as she slowly pulled a long length of wrapping around the lower half of Ose's body.
Ose hissed in surprise as he felt multiple pin pricks of pain across his stomach. "What is that!?!" he gasped as the nurse began wrapping his stomach much more quickly. As soon as the wrapping touched his skin it felt like claws were digging into him. The pain was instant but still unpleasant.
Sarah was about to wrap over Ose's scar when he grabbed both of her hands. "Sir please. This will dull the any pain you feel while you're up and about." She gently slipped her hands from his grasp and continued to wrap up the doctor. She finished in about five minutes and held the bundle in front of the panther. "This is what we are now using for patients who insist on working when they are physically injured as you are now. I call it Quicksilver, but the other nurses have a different name for it." She was satisfied when Ose was watching her every move with the Quicksilver. She set a strip of the wrap on the table in front of the panther. "Now watch," she added as she quickly slid her paw over the item. As soon as her skin slid over an area small spines extended quickly into the air about one inch. The spines slowly dripped a liquid onto the table.
"So what does this "Quicksilver" do?" the panther asked.
The mouse rolled up the rest of the Quicksilver and set it down on a tray. She sighed as she turned to the panther. "The Quicksilver is like an anesthetic. The spines that it produces secrete a liquid that almost instantly numbs whatever it touches. After the numbness is settled into your body, it also releases a substance that speeds up how fast your body heals."
Ose looked down at the Quicksilver that covered his chest and gave a thoughtful nod. "Amazing, great name for the new product Sarah."
The mouse blushed as she grabbed the rest of her medical tools and walked out of the room. She poked her head from behind an office door and smiled at the doctor. "I believe it should be safe for you resume your work now sir." She gave a polite nod and disappeared from sight.
Ose stood from the hospital bed and stretched his body. He purred softly feeling no pain whatsoever in his chest. He grabbed his lab coat from the rack as he walked out of the infirmary door. As soon as he took a step he was confronted by John who was panting in excitement.
"Sir it is absolutely amazing, you really must hear what Yun exposed me to."
Ose stared at the fox who was practically dancing in place. "Yun?" he asked.
"Oh, the Lucario in the examination room."
"Lucario?" Ose growled as he figured out where the conversation was going.
John gulped as he saw what kind of attitude the panther was in. "I-I was visiting Yun while you were still unconscious."
Ose sheathed and unsheathed his claws in frustration. (Oh sure the fox gets a full on conversation from that thing. I on the other hand nearly have my life taken away from me.)
John lowered his ears against his head, holding back the urge to whimper in front of the doctor. "Sir p-please. I don't know why but Yun seems to really be comfortable around me.
"Really?" Ose whispered
John trembled, "H-he told me he doesn't think he belongs here."
"Did he now?" Ose growled. His eyes flashed in the lighting as he quickly thought up a plan that would deal with both John and the creature.
John took a step back as the panther walked past him and down the hallway. He slumped against a wall breathing hard. After a few seconds he stood and looked down to where Ose had walked. Taking a deep breath he made a decision. "I have to get Yun out of here."
* * *
Yun sighed as he walked around the artificial clearing that the strange ones had put him in. (I wonder if the orange one will come back?) Yun hopped to his feet and cocked his ears forward. Someone was coming.
* * *
Ose growled to himself as he trotted down to the hallway. He grabbed a tranquilizer gun from his office but instead of the regular dart, he grabbed two darts filled with a more potent tranquilizer. He rushed out of his office and made his way to the examination room.
John panted as he ran down the hallway towards the room that held Yun. He wove his way through different people and came to the examination room. Quickly he punched in a code and the door slid open. He ran into the room as the door slid shut behind him. "Yun? Yun!?!" he called searching for the Lucario.
Yun dropped down from a tree and ran towards John. "Hello!" he said cheerfully.
John couldn't resist smiling at the pokemon but became serious. "Quick, Yun, you have to come with me." he shook his head at the puzzled look that Yun gave him. He grabbed the pokemon's paw and led him to the door opposite from the one he had come through. He felt like something was prodding against his mind, he shook his head trying to clear away the thought. The persistent prodding did not stop but amplified to where John felt like it demanded his attention.
(John? John!?!) Yun shouted into the fox's mind.
John found out that the pokemon could use telepathy as soon as Yun had told him about it. He turned around and was about to speak when he heard the other security door slide open.
Yun heard the door before John and turned around with a growl in his throat.
John squeezed Yun's paw and ran out of the room with the Lucario in tow.
(John what is happening!?!) Yun shouted with his newfound skill making the fox wince.
John had no idea where he could take the pokemon without drawing any attention. Moments later he heard Ose roaring in the halls.
"SEAL OFF ALL THE EXITS. ARM YOURSELVES THE EXPIERMENT HAS ESCAPED!!"
* * *
John ran as fast as he could. An alarm was sounded and everyone in the facility knew that
Yun had escaped. The fox made his way to the infirmary and ran inside the office with Yun right behind him.
"What's going on he. . .!?!" Sarah began. She spied Yun and her eyes grew round. She ran to one of the phones but was intercepted by John. She gave a furious scream as the fox held her away from the phone.
"SARAH, PLEASE!?!" the fox begged as she struggled against his grasp.
She sighed and stopped her struggles. "Why did you bring that thing in here?!?" she wailed as John let her go.
"Sarah he is a male Lucario, not a thing."
The mouse groaned as she stared at John. "Ose has set this whole place on lockdown until HE is found." She emphasized her point by waving a paw at Yun who was sitting on one of her hospital beds.
"I realize this. But I must get him out of this facility. You have no idea how much he has shown me about his world," John said hardly keeping the wonder out of his voice.
Sarah raised an eyebrow as she stared at the fox. "Then you had better start explaining before I pick up that phone."
John gave a nervous chuckle. "Why don't you ask Yun to show you?"
She looked over at the pokemon who was interested in her medical needles. She gave small cough to get the Lucario's attention and gasped softly when she saw the pokemon's silver eyes. Her gasp turned into a squeak when Yun's eyes changed from silver to gold. (Can he really show me what he showed John?) She questioned.
(I can. But only if you let me.) Yun replied to her question.
Sarah jumped when Yun used his telepathy on her. (Wow. Of course you can show me.) She smiled as Yun's eyes faded back to their silver color.
(Close your eyes please.) Yun got off the medical bed and slowly walked towards the mouse with his paws in front of him.
Sarah was hesitant but let the pokemon touch her head with his paws. They were smooth and felt good against her temples. Without realizing it she had closed her eyes against his touch.
(Now whatever happens you must not move or open your eyes.) With that final warning Yun closed his eyes and projected the memories that he recovered in that week.
* * *
All was quiet in the forest. A soft wind whistled through the trees stirring up some leaves in the foliage.
Sarah looked around the odd place that surrounded her and then looked down at her body. She was surrounded in a blue glow. She jumped when she felt a paw on her arm and looked over and saw Yun staring at her.
"Look," he said without making a sound.
Sarah looked ahead into the forest and saw dark shapes running across the forest floor. She walked forward to get a better look and saw that all the shapes looked a lot like Yun. She turned back to the pokemon and pointed to the figures that were as silent as wraiths as they ran.
"My. . .tribe," Yun said.
The hesitation tugged at Sarah's curiosity. She was about to say something when one of the Lucario stopped and stared directly at her. It felt like his eyes were boring right into her. She looked closer at the Lucario and saw that his eyes were silver. He also carried something strapped across his back. The thing looked like a staff. She turned baack to Yun who nodded his head.
"Yes, that is me."
She turned around and saw that the Yun from the past had his paws on his right side. From a distance it looked like he was cradling something. Her eyes flashed with wonder as she saw trails of light snaking towards his paws. She was completely entranced with what the Lucario was doing when the light condensed into a small orb. She looked behind her to see that Yun had moved from behind her. Where he was standing an excat duplicate of the Yun in front of her stood behind her. Peering closer she caught key differences between the two. Yun had blue and black fur, this stranger behind her had completely black fur.
Yun walked towards the mouse and placed a paw on her arm. He walked away from where she was standing and she followed. She turned around and saw that the orbs of light the two pokemon held had increased in size. Her eyes were locked on the battle, both pokemon flung their orbs at the other. The fatal balls of light sped towards their target's but collided with each other creating a brilliant burst of energy that illuminated the field around them.
The Yun from the past had his teeth bared in defiance of the other. He over his back and grabbed the staff that hung there. gripping it with both paws he slid his right paw over a hidden switch. With a swish of sliding metal and a click of something fitting into place what was a staff was now a scythe. Another sound reached the ears of the spectators. Sarah turned around and saw that the other Lucario was carrying a sword.
Both pokemon charged each other and met with clashed weapons in the exact spot where the burst of energy from their first attacks collided.
Sarah was shaking terribly as she witnessed the battle. She looked at the Yun that was in her world and met his sad gaze.
"I cannot remember why this battle took place. Look" he said pointing in front of her.
Sarah turned around and saw that Yun was at a disadvantage with his opponent.
The Lucario missed a slash with his scythe and whimpered in pain as a long gash made its way from his lower back to his shoulder.
Sarah winced and turned back to the other Yun. He turned around and parted the fur around his lower back. Barely visible but still showing was a faint scar from that same cut.
The mouse turned back to the battle with tears in her eyes and waited for the fighting to stop.
The battle seemed to last for hours until Yun was thrown into a grass clearing. Yun and Sarah walked over to the clearing and watched as the black Lucario began chanting something.
"What is he saying?" Sarah asked.
"I cannot remember." Yun sadly replied.
The black Lucario sheathed his weapon and placed his paws in the air in front of Yun. He began to chant but Sarah couldn't hear anything he was saying. Thinking back on what she was shown there was nothing that could be heard. The whole battle was silent. She turned around and faced Yun. "Why isn't anyone talking?"
"I can't remember what was said during this battle. The only thing I remember was facing that." He pointed briefly illuminating the black Lucario.
Sarah gasped. "But. . .he has no face."
Yun nodded. "Yes. . ."
The faceless one ceased his chanting and swung his paw down towards the ground. Behind the other Yun a portal ripped open bathing the clearing they were in with an extremely bright light. He yelled something before he was sucked through the portal and the black Lucario fell to the ground clutching his chest. Abruptly the scene vanished.
Sarah found herself staring into Yun's face. "Amazing. You really aren't from this world."
Yun nodded his head with a small chuckle. (But now I am in danger. The big one wants to imprison me again.)
Sarah blinked as a picture of black fur ran through her head. "Doctor Ose? But he wouldn't dare imprison someone like you."
John stepped in and placed a paw on Sarah's shoulder. "It's true. I have been visiting Yun while the doctor was unconscious and he has shown me what the doctor thinks of him."
Sarah looked down at the Lucario who was nodding his head at John's words. (It's true. The doctor or so you call him is a horrible being.) He reached up his paws to try and touch Sarah again but she pulled back.
"Won't we be caught if we just sit around like this?" she cast a worried look at one of the windows and saw no one examining the halls.
"The thoughts that Yun projects into your mind only last a few seconds. The guards are not armed yet." John replied. He looked around the infirmary and spotted no where to hide in the room. "But I think it would be best if we could hide somewhere."
Sarah nodded and beckoned to Yun and the fox. "I know where we can go." She turned from the two and walked over to a switch. "If you could move please." She said as she pulled the switch.
Yun stepped back with John as a hole slowly began to form on the spot where they stood. As the both of them watched with wide eyes a small platform rose from out of the hole in the ground.
Sarah jumped on the platform without hesitation. "Come. This will take us down into the caverns where I find my herbs."
John hopped on the platform and beckoned Yun to do the same. "Come on."
Yun shook his head staring at the platform like it would attack him any second. (What is this?) He asked staring at John.
"It will take us somewhere safe. There is absolutely nothing to be afraid of."
Yun wasn't sure, (But it rose from the ground . . . are you sure it is safe?) he asked again taking a tentative step onto the platform.
Sarah had to hide a smile. Here was this warrior from a different world and he was afraid of a simple platform.
"You will be fine. . ." John assured the Lucario as Sarah pressed one of the buttons for the device making the platform slowly descend to the lower levels of the lab.
Yun clung to the fox as darkness began to creep over the three of them as they descended.

Ose roared in fury as another guard returned to him saying that they hadn't found the missing pokemon. The unfortunate cat in front of him had to take his onslaught of insults he yelled as he stormed out of the room.
The feline sighed happily realizing he was one of the lucky ones who didn't feel the panther's claws.Chapter End Notes:heh. . .hope ya like it
