Chapter 16 - I Love Lucky
For the next couple of weeks Wolf had organised a training regime that had the team training for six hours a day in two shifts each week day while taking the whole weekend off. The first day had proven to be a success, although after that Wolf had unofficially scrapped the idea. He instead decided to train whenever they felt like it, usually in sessions that never lasted more than two hours or went over one session a day. Whether it was his confidence in their strength, his own laidback nature or just how much he loved them wasn't clear, although it lent a nice, easy feeling to them during the approach of the Sinnoh league.
With only two weeks to go before the Sinnoh league began in earnest, Wolf decided that the time to leave Sunyshore had come. So it was that Wolf and Lucky entered the stadium that also served as the pokemon centre one afternoon, Lucky cradling their egg in her arms while Wolf guided her with one hand comfortingly on her back. For the past two weeks Lucky had barely let anyone but Wolf even touch the egg, let alone hold it. Wolf had been quite understanding about her behaviour, even supporting it if the need arose. Amidst the general noise of all those who had turned up early to get their rooms or to support relatives who were competing Wolf and Lucky approached the front counter, surprised that Nurse Joy wasn't busy at that moment.
"Hi Wolf!" she greeted him, a noticeable amount of enthusiasm in her voice. He put it down to her having followed some of his earlier battles and being a fan. "How can I help you today?"
"I'm just looking to get my room for the league." He responded, smiling back at her. Rooms were always set aside for the league contestants after registration, giving them peace of mind for when the time came for the league to get underway. Competition for the other rooms was fierce to say the least.
"Hang on just one second..." Joy replied, bringing up some screens to find Wolf's registration details and the room that was to be set aside for him. She typed away for a few seconds, a frown crossing her features as she saw that he was already booked into a room with another person. "Looks like you've got a guest already." Wolf rolled his eyes at this, sighing in resignation. The same thing had happened during the Johto league, and while he had been able to convince the three girls to leave the room for another one, the situation shouldn't have come up in the first place.
"I see." he said, grimacing. He wasn't looking forward to dealing with more squealing fangirls in an uphill struggle to get a private room. "Could you tell me who it is?"
"Why don't you ask her?" a bemused voice came from behind him. Wolf and Lucky jumped at the sudden speech, turning to find a familiar face smiling back at him. It was a girl only just shorter than him, red hair pulled up into an impressive cross behind her head. She wore a black midriff top decorated with a flame icon as well as jeans that showed off her lithe legs nicely. Wolf grinned back as he recognised his best friend, Lucky wagging her tail as well.
"Flannery!" he said, happy that she had turned up to see him compete. Lucky beamed, glad that Wolf could count on the support of his best friend. Wolf had told her about how they had met in preschool and had been friends ever since, and how that they supported each other in pretty much anything. She wondered if Flannery would be able to accept her relationship with Wolf, although they had met many times and Lucky found it difficult to picture the Lavaridge gym leader being anything less than glad Wolf had found love.
She watched as they hugged, her paw instinctively tightening a little at the sight. She quickly caught herself, partially ashamed that she had reacted that way. After all, they were just friends. Why should she be jealous of her? True, she had been pretty angry when he had received the text message from Gardenia, but she didn't know that woman. Flannery was one of her friends as well as her boyfriends friend. There's nothing wrong with them hugging. she told herself, hoping that she wouldn't do anything to embarrass Wolf. After a moment they broke apart, both ecstatic to see the other.
"So, how've ya been?" she asked him. Wolf shrugged.
"Pretty damn good to say the least." He replied, casually thanking Joy for her time as the trio walked over to a vacant lounge. Wolf flopped down in the middle while the girls slid in either side of him, Lucky shifting her arms to accommodate the egg. Flannery noticed the movement, eyes lighting up as she realised that it must be her child.
"Lucky, you're going to have a baby?" she asked excitedly, shuffling over on her knees to get a closer look. Lucky blushed, smiling.
"Yes, it's ours." She said, momentarily forgetting that the girl didn't know about her and Wolf. The Lucario was on the verge of saying more but a quick glance from her boyfriend kept her silent. Flannery looked puzzled.
"Ours?" she asked. "So you know the father pretty well?" Lucky rolled her eyes good naturedly.
"I should hope so." She replied. The girl grinned awkwardly, realising what she'd said. Flannery retreated to her part of the lounge, one arm flopping over the back while she crossed her legs loosely.
"I take it Hoenn's finished for the year then?" Wolf asked, trying to get the conversation away from the awkward place it had been heading. Some trainers were a little slower than the rest, frantically scrambling to get the last few badges before the league began. It would be the only way that Flannery would have been able to visit them.
"Yeah." She said, stretching a little. "I managed to talk Winona into lending one of her birds to me so that I could get here in time to see you." She grinned again, flicking a stray strand of hair away from her face. Wolf kept his smile, although a nagging feeling about the look she was giving him had lodged itself in the back of his mind, promising knowledge but at the same time not offering any. He was quickly snapped out of his thoughts though, as another gym leader made her presence known.
"Well, well, well." came a somewhat bemused voice from behind them. All three of the lounge's occupants turned to look at the newcomer, finding it to be Gardenia. "If it isn't my favourite contender for the Sinnoh league." She smiled suggestively at Wolf, earning a puzzled look from Flannery and an annoyed one from Lucky.
"Uh, hi Gardenia." Wolf said, looking suddenly uncomfortable. He glanced anxiously at Lucky, hoping his girlfriend wouldn't do anything rash. He would have found the Eterna gym leader quite attractive had she not had such a domineering personality, along with his feelings for Lucky.
"So, this must be your jealous girlfriend." She went on, not giving Wolf a chance to say more. Panic asserted itself on his face until he realised that it was Flannery, not Lucky, that Gardenia was referring to. Lucky scowled at her, clutching their egg to her chest even as Flannery looked defiantly back. She had seen the swift look of alarm on his face and had decided to play along.
"Yeah, that's right. What's it to you?" she asked, holding her voice steady and herself upright. For a tense moment no one spoke, until finally Gardenia shrugged, her mouth twisting into a lazy smirk.
"Whatever." She said. "I dunno what Wolf sees in you." Before any of them could say anything more, Gardenia turned her back on them, giving Wolf one last lustful look over her shoulder. "Wolf," she began. "When you get bored of her, give me a call." Winking, she ignored the low growl issuing from Lucky's throat as she swaggered away. Once she was gone, Lucky began to vent.
"Oooooh!" she snapped angrily while Wolf sagged with relief that the exchange had passed without incident. "That woman! I hope she gets what's coming to her!" Wolf laid a comforting hand around the Lucario's shoulders, even while turning to his quick witted friend.
"Thanks for playing along." He sighed, smiling. Flannery didn't smile back, looking merely curious.
"So Wolf..." she said. "Do you have a girlfriend?" He paused, glancing around and noting that even with all the noise someone could probably still hear them.
"Well, yeah." He offered, still wondering just how much he could tell her now. Still absorbed in his own thoughts on the subject, he failed to notice the flicker of disappointment that crossed her face.
"You do?" she asked, careful to keep her voice neutral. "What's her name?"
"Her name?" he stammered out. He hadn't given a second's thought as to how he could turn such a question aside. "Lu... uh... Lucy?"
"Lucy, huh?" she echoed, even while Lucky shot her boyfriend a bemused smile. "She's lucky to have you, you know." Wolf choked as Flannery spoke, Lucky quickly patting him on the back as though it wasn't related to the moment.
"You should probably get a drink of water and lie down for a while Wolf." She offered, trying to explain the moment in a way that didn't arouse the girl's suspicion. He nodded, hand still over his mouth. As he wandered off towards their room, Flannery got up and headed for the door. Lucky could see in her aura that something was bothering her, following her outside.
***
Lucky found Flannery seated under a tree a few hundred metres away from the centre, holding her legs to her chest. Her chin was resting on her knees, and her eyes seemed unfocussed, thoughts a great distance away from the Sinnoh league. Not wanting to disturb her, Lucky approached her slowly across the grass, keeping a firm yet gentle grip on her egg. Once she was just a few metres away from her, Flannery looked over. She offered the pokemon a weak smile, although Lucky could see the silent tears that had run down her face. Aware of the moisture on her cheeks, she quickly wiped her face on her sleeve, hoping Lucky hadn't noticed that she had been crying.
"Flannery, what's wrong?" she asked gently, kneeling next to the gym leader. She hiccoughed quietly, knowing that she hadn't fooled the Lucario for one second. She tried to speak for a few moments, finally managing to get the words out.
"I thought..." she began, Lucky remaining quiet so the girl could speak. "I thought that now was the time. I thought that he might feel the same way that I do."
"The same way?" she echoed, wondering if the conversation was heading the way she thought it was. Flannery nodded, resting her head back on her knees.
"It's been like this for a few years now." She explained. "I don't know the last time I've had more than three hours sleep in a single night. I can't stop thinking about Wolf." A single tear fell along her cheek again, and Lucky started as she recognised the description. She had been exactly the same way during the long year of the Johto league, virtually unable to sleep soundly alongside the person she loved so deeply. Lucky laid a comforting paw on her shoulder, trying desperately to drive out the jealous thoughts. They may have gone through the same thing, but Flannery had been suffering much longer than she had. She felt guilty that Flannery had never had the chance she had had, as though she had not only denied her, but Wolf as well. Lucky sighed in resignation as Flannery buried her face into her knees, clutching at her legs tighter. Lucky looked around nervously, checking that no one was within earshot.
"Is he happy?" the gym leader asked suddenly. Lucky looked back at her, running through her memories of the past year. She tried to find a memory where Wolf had been less than happy to be with her, her search unsuccessful.
"Yes." She replied. Flannery looked up at the Lucario, a sad smile on her face.
"I... I'm glad." She said. "All I want is for Wolf to be happy." Lucky shifted uncomfortably, her guilt returning.
"There's something you need to know about Wolf's girlfriend." She said abruptly. Flannery looked at her, curiosity appearing on her tear streaked features. "But you have to promise not to tell Wolf that I told you. He'll be really mad at me if he finds out." The Lavaridge gym leader nodded, merely waiting for Lucky to elaborate. Lucky took a deep breath, readying herself to commit to the path she had taken.
***
"So Wolf, I see you slept in again."
It may have come from his best friend, but that didn't lessen the sadness that the sixteen year old teenager felt as he laid on the soft, ashen earth outside the Lavaridge City gym. Flannery grinned at him from behind her fringe to show she was only kidding, although Wolf paid scant notice to her expression and the look quickly faded. He merely watched the clouds pass, dwelling on the fact that he had once again slept in on the day he was supposed to receive his first pokemon. It was almost insulting that he had done so for the sixth year, almost like fate was conspiring to keep him miserable. Flannery had been given a pokemon a couple of years ago, a young Torkoal, and Wolf couldn't help but feel jealous that his best friend had a pokemon while he didn't.
"My dad offered to catch me a pokemon again." He said suddenly, breaking his silence for the first time since arriving in Lavaridge that morning. Flannery looked at him, keeping quiet and allowing him to continue. "It's not like I don't appreciate him offering, but I don't think he'd catch the right one for me. I know I'll find the right pokemon." For a long moment neither of them spoke, Wolf lying with his arms folded under his messy hair and Flannery stretched out next to him. Anyone else looking at the scene would mistake best friends for boyfriend and girlfriend, although the area was quiet for the day.
"So, what happened this morning that kept you from getting up in time?" she asked, rolling over to face him. He sighed, propping himself up on his elbows as he faced his friend of ten years.
"Get this." He started, rolling his eyes. "When I finally woke up this morning I looked at the alarm clock, and there was a Magnemite sleeping on it. The bloody thing was throwing the clock out of whack with some kind of electrical wave."
"A Magnemite?" she echoed, raising an eyebrow. "That's one hell of a thing to have happen. Magnemite aren't even native to Fortree are they?" Wolf grimaced, his annoyance at the pokemon not having subsided over the entire morning.
"Yeah, my parents said they moved into that old power plant in Mauville. Who knows why it came all the way to Fortree." The pair fell silent again, Flannery looking intently at Wolf.
"Y'know Wolf..." she began tentatively. "If you want to stay in Lavaridge for a few days, you're welcome to. I mean, just if you want to get away from home for a while. It might help you to clear your head." He said nothing, unable to guess that his friend had ulterior motives for getting him to stay.
"I don't know." He replied, still watching the sky. He didn't see the look of disappointment cross her features, nor the slight hurt in her eyes. "It sounds good, but I think my parents are planning some kind of trip for us." Both of them stayed silent for another minute before Flannery closed the gap, wrapping her arms around him.
"I care for you, Wolf." She said. "I don't like seeing you sad." He looked down at her, giving her a reassuring smile.
"I like you too, Flannery." He said, trying to project a happiness he didn't truly feel. "I think next year will be different. I'll definitely get a pokemon next year." He smiled, hugging her goodbye before he got up to leave. Flannery watched him go with some despair, trying to keep herself composed.
"Wolf!" she cried out to the empty field. "I want to be yours!"
***
"Flannery?"
The girl abruptly looked up, shocked out of her own thoughts. Wolf was looking at her curiously over what was left of his dinner, and she realised that she's been so lost in the memory that her own plate had hardly been touched. Lucky had insisted on a table outside for the night, something that had everyone enjoying the starry sky and full moon, completely unobscured by any clouds. No breeze stirred, although the temperature was comfortable enough, keeping everyone nice and relaxed.
"Something bothering you?" he asked her, and she knew that he was worried about her. Shaking her head to clear it, she fixed a smile on her face. It was difficult, knowing what Lucky had revealed to her about her best friend.
"No!" she answered, only just registering the high pitch and suddenness in her exclamation. "I mean, no, I'm alright." Wolf frowned at her for a second before shrugging, casting his gaze over the assembled pokemon, both his and Flannery's. They were all chatting happily with one another, enjoying the chance to catch up. He smiled at the sight, even as she kept alternating her own gaze between him and Lucky. The Lucario had sworn on her child that what she had told the girl was true, and that was a promise she knew wasn't made lightly. It still shocked her that they were a couple, so much so that when Wolf announced that it was time for bed that he had to shake her gently to get her to focus.
Once all the pokemon were returned to their poke balls, the trio headed back to their room. Wolf and Lucky lead the way, the trainer with one arm supporting the pokemon. Even as she watched, it became apparent that these small gestures were as much out of love as they were out of support. It warmed her heart to see Wolf care for her needs, but at the same time she couldn't help but feel jealous of Lucky.
Wolf opened the door of their shared room, standing to one side and gesturing for the ladies to precede him into the room. Lucky acknowledged Wolf's gentlemanly gesture with a nod and a wink, Flannery still lost in thought. Wolf closed the door after himself and locked it, moving to stand in front of his seemingly bewildered friend while Lucky went straight to the bedroom.
"Seriously Flannery, what's up?" he asked, failing to keep all of the irritation out of his voice. "You've been zoned out all afternoon. Something's bothering you, so why not tell me what it is?" She stared at him for a moment, debating with herself as to how she was going to approach the subject. Finally, she sighed.
"Wolf," she began. "I know."
"Know what?" he asked, raising one eyebrow. She looked down, hoping she could still keep her promise to Lucky.
"I know about you and Lucky." She stated, her tone final. She watched as his eyes grew wide and his mouth hung open slightly. It was on his mind to deny the implied relationship he had with Lucky, or at least feign incomprehension of her words to buy himself more time to come up with a suitable story. In the end, his own good nature prevented him from lying to her in any way.
"How... how did you find out?" he asked finally. She shrugged.
"That's not important." She replied, carefully avoiding the question by shifting the focus back onto Wolf's relationship with Lucky. It worked, Wolf sighing and moving to look out the window, both hands on the frame.
"No one can tell you who to love." He said. "I just happened to fall in love with a pokemon. Frankly, I don't see anything wrong with that." She moved to stand next to him, gazing over the gently swaying trees at the glowing stars.
"Wolf, it doesn't bother me in the least." She said. "I'm happy that you found love, although I wonder why you never told me. I am your best friend, after all." He looked down, feeling bad for not having trusted her with his secret.
"I wasn't sure how you were going to take it." He admitted. "I was hoping to ease you into the idea. It's not exactly something you admit to every day." She nodded silently, acknowledging his point. She couldn't honestly say she wouldn't have acted in the same way. They stood in silence for a few minutes, eyes roving the moonlit sky outside.
"There's something else I have to tell you." Flannery said. Wolf said nothing, although he looked at her and gestured for her to continue. "It's hard to say, but all I know is that I have to tell you." The bedroom door opened quietly, a red eye watching the proceedings. Lucky knew that she was about to reveal her own feelings for her boyfriend, although it didn't seem to bother her in the least.
"Wolf... she began, trying not to let the words choke her. "I'm in love with you." He said nothing, merely holding her while she sobbed into his shoulder. Lucky could see the tears sliding down her cheeks, a pang of hurt shooting through her. It wasn't fair to Flannery that she couldn't have Wolf, especially since she had been in love with him for so long. A voice in Lucky's head tried to silence her guilt, telling her that it was the girl's bad luck that she hadn't made her move sooner, that she only had herself to blame. A stronger voice told Lucky what she had to do to help. Quietly, she pushed the door open fully and approached the pair slowly, keeping a firm hold on her egg.
"I heard what you said." She said. Wolf and Flannery turned to face Lucky, the girl's eyes red from crying and the boy's eyes were showing curiosity. "If you love him, I'm sure he would do anything for you." Lucky chose her words carefully, hoping that they would reflect her trying to resolve the situation and not just how much she knew about it. Wolf looked at Lucky for a few seconds, wondering if what she said meant what he thought it did. Slowly, he turned his gaze back to Flannery, seeing the hopeful look in her eyes.
"Lucky?" he asked, watching as the Lucario gave him a barely perceptible nod. He saw Flannery's own face brighten at Lucky's unspoken permission, smiling at his long time friend. She pushed against his hold, and he released her.
"Well," she said, an embarrassed smile on her lips. "I guess I'd better go and get ready." He watched as she departed for the bedroom, closing the door behind her. Wolf stared at it for a couple of seconds before turning to Lucky, placing one arm around her shoulders and guiding her to the lounge. He helped her into the seat before sitting down next to her.
"Lucky, are you really okay with this?" he asked, still a little amazed at her. "It's just that you were really upset when Gardenia se-"
"That was different." She interjected. "Flannery is as much my friend as she is yours, and I trust her not to try and steal you from me." He grinned, planting a kiss on her forehead.
"Don't be too jealous Lucky." He laughed. "It'll go straight to my head." She giggled, shoving him lightly with one paw. Once they had calmed down she placed her paw into his hand, using his own tender grip to lift him out of his seat.
"Go." She said softly. "Make her feel as happy as you make me." With a final look of gratitude to his girlfriend, Wolf headed for the bedroom. When he opened the door, he found the room had been softly lit by several candles. The way the shadows flickered held a romantic ethereal feeling to the room, one which made Wolf feel quite relaxed. As he marvelled at the touch she had placed, the door to the bathroom slid open and Flannery emerged. Gone were her t-shirt and her jeans, along with her usual cheery attitude. She stood in the doorway, clad in nothing more than a lacy black bra and matching briefs, nervousness radiating from her like a wave.
She kept her eyes on the ground as he approached, not shifting them until he cupped her chin in one hand lifting her eyes to look into his own while his other hand found one of hers. She looked up to find a reassuring smile on his face, his eyes looking into her own. Her nervous feeling was scattered by those dark green eyes, eyes she had found handsome even before she had fallen in love with him.
"Don't worry Flannery." He murmured, leaning in with a deliberate slowness. She knew that he was giving her time to change her mind, to be sure this was what she wanted. She did nothing, staying perfectly still until she felt his lips caressing her own, blossoming into a loving kiss. Her heart was beating against her chest so hard that she thought it would burst out. Wolf, her love, was actually kissing her! It was a moment she had been waiting for so long, all the things she had rehearsed in her head for that perfect moment simply disappeared as her remaining hand wrapped itself around his neck, pressing his lips right against hers in a welcoming embrace. For a long moment they shared the one kiss, stopping only when the need for air drove them apart. Wolf watched as Flannery brushed one finger over her lips, smiling at her as she looked astounded.
"That... that was my first kiss." She mumbled, looking back into his face, her cheeks red. He smiled gently, sliding one arm around her back and one under her knees to pick her up. He carried her over to one of the single beds, laying her down on the sheets. She watched as he began to remove his own clothes, peeling his shirt off and allowing it to drop to the ground. He slid his shoes off and kicked them off across the room, working on his belt even before they rolled to a stop. She watched in fascination as he removed his jeans, leaving nothing but his black boxers on. Casting an appreciating eye over his body, she kept still as he lowered himself to lie next to her, running one hand along her waist.
"I promise I'll be gentle." He whispered. She smiled at him lovingly, putting one hand on the back of his head and guiding him towards her mouth again, his body scooting closer along the covers to rest against her own. Even as they kissed, she could feel him hardening against her hips, the sudden realisation of just what part of him was doing that causing her to break off the kiss. He gazed at her questioningly, until he realised just what her discomfort in the situation was.
"Flannery," he said. "If you want to stop, we can."
"No!" she half shouted, before she got control of her voice again. "I mean, no. It's okay. It's just that..." she stopped, feeling ashamed to admit something like this to her friend.
"It's okay if you're still a virgin." He murmured, nuzzling her cheek. "There's nothing wrong with waiting until you're ready." She could hear the sincerity in his voice, but the fact that he kept offering her chances to call it off was infuriating.
"I am ready." She replied stubbornly. "Wolf, this is what I want. I love you, and I want to do this." Convinced, he nuzzled her again, brushing his cheek against her own. He was rewarded with a faint gasp, the movements sending faint shivers through both of them. He withdrew a short distance before bringing his lips to her own again, his other hand running along her waist before moving to rest on the small of her back. He lightly rubbed his hand along her spine, hearing some muffled moans through the kiss. Emboldened, he kept his hand moving until it reached the clasp of her bra. Flannery felt the movement, rolling onto her side so that Wolf could undo the bra. He fumbled with it as she kissed his cheek, finally getting it undone. Even as he slid the bra off, Flannery moved one arm to cover herself in a sudden fit of shyness. Wolf gazed at her, a slightly mocking expression on his face.
"Well, that's counter productive." He said, as though he were merely commenting about the weather. She giggled, tapping his nose with her remaining hand.
"You're not making this any easier." She replied, not moving her arm. Slowly Wolf began to run his hand along her side, rolling her onto her back as he did so. She gazed at him, clutching at herself while she still wasn't used to the idea of someone, even Wolf, touching her so intimately. Inwardly she cursed her shyness. No matter how many times she had daydreamt about it, the real thing was almost too good to keep her thoughts composed.
Wolf could sense her unease, understanding that this was a special moment for her. He leaned in and kissed her again, trying to put her mind at ease. As their lips met again, he could feel some of her doubts lifting, her body relaxing in concert with her fears being put to rest. He placed one hand on her shoulder and rested the other behind her neck to support her head. Wolf gently tugged at her arm, allowing Flannery to come to terms with the moment without being too dominant. She relented, allowing him to lift her arm away from her breasts.
Wolf withdrew a short distance, allowing himself to enjoy the view of her chest. Vastly different from what he was used to, Flannery was quite well endowed in comparison to his own girls, prompting him to prop himself up so that he could massage both of them from his own awkward position. Flannery giggled at the expression he had unwittingly taken, like that of a child with the perfect Christmas present.
"Oh, stop it." He mock scolded her while she continued laughing. "None of my girls are this... well, big." Flannery frowned at the statement.
"You've been with all of the others?" she asked. He looked at her, seeing that he was going to have to answer this now.
"Well, Lucky's my girlfriend." He started, wanting to give the shortest explanation possible. "The other girls are casual relationships." He could see the suspicious look in her eye, sighing. "If you really want, you can ask them."
"It's not that." She hastily replied, trying to salvage the moment. "I mean, being with one pokemon is one thing, but hearing that..." Wolf nodded in response, understanding her angle. To ease them both back into the moment he wrapped his arms around her torso and kissed her once more, ensuring that both of them forgot the momentary awkwardness brought on by the knowledge of what Wolf did in his free time with his pokemon. Soon all either of them could think about was his lips as they made their way from her mouth down her chin and neck, tender kisses drawing a path from her kiss swollen lips and down along her cleavage, only stopping when they made contact with her lacy briefs. The girl gasped in delight as his hands ran back and forth along the length of her thighs, finally reaching her hips and taking either side of her underwear in his hands.
Flannery gasped again, this time out of shock, as Wolf slid the small scrap of fabric down her legs and cast it to the floor, exposing her most private area. He leaned in and ran his tongue along the soft edges of her pussy, causing her to whimper in pleasure as his tongue brushed against the sensitive nerves. She fought the urge to place both hands on the back of his head and push him as close as possible, hoping her more basic instincts could still be controlled. With some effort, she brought his head up to look her in the eye.
"Now." She breathed, letting one hand caress his cheek. He nodded, getting to his knees and grabbing the sides of his boxers. Already poking out due to his excitement, Wolf pulled the front of his boxers out in order to slide them over his erection, tactfully not allowing any sort of smirk appear on his face as she gasped at the sight. Once his boxers were off he got on all fours and positioned himself above her, reaching down to steady himself. It was then that he noticed Flannery was covering herself with one hand.
"Wolf, aren't you forgetting something?" she asked, a note of amusement creeping into her voice. He frowned down at her, puzzled at the question. Sighing to herself, she used her free hand to rummage around in the bedside table drawer and pull out a small foil package, holding it up for him to see with both eyebrows raised. He stared at it for a few seconds before he realised what it was.
"Oh, right." He muttered to himself sheepishly. He took the condom from her, quickly putting it on after a glance at the instructions. He may have been quite experienced with girls by that time, but he had never had use for a condom before tonight. Once he was finished with it, she moved her hand away, allowing it to loosely hang around his neck with the other. She brought him in for one final kiss, trying to keep herself relaxed as Wolf entered her. She let out a small squeak of pain as he put the entire length in, hoping that he wouldn't feel like he was hurting her. He felt a twinge of guilt at her pain, staying perfectly still so that she could get used to the feeling of him inside her. After a moment, Flannery opened her eyes to look up at him.
"Okay..." she murmured. "I'm okay..." He nodded, bringing himself out slowly before sliding back in smoothly, feeling better as she moaned in pleasure rather than pain. For her, it was one of the best things she had ever experienced. For all the nights she had spent alone in her room, fingers experiencing herself while she thought only of Wolf, it could never compare to the real thing. There was no other way of describing the situation for her that would be less than bliss.
She smiled up at him, her breath coming in short gasps as he slid his length into her at a comfortable pace. Wolf smiled back while continuing with his motions, wanting nothing more than to satisfy his long time friend. He leaned in and kissed her again, only lingering a short time to allow them both to keep drawing enough breath. Arms already hanging loosely around his neck, Flannery allowed her legs to snake around his waist, keeping him locked in place as close to her as possible. Her long standing rapport with him allowed her to find his rhythm with ease and respond in kind, moving her own hips to coincide with each wonderful thrust of his manhood into her. He was surprised to hear her murmuring his name under her breath, quickening his movements while allowing her to keep the tempo.
Soon enough, he could sense that she was close to her climax. He thrust even faster into her, his tip brushing against her sensitive insides as deep as he could reach, any and all sound coming from her reduced to nothing more than incoherent howls of pure ecstasy. What he wasn't prepared for was when she rolled them both over, quickly unlinking her legs and taking control of the movements until she voiced one final scream of pleasure, her body going rigid as her insides clamped down on him, sending waves of euphoria coursing through both of them. Without warning she slid off of him, quickly removing the condom as she moved down along the bed. He barely had time to ask what she was doing when she grasped the base of his penis in one hand, taking the rest into her warm, wet mouth. He groaned as she began to suck hard on him, crying out as he ejaculated down her throat, the girl licking him clean and swallowing every last drop. Spent, he collapsed back onto the pillows while she climbed up to lie next to him, draping herself across his chest. They stayed there for a few minutes, taking the time to rest up after their lovemaking. Finally she looked up at him, her face showing nothing less than love for him. He smiled back while one hand played with her hair, glad that he could help Flannery experience something so wonderful.
"Whoa..." she whispered, unable to resist putting an idiot grin on her face. "That explains why Lucky looks so happy." Wolf let out a short laugh, letting the hand that had been running through her hair slide back around her delicate shoulders.
"I'll be sure to tell her that you appreciate her allowing this." He murmured back, his eyes showing her that he meant that in a nice way. As they both drifted off to sleep, Flannery uttered one last thought.
"Thank you, Wolf..."
***
Wolf awoke the next morning, sunlight bathing the room in a golden glow. For a minute he wondered were Lucky was until the events of the previous night came back to him, a smile asserting itself on his face. Happy that Flannery was happy, he quickly found his boxers and made to leave the room, figuring that the girl's absence meant she was getting something to eat.
Once he left the room he saw both Lucky and Flannery sitting on the lounge. Flannery had donned her black underwear again, her hair let down and was talking with Lucky, who looked nothing less than pleased for the girl. Once he approached they both turned to acknowledge his presence, both smiling at him.
"It sounds like you did alright for yourself last night Wolf." Lucky said, no trace of jealousy in her voice or her eyes. He leaned down to kiss her, the familiar movement causing no discomfort in any present. He gave Flannery a quick kiss as well, not wanting her to feel used in last nights activities, before sitting down next to Lucky.
"Hey Lucky," he began, putting one arm around her shoulders, locking her in place. "You wouldn't happen to know how Flannery found out about us, would you?" The Lucario shifted uncomfortably, keeping her gaze away from Wolf's own. Flannery turned away, looking like a scolded child. Wolf nuzzled Lucky, not wanting her to feel like she was in trouble.
"Look," he said. "I don't mind that you told her." She looked up at him, wonder in her gaze. "But I need you to promise not to tell my parents. I don't think they'll be as understanding." She nodded quietly, Wolf holding her close to try and stop her feeling too guilty. He smiled at the girls, both of which he loved, happy that he could love them both. Suddenly both girls began to giggle, looking to Wolf like he was intruding on some private joke.
"Well, does that mean we can split him down the middle?" Flannery asked between fits of laughter. Lucky grinned back.
"You get one half and I get one?" she responded, unable to stop laughing at the image that had just implanted itself into her mind. "Probably not. But that doesn't mean we can't share him, in a way."
"So," the gym leader began. "You mean like telling everyone he's my boyfriend so that he doesn't get hit on, letting you guys have your relationship while I get some benefits too?" Lucky shoved Wolf when she saw a smug look on his face at the mention of the idea, ensuring that the trio entered the day in high spirits.
