Story Notes:
This is a long story with fairly short chapters.
Chapter 1
The sun rose over the horizon as a new day began. Pokemon everywhere awoke to begin their days, this story however focuses on a certain pokemon known as Latios.
Latios's eyes slid open and he lifted from the hard rock floor of his cave. He only stretched a little than floated over to the entrance. "Looks like today is going to be as routine as usual, collecting berries and water, head to the hidden Poke' Mart and buy a couple things, then head right back." He looked around and saw a little yellow light flashing. Latios hovered over to the light and it turned out to be a small coin reflecting the suns light. Latios reached down to pick it up but heard a noise from the side and looked to see nothing. The moment his claw came in contact with the coin, an electrical current shot through his body. Startled, he jumped back and fell into an electrical net. Two people came around from behind rocks and shot more electrical nets. After five he was unconscious.
Latios awoke hours later in a daze, he felt uncomfortable and attempted to fix his position but found he couldn't move anything but his head. He looked around and at the metal bonds in which held him and found he was in some type of lab. Directly in front of him was a window, and standing behind that window was a man in a white lab coat, dark blonde hair, and pale white skin. The man looked to be in his near thirties, and he was smiling.
"Looks like your finally awake Latios, and in good time to see what I've prepared for you." The man walked around the glass rectangular container that held Latios. "First let me introduce myself, I am Dr. Victor. Soon, Latios, I shall transform you into something more than just a normal pokemon."
"Let me go you psycho" Latios yelled in vain, Dr. Victor couldn't understand him if he tried, all it sounded like to him was a bunch of random squeals and screams. Victor walked up to a computer station and keyed in a couple things.
"Let's not waste time, I can't have you escaping now can I? Regrettable though, in the process you will die, but not to worry, a new consciousness will replace yours." Latios's expression turned fearful and he began bargaining in squeals and chirps. In the flip of a switch and a bright red light, Latios fell into darkness.
"Hello?" Latios called out, "Is anybody there!?" He received nothingness as a reply. He looked around in fear, but saw nothing but black. Latios, wanting to escape, floated around for a minute. He had a strange, claustrophobic feeling, eventually he could no longer stand the empty enclosure and took of at full speed. He would have broken the sound barrier if there was one to break. For hours upon hours he searched but found more of nothing, after seven hours he gave up looking, an hour after that he gave up on everything. Latios lay on the ground, thinking, he closed his eyes and drifted off into a darkness he was more accustomed with, the darkness of dreams.
Latios woke sometime later, he was surprised by what he saw. He was home, but not the kind of home he would have expected. Latios was in a garden, the very same luscious green garden he had grown up in. He hovered of the ground and began to look around, he found a nest made out of leaves and saw something blue move inside. He hovered over to check it out and saw a newborn Latios all by itself. After a moment he could finally notice that this was him, and with that, he fell back into the realization that he was no longer part of the world that this baby was born into. At this moment of realization he noticed that he was transparent to himself and most likely invisible to others.
While floating there, thinking, he heard a noise and looked to see a metal door slide open. He felt his body go cold and the world fall away as he saw the figure walk into the room. He could never forget the last thing he saw, that blonde hair, those reddish brown eyes, and that pale face. Dr. Victor walked up to him and Latios went to bite his neck but fell through him. Victor looked at the child in the nest and smiled.
"Your mother and father may have been dialed experiments, but with their deaths, you will not be." He pulled out a bottle and fed the little Latios.
Upon hearing this Latios tried to use a psychic attack, but nothing happened. Latios could do nothing but watch as this evil man raised him to be killed, and he did. He watched himself up to the age of three.
The three year old Latios woke up yawning, he floated up out of his nest and flew around the garden that he thought he had been alone in all his life. He picked a couple berries and ate them for breakfast. Only after he ate did he notice something strange, an unusual feeling of somebody being there. He went through his day as normal, bathing in the pond after eating, doing his daily stretches, and training his psychic abilities at noon. When noon came around, he came down to the ground and began meditating, he could hear something though, a strange voice in the back of his head telling him to run, to escape to freedom. "Why would I do that?" He replied, "I have a good life here."
"Wait, you can hear me?"
"I guess so. Who are you?"
"Me? I'm...uh...a...n..other Latios. That doesn't really matter now, you have to get out of here or else your going to die."
"Die!? What!?"
"Listen to me, a man is coming here right now to get you, you have to escape."
"How can I escape?"
"The man would never have expected me to help you."
"Just guide me through it, I'll do whatever you tell me mister." Latios opened his eyes and listened to the instructions in his head. He found a vent and used a weak psychic attack to pull it off, he then flew into the vent. Following the directions of his future self, he found the vent that led outside and without hesitation used psychic to blow it of it's hinges. He then flew out to freedom.
