An Unexpected Evolution
A few weeks later. Ash and his friends had stopped and set up camp near a river. Ash and Marina sat next to each other as they watched Team Aqua's Pokémon swimming in the river. "This is really peaceful here." Ash said. "Yeah. I remember months ago when you saved me from bleeding to death." Marina said as she looked at Ash. Ash looked at the Buizel he fell in love with. "Yeah, but at least I got to you in time." Ash said. "Yeah." Marina said with a smile.
In a spot further up the river in a deeper part of it. Jessie, James and Meowth were waiting in a new machine. "I hope this new machine can help us capturing the Twerp's Pokémon." James said. "First we are going to capture that Eevee." Jessie said. "But why?" James asked. "Because the Eevee will be used in an experiment" Jessie said. "Why's that?" James asked. "Because the last Eevee Team Rocket had escaped somehow." Jessie said. "Say, wasn't that other Eevee experimented on so it could change into its evolved forms at will?" Meowth asked. "Yes. It was going to help our alien allies in powering up a weapon of some sort." Jessie said. "We might as get this over and done with." Meowth said.
Ash and his group had all gathered around for lunch. Ash's and Marina's mouths watered as they waited for Brock's cooking. Pikachu, Brock and Dawn chuckled a bit at Ash and Marina's expressions. Eevee jumped up and ran toward them before a metal arm grabbed her. Ash turned at the sound of Eevee just in time to see a tank-like vehicle come from the river. A metal arm attached to it had Eevee in it who was struggling to get free. "Hey, look at what we found from the Twerp's bag. A Thunder Stone!" Meowth's voice was heard.
"Darn it! Give me back Eevee!" Ash shouted. "Never." Jessie said. "Fine. Pikachu, Marina and Absol, get ready for battle!" Ash ordered. "Well Twerp, you think your Pokémon can beat us this time?" James asked. "Of course." Ash said as Dawn, Brock and Tabitha got ready for battle. "James, activate the switch." Jessie said. "Okay." James replied as the three Team Rocket members appeared. The machine then began to change form. Various parts of the vehicle's body began to shift place as legs appeared, causing it to stand up. Arms appeared as the vehicle continued to change. As soon as the head appeared the vehicle was now a robot. The Team Rocket members disappeared inside the mech. Two glass boxes appeared as a bit of metal slid away to reveal Eevee in one and the Thunder Stone in the other.
"Pikachu, use Thunder now! Absol, Razor Wind! Marina, Sonic Boom!" Ash said. Nodding and knowing what part to hit, they used their attacks in unison. But the robot's arm came up and blocked the attacks. "Nice try, but you'll have to do better than that." Jessie mocked. "Turtwig, Aipom, Staraptor, go!" Ash shouted as he sent out his remaining Pokemon. "Piplup, Buneary, Pachirisu and Buizel. Go!" Dawn said as she sent her Pokemon out as well. "Sudowoodo and Croagunk, go!" Brock shouted as he too sent his Pokemon out into the battle. "Mightyena and Houndoom, provide backup!" Tabitha shouted as he sent his Pokemon out. "It doesn't matter how many Pokemon you use. This machine is a successful attempt at combining human technology with alien technology!" Jessie gloated. "A group attack might do it." Ash said. "Mightyena, Shadow Ball. Houndoom, Flamethrower!" Tabitha shouted. "Piplup, Bubblebeam! Buneary Ice Beam! Pachirisu, Spark!" Dawn shouted. "Sudowoodo, Take Down! Croagunk, Brick Break!" Brock shouted. "Turtwig, Razor Leaf! Pikachu, Thunder! Marina, Sonic Boom! Absol, Razor Wind! Staraptor, Gust! Aipom, Swift!" Ash shouted. All the Pokemon used their attacks on the robot in a devastating combined blast. But the attacks did nothing to it. "Staraptor, use Quick Attack on the robot's legs!" Ash shouted. Nodding, the bird Pokemon went straight on and hit the legs. "Sudowoodo, Take Down on the legs as well!" Brock shouted. Sudowoodo ran forward and hit the legs in the same spot as Staraptor. After several hits, Ash shouted "Pikachu, Volt Tackle!" Pikachu, who was surrounded by electricity, and ran forward and hit the same spot several times. As soon as a crack appeared, Ash shouted "Pikachu, use Thunder now!" Nodding, Pikachu let loose a powerful Thunder attack that went right through the robot. It exploded and Team Rocket was sent flying away. "Looks like Team Rocket blasting off again!" they shouted without even knowing what had occurred.
Eevee hit the ground hard. But the Thunder Stone landed on her. As soon as it touched her, she began to glow. Everyone watched as her body grew and change until a Jolteon was lying in the spot where Eevee was. The Jolteon opened her eyes and looked around. Looking at the river she saw her reflection. She backed away a bit as she tried to register the new information. "It's true. You're a Jolteon now. There's nothing we can do to reverse it." Ash said. The Jolteon looked down at the ground. Ash thought of something and said "Well, I did promise to name you when you evolved. How about I name you Jolt?" The Jolteon thought to herself and then nodded at the name. "Jolt it is then." Ash said with a grin. Jolt and the other Pokemon walked back to the campsite to have lunch with Ash following them.
Later that night. Ash, who could not sleep, went for a walk when Mew appeared in front of him. "Mew, what're you doing here?" Ash asked. Mew began to talk in her own language. "Mew says that the Legendaries sent her here." Absol said as he appeared. "But why?" Ash asked. Mew said something else and Absol translated again. "Because they have a feeling that Sektor Sieben is going to attack soon." Absol said as Mew disappeared. "Well, we'll be ready when they attack again." Ash said as he and Absol went back to the camp.
