The next morning, Minunet woke up to see Brian on the recliner. She smiled and was surprised to find herself wrapped in a blanket. How sweet of him to do that. Minunet thought to herself and thought about her dream last night. That was a great dream. Minunet smiled and when she uncovered herself and looked down at her body, she was surprised to see her fur around her flower so crusty. A huge blush overtook her face as she rushed to a bathroom to clean her fur. "I know I love him but to dream of us doing that? Even though it was a dream, it felt so real... so good. Is that what love feels like? How mating feels like?" Minunet asked herself as she cleaned her nether regions. "Hopefully he doesn't notice..." "Notice what?" Minunet jumped and turned around slowly to see Brian. "Oh nothing." Minunet said hastily. Brian gave her a playful accusing look and then left her alone. "That was too close..." Minunet let out a sigh. "I wish I could tell him how I felt about him... I need to tell him but it seems like for now, it isn't the right time."

Minunet's ears drooped and her paw unconsciously went down to her flower and started to rub it. Minunet gasped and moaned quietly. She started to go a bit faster, brushing against her clit multiple times. Minunet's legs started to shake so she sat down and continued her treatment to herself. She inserted one of her "fingers" into her tunnel and Minunet couldn't help but moan loudly but quiet enough so that way Brian didn't suspect a thing. Soon, Minunet had her entire paw inside of her, save of the spike that is. A big red blush was evident on Minunet's face as she continued playing with herself as she began to thrust on her paw, furthering her pleasure. Minunet soon felt a weird pressure build up but continued to engulf her flower in pleasure, groaning in pleasure as she continued. Soon she couldn't take it anymore and he walls pressed down on her paw and unleashed her orgasm. Minunet moaned loudly without restraint and without thinking as her juices gushed out and went onto the floor. "Oh my... that was... was... amazing... But what me and Brian did in the dream was better... I can't wait... to try it then..." Minunet said to herself, then realized that she had another mess to clean up.

Brian was in his room packing up some stuff when he heard something but passed it off as his imagination. Once his bag was packed, he went to go get Minunet, who was sitting down on the couch looking rather content. "What put you in a good mood I wonder." Brian said to her and Minunet just smiled. "I'm sure you don't want to know... for now." Minunet replied but then noticed the bag on Brian's back. "Are we going somewhere?" Minunet asked. "Just to a friend's place. I wanted you to come along." Brian answered. Minunet's ears perked up, "Just me?" she asked eagerly. "Well... I could do that but in case we get more trouble then we can handle, I'd better bring Crash and Bandit with." Brian said and withdrew Crash and Bandit, who were still sleeping. After writing a quick note and placed it on the end table by the door, Brian and Minunet were off.

Out in the trees nearby the house, a Malenci ranger watches as Brian and Minunet leave their home, the only sanctuary from them. "Captain, the target is on the move." The ranger said into a radio. "Good. Wait till they are out of the city. Then we shall strike." A voice answered. Once Brian and Minunet were out of Veilstone city, the Malenci rangers were in position. "This Dia Krusal Crxa lucario has evaded our grasp for too long. The time is nigh to bring an end to her." One of the rangers said and they loaded their rifles. Minunet stopped where she was with a worried look in her eyes. Brian noticed this and asked what was wrong. Minunet stood there for a few more moments and then heard one of the rifles cock. "Get down!" Minunet exclaimed and brought Brian down to the ground as the weapons fired and missed their targets. Brian's heart jumped as the weapons aimed at them discharged, the bullets missed by mere inches. "C'mon! We got to get out of here!" Minunet said and got Brian up and they went into a dash. "It's never easy isn't it?" One of the rangers said over their radios. "Nope. It never is. But the fun part is just beginning." Another ranger said. "What about this human? Is he to be brought down as well?" One ranger said. "This human deceived us about a year ago when we was hunting down Snowfire and her pup. For obstruction of our work, he is to be brought down as well." The lead ranger said and all of the others replied with a "Yes sir!"

With their common sense thrown out the window and did not flee back into the city, Brian and Minunet fled into the forest away from the assassins. Eventually, Brian's endurance gave out and he had to stop. "Brian! We can't stop now!" Minunet prodded him. "In case you haven't noticed Minunet, I'm not a lucario like you! I don't have the sort of endurance that you have!" Brian replied through his attempts to get oxygen back into his system. Suddenly, a reaction caused Brian to push Minunet out of the way as a rifle fired and hit Brian in the back. Minunet watched in horror as her caretaker was shot. "BRIAN!" Minunet exclaimed in horror and tried to move and then another rifle fired and pierced through Brian's skull, killing him instantly. "No!!!!!!!!!" Minunet cried out as she went to his side. He... he can't be dead yet... not now! Tears started to go down her face as she tried in a vain attempt to "wake" him up, not accepting the fact that the one she loved was brought down. One of the rangers felt no need to use long range now and told his comrades to stay put as he pulled out a small handgun and approached Minunet.

Brian's soul, however, didn't leave his body. It was tethered down by an unseen force. Where am I? Brian asked himself and then a figure appeared before him. Your human body has succumbed to death. But fear not... Death is not ready for you. For I've sensed that this would occur and I've come with a power. The figure said to Brian. I am known as Syn'kur. My liege has invested much in your survival. You may not know it, but you have more power then you imagine. I am here to awaken that power. Syn'kur explained. Will... will it help me protect those who I wish? Brian asked. It is your power to do as you please. Use it for what you see fit. Syn'kur replied and then touched Brian's chest. Brian cried out as a sharp pain ran through his mental state. His body began to transform. His legs developed another bend in them, his body became over-run with silver fur with a demonic tint, three spikes instantly popped out one protruding his chest and two on the back of his hands. At the end of this transformation, Brian became a lucario himself but with an unknown hatred towards the Malenci. Brian's paws and feet glowed for a moment then became plated with demonic metal. Streaks of white could be seen over his body and his fur around his head molded into some kind of helm with the exception of it completely open faced and two "wings" formed on his back. This is your inner devil. The power of the demon, Beowulf, lies strong within you. With this devil trigger, your wounds are nothing. Anything that would kill a normal human is nothing but a mere scratch in this form. Now go, awaken, wage war your own. I will see you again for when you are ready to train more in this way.

Meanwhile in the real world, Minunet kneeled over Brian, her tears dropping onto Brian's "corpse," failing to notice that the bullets that had been his undoing were pushed out. The Malenci ranger stood behind Minunet and primed his handgun. "We'll be seeing you in hell." The ranger said and then took aim at point-blank. Before the ranger could even pull the trigger, something lightning fast stopped him and sliced and diced him. "Impossible!" The Ranger cried out in a dying breath before he separated into a bloody pile of meat. Minunet noticed and ran to hid in a tree, forgetting about Brian momentarily. "What is that thing?!" One of the rangers said before a dying cry of agony rang out. "I've never felt a presence like this before... IT'S THE KRATUS!" The lead ranger yelled out which led to giving away his position and the unknown assailant silenced him permanently.

With the ranger's captain dead, his death broadcasted over their radios no less, demoralized them and they started to flee but didn't get far before they were killed. When the rangers were dead, the assailant walked back to where Brian was killed at. Minunet was in the clearing, looking for her love's body. The assailant saw her and stopped where he was and watched her. Minunet soon took notice of his presence and took one look at him then got a fearful look in her eyes, fearing that she is next. The assailant only held out his paw to Minunet which only served to confuse her but then she caught whiff of a familiar scent. "Brian?" She asked. The assailant smiled and nodded. Minunet gasped and ran to him, embracing him with tears freely flowing down her beautiful face. Brian's demonic form faded but he stayed in his lucario form. "Oh Brian... I thought I lost you!" Minunet started. "I thought I would never been able to tell you..." Brian held her close to him as she talked to him.

"C'mon Minunet... lets go home." Brian said to Minunet, gradually turning about to his human self. "It don't think it's safe for us to be out here. We should return home." Minunet looked up at Brian with tearful eyes and slowly nodded. Brian helped her up and Minunet held onto him very tightly. Brian understood why she is clingy considering what just happened. While they walked, Minunet was troubled. What was that... that form he was in? Could it happen again? Could it... kill him? Minunet shivered at the thought. I almost lost him there... I can't lose him again. Not now. As they got closer to civilization, Brian gradully turned back to his human self and by the time they entered city limits, Brian was his old self.

Not bothering to waste any time, they immeaditly headed home and stayed there for the rest of the day. After a little while, Minunet asked, "Brian... what was that... that thing made you into what killed those people?" Brian looked up and pondered. "I honestly have no idea. Whatever it was, it saved you at least." Brian answered. Minunet scooted over closer to Brian and rest her body weight on his side. Brian smiled and wrapped an arm around her, gently rubbing her arm. Minunet murred quietly to herself and when Brian opened his bag, "What the?" he said and pulled out a book. "I don't remember having this with me..." Minunet's attention turned to whatever Brian was talking about. Brian looked the book, "Whoa. Such a bizzare language." Minuent looked at one the pages and didn't understand a single word. "Do you understand this at all?" Minuent asked. "Strangely, yes. And I have no idea why. It seems like... some sort of instruction manual... and history book?"

Brian went about reading the mysterious book, randomly saying interesting parts about it. "Whoa. I think I found out what I was back there." Brian said and Minuent immeaditly turned her attention to the page which showed a rough illustration of what he looked like. "It says that this form is a type of Devil trigger. There are many kinds of it and it depends on what weapon I might've been using. It says I was using the 'devil arm' Beowulf, the lightbeast. These devil triggers can be used by all demons, full and half-blooded, but it takes a true master to be able to stay in it for as long as one wishes." Minunet pondered what she was told. "Can it... kill you?" She asked nervously, afraid of the answer she might hear. "Hmm... I didn't see anything about that but it mentions that in this form, anything that would kill a normal human being would be nothing against a demon in devil trigger. Just a mere scratch." Brian answered and Minunet let out a sigh of relief.

Brian looked out the window and say that it was dark and looked over to a nearby clock that said 10:41 p.m. "Whoa. Time for bed." Brian said and got up and headed to his room. "Brian wait... is it alright that I can, sleep with you tonight?" Minunet asked in a non-sexual way. Brian flinched but didn't give it a second thought and answered "Yes," and Minunet followed him. Minuent crawled in and Brian did shortly after. Minuent snuggled up as close as possible to him, fearing that she might be here today and not tommorrow. Brian smiled at this behavior and passed it off as being clingy to him and wrapped an arm around her and fell asleep to another day.Chapter End Notes:You know, during my time on AGNPH, I've never saw anyone combine this in their stories before. XD-385 sorta gave me the idea of how he used Namco characters in his story, "Forbidden Love." That got me thinking while I was playing DMC3 (Devil May Cry 3) and then it hit me.
