Chapter 1
Chapter 1
It has been 200 hundred years since a knight made a difference in the world. This knight had battled the Yamata no Orochi and destroyed the demonic sword Soul Edge. The story of the knight named Ashton was told in a few places in the world. One of those places was in Sinnoh by a clan of Lucario called the Ironspike clan. But this is the story of a Lucario who makes the biggest mistake of its life.
The door to a hut opened as a female Lucario stepped out. She looked at a city known as Ironspike City which was a city where humans lived. She then turned to see the slope of Mt. Coronet to the west. From the city to the slope, there was farmland where the Lucario of the Ironspike clan lived, work and trained. While they were welcomed in the city, only some of them lived there while others preferred to live in the farmlands. The female Lucario shouted out, "Rukaria! Time for lunch!" The Lucario waited before turning to the field where her mate was working. She asked. "Frederick. Have you seen Rukaria anywhere?" The Lucario looked up from the farming he was doing and said "Yes, Solaria. I have sent her into the city with some money to buy something."
"You do know that she might have went and bought some sweets instead." Solaria said. "So? She's a little girl. She deserves a little treat every now and then." Frederick replied. "Have you forgotten what she is like when she has too much sugar?" Solaria asked. Frederick stopped to think. After a few seconds, he groaned, "Oh man, she had a sugar rush last time." "Got that right. Now I say that you go into the city and get her back before she gets some sweets." Solaria demanded. Frederick didn't need to be told twice as he ran towards the city. "For being one of the strongest and noblest warriors of our clan, he still tends to forget quite a bit." Solaria said with a sigh.
In the city a young, Riolu ran through the streets with a little bag in her hand. Rukaria stopped for a moment outside a shop that sold her favorite sweets. Her mouth watered before she stopped and thought, 'Maybe I should get something for Daddy and Mummy.' She turned and walked down onto the main street of the city where merchants were selling, buying, or trading with the humans of Ironspike City or the Lucario of the Ironspike clan. 'Maybe I can get something nice for Mummy and Daddy here.' Rukaria said to herself. Then she smiled and ran to one of the shops before running to others as she inspected the available goods. She soon ran right into another young Riolu.
Both of the children rubbed their heads as they reeled from the impact. "Sorry about that." Rukaria said. "That hurt..." the other Riolu whimpered. "My name is Rukaria. What's yours?" Rukaria asked. "My name is Ruko." the Riolu replied as he got up. Rukaria got up and picked up the small bag with the money in it. "I haven't seen you around before." Rukaria said. "My Mummy and Daddy were members of the Ironspike clan. But they went with a Trainer to travel around the world. I was born during their travels. The Trainer sent my Mummy and Daddy back here just a little while ago. Cause he didn't want them looking after me on their journey." Ruko explained. "Well, maybe we can be friends. May I show you around the city?" Rukaria asked with a smile. "OK." Ruko said as Rukaria started to show her new friend around.
Frederick walked into the shop that sold Rukaria's favorite sweets. "Ah, Frederick. What can I do for you today?" the shop owner asked. "Have you seen my daughter today? I gave her some money and I think she came in here." Frederick said. "No, I haven't seen Rukaria today at all. I thought Solaria was trying to keep her off the sweets." the shop owner said. Frederick sighed and then said, "I hope she isn't causing any havoc in the city. I mean, you know what she's like when she goes hyperactive." The shop owner chuckled "Well, Frederick, I hope you do find her before she gets her hands on some sweets." "Thanks." the Lucario replied as he turned and ran out the door.
While her father looked for her, Rukaria was showing her new friend Ruko around when another Riolu came running towards them. The Riolu stopped in front of Rukaria and Ruko. "Rukaria. How you been?" the Riolu asked. "I've been good, Matariel." Rukaria replied. The Riolu turned and saw Ruko standing next to Rukaria. "Who's your new friend here?" she asked. "This is Ruko. Ruko, this is Matariel." Rukaria said. Ruko reached out and shook Matariel's paw. "Nice to meet you." Ruko said. "Same. I hope we can be friends." Matariel said with a grin. Rukaria looked to see her father running down the street. "Daddy!" Rukaria shouted. "Rukaria. Did you spend that money I gave you on sweets?" Frederick asked. "No, Daddy. I was going to get something for you and Mummy." Rukaria explained as she looked at her father. "Well then, it's time to take you home for lunch." Frederick said as he bent down and picked up his daughter. "But I want to play with my friends." Rukaria said. "Not now. We've got to go back and have lunch. After that, we can come back and find your friends." Frederick said. "Do you mean that, Daddy?" Rukaria asked as she looked up at her father. "Yes, I mean it. And I think your mother is making one of your favorites today." Frederick said. Rukaria's eyes went wide as her mouth began to water. "Let's go then. I want lunch!" Rukaria said happily. Frederick chuckled and started to head out of the city back to the hut they lived in.
