Graying Blood

Chapter 2: Games

***

At lowest levels of North Kanto Headquarters, there was a long hallway with smooth stone walls, the ceiling having caved in long ago with the rubble just being removed. The passage was lit by electric lamps placed every couple hundred feet, ending with more of the collapsed ceiling. But a few thousand feet beyond this was a large stone door, the edges trimmed in moonstone.

Behind this was a large, empty stone chamber, held up by two rows of six stone columns on each side. However, it was not dark. It was lit by pink crystal torches on the bare rock walls, flickering with reddish flames. Inside was a male clefable on the smallish side, covered in a very light-pink, closer to white robe with semi-transparent crystalline lines covering it. He was pacing between four chess boards held up by the same strange material, each checkered in pink and red. Two of the boards were connected to each other with the other two a few feet away on opposite sides.

"It's so lonely. We have no one to play with," the clefable muttered to himself, voice having a very slight buzz to it. "As is every day." He paced around the boards, stopping on the right side of the two combined ones. He clenched a paw and opened it, a dozen tiny unown flying out of his paw to float for a few seconds before twisting and glowing with the signature light.

When it faded, there were a dozen game pieces, all looking like small figurines of various Rocket agents. The first was one of a farfetch'd. The clefable plucked it from the air, shaking his head a little bit. "What?" the clefable's eyes narrowed. "You're no longer playing. We've said this before. Go away." With that, he flicked it over his shoulder, the replica shattering into pink shards against the wall, the unown zipping out and sinking into his back.

He pulled another one down. A big nidoking figure, taking up four tiles on the board as he set it down. "You're so much fun to watch. At least our sister seems to think so." With that, a xatu figure floated down to the right of it. "So go and conquer. Conquer for us. You don't even know you're doing it." He then let a pair of one-tile nidoqueen figures drop down on the other side of the Gideon piece with a zangoose piece taking the last free tile on the big piece's flanks.

He curiously picked up the big nidoking and one of the nidoqueens. The clefable banged them against each other a few times before replacing them, the female figure's belly bloated a bit as he set it down. "We cannot forget that." He giggled a little bit before he set down an alakazam, a kadabra and an ampharos on the opposing side of the board. "And you three."

He sidestepped to the left board, letting an arcanine and sandslash float down to occupy the equivalent spots The clefable eyed up an absol piece that was still floating there. "Something's wrong," he said, shaking his head again. Taking it between two finger tips, he flicked at its horn, causing it to break off. "There we go." As he attempted to place it down, he found his paw pushed back. He tried again as his body took a bright pink glow. The clefable grunted in exertion, trying his best to put the absol figure down. "Arceus...has anyone ever told you that you are a spoilsport? You've never played nice. You're a jerk. A big jerk. Why do you think we overthrew you in the first place?"

It refused to be set down, repelling his paw each time. He gave a growl and tossed it against a wall, only to have it bounce off and clatter on the floor. The clefable blinked in disbelief. "You better not mess our game up," he scolded, wagging a finger at it before turning back to the board.

Abigail had just returned to Indigo Headquarters in the morning. Parking in one of the base's garages, the cat-ferret climbed out from the passenger side as a smaller rattata female emerged from the driver's. Neither of them were in uniform, the zangoose just being dressed in jeans and a plain light-gray t-shirt with the rattata clothed in an equally innocuous pair of white shorts and a pink tank top.

The rat made her way to the trunk and unlocked it. The zangoose opened it before reaching in to lift a dark plastic rifle case out. Handing it to the ratatta, Abby pushed the trunk closed and the pair made their way out of the garage, passing through the heavily populated halls of Indigo Headquarters; it was a sharp contrast to the near empty passages of the Mt. Moon base. Arriving at the metal door to an armory, the zangoose pulled out her ID card and swiped it in the lock. She heard the door click and pushed it open and the rattata stepped in to put the weapon away. Another mission for Gideon was done and another dissenting voice was silenced.

Within another half hour, she was in the Executive's office. The nidoking seemed more pleased then normal as she went over the details of her assignment. The zangoose spoke in a bland, entirely uninterested tone of voice. "Agent Mary and I set up position on the roof of a building at around 4:00 am this morning in Saffron. At 6:25 am, the suspected dissenter was visible in her apartment's window across the street. Acting as my spotter, Agent Mary confirmed the shot would be viable from our distance and angle and I took it. Mary then confined that it hit and was certainly fatal. We arrived back on base at 10:47 am and returned our equipment to the armory."

The Executive had a calm look, not the typical smirk or grin. To Abby to looked like the nido was satisfied with something. "Well done, Abigail."

"Thank you, sir," she replied, keeping the distance in her voice.

"I am glad to see your skills didn't diminish during those five or so years Datan had you doing non-combat duties," he added. "Take a few days off. I'll have your next target by then. That's all; you are dismissed."

After an uneventful lunch, Abby decided to go visit Sophia. She knocked on the nidoqueen's door a few times It was opened half way by a hesitant, tired-looking Sophia in a very wrinkled night gown. "Morning," said the nido female groggily, keeping her eyes averted from the cat-ferret's as she opened her door fully. The zangoose could see bruises visible along her neck along with a a bandaged right ear, a chunk looking to have been ripped from it.

"It's noon," Abby corrected, taking a step back. Her sensitive nose could pick up Gideon's recent scent from the room, mingled with another hinting Sophia was in an obvious heat. There was also a third, probably another nidoqueen's. "Uh...is this a bad time. Should I leave you alone?"

Sophia shook her head a bit, still keeping her eyes to the side. "Noon?" She paused in thought for a moment. "I'm late for work. Wait. I've been given the day off. Never mind. What do you want?"

"Was looking for someone to spend some time with. I don't really know anyone else on this base yet and Theo's asleep," answered the zangoose.

The nidoqueen stepped back, motioning inward with a paw. "Come in, then." As Abby padded in, she closed the door. "I apologize; the place is a bit of a mess."

It was a small, beige-tiled room with only the bare basics of furniture. A thin mattress on a metal-framed bed, the ugly green sheets disarrayed. A few drawers on the dresser were also half open and most of her clothes just looked piled up in the wide open closet. There was also not a single window in the room, being lit entirely by one corner floor lamp.

As Abby stepped inside, the scent of stale sex in the air was only grew stronger. "He's not leaving you a choice, is he?" she asked, her voice sharp with a hint of anger to it.

Sophia shrugged as she let herself fall back on her bed, patting a spot beside her. "Sit down, please." She noticed Abby look around, probably for a chair, before sitting down on her bed. "Of course he did not. Are you thinking Gideon plays fair in anything?"

"No, not at all," she looked back to the nido. "I've worked under agents like him before. In fact, agents who were working for him before. Datan." She could see the nidoqueen's uninjured ear droop a little as she said that.

"I'm sorry," the nidoqueen managed to say, closing her eyes. "Also sorry that's all I can really say on that."

The zangoose almost laid a reassuring paw on Sophia's shoulder, letting it hover for a bit before pulling it back. She was unsure if any contact from anyone would be welcome right now. "That's fine, that's fine."

"Everything has just hit me so fast over the last month," the nidoqueen muttered softly to Abby. "First I hear my brother is going to visit. I thought that would be a good thing, you know? I haven't seen him in awhile. Then I ended up having to patch up poor Alexei not once, but twice in only a few days time as he decided to get a backbone in opposition to Datan and hook up with a friend of his. Theo arrived and I had to help both of you. My father was murdered; I'm sure Gideon did it. I then was forced to come here under a thinly veiled threat he would kill my mother. Of course, Theo foolishly tried to stop him, only getting you and himself captured in the process..." she trailed off, for a moment as her eyes slowly opened again to meet the zangoose's, the heavy lids around them punctuating her fatigue. "And I will soon be with his child."

Abby gave the nidoqueen a dumbstruck look. There really was nothing she could say to that. When she first met the nidoqueen, she seemed so solid when they first me. She was even telling her off for the foolishness of charging in after Theo while tending to her broken claws. So much so quickly with no escape from where she was now, permanently bonded to Gideon. The zangoose's eyes began to water, though she brushed it away as quickly as it happened.

The nidoqueen placed her right paw over the zangoose's while closing her eyes again. "You probably shouldn't be here for too long. Gideon might pay me another visit," she warned.

"Okay," the zangoose whispered back.

"But a few minutes more can't hurt. I do appreciate the company. Thank you." Sophia squeezed the cat-ferret's paw softly.

Alexei and Slate were in the back yard of Rhombus' house sparring. The arcanine was casually leaning back against the door as she observed and monitored as Alexei was generous enough to warn her beforehand he was starting to get carried away in practice exercises. It was a common problem amongst pokemon, including herself, but she'd developed enough restraint over the years to avoid letting her desires consume her and remove her bipedal form.

The absol narrowly tilted his head to the side to avoid a thrust from one of Slate's thickly gloved claws. In the same motion, the absol kneed the sandmouse in the gut. Coughing, Slate's offensive was stalled and Alexei executed a quick attack in succession. In a blur, he was behind the sandslash, only to receive a hard kick to his knee, then a back paw across the muzzle as Slate spun around on a heel.

As Alexei's head was jerked hard to the right from the hit with another landing carefully below the dulled, but still sharp base of his missing scythe. The absol found himself on his back in the cool grass with a final kick to his chest. "I win this round, Alex," said Slate playfully as he pressed down with his foot paw.

Rubbing the side of his head for a few minutes, the absol saw triple images of the sandslash, gradually drifting back together as they stood over him. "Forgot how quick you are," he commented as his vision re-centered. "One more round, then we'll call it for the day." Alexei climbed back up to his feet as Slate paced back a couple of yards.

As they began again, another Alexei seemed to shift out from the absol's side. A perfect duplicate visually, but lacking mass and not drawing a shadow on the ground. Slate smirked as this happened, easily being able to see through it whenever his friend attempted it. Then the pair of absols just vanished entirely. The sandslash just shook his head a little, taking a less serious stance to taunt the invisible Alexei as he stalked up him.

The disaster pokemon winked back into existence behind Slate and the sandslash promptly spun and punched at him. His clawed paw just went right through the absol's head as if it were air, having struck at the illusionary duplicate. Before the sandmouse could react further, the real Alexei appeared at his right, giving him a little smirk along with a hard elbow to his side.

"Hello!" exclaimed the absol as he watched the sandslash tumble down into the grass, kicking the downed pokemon in the face a couple of times. Slate growled in anger, the clawed toes shallowly cutting his right cheek before he rolled to the side to avoid another. He noticed Alexei's eyes were opening wide, that smug little half-smile on his face remaining all the same as he did.

"Enough," ordered Rhombus as she got out of her slouch against the door. The absol wasn't listening to her; Slate narrowly avoided a couple of psycho cuts that Alexei swung at him from a paw, the glowing blades of white light each carving several feet into the ground.

"Stand down, Alexei," warned the large arcanine woman in a deep growl as began to walk over, watching a now very tired looking Slate continue to roll out of the way of his assailant's attacks.

The absol's eyes drifted up to meet hers and he leaped right over the downed sandslash to break into a dash toward her. "No," he said simply while sending a few psycho cut blades at the arcanine with a flick of a wrist. She growled, easily sidestepping them as they reduced the wooden door behind her to splinters.

With this distance closed in a second, Alexei found Rhombus' strong arms wrap around his midsection, pinning his own as she shifted her weight to slam down very hard to the ground with the smaller male in her take down maneuver. He was knocked out instantly, the arcanine groaning as climbed up off him. Every bone in her body felt jarred, joints feeling stiff as she jogged over to Slate, who was just sitting up in the grass and warily watching the unconscious absol.

Rhombus chuckled a little as a thought entered her head. The big arcanine prodded Alexei's side with a foot paw. "Think we need to punish him for that?"

"I'm thinking so, ma'am."

In a few hours, Alexei began to wake up. He was in Rhombus' living room, lying back on her couch with his paws and feet bound in a pair of handcuffs each, the former behind his back and feeling numb from lowered circulation by this point. His whole form felt extremely sore, head pounding from being brought to the ground so abruptly.

"You finally woke up?" asked Slate, stepping out from an archway that led to the kitchen as he heard his friend begin to stir.

Alexei groaned, managing to shift himself up into a sitting position on the couch while wiggling his paws in the cuffs as much as he could. "I really lost it back there, didn't I?"

The sandslash shrugged as he walked over to sit down next to the absol, the gashes on his face all sutured up. "You could say that. I've never seen you fall into that state before. I've seen Rhombus do that to a couple of deserving bastards. I've seen Theo go utterly silent in rage and do the same. I also have never fallen victim to our more vicious instincts."

"Yeah," replied the absol, not sounding too concerned over it. "Lots of...strange things have been happening to me lately. Could you get these damn cuffs off me? I'm starting to go numb in the paws."

At that request, he saw wry little smile cross the sandslash's muzzle. "We'll have to go ask the boss about that." He motioned to the stairs with a paw, "You also better be in decent enough shape to make it to her room."

The absol nodded a little bit as he got to his feet, the restraints on his foot paws just providing him enough space to carefully shuffle alongside Slate up the stairs and down a short hallway to a door at the end. Before the sandslash opened it, however, he swiped at the absol with his claws several times. Alexei hopped back in the narrow hall, only to stumble over his bound feet and fall back against a wall. He gave an angered snarl before looking down to realize his shirt and pants had just been cut to shreds, most of it falling to the floor. He blinked a few times, noticing even his underwear didn't survive the swipe. "W-what are you doing?"

"Be quiet," Slate ordered, sounding much sterner before knocking on the door. "She will deal with you however she sees fit."

"Enter," crooned Rhombus from behind the door. Slate opened it up, motioning with a paw for the Alexei to enter as he watched the now bare absol male get back to his feet, giving him a pat on the ass as he shuffled in. He found the arcanine lying back on her large bed, completely in the nude as she flashed him a fanged grin.

Alexei blushed a little at the sight, pausing in the doorway for a moment before another shove from Slate made the bound absol male fall down onto his face at the foot of the bed. Rhombus climbed off from the side at this, slowly pacing over to pin his neck down to the floor with a foot paw. "Step in Slate," she said commandingly and the sandshrew did so, slipping his pant to the floor in the same motion. "Now, what do I want to do with you for injuring your sparring partner," she whispered darkly to him.

The absol felt his heart beat a little faster with his sheath swelling against the carpet as he looked up to the larger fire dog. For making eye contact, he found the paw pressing down harder, causing him to cough a couple of times before she slides it down his back and to the side, rolling him over onto his back. The foot paw slid down Alexei's chest, lightly rubbing over his sheath and sac. She teased him until his full length was out, the male giving a soft moan that instantly became a pained yelp as he raised the paw and slammed it down on his balls.

His eyes went wide as he felt a dull, nauseating pain shoot through his abdominal area in addition to his sac feeling a little numb from the slam. He glanced to the side, noticing Slate seemed to be enjoying the show himself, the tapered pink length of his own malehood emerging as he watched Rhombus slam her paw down on Alexei's crotch again to earn another shocked cry of pain.

The absol tried to struggle against the handcuffs restraining his paws, but it was entirely pointless. He groaned as Rhombus sat down on the edge of the bed, sliding her foot up right into his face. "Arcan...I mean, lick. Do a good job, pet," she ordered before looking to Slate. "As for you, I think that cock of his needs a little more attention, yes? Arca."

The sandslash nodded, sinking down onto all fours over the absol's legs while Alexei began to carefully lick at the pads of Rhombus' foot paw. Slate cupped the abused sac in his paw, giving it a couple more light squeezes to hear Alexei groan while he brought his muzzle to the tip of his cock. Nosing at the shaft a little, he slowly took it into his mouth, tongue circling around it as he began to bob upon Alexei.

The bound dark type's legs kicked a little under the assault, his mind being washed with pleasure and pain simultaneously as he was made to tend to his superior's feet, the other one pressing down into his face as he suckled lightly on her toes. The absol's hips instinctively bucked a few times as Slate's warm mouth slid up and down his cock, his sore balls being rolled and kneaded gently as the sandslash sucked him off.

Rhombus wiggled her toes a bit as she felt the tongue side around and between them, carefully working over each pad. "Arca...good, pet. Very good." She planted her paws on the sides of his head, moving to squat over him as she slid a paw behind the back of his head to press his face right into her sex, grinding down with it. The absol tensed up at this and Slate could feel his cock twitch, spurting a bit of his preseed into the sandslash's mouth.

Alexei squirmed under the arcanine for a few moments as she used attract, causing her powerful female scent to fill the room. With his nostrils pressed right to her folds, the absol's will melted entirely and he began to frantically lap at her, his cock rewarding Slate with more of its pre as he could feel Alexei's sac tighten up a bit.

The large arcanine female threw her head back, churring deeply as the absol's tongue worked her over, pressing his muzzle up against her harder while she watched Slate through half lidded eyes. Alexei was the first to lose it; he gave a muffled cry from under Rhombus' crotch as his cock gave a few hard twitches and pumped ropes of thick absol seed into Slate's mouth, the sandslash gladly swallowing them as he gave Alexei's balls one last, painful squeeze to make him whimper as he continued to work his superior's pussy.

In a few more minutes, Alexei could feel Rhombus's legs press up a bit closer to the sides of his head, though she was still careful enough not to cut herself on the broken stub that was once his scythe. Then, those hot lips began to grip his tongue before a gush of her female juices splattered over his face. The absol's thoughts were gone at this point, nearly passing out from the scent as Slate swallowed the last few drops of his seed before pulling off his cock. "Always...liked your idea of punishment," he panted under the arcanine, his voice still muffled.

Faust was sitting at a kitchen table in his new apartment in Eterna, Sinnoh. He was dressed in a light cyan suit for a change from his brown robes, the coat over the back of his chair with tie undone. The old absol slowly exhaled a long plume of smoke, setting a glass pipe down next to a couple of small cloth sacks, one of his was half-opened to reveal itself being full of dried mushrooms.

He reached for one of the scroll cases that was also sitting on the table, opening the tube and pulling out a couple of his scrolls. Placing them flat on the table, he then traced a claw over each symbol, ending on the eye dot of each unown rune. He repeated this for half of an hour, giving a content sigh as he felt the drugs begin to take hold within his mind. His eyes closed for another few minutes, claws tracing over the symbols again and again until he felt hard, crystalline things begin to rise from the paper.

He let his eyes slowly open again to see the unown peel themselves from the sheet, each staring at him with its single eye as they began to swirl and encircle Faust. He gave them a little smile as he saw them begin to bunch together, congealing into a vaguely humanoid shape, its outline dispersing a few times before condensing and radiating with a faint blue light which flowed away in thin, rippling sheets to leave a near featureless, clear pink humanoid figure. With the exception of a pair of small, beady eyes it looked to be nothing but a gel mannequin.

"Good evening, Faustus," it said in a light, androgynous voice as it stepped closer to the table. Each step caused its jelly body to ripple slightly. It suddenly shuddered and twisted, becoming a clefable male. "We are making our moves, as limited as they are in our prison."

"That's good, that's good. I'm curious how that is possible, since your siblings have said that influencing the outside is impossible without an outside force to act on," Faust answered back while turning in the chair to address the ditto.

The clefable giggled a little bit, tilting his head. "Oh. We influence each other quite well and we are not blind to the outside." The clefable became a female xatu. "We cast out a few of our braver souls into the machines of the mortals, learning much more and giving our brother a way to reach out as well."

"Impressive," the old absol reached for his pipe again along with a book of matches.

It suddenly turned into an older looking male absol. "And I am making my moves. Though I am curious why I do it, when I was a former host of that brute Arceus. My master cannot read my mind, so hope it does not make him suspicious."

Faust laughed a little at strange shape shifter's antics while striking a match. "Loneliness. To have divine company for over a century and lose it...well, it made me desperate. So I sought you out and with it I learned the truth about The Creator."

"I have never said that to my master before in all our time together," the ditto mimicking Faust chittered. "I hope I just didn't lie to him, but I believe I did not."

The old absol shook his head as he lit up what was left in the pipe. "I can assure you I would not lie. You've opened my eyes." He inhaled the smoke, watching the ditto warp again as he exhaled, taking on the appearance of Terra the alakazam.

"Faust said to me that the Regional Lords are vicious monsters intent on enslaving mortals. Would this be a correct view for Team Galactic to hold?"

"It would," Faust said. "It encourages them to seek out Alexei in hopes that The Creator is benevolent. Once close, we can finish the job you started thousands of years back."

The ditto returned to its normal state as he said that. "In that case, we are pleased with your work. Carry on."
