Story Notes:
No pokemon are mine, obviously, blah blah blah.... Grace is, however.
A Deal Made Clear
Why was it so hot?
Grace had gone to bed before her parents returned home. The afternoon's 'activities' had tired her out, and all she really wanted was a chance to relax and catch up on some well deserved rest. Besides that, she wasn't really feeling well. "I hope that stupid Arcanine didn't give me something..." She'd muttered before slipping under her covers and falling deep into sleep.
But it seemed as though the temperature in her room was rising. The heat was almost unbearable so she threw the covers off her body and tried to fall back to sleep. But as she rolled to find a cooler spot in her sheets, a sharp pain lanced through her side when she tried to roll on her to belly. In her dreamless fog, she knew something was up so she turned back over and ran her hand over the sore spot. But it wasn't her side that hurt. And, as her hand continued to roam, she found a rather prominent distension in her abdomen.
"What the hell--?!" She yelled, slapping a hand over her mouth to silence herself. Her parents were home by now, and she didn't need to inform them of her mysterious plight. She was probably still dreaming, she reasoned, until another shot of pain took her by surprise. Sharp, short pains, almost like cramps, she reasoned. But, that couldn't be right. There just wasn't any way that was possible. Unless... She remembered reading in a book about what happens during a pregnancy. Only those were called contractions. And those only ever happened when... She gulped and sat herself upright to look down at herself.
But that ended up being a very poor decision. As her ribs and muscles pressed downwards, a stronger pain filled her senses and she could feel something inside her shift abruptly. Gasping she laid back down with a heavy 'whumph' and tried to catch her breath. Sweat was rolling down her cheeks because of the strain. As she inhaled deeply to calm herself, she could hear her brother snoring down the hallway. As she thought about how annoying he was, she recalled him leaving the house earlier that morning, and then a certain event that had occurred even earlier. She'd taken it for a dream, but what if it weren't? No, that just wasn't possible. But the more her thoughts brewed, she grew more and more grim. Arcanine were technically legendary Pokemon, mainly because they were so rare. Growlithe only evolved when presented with a firestone, and those were hard to come by. There were several others like him, and true legendaries that had no kin... Were they all really going to come looking for her? Were they all going to...?
Her thoughts weren't entirely interrupted by the next contraction and internal shift. Somehow she was dreading the fact that a myriad of different Pokemon were going to track her down and... populate. So this was the man's idea. This was how she was going to help him, huh? She'd like to see him try. Grace overlapped her legs and squeezed, trying to force whatever was trying to come out back in. But her efforts only aggravated things. When she flexed, the egg - or at least she assumed what it was - shifted further down. A sharp moan passed her lips and she sat up. Another lance of pain shook her and her legs flew apart in reflex. The egg shifted its way further and further down and contraction after contraction ravaged her frame. She panted, and wiped sweat from her brow. However, for the moment, the object had stopped moving. There was a burning sensation at her lips and she reached down. When she felt sent a chill down her spine and confirmed all her suspicions. The surface of the egg was moist and warm, but harder than she'd imagined. Usually, at least when their chickens were laying, the eggs were very soft when they emerged. But not this one. Perhaps she just wasn't as lucky.
Whatever she was thinking was interrupted as the egg started to move again. The pain was unbearable as it moved at a snail's pace, slowly stretching her lips and inner walls as it progressed. She wanted to swear, she wanted to curse herself for ever being captured in the first place. But how was she to know that she was going to be randomly abducted that morning? The egg moved slower and slower out until it got stuck. She panted against the pain and propped herself up on her elbows to look down. Using her hand, she felt that it was at the thickest part now. With that new realization, a dreadful and yet somehow reassuring though came to pass. Just one more push, and this thing would be out of her.
So she squeezed, fluids came out around the egg and aided its exit. Slowly, she felt it shifting, working its way out. Her hole was burning with pain but suddenly, the pressure was past, and she shivered when the short end of the egg passed through and exited. The egg rolled once on the bed, then laid still in the fluids that saturated her sheets. Gingerly, she sat herself up and hefted it in her hands. It was alarmingly large, larger than any egg she'd ever seen. And it was no wonder she was so sore. But she felt good, powerful even, now that the deed was done. Exhaustion quickly grabbed her and she fell back, deep into sleep, leaving the egg on the extra pillow beside her.
When she awoke the next morning, she rolled over onto her side to discover that where the egg had been, there was now a note. It was in a masculine, but easily legible script and simply stated thanks, and that the egg would be well taken care of. She growled but the feeling of loss passed quickly. On the back of the card were further instructions and advise.
'The serum we administered to you made you acceptable of all pokemon genetics. It will also speed the birthing along. Sorry to leave this is a surprise.
And no, I won't be using her as a bioweapon, Grace.
All the best, Arc. '
She wondered if that was the same man who had caused all her problems in the first place. Angrily, she threw the card across the room, but was mildly fascinated when something else fell from it. It looked like a credit card. Now interested, she hoisted herself out of bed and was relatively pleased to find her self nearly pain free. Kneeling down, she lifted the plastic and found on it debit for over 5,000 poke credits. If these were the benefits, maybe this wasn't going to be such a bad job after all...Chapter End Notes:seriously... reviews are great
