Chapter 3

Journey to Another World 4
Ch. 3

I awoke the next morning to the urge to relieve myself. I smiled when the first thing my eyes saw when they opened was Jenavee with a warm smile on her face. She seemed very content about something, and when I tried to move I found out what it was. With one arm she was hugging me tight to her and the other...well lets just say that it's somewhere you can't tell your kids where.

So getting out of her embrace was a little tricky, but I finally managed to get out without waking her and swung my legs off the side of the bed. I looked over and saw the clock on the nightstand say it was a little after three in the morning. 'Well I better get this over with so that I can get back to bed.' So rubbing my eyes a little, I walked into the bathroom and shut the door after me. Though it was pretty dark in the bathroom I didn't want to turn on the lights since the lights would hurt my eyes. (Author: Ever done this? Turned on the lights when your eyes have fully adjusted to the dark. Then you know what I'm talking about.)

Lifting up the lid I pulled down my underwear and started relieving myself. After a while I started looking around the room and saw that the shower curtain had been pulled. 'Did I pull the curtain before I went to bed?' I shrugged my shoulders and turned back to the task at hand. Once I was almost finished I jumped when I heard the curtains rustle. I slowly turned my head to look over my shoulder, but didn't see anything. So I took a small sigh and laughed to myself.

'I guess I haven't gotten over my fear of the dark. It's probably just a gust that blew in from the fan.' I started laughing at myself. 'I guess I'm still a ki...' Another rustle of the curtains, but this time I caught the movement of the curtain out of the corner of my eye. When my heart slowed down to a normal pace, my brain started to function normally again and tried to put a reason behind the rustling curtain. 'What could be making that curtain rustle like that? Wait a minute... I know what's making the curtain move like that.' I smirked to myself and laughed at my own cowardess. 'It was just Feebas moving the curtain. She must have pulled the curtain closed to get the tub a little darker and my movements in here must have awoken her.' This time I actually laughed out loud.

"Hay. Whosever out there. Could you keep it down. I'm trying to sleep in here." I fell to the floor and skirted across the floor until my back hit up against the far wall, as my breath got caught in my lungs. "Alright. Whosever making all that racket out there, better have a good reason for waking me up." I watched as the curtain that was on the left side being pushed outwards, as if something were trying to go through the curtain. Finally the curtain could no longer take the pushing and slid back reveling a serpents like head.

I yelled out at the top of my lungs and quickly shot up to my feet, only I didn't make it to my feet as my head came into contact with the towel bar. Effectively sending me back to dreamland as I fell back down to my side.

When my consciousness came back to me, it was agonizingly slow and a little painful. Something on my head hurt pretty badly and there seemed to be something wet/cool on my forehead. 'Why is it that I always get a really bad headache when I bang my head into something?' I asked myself.

"Well what did you think would happen when you scared him like that." I heard Jenavee say in an obvious unhappy tone to someone.

"Well it is not like it is my fault that he overreacted." Said someone else's voice. I tried to place the voice but for some reason could not. Whoever Jenavee was talking to, it was someone I didn't know. "I was just seeing who had woken me up from a really good dream and poked my head out to see who it was." The voice was no doubt feminine, and had a sort of a tone of someone talking under the water, if not all the way under the water. I guess the best way of putting it was that the voice sort of had a flow to it.

"Well he might not have reacted the way he did if you had not scared him like that." Was Jenavee's pathetic comeback.

'This conversation sounds like it will just keep chasing it's tail.' 'Jenavee.' I sent the last part to her through the psychic link. 'Could you and your new friend keep it down a little. I've got a pretty bad headache here.'

"Donovin, you are awake. Thank goodness."

I felt the bed...bed? 'When did...how did I?'

"Oh sorry about that Donovin. When I found you passed out in the bathroom after you yelled, and I pulled you back to bed." There was a pause. "Would you get back into the bathroom. I do not believe that now is the time to shock him with who you are." There was more shuffling then I heard a door shut.

"Well I guess that answers one question." I slowly opened my eyes and saw that the room was bathed in the morning light, which caused a dull ache. "Could you pull the shades a bit. My eyes are a little sensitive to the light right now."

"I will do you one better. Here are your glasses." I felt her place them into my left hand and I put them on. "How is that? Better?"

I opened my eyes again and the intensity of the mornings light that was coming through the window had been greatly decreased. When I turned to look at the sliding glass door to my left, Jenavee was bathed in the mornings light as she sat between the glass doors and me. "Now I know what heaven on earth looks like." I could see Jenavee blush, then turn slightly away from me.

"Oh you are just saying that." She blushed a deeper green and sort of pawed at me.

"No I'm serious. The way that the morning light just catches you right now, it makes you look heavenly." And I was sincere about it too. Something about the purity of the first rays of the morning sun just seemed to dance around her body, making her look like an angel. I took her chin and turned her to face me and gave her a slow sensual kiss on the lips. She seemed a little shock about my forwardness with the kiss, but slowly started to relax and kissed me back. A few moments later I pulled away and saw that she had a blissful look on her face with her eyes still shut. (Author: Play the 'Good Morning Beautiful' country song right now)

She slowly opened her eyes and gave me an even slower smile. "If you are able to kiss me like this...I guess you are feeling better then."

I smiled and placed my hand on her cheek and rubbed her face a little. "Thanks for watching over me." I gave her a quick kiss and then looked towards the door, then back to her. "So who or what were you talking to before I woke up?"

'Mood killer.' "Oh that? You will never believe this but it was our little Feebas." My eyes went wide as I jumped off the bed.

"Say what!?"

"Yes. It would seem that your Poffins and bow on her head really did the trick."

"But how?" I looked towards the door, then back to her. "When?"

"Sometime last night I believe." Jenavee swung her legs over the side of the bed and stood up, showing off her hourglass figure. She walked over to the door and slowly placed her hand on the knob. "When you said that it would probably take some time for the work that you did yesterday to take effect, I guess you were right." She turned the knob and slowly opened the door. "So be ready for a surprise." I nodded. "You can come out now Feebas."

"Why do you insist on calling me Feebas. Can you not see that I am no longer that filthy little fish I used to be." Time seemed to slow down as I was a little more prepared for a shock. A large serpent like head emerged from the bathroom and looked around. "Well, he at least he does not look as scared as he did this morning." With that came the rest of the very long water dragon.

It's red eyes had long red eyebrows that seemed like long pipe cleaners as they just hung in the air above it's head. On the top of it's head was a large horn that would probably be a mow-hawk on a normal person, while on either side of the horn was a set of very long ribbons that would easily reach down half of its body. The rest of the body was the same light brownish tan color until you reached the last quarter of it's body. The last quarter was very interesting as it was colored like a blue soccer ball, but with red patches here and there. And finally it had four fins on the end of it's tail that were blue with red inlays.

"Oh would you stop checking me out. It is like you have never seen or expected me to turn into a Milotic." Came the voice again, but this time it was a bit harsher than before.

"Undine." Was the only word that came out of my mouth.

"What did he just say?" Said the Milotic as she looked over at Jenavee.

"Well, if I did not know better. I would say that he just gave you a name."

"A name? Undine?" The large serpent came over and surprised me when she grabbed me with her two ribbons. "What in the world possessed you to give me such an..." The serpent turned and looked at Jenavee. "What is an Undine?"

"How in the world should I know. Why not just ask him, what it is. Or should I say, what your name means."

"Alright then." Milotic turned and shook me a bit with her ribbons. "Alright Donovin. What in the world is this Undine, and why do you want to call me that?" She said in a strait forward tone that insisted on an answer.

"Where I come from, it is an underwater goddess. They say that they are the most beautiful creatures of the sea. So much so that they are believed to be the goddesses. Unmatched in their water like beauty." A normal red blush started to show on Undines face as her eyes went wide.

"Undine...I guess...I guess I could get to like that name." She looked up at me and smiled. "Yes. I think that is a truly beautiful name for one such as me. After all, we Milotics are considered to be the most beautiful water Pokemon that there are." With that she let go of me and slithered over to the full length mirror and started repeating her name to herself over and over again under her breath.

I jumped a little when an arm landed on my shoulder. "Congratulations Donovin. I think you just got yourself a 20 foot beauty queen." I looked over at Jenavee who was leaning over the bed so that she could place her arm over my shoulder, then looked over at Undine and sighed.

"You know what. I think your right." Just then a spark hit me in the back of the head as an thought jumped to the front of my brain. "Wait a minute. How is it that she's able to speak my language?"

"Do you really think that all this time I spent in that ball I did nothing?" Undine turned and looked at me.

I reached up and scratched my head. "Well..." I said as I shrugged my shoulders.

Undine turned and faced the two of us fully. "I must have been the one Pokemon that you have collected that spent the most time in it's ball. I have probably spent more time in my ball then all your other girls put together."

"Wait a minute. You were self aware the whole time you were in the ball." I said in a shocked tone.

"Um duh. I think I just told you that. After all, I am speaking to you in your own language am I not?" She said rhetorically.

"Alright already. You don't have to be snippy about it." Undine came over and hit me in the chest with both of her ribbons.

"I think I have every right to be snippy right now. Especially with you Donovin." And with that she went into this like, prepared speech about her life in the ball. Plus whenever my attention would stray just a little she would slap my chest with her ribbon to grab my attention again. "So from this point onward, I will not be put back into that ball." She pushed me with her ribbon. "And I will make sure that you keep that promise you made to me when we first met."

I looked over to Jenavee. 'I think that our trip up Mt. Cornet has been postponed.'
