Sandshrew M/solo,

Dark and Alone, Chapter 1

"YOU SICK FREAK! GET OUT OF HERE NOW!!" Those words that sent him running from his home still rang clearly in his ears as he felt his heart ripped to shreds by the sword his new trainer had used to cut into his very soul. He wiped his tear filled eyes as he ran out the front door and into the darkness of a nearby forest. The night was lit with nothing but a plague of black clouds. The downpour that burst out from the sky soaked his hide. He continued to run, pushing out the tree branches that would whip him in the face. He looked back as the last of the light from the house disappeared into the void of black that the forest fed him. If he hadn't been so enveloped in thought, he might have noticed the tree branch that hung too low from the tree. Low enough to strike him under the chin as he ran full pace into it. In one bitter instant, he felt all the hatred that the forest, the rain, the house he had just fled and the women he had loved come into a perfectly allied pain, and its only purpose, was to hurt him. He skids along the ground for no more than a few feet before halting against a fallen tree trunk. It took him a moment before he tried to move his head off of the wet foliage. Mud dripping from his face, he sighed, lifting himself onto his hands and knees while staring at the ground. That ground that had been all too unforgiving. He could feel every little cut and bruise it had left along his stomach and face as well as the large gash that now bled from his chin. He found it much to painful to stand, he instead moved his tail out to the side of him and rolled over onto his back. Resting his head against the downed log he thought back to why he was now laying in the middle of a dark forest, at night in the rain alone with no one to love.

Like most trainers, Tobey's father was obsessed with getting his son to become a trainer. It was the Christmas that Tobey was three years old. He came down early from bed to find their tree surrounded by wrapped presents of all shapes and size. Santa had definitely been a busy person the night before. Tobey's face was lit up almost more than the Christmas lights his mother had put up around the front of the house. He surveyed the presents as well as any other three year old could, trying to pick out the biggest ones, almost already knowing that they would be for him. His dad came downstairs as did his mom, they weren't surprised in the least to see Tobey already holding the largest box; but he was a good lad, and he at least knew to wait for his family before ripping apart the wrapping paper. Inside the box Tobey found a smaller wrapped box; in that box, the same thing. Tobey finally came to the smallest box. He opened it and found what seemed like a ball wrapped in this light blue paper that had several big yellow 'P's on it. He tore the last of the paper off and held his new toy. His father, who stood in the doorway to the living room with a coffee mug in one hand smiled in anticipation as his son curiously held the red and white ball in his two hands, turning it every which way. Tobey had seen these on TV before, but had never had the chance to hold one.

"Go on Tobey, he's all yours." His dad said with a slight chuckle. "Open him up and meet your new friend." Almost as soon as his dad had finished talking, the Pokéball had hit the carpet and cracked open. A divinity of white light spread quickly into the room, forcing Tobey to squint his eyes. When he could once again see, he looked to the middle of the room. To his utter joy, a small sandshrew sat in front of him. Its eyes transfixed with his own. Its head tilted to one side, in the most curious of ways, and it uttered a soft "...shrew?" Tobey couldn't hold back his excitement, he through himself upon the small sandshrew, wrapping his arms tightly around him. The shrew toppled over backwards, but otherwise didn't move. "What will you name him? " His father asked him while bending down to pick the both of them up into his arms.

"Spaz. His name is Spaz daddy." Tobey said with a smile, hugging Spaz tightly while cradled in his father's arms. Tobey poked the still confused sandshrew then pointed his finger right in his face. "You got that? You are Spaz!"

"That's a weird name for a Pokémon that doesn't seem very energetic. But if that's what you want to call him Tobey, then that's what we'll call him too." His father sat the two of them onto the floor by the Christmas tree and handed another box to Tobey. His mother walked into the room holding a tray of cookies and a large glass of eggnog, and sat with the three other guys in front of the tree. Spaz was finally starting to feel at ease, his new family seems great, and he instantly found a deep bond between himself and Tobey. Right there and then, as the family sat and opened more and more boxes, he promised himself to always be there for Tobey, to always protect him no matter the cause. Tobey was done with his presents, but still hugged him close and said, with the innocence that only a young child would say "I love you Spaz!"

"Spaz! this is your chance! Fury swipes, now!!" Locked in dire battle with another Trainer, Tobey shouted new commands at Spaz. Spaz knew what to expect. Tobey was a great friend to him, and was an amazing trainer, but he didn't fool around when it came to battles, and he expects nothing less of perfection from Spaz. The Camerupt just a few feet from Spaz staggered around helplessly, clearly hurt from the now stagnant battle. This would be the end of it, the next blow would ease the battered and bruised Pokémon into a feeble attempt of unconsciousness. Spaz sneered slightly, taking a step back to re-affirm his footing, before leaping forward, his small claws primed and ready to strike. The blood curdling sound of his claws tearing into the flesh of that Camerupt which once stood tall and proud made Spaz sigh, almost feeling a bit of pity, as it crashed to the ground. A Pokéball fell beside Spaz, wrapping a crimson red beam of light around him, before pulling him into it. "Good work Spaz, you always make me so proud." Tobey glared over to the other kid, who kneeled by his fallen Camerupt, his face drenched with tears. "You should never challenge the best.. now, get him to a Pokécenter, or he might not make it." Tobey said with a sadistic chuckle. The kid took his Pokémon into his own Pokéball and ran off down the road. Tobey turn towards his bag, which rested up against a rock a few yards away from where he was battling. He picked up his belonging, his pack around one should, and Spaz inside his Pokéball being juggled back and forth in his hands. "You're so powerful Spaz.. why can't you just evolve?" He said as he began down the road, somewhat to himself.. but more directly at the Pokeball.

It was nightfall before Tobey had reached Goldenrod. The lights of the tall building made a beautiful skyline. The smooth pink sky seem to be decorated with all different shapes of buildings, and the dark outlines of some unknown flying Pokémon could be seen in the distance. It had been ages since Tobey had been in such a large place. The streets, even though it was night, were packed with different people from all over the place.. and many different Pokémon roamed around freely. The marketers were trying to sell all sorts of different merchandise, none that interested Tobey, but it was interesting to just stand back and take the whole experience in. The city was big, much bigger then his hometown of Slateport, which he hadn't seen in nearly 8 years. Tobey had already become an accomplished trainer back home. He had left Hoenn earlier that year, on his 15th birthday he was given the chance to come to Johto and challenge even more gyms. The conquests that every trainer hopes for. Tobey took it upon himself to beat them all, even if that meant traveling for many years with his greatest of companions, his little shiny sandshrew; Spaz.

The commotion of a large crowd finally snapped Tobey out of his slight daydream. Apparently a trainer had just beaten Whitney, the Gym leader in Goldenrod. The crowd of mostly young kids and reporters where all gathered around the front door of the gym, anxiously awaiting the trainer to exit. Tobey took it upon himself to wander over, in chance he might meet the trainer, and get some useful advise from him. As the doors opened and a very slim figured girl stepped out, Tobey's eyes widened, and his jaw dropped open. He way instantly mesmerized by the shear beauty of this girl that looked only a bit older then him, posed for the cameras. She twirled around on the spot, letting her long, dark red hair wrap around her. She stopped in front of the near cam, which happened to be right next to Tobey, posed with her newly won Gym badge held between he finger and thumb, and winked, mostly into the camera, but Tobey could have sworn she had actually winked at him. Lost in his feelings of attraction towards her, he let his Pokeball, which he had held in his hand since he got to Goldenrod, slip from his grip and hit the hard pavement below him. The light that scintillated from the ball formed into the shape of the sandshrew within it, caught the attention of the crowd, and especially, that girl. Spaz stood where the light once was, and looked up, His trainers eyes transfixed on nothing but the girl, he completely ignored the fact that Spaz was free, or that the crowd had turned their attention to him now. The girl looked down to the small sandshrew, who looked away from Tobey to meet her gaze. He too was fascinated by the mysterious girl that was staring him down. He felt a slight yearning twinge in his crotch. A scent never known to him before swirled into his nose. Something about this girl excited something deep within Spaz that he had not known of until that moment. He longed for something that not even Tobey could give him. He felt an incredible excitement building between his legs, and as she kneeled down towards him, he couldn't help but blush. She reached her hand out, and motioned for him to come to her. He wanted so badly to touch her, to feel her soft silky hair. He was afraid though, the thought of a human, even one as beautiful as her, being interested in him, tore through his hopes like the broken reality in which it was. But he had to touch her, he walked over to her casually, his un-pronounce sheath much to timid to be noticed even by the closest of inspections. Spaz looked back to Tobey, who had said nothing nor done nothing since he had laid his eyes on her. Spaz was within arms reach when she leaned over and scooped him into her own arms. She stood up, face to face with Tobey, Spaz cradled innocently in her arms.

"Is this little guy yours?" She asked, already knowing the answer. It took Tobey a few seconds before answering. She giggled holding the shrew under his arms out towards Tobey. He only shrugged, and nodded his head. "My name is Sequoia" she said with a bit more emphasis, hoping to elicit any sort of a response from him. "You have a very nice sandshrew here. He's shiny, isn't he?"

"Y-yea, he is.." Tobey stuttered, blinking quickly a couple of times in succession before finally starting to talk to her. "His name is Spaz; and I'm Tobey" working up more and more confidence, he reached out and took Spaz from her.

"He's quite a strong sandshrew, such an odd color to him too, why haven't you evolved him yet?" she was obviously intrigued by the fact that Spaz was indeed a very unusual color, even for a shiny Pokémon

"..Don't know why he hasn't evolved yet, I've trained him almost everyday for years and years, but he's still just a sandshrew; I must be doing something wrong."

"To beat Whitney, you'll need something stronger then just that sandshrew of yours.. no matter how powerful he is, nothing beats the power of an evolved Pokémon" She said with a arrogant smirk on her face. "I have the best idea for you. You'll be able to beat Whitney without any sort of problems, and I'll.." She paused for a moment. taking a Pokéball from her pocket and holding it out in front of Tobey. "I'll get your sandshrew to evolve for you."

"Really?" Tobey said with a curious tone in his voice. "How would you do that?"

"Easy, all you need to do, is trade me your sandshrew for my machoke. He made short work of that leaders stupid Miltank, and I'm sure he wouldn't mind doing it again. So? what do you say?" She patted Tobey on the shoulder, trying to reassure him that it would be okay. Tobey knew he needed to win. He had been training for this moment since he first set foot into Johto. "Don't worry about him Tobey, once you're done your battle with Whitney; you'll have a shiny new Sandslash. He'll be twice as powerful, and he'll be all yours." She glanced at Spaz again, knowing that soon he would be hers, she could already tell by Tobey's hesitance to say no, meant that he would give her the shiny sandshrew. She had no intensions of giving him back. As soon as Tobey would be out of sight, she would take Spaz and run. Run through the crowded streets and out of the bustling city. Run through the darkest of woods, filled with all sorts of Pokémon that might do her harm, and run to her small, cottage-like house beyond that forest. For this had been her plan since she laid eyes on Spaz. She new a shiny Pokémon was worth twice that of any other Pokémon. She knew she had to have him if she was going to be the best trainer out there, not this out of town farm boy, who obviously had trained well; but to her; Tobey was just another pushover, a pushover that stood in the way of her, and her fame.
She got what she was after.

The sun broke its vibrant rays out from behind the hilltops. The dew that blanketed the ground, glistened in the morning sunlight. Sequoia stretched her arms as she laid in bed, wrapped in nothing but her nightgown and a thing white sheet. She rolled over towards her night table and took the Pokéball that was set there by her the night before into her hands. She got up from bed, a smile of utter pride filled her face as she descended down the stairs towards the kitchen. She got her breakfast and ate it quickly, before running back to her bedroom to get dressed and get books for school. She looked at Spaz once more, before setting him back down on the night table. She would have the chance when she got home from school to crack him open and finally start their training. She wondered how far along Tobey had got him. "He must be close to evolving" she thought to herself. "If I could just train with him a bit more, He'll evolve." She waved once to the Pokéball, obviously not expecting any sort of response, but feeling that she at least owed that much to her knew best Pokémon.

It was nightfall once again before Sequoia got home from school. She may have been one of the most competent trainers around, but she always had problems with school. The teacher had kept her after school, trying to help her. Her mind was too full of thoughts to concentrate on her schooling. The bedroom door flew open as she kicked it. She hurried into her room and grabbed the Pokéball, throwing it at the ground. The all too familiar light filled the room, and a slightly confused Spaz was left standing on the ground. He watched her silently as she reached into her dresser drawer and pulled out a pink towel. She twirled her head around, making her wet hair splash water lightly over his face. She wrapped the towel around her hair, trying to keep her carpet a lot dryer then she had tried to keep him. Spaz looked to the window, realizing that it was pouring rain outside, and obviously that's what had soaked Sequoia. He was sure glad he was indoors, but he was still a little confused as to why he was here. He remembered the night before. The lights, the sounds, the smells. He remembered Tobey crying slightly, before saying "goodbye" and giving him a hug, and he remembered feeling a little embarrassed as this beautiful human; who now was alone with him in her room, had made him feel the night before, a longing he had never once felt before. Now He stood motionless, once again starring at this girl. Sequoia couldn't help but notice Spaz, lost in a trance, and starring at her as she pulled the base of her wet t-shirt, up to its collar, not noticing at first that she was giving him a directing showing of her young but firm breasts. She giggled a bit, pulling the shirt back down quickly and putting her hand over his eyes for a moment. Then, on her own, coming to the realization that she had nothing to hide. He was after all just a Pokémon. She actually was slightly intrigued by the idea of someone watching her as she undressed. She spun around slowly, putting on a strip tease for her new Pokémon as she took of the dripping shirt. She then wriggled herself out of her skirt and quickly wrapped the towel that had been around her hair, around her body.

"Tonight you can sleep outside of your ball" She said to Spaz, open the drawer of her dresser and pulling a new nightgown from it, slipping it on over the towel. "I want you to get used to this place. It's your new home now." Smiling again.

There's was no hope of Spaz falling asleep that night. He wasn't even sure he was supposed to be in that house, but he was almost too distracted to care. This girl; why did he feel what he did for her? Every time she looked at him, his heart skipped a beat. The way she moved her hips, and the way her hair swirled around her with every step made him sigh with a profound sense of contempt. He lay on his back in the bed of blankets and pillows Sequoia had made for him. His paw unconsciously wandered down to his sheath as he couldn't stop thinking about her. His member started to stir and grow, and made Spaz blush as he realized he was actually stroking himself lightly at the thought of his trainer laying in her bed a mere 3 feet away. He thought about the site of her breasts, which he had the unforeseen pleasure of seeing a few hours earlier. Spaz hadn't realized how much he actually enjoyed that little show of hers earlier. He sat up in bed, taking a moment to look up at Sequoia again, before deciding to get out of bed and take a walk around the house. He needed to calm himself down, this wasn't what he had wanted, was it? Surely a cute little sandshrew would come along one day and please him in more ways then any girl could, especially a human girl. Spaz paced slowly back and forth down the hall, the creaking of the old floorboards was the only sound that could be heard. Spaz was trying to be as silent as he could. In the state he was in, he was willing to do almost anything to be with her. He so badly wanted to touch her soft, silky skin, and it showed by the pink tip of his cock straining to releases itself from his sheath. He looked from side to side and before he even had the chance to see that no one was coming, had knelt down in the hall and took his member into his paw. It felt so good to finally have some release as his cock slid easily from its sheath, already dripping with precum. He couldn't picture anything but the elegant curves of Sequoias body as she danced in front of him. The playback of her striptease played through his mind in seemingly slow motion. His paw stroked up the length of his shaft, catching a spurt of precum once at the head of his member. He began to pant heavily, using his pre to quicken his pace. He could see every vivid detail for her body. Her firm breasts that he had only glanced at for a moment, sent a chill through his body like nothing had ever done before. Spaz couldn't help but to moan softly. He didn't know what possessed him to act the way he was acting, but he loved it. His tongue slipped out of his maw and dangled to one side as he thrust into his paw. He knew there was something wrong with what he was doing, but he didn't care. Spaz was almost at the point of no return. He felt something stir in his balls, as if everything inside them was starting to boil.

Then something happened, Spaz quickly spun to face the door behind which Sequoia slept. A rather loud thump had scared him back into reality, and he soon came to the conclusion that she, was awake. She had woken up just a few moments after he had left the room and rolled over in her bed to check on him, when Spaz wasn't there, she came to look for him. He couldn't believe he was about to be found out. Panicked, he tried to cover his member as best he could with his paws. The sound of her footsteps neared the door, he could do nothing now but wait. His cock still stood strong, it raged and ached for that one last stroke that would push him over the top and make him cum, but it was not going to happen. The door to the bedroom opened before Spaz. A dark silhouetted Sequoia stood ominously in the doorframe. With a flick of the lights, he was exposed to her. He stood blushing a bright red all over his face. He held his paws in front of himself, trying to mask what he knew she had already seen. She bent down to him, her face close with his, showing nothing but anger. In a bold move Spaz decided it was all or nothing, it was his time to show her what he felt for her, and what he wanted. He leaned in closer, turning his eyes away as not to meet her scowling gaze. He wrapped his paws around her head, and in one smooth movement, placed his lips upon hers. Never had he felt so in love. and for a moment, while she was still stunned and not showing any hesitation, he imagined her to be his. His eyes closed softly, his embrace still tight with her, but she wasn't kissing him back. He felt her pull away from him, and he knew that all was lost.

Sequoia screamed at the top of her lungs, making Spaz jump. She didn't want this perverted little sandshrew, far from it. She would have nothing to do with him. She yelled at him again, pointing to the front door. "Get out of here. YOU SICK FREAK; GET OUT OF HERE NOW!."

Spaz took off down the wooden stairs and out the front door. Into the rain, which seared his hide with every droplet. Not even able to see where he was going, he ran, as fast as he could.. and all he knew, was now dark.
