Story Notes:
The idea of the story came to me out of no where and I simply decided to write a story about it =D Please do understand it's my very first time ever writing a story like this. I enjoy writing short stories every now and then, but of this style? Nope, this is definitely a first =D. I hope you enjoy and review so i may improve in the future!
Chapter 1
Blood was dripping on the forest floor, as Wilson ran as fast as he could. He tripped over tree roots, and stumbled over rocks, but never the less still keeping his injured flareon in his arms.
"Let me down," struggled the flareon, "I can still fight!" Wilson ignored her. He knew she was in a critical condition, as blood was draining out of her body. He smelled it, and even felt it soaking her fur. It was a horrible sight for the trainer, but it wasn't anything he couldn't handle.
"Please Wilson, I can fight! Let me down!" The flareon's voice was weak, lacking the energy she used to have. She was pale and loosing blood even faster than before. This was just a sign for Wilson to run faster.
He was almost there. He saw the city lights through the trees as he ran towards it. It was a relief, as his flareon needed immediate care, not to mention the wounds on Wilson himself.
"What a stupid act," thought Wilson, "Sleeping while there are obviously wild pokémons out there, I should have known better!" Both Wilson and his flareon were caught off guard by an enraged rock type pokémon just hours before. Flareon was injured badly, as the rock pokémon went right for her, while Wilson received a nasty wound on his right side trying to get his flareon out of harm's way.
Immediately after that thought, Wilson tripped over something he couldn't identify. He fell forward, almost flying through the air for a second. He immediately turned; back facing the rough forest floor to make sure his flareon was safe from any further injury. Then, before he can even prepare for it, he slammed into the forest floor. It sent down a shockwave of pain down his spine, and through his extremities. He held the flareon right on top of him, using his body as a shield as he slid over the rocks and branches which tore on his flesh. He groaned in pain as he felt a sharp rock scrape over his fresh wound. It made it bleed again, and this time even worse than before. However, it wasn't time to care about that right now. His flareon's injuries aren't going to get better by themselves. He immediately stood up, ignoring his right side which was screaming in pain. He held the flareon even closer, and started running again.
"We're almost there Ember, hold on!" Wilson was screaming. Not because he wanted to, but because of the pain he was in. It wasn't the physical pain as it was insignificant to Wilson, but it was the emotional pain. His flareon, whom Wilson adopted ever since he was a child, grew emotionally attached to him. She was just an eevee back then. Overtime, Wilson himself can't help it but to grow emotionally attached to his flareon as well. To see his flareon in a condition like this was painful enough to almost bring tears to Wilson's eyes. Of course, Wilson never cried. He was known to be tough by the people around him. Sure, he liked to show that he was tough, but emotionally he was as soft as anyone can imagine. It was just the fact that he masked his soft side too well.
"Wilson, don't worry. I'll be fine." Wilson was always amazed at how Ember knew him inside out. She reads him like an open book. It was the same for Wilson too. He sometimes could have sworn that he heard Ember talking to him through his head. The flareon's mouth doesn't move, but he understood what she was thinking just by making eye contact.
The slowly receding sun wasn't helping the situation. Wilson's visibility of his surroundings decreased, and started to trip and fall more frequently. He was in a state that he didn't care about his own body. If it meant for Wilson to lose his limbs for Ember, he will not hesitate to cut it off.
Finally, he was there. He kicked open the doors of the pokécenter and a nurse immediately took attention of his flareon. Without even saying a word, she took out a flask of a strange dark blue liquid, smashed the top of the flask to open it, and poured it down Ember's muzzle. The flareon coughed, and then forcefully swallowed the liquid. The bleeding immediately stopped, and the wounds slowly disappeared.
"Go to room number 132, I believe that one is empty," said the nurse calmly, "Go there and I'll come back and treat you". Wilson was amazed at the speed of the nurse. Of course, nothing matters to Wilson right now. His flareon was safe, and that's all he needs to know.
He slowly walked towards room 132. He opened the door, and gently placed Ember on top of the bed. Wilson himself dragged a nearby chair, which felt like it was made out of lead, towards the bed and collapsed in it. He stared at Ember, still worried if she will ever be awake. Just then, the nurse came in, with a tray containing two flasks with different coloured liquids, and some other pills.
"Here," said the nurse, handing him the same thing that she gave to Ember, "Drink that, it will stop the bleeding." Wilson unscrewed the cap off of the flask, and then coughed at the strong odor emitting from the liquid. The nurse was treating Ember, dropping a couple of the pills down her throat.
"What is this?" Wilson coughed. The nurse simply smiled. "Its phorolin, a potion special to our city," she said, while washing down the pills in Ember's mouth with a strange orange liquid. Wilson took another sniff of the potion. The smell was so strong that he felt he was going to vomit. "If your flareon can handle it, then it shouldn't be a problem for you," said the nurse. Wilson took another look at the dark blue liquid. It actually looked very appetizing, but ironically smelled awful. He swirled it around, and saw streaks of light blue going in a swirling pattern with the flask. It looked interesting, but how it tastes was the question. Wilson looked back at his unconscious flareon, still worried if she will be ok. The nurse caught his glance, and saw the concern in his eyes.
"Don't worry," said the nurse calmly, "She didn't suffer any organ injuries. One of her major arteries was cut, and that was easily cured by phorolin." Wilson wasn't satisfied with the answer. He was still curious about what the nurse just gave her.
"That orange liquid and the pills, what were they for?" The nurse smiled, as she understood his concern for his pokémon.
"The pills I just gave her were to help her wake up," replied the nurse, as she screwed the cork back on the flask, "After that extensive blood loss, her body's first response is to sleep. Of course, since the phorolin already fixed that, that sleeping period was not nes-."
"And the orange fluid," interrupted Wilson, "What was that for?" Wilson knew he was being impolite, but he was worried about Ember and nothing mattered more than that.
"As you know your pokémon is a fire type," replied the nurse, who understood Wilson's concerns, "This potion was formulated especially for fire type pokémons to help restore their internal temperature. After losing a lot of blood, their body temperatures tend to be low, and-"
"A low body temperature for fire pokémons will cause them to be unconscious," interrupted Wilson.
"Exactly," said the nurse, with a smile on her face. She looked at the flask in Wilson's hands, and she slightly frowned. 'You should really drink that phorolin. You look pale too." Wilson looked at his right side. It was still bleeding. The blood had almost formed a little puddle on the chair.
"Well are you going to drink that or not?" asked Ember. She was now wide awake, sitting on the bed. There were still patches of dark dried blood on her fur. She smiled at the fact that her trainer cannot handle the potion, while she did.
"Oh, you're awake!" Wilson tried to make it sound as plain as possible, but still a small amount of emotion seeped through those words. Ember jumped off her bed, and stood beside the nurse. It was hard to contain his emotions at this point. Knowing that his flareon was okay meant everything to Wilson.
"Come on, it doesn't taste that bad." Ember herself was trying to hide her emotions. Her tail was wagging from side to side faster than usual.
"Oh fine I'll drink it. Stop making me look like a wuss." Wilson knew that there was a smile stuck on his face, and that he was acting really lame. He can't help it. Ember herself right now is resisting the temptation to just pounce Wilson. After all, she loved doing that.
"Hmm, you understand your pokémon?" the nurse asked in amazement, "There are not a lot of trainers nowadays who actually even bother to learn their pokémon's language." She kneeled down, and patted Ember on the head. She took a wet towel and wiped the blood off Ember's fur. The flareon smiled in approval.
"Well it's nothing really," said Wilson, still stunned by the stench of the potion. It's just like learning a foreign language." Ember nodded at his statement.
After hesitating for a couple of seconds, Wilson pinched his nose with his left hand, and poured the liquid down his throat. Wilson expected the worst, and of course, he got the worst. The liquid stung his mouth and throat. It tasted bitter with a nasty mix of sour in it. Not to mention the nasty after taste after he let go of his nose.
"Oh god that was awful!" Wilson bent over, with his eyes half closed. He looks like he just ate the most disgusting thing he has ever eaten. Ember snickered at his expression, with her tail still wagging furiously.
"I'll take that," said the nurse, placing the empty flask back on the tray. "You guys look like you need a serious bath. I'll go get you some towels." The nurse took the tray, and left the room. Ember stared at the door. Right when the nurse closed the door, she ran up and jumped right on Wilson. Wilson was knocked off balance, and fell off the chair.
"How did I know that was going to happen?" said Wilson as Ember licked his face.
"Why did you risk your life for me?" Asked Ember, as she laid her head on Wilson's chest, "I could have continued fighting, I-"
"Well, you were injured." Wilson interrupted; making sure his voice was calm and gentle. "I can't just leave you like that! You were losing tremendous amounts of blood." Ember gave Wilson an affectionate lick across his face. She then stuck her cheek under Wilson's chin, brining her body closer to his.
"I'm sorry Wilson. I just want to get back at that pokémon for what he did to you." Ember tried to find his wound with her left paw, but it has already healed, thanks to that potion the nurse gave them. Ember smiled and then looked at Wilson.
"I know what you were thinking Wilson. Before you tripped, you were worried about me," whispered Ember, now licking Wilson's neck. "I'm touched by the fact that you used your own body to protect mine." Wilson caught Ember's eyes, and they both looked at each other for a moment. Ember's eyes to Wilson were the most beautiful eyes in the world. They were a brilliant orange-red, filled with fire and passion. Strange thing is that it never looked angry. In fact, it was rather calming to look at her eyes. It always had a magical sparkle that caused a burning sensation in his heart. Obviously, it was a good feeling, as Wilson enjoyed this moment.
"Wilson, did I tell you that I love your eyes?" Wilson blushed at that comment. He always hated his eyes. They were a plain dull brown, that doesn't seem to sparkle at all. Ember brought her face closer to Wilson's, and gave him another affectionate lick. She placed her paws over his shoulder and Wilson unknowingly wrapped his arm around her. He sank his left hands into the wonderfully soft fur around Ember's neck, and rubbed her back using his right. There was a strange comforting warmth emitting from her. Of course, she was a fire Pokémon. Her body temperature can become very high. Wilson just took a moment to enjoy this. He then kissed Ember's long ears, in which Ember giggled in response.
"Hey, that tickles!" Wilson smiled. He absolutely enjoyed this moment.
"Ember," said Wilson, looking into her eyes, "I think... Well I think I'm..." He tried, but he was afraid of showing emotions. He was known as the tough guy, not the emotional one.
"What is it?" She asked as she licked Wilson's chin. Ember had wanted to be close to Wilson ever since she evolved. She was bigger after she evolved into a flareon, and therefore could do more things to please Wilson than before. Of course, there are a lot of things Ember could do to please Wilson, but she wasn't thinking about those. She was thinking about things beyond of what normal friends would do.
"I think you're beautiful Ember." It wasn't a lie, but it wasn't what he wanted to say. He stroked Ember's ears, and she gave a beautiful smile that melted Wilson's heart. Ember blushed after that statement. Wilson stroked her neck, still amazed at the softness of her fur. Ember purred softly, almost like a cat. Wilson smiled at that thought.
"Wilson?" said Ember in an almost pleading voice, "Can you umm... hold me the way you did just a while ago?" She blushed, brining her face closer to his. Wilson placed his left hand over her neck and slowly stroked it. He then placed his right hand on her back just like before. Ember then squeezed her body into Wilson's embrace.
"Like this?" Ember gave him a lick across the chin in satisfaction. Wilson liked it too. He had always thought that his friendship with Ember had been more than just that. Embracing her in this position satisfied him. Ember had her eyes closed, and the warmth she was emitting became stronger. She slowly opened her eyes, as she gave Wilson a soft lick on the nose.
"Ember, I never knew that your fur was this soft!" said Wilson as he stroked her again from her head all the way to her tail. Ember returned a soft lick to his nose in agreement. Knowing how much Wilson loved her fur, Ember pushed her body even close to Wilson's. She put her paws around Wilson's neck, and rubbed her face against his.
"Really," whispered Ember, "Well I'm not going anywhere, I'm all yours." Wilson wrapped his arms around Ember again, and stroked her back. She then purred in satisfaction, making her appear to be more of a feline rather than a canine. Wilson didn't mind though, he loved it either way.
Of course, this wasn't enough to satisfy Ember. She wanted something more sexual with her beloved trainer. She wanted Wilson in her. However, Ember knows Wilson all too well. He won't agree to it. Ember sighed at that thought, and slightly frowned.
"What's wrong? Was it something I did?" Ember heard this and immediately brought back the smile she had on her face.
"No it isn't that, nothing like that." Said Ember, with her face slightly blushed, "It's just that- I- I want to kiss you..." Ember knew that Wilson won't break her heart, but it still required all the courage she had to get those words out of her mouth. What will he think about a pokémon in love with a human? She closed her eyes, not ready for the answer that Wilson was about to give her.
"S- Sure Ember," replied Wilson, as his face blushed red, "It really depends on what kind of kiss you me..." Wilson was cut off as Ember closed her small muzzle on his mouth. He felt Ember's tongue make contact with his, gently rubbing the tip of his tongue. It was a feeling Wilson never experienced before. He held Ember even closer, and returned the favor. He invaded Ember's mouth, and felt her warm tongue wrap around his. Wilson never has felt this good, and at the same time, never so guilty. Was making love with a pokémon even allowed? He decided to push these thoughts aside, as this moment was too valuable to ignore. He ran his right hand down Ember's luxuriously soft fur. It was warm and soft, and felt better than anything Wilson has ever touched. He then wrapped his left arm around Ember's floofy neck and held her close. He could almost feel their hearts pounding in unison, as Ember continued their passionate kiss. It was perfect. Everything that was happening right now seemed perfect to Wilson. It's the fact that he was close to his flareon, and receiving a kiss from her at the same time that made everything else insignificant to him. It was a moment that both Wilson and Ember did not want to end. However, this wish was short lived, as Ember broke the kiss. She looked up, and wiggled her ears. She heard someone coming this way.
"The nurse is coming back." It took a while for Wilson to adjust to the emergency, or so called emergency. Ember immediately jumped off of Wilson. Wilson himself grabbed the chair he was sitting on before and sank into it. His face was red, he felt it. He looked at Ember. She was blushing just like him. He felt cold, as the warmth from Ember was gone. The nurse opened the door, with two dry towels in her hands.
"I'm sorry for the wait, another accident happened. I had to help them first." The nurse placed the two neatly folded towels on top of the bed. "Everything else you need is already in the bathroom." The nurse looked at the flareon, and back at Wilson, and slightly frowned "Is everything alright? You both look red."
"Yea, yea I- I'm fine!" said Wilson in a rushed tone. The nurse wasn't satisfied with his answer.
"I'll come and check up on you tomorrow, you two don't look so good. I have to take care of something else right now. Make sure you guys get some sleep, these injures were pretty serious" The nurse half walked half ran out of the room, and closed the door behind her. Wilson looked at Ember, and caught her eyes. She blushed, and smiled at the same time. Wilson can't help it, but to smile as well.
"Do you love me Wilson?"
"Yes Ember, I do..."Chapter End Notes:So if the story was a torture for you to read, please do leave a review so I improve.
