Victory?

CHANSON DU SOLITARE

V.
Crystal waked up to Yoshi, determined to make this work. The last few months had been a whirlwind, and she needed to let him know how she felt at the very least. He was her raison d'etre, and that's what made the feeling so strong. But she knew the mating season was soon, and she'd go insane if she had to survive without Takeru.
"Yoshi?" she asked. "Are you free?"
"Sure," he said. "What's up?"
"I want to know something. Do you love me?"
The question utterly puzzled Takeru, who misunderstood Crystal's intent.
"Of course I love you, Crystal." he replied.
"Really?" she squealed, her eyes lighting up.
"Of course." Takeru said. "I love all my friends."
The sentence crashed on Crystal's reality to the most severe extent one could imagine. He didn't even consider a romantic possibility. But though she was utterly broken, she made every possible effort to hide the damage Takeru had unwittingly done.
"Thanks." she smiled.
"Wonder what that was all about?" Takeru thought.

Santiago stood at the tip of a cliff. His blood-red eyes would pierce anyone, and his jet-black hair distracted even more. He called out to a nearby soldier.
"Viktor!" the villain called out.
A brown haired, blue eyed man ran towards him, and saluted.
"Viktor! I need you to spy on His Majesty Yoshi Takeru." he said bitterly, spitting as he said Takeru's name.
"How do you wish the information to be acquired?" the man said in a heavily Russian accent.
"Get whatever you can, however you can." Santiago replied. "And for God's sake, try to ditch the accent, and change your appearance."

Crystal was obviously sullen. The fact Takeru didn't even consider her for any sort of romance was eating her away. She'd be in heat soon, and if he wasn't with her then, she'd go insane. She decided to make another run to May for advice. She hadn't given up yet. It could happen. It could very well happen.

As she approached May, she though long about what could happen. Maybe she'd say just to come out and say it, to be subtle, or worseâ"to let her handle it. The thought of May telling Takeru everything was unbearable. She sighed, and walked over to her.
"I...err...tried to see if the guy liked me." she said.
"Oh really? How'd it go?"
"I asked him if he loved me. He said he loves all his friends."
"That's good." May commented.
All of a sudden, Crystal broke into tears.
"No. It's terrible. He didn't even think for a second about romance."
"Oh...usually I pick up on these things."
"Please, help me, May! I need to know what to do!"
May thought for a while.
"Well...I guess I could try to set you guys up..."
"Really?" Crystal replied, hopefully. "You could?"
"Sure. Just tell me his name.'
"T-T-Takeru."
"Whoa. Aiming a bit...high, are we?"
"Please! He's my raison d'etre! Plus, it's mating season in a few months, and when that happens, I'll go crazy if we're not together by then! Please, you have to help me!"
"Alright." May said. "I'll see what I can do."
"Thanks."
"And what's a raison d'etre?"
Crystal blushed slightly. "My reason to wake up in the morning. The love of my lifeâ"my reason to live, my reason to be."
May shed a single tear. "That's so sweet! He'd be a fool not to have you. Don't worry, you'll have him."
"Thanks," Crystal said. "I knew I could count on you."

A few hours later...

May walked over to Takeru, who was staying at the Lilycove Hotel. She was determined to secure him for Crystal. It would be hard, of course, as the biological aspect, the aspect of species itself, would be the main foe---as well, he was royalty for an alien empire, though from what she'd seen, he was very down to earth.
"Hey, Takeru," she said.
"May! How's it going?"
"Good. Listen, I have a friend, and she's madly in love with you."
"Really?" Takeru asked, thinking May meant herself. "What does she look like?"
"Umm...sort of a black and bluish color, with sapphire eyes."
"Ah..." Takeru said, realizing it wasn't May (and was glad he hadn't acknowledged his earlier suspicions.)
"Listen, she's kinda not what you'd think you'd be going for, but she's sweet as can be, and she loves you to death. She says you're her reason to live, to wake up, that you're the love of her life...her raison d'etre, her reason to be, "
"She sounds perfect...do I know this woman?"
"Yes."
"Very well."

Later...
May ran up to Crystal, overjoyed at what she had to say.
"I described you to him, including the 'raison d'etre' thing. He said you sound perfect. But I didn't tell who you were."
"That works." Crystal said. "I guess I'll take over now. Thanks, May."

That night, they were all out for dinner, although Crystal stayed behind, feigning illness. In reality, she was in heat, and began to crave Takeru. She did everything to concentrate away from him, meditating, watching TV, masturbating, but it was all in vain. Eight hours later, Takeru arrivedâ"and, to his embarrassment, caught her in that last method of concentrating away from him.
"Um...Crystal," he said, "I, uh, well...um..."
She quickly covered herself.
"No, come in...sorry about that."
Takeru entered the room, completely unnerved. He sat on his bed, and predicted an hour or so of awkward silence.

Crystal had other plans.

She slowly walked over to him, and sat on his lap, clinging to him, obviously causing him to be confused. The burning sensation within her was causing pure madness, and she was going mad with lust for Takeru. But she kept her calm, and unnerved him even more. He was freaked out, but curious at the same time...curious as to what she was up to. Finally, she snapped.
"GOD! I can't take this any more!" she yelled.
"Take what?" he replied.
She did not respond, but began to disrobe him.
"Um...Crystal..." he chuckled uneasily, "this is a bit of an invasion of personal space."
She simply looked at him and began with his belt. Suddenly, he unleashed a tiny wave of energy that repelled her, then a stasis wave so she didn't fly against the wall.
"Whaâ"what the HELL?" he sputtered.
She then began crying.
"I'm sorry!" she said. "I...I couldn't help myself...I have to have you...I love you...raison d'etre."
Suddenly, he realized May meant Crystal earlier.
She kept crying.
"I know! I'm just a...a...a whore now!" she yelled. "A filthy whore, aren't I?"
Takeru's heart was suddenly moved, and the confusion and slight anger subsided instantly. He walked over to her, and hugged her.
"No." he said. "Don't say that. You're not a whore, you just moved with your emotions."
"Really?"
"Of course!"
"I'm sorry," she said. "I...I just...when I met you, I thought you were perfect, and I wanted to marry you, to be with you forever...because you were the first person to ever give a damn about me, and I thought you wanted to marry me..."
Takeshi smiled, and then thought for a moment. He then spoke.
"Crystal, I love you. I really do. I'd love to marry you sometime in the future, when Harberia is free of Nyonians...and we could live a perfect life there. But I'm a warrior. I'm a fighter. I could die any day, and if you can realize that every day, I could go ff, without warning, and not return...I don't want to hurt you. But if I went off to war, I very well could die, and I know it would hurt you, and that's what I want to avoid."
"But isn't it better to have loved, to have seen it, than to live in doubt forever?" she replied.
"Perhaps...but I guess if the desire is that strong...know that I love you. I wish none other than to be with you forever."
"Really?" she asked.
"I swear it on my life."
She looked upon her lover's face, and she realized that this was Fate's odd way of working. But this was sent into concrete when the burning feeling returned.
"Yoshi," Crystal said, serious as ever, "I know this seem urgent, but I love you, and I know you love me. I'm in heat now, and I need to mate...but only with you, I only wish to be with you."
Takeru was utterly shocked (yet internally ecstatic) at this.
"Uh...shouldn't I...uh...go to the drugstore andâ"?" he began.
"No," Crystal replied. "Don't. Just...please..." she pleaded.
"Fine...so, um...how do I...you...I'm a bit confused here," Takeru stuttered.
"Just go with it," Crystal replied coolly, although the picture of calmness was a façadeâ"inside, she was bursting with excitement.
He kissed her, suddenly, to heat things up. Their tongues danced inside, and to Crystal, it confirmed their future together as lovers.
She immediately took both their clothes off, as he was too nervous to do so.
"Are you sure?" he asked.
"If you are," she replied.
She reached down; his member was stiff and alerted, as if it had its' own mind. Unlike it, he was nervous. She directed it inside, and it began. After thirty seconds or so, she thrust forward, to burst the hymen.
"Dear God!" Takeru began. "You're...bleeding? Oh, God..."
"No, no, no, it's my first time. I'm definitely going to have a little blood there," she replied quickly, hoping to keep things going.
"Um...OK." he said.
Knowing his nervousness would soon kill the mood, yet not wanting to hurt her by a vicious thrust, he picked up the tempo and began kissing her wildly at the same time. Crystal was avidly puzzled, but loved it nevertheless.

After a few minutes or so, the two felt a pulsing feeling that felt like a 9.0 earthquake on the Richter scale. They both knew what it was, and Crystal knew it as the feeling she had in the dreamâ"the momentary blissâ"an orgasm. It was as if his sperm had extinguished the fire within her. He kissed her again, and the two fell asleep.

A week later, things were back to normal. They said very little about it (although Crystal told May, sparing the most intimate details) to anyone, or each other. They were engage then, and life was a roller coaster. The future may have been uncertain, but they knew in their hearts that they'd find a way. Suddenly, though, Crystal walked to Takeru in the middle of the night, extremely nervous.
"Yoshi. I, um...I have to tell you something."
"Yes, mon amour?" he replied.
"Um...well, OK, you're going to love this..."
"Yes?"
"I'm pregnant."
